2201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can disappear? on: August 19, 2016, 01:09:31 PM
I think so, but it's highly unlikely that it's almost as if it's impossible. It can happen only if all the data in the Internet gets deleted (at least everything that is related to crypto-currencies). After all, bitcoin is just a digital data that exists solely in the Internet. Even if there are physical bitcoins, those coins would have no value at all if the addresses attached to it gets deleted.
2202  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: August 19, 2016, 12:52:11 PM
If you leave until maybe 2080-2090, then yes, you will live long enough to see bitcoin reach 50K

Pretty sure, yes. Scarcity is what makes something so valuable. Bitcoin isn't that scarce at the moment. If people starts to switch from using fiat into using bitcoin, then the journey towards 50K will start. People should embrace the use of Bitcoin because of the privileges that you can get from it but as of now, it's really unlikely. The media had given bitcoin a bad name and commoners (if you will) tend to believe everything that is written on popular pages on social media sites.
2203  Economy / Speculation / Re: This price (~$575) is normal and good, and here's why... on: August 19, 2016, 12:39:44 PM
So why is everyone freaking out about a "low price"?
Because everybody thought bitcoin halving = doubling difficulty = doubling the price of bitcoin. I'm one of them to be completely honest with you guys. When it pumped to 785$, I was all like "Okay, the pump is just starting." Until it went lower and lower and now we're stuck in this price which is much better anyway compared to the price before the pump.

2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: August 18, 2016, 08:02:36 AM
I read in a book once, you're actually better going with both heroin and hookers. As the heroin helps your body fight off AIDS that the hookers will have.

You are just kidding, right? To stay away with gambling, that person is looking to better his/her life and not go to another equally or more vices that makes a mess life.

The person who seek help out of addiction is looking for a healthy and clean life.
When considering the health hazard of those habits, gambling addiction is much far better to handle with. I never agree even with the habits of smoking or alcoholic drinking to get rid of gambling addiction. Dopes real human killers similar to slow poisons. Never go for that. It is equal and to suicide. Instead of  it, you may continue your gambling at least your life may be secured.
Some people might injure themselves because of too much drug intake but drugs doesn't necessarily make people commit suicide. There are tons of drug users out there that died but not most of them are because they committed suicide. Once you have no more money to buy drugs, it will only kill you mentally. In any case, gambling addiction is still better than drugs and prostitutes.
2207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Gambling Sites Do You Favour? on: August 18, 2016, 01:25:59 AM
As long as the website is not taking too long to load, the deposits and withdrawals aren't taking hours, and if the game isn't obviously rigged, if the people in the troll box are funny, then I'm good with the gambling site. I would suggest sportsbetting to those who are thinking that the house edge is 'too much' that the whole game is made to make them lose money. OP, have you tried a crash game? If not, you might wanna check out Bustabit.com. I had a lot of fun on that site.
2208  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: August 17, 2016, 02:56:32 PM
I doubt that dollar will crush. As all American dollar has the best promotion, that's why it is so popular in the world and well known. Dollar rules the world nowadays. So I'm sure it will not crush in nearly feature, in far future - who knows?!

I agree with you the Dollar won't crush. USA is the first of the developed countries to start raising their interest rates again. It is far more likely in near future that we will see $1=1€  than a $ crash.

The reason that the US dollar will not crash is that it has the strongest power in the world. When it is overtaken, US dollar will crash.
Who knows? Even though it's unlikely, with all the issues that the US has and all the debt that they have, we can't say for sure that USD will never crash. USD has a power right now because all money exchanging stores around the world accept it and USA is a great country. The election is coming up, the economy of USA might be affected by the future decisions of the next president.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: August 17, 2016, 12:37:36 PM
It could be fun at first because you're thinking that you're making money by gambling. You might get the feel that you're starting to become a hustler. After some rounds of winning, you start to imagine what type of life you could have by continue hustling and stuff. Sometimes, you might even get the feeling that you have a solid working "strategy" towards the gambling site that you're playing on. It's fun even if you have that blank face, in your mind, there are tons of things going on. There's a lot of imagination and fantasies about money in your mind.
2210  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: August 17, 2016, 03:08:57 AM
I don't think that's a good way at all but it can make you a fortune after a decade or two. Your profit would still be depending on how much you invested in the first place. The process of it is just not that good. All you're doing is holding bitcoins, no knowledge and no experience will ever be gained by that action. Also, you're unable to use any bitcoin at all because you want to get as much profit as you can.
2211  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN?? on: August 16, 2016, 01:02:19 PM
Probably like how I usually explain Bitcoins to other people. Girls can understand bitcoins easily enough if they are interested. I'll tell that it's money that exists on the Internet. People use it for buying/selling stuffs. Like in real life, people use bitcoins in crime as well. I might as well tell her how much I'm earning per day and what is the potential price per bitcoin today. Sadly though, I don't have a girlfriend to tell these things.
2212  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: August 16, 2016, 11:23:30 AM
they are (as myself for example) not related at all to the site, and have no influence or involvement in how such a site runs their business.
Entirely false. You are advertising Betcoin.AG together with other participants. Of course you guys are connected to the business already. You and the campaign manager had an agreement about you advertising their company in your signature.

It is like saying that people using Bitcoin are knowingly promoting crime, because someone bought drugs or weapons using Bitcoins.
Nope, you can't just compare the use of Bitcoin to you promoting Betcoin.AG. They are not the same. Basically, you are like saying "Look at the sun, and now look at this *any random object*. Aren't they the same?"

What I said above might be unclear so let me put it this way instead. Bitcoin users might use bitcoin for scam. But in Betcoin.AG, the company itself were the one accused for scamming.

Anyway, as I am the one who updated the latest table, the asterisk is there because of the numerous unresolved issues that Betcoin has and not because the campaign isn't running well nor is it because the campaign manager is delayed on payments.
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Takara Bitcoin Game Lets You Collect BTC And Counterparty Tokens on: August 16, 2016, 09:26:42 AM
Not sure why would I drop some bitcoins somewhere in the world when I can just keep them on my private wallet. PokemonGo was just out there for like a month or two and there's a bunch of bots available already. If they could do that on a GPS-based game like PokemonGo, pretty sure they can do it in that app as well. Nevertheless, this idea is actually good if people aren't required to drop bitcoins for other people to pick up. And that should be really fun to play if getting the "tokens" is as easy as getting Pokemons.
2214  Other / Off-topic / Re: How kids can "earn" Bitcoin ? on: August 15, 2016, 02:22:22 PM
My kid wants to make some money.

I never cared much of those easy systems but seems it would work for him.

I gave him 2 faucets but i ALSO remember there was servers/games where one could make Bitcoin [or altcoin] just for playing.

Would you remind ?
How old is your kids?I think they have to be minimum 14 years old
Well, some kids can read. You should try doing that as well. OP answered that question before. It's on the second page of this thread:
~snip~
10 yeard old. And yes i know they have to study.. but since they have free time and can "play" games [i said which] or watch LOADS of youtube on the side - they could also make some "internet money" and possibly understand how it works

If your kids already able to access internet and think like adult , you probably able to teach more easily how to gain bitcoin.
As we know there are many technical problem on bitcoin so it require some dicipline and dilligent attitute to learn all about bitcoin
I've never seen a kid think like a completely mature adult. Maybe some kids like to act as one, but if you ask them questions that only mature people knows, they would never be able to answer those (at the time, at least). I think you shouldn't take advantage of the qualities of your kid and ask him/her to make money. Maybe the reason why your kid is always on the internet is because he's trying to learn something. Don't interrupt him from growing by making him earn Bitcoins. He can earn Bitcoins later in his life anyway.

2216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: August 15, 2016, 09:18:08 AM
I don't know, maybe one day they will invent something whcih will make impossible to hack an exchange, but for now you are absolutely right. Btw IMO even if such a thing will be invented they still can be hacked from the inside so, yeah, it's better to not keep much coins on an exchange, ever.
TL;DR: Nothing is unhackable. Wink

What country do you live in my friend ? I hope you are not living in a very poor country but still even there anyone can buy a PC with old parameters now like a Core2duo with 2 to 4 GB of ram. Even if you have a shared PC with other people you can create a user for yourself and set up your own desktop wallet there. Just make sure to install Mulitbit HD or Electrum and keep the seed safe and you should have no problems. Leaving the coins on the exchange is a very bad idea after so many "hacks" happening lately.
Well, it's never safe to store your coins in an exchanging site. After all, the people are all anonymous and they could use the "hack" card to just run away together with people's fortune. But tbh, one shouldn't store his coins in a single 'basket'. Some people that I talked with suggests that I store 1/3 of my coins in exchanging site, 1/3 in a gambling site, and then 1/3 in my wallet. The reason they suggest that is so that even if any of those 3 gets hacked, only 1/3 of your coins will be gone and not all of them at once.
2217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Make a Living Trading? on: August 15, 2016, 02:57:45 AM
It is indeed possible to make a living out of trading altcoins but its quite unlikely if you're going to try out every single one of the alt coins out there. At first you're gonna be needing a decent amount of capital and skills. And then you're going to need to do some research first before you put your money into an investment because there's a lot of scam coins out there. You should be in a group as well so you could always for help and advice from experts.

2219  Other / Off-topic / Re: How kids can "earn" Bitcoin ? on: August 14, 2016, 06:56:16 AM
I think kids are not interested in bitcoin but if there is a good game like pokemon go that related in bitcoin maybe they can earn while they are playing the game.. but for now i dont heard any apps like that..

May be we will see those apps in future which are designed only for kids to earn bitcoin from it, but I really feel that kids will find the concept of bitcoins complicated at this early age.
I don't think a company would fund a game that is made for kids to earn money. Most people are matured enough to know the fact that kids aren't supposed to get out of their house and then grind and hustle to earn some money. Even if that is a game, if their main objective is to earn money, then it still isn't appropriate for kids.

Kids should be at home studying and enhancing themselves for the betterment of their future. Money isn't the only thing that people should be thinking of. Kids should develop a skill set that they can use to survive and to fund themselves once they grow up.
2220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyrpto vs Fiat on: August 14, 2016, 06:08:50 AM
In the offline world, you can't actually use crypto. Most people don't even know it, so fiat is still a necessity if you want to live in this world. I see no downside in fiat as it is accepted anywhere in the world.

In the online world, it's quite easy to earn crypto. It's also easy to use it. The main advantage of fiat over crypto is that you can trade it and earn profit out of just trading for a short while. The disadvantage in using crypto is that you can only use it online, if there's no internet connection, then you can't use it.
