1662  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you know when a site tries to scam you? on: December 06, 2016, 04:29:28 PM
One way of those scammers try to scam you through getting your personal informations from you particulary your primary e-mail. These scammers dig up you more infos even personal questions even your birthday and anniversaries. They are more agressive in getting your details and try many tricks to get you attached to them and that you should be aware of.

That's why most sites require you to use a combination of characters, a number, and an alphanumeric character. Back then, people would just use their name as a password or if they're feeling creative, they will use their name but in a backward manner. Some use numbers as well but it's just the date of their date or someone related to them. If a hacker would bruteforce someone that has a password like that, it wouldn't take that much for him to get into the account.

There's also the secret question back then which is quite easy to hack. You just have to know the personal details of the person that you want to hack (i.e. mother's maiden name, first school that have been to, etc.) It's not that hard to get all those details by just talking to the guy either personally or online.
1663  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who controls the Bitcoins? on: December 06, 2016, 04:15:02 PM
Why China? I'm afraid we never know for sure.

watch mr. robot ~  Wink

No need for him to watch a TV series for like 12 hours straight for one season. I've finished watching one season of Mr. Robot because it has been mentioned in various threads in this forum and from what I watched I think your reason was because the main data drives are located in China. I'm not sure though because I don't really have a deep knowledge about the subject. It was like all of their hacking activities needs to get something done in China as well. For example, if they want to hack a company, they also have to hack the drives in China or get help from the Cyber army from China.

If what's in the story of Mr. Robot is actually a real thing, then China is a huge part of the Internet, both in bitcoins and in the dark Net. But I think the actual reason why people say that China controls bitcoin is because they hold a huge part of the total bitcoins in circulation.
1664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin died tomorrow on: December 06, 2016, 04:05:21 PM
Give up on life and throw my PC away ^^ Well we would go back to boring prebitcoin times. We will all be poor and homeless.
No bitcoin no life. But this will not happen.

No reason for you to throw away your PC because surely another thing will rise after the fall of bitcoin. People will always think of a new thing to make money online. There are also other things that you can do even right now to earn bitcoins. Do not limit yourself from what you're doing right now. There are still sources of income waiting for you to explore them.

Don't give up on life just because bitcoin died. There's more to life than to bitcoins (just like the saying).
1665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: December 06, 2016, 03:53:44 PM
People around me are really difficult to deal with. They see me as someone who is doing something illegal by having an idea about Bitcoin but they want to know about it, yet they dont want to take the risk. So what I do is simply do my thing in my own way and leave them to be curious about what I am doing and making money... Hopefully, they get to be ready to take the step in due time...

You would definitely have a hard time convincing people that you're not doing anything illegal in the bitcoin world and you've worked really hard to get all of your earnings. There are times when getting a good amount of bitcoin is really easy to do (i.e. participating in an altcoin bounty and then the coin got pumped up) but you wouldn't be able to do that if you didn't study before, if you didn't possess all of the necessary requirements. Just continue what you're doing and don't care about them. You don't need a validation from them to become successful in life anyway.
1666  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: December 06, 2016, 03:45:21 PM
Getting rich with bitcoin is not an easy job right now because you need to spend lot of your fiat currency into bitcoins and you need to wait many years. Nobody don't know how many years it will take, in this case you are lucky enough to make money with bitcoin. But with patience one day you will really make some more cash with bitcoin but no idea how long it will take.

There is a shortcut for that.  If you are a superb coder or not, with a great concept and new idea, you can build or create your team and plan a new ICO for that project.  If you are successful in convincing people they might invest in your project and gather around 100 BTC or more.  In just a span of one month ICO, you can get rich quickly  .  Just make sure not to scam your investor lol.
a dream is just a dream if you have nothing new to show and worth
building an ICO project is not a bad idea actually
but to get rich you need more than that , okay it's a first step
the most important is to have a consistency and a strong will, and with bitcoin you can achieve it faster.
Building an ICO project to get rich? LOL, then you might have an intention to run away with your investors money. i can't argue that many of alt coin projects are now seeking for many investors to their project to make it success but i think making an ICO in order to gain money is just a bit rude didn't it? while an actual purpose of an ICO is to make the project success

Maybe he thought that ICO devs are earning millions out of ICOs because they collect millions of dollars after the solicitation. What they didn't know is that it's being used to pay for the advertisement, the devs, the website makes, etc. There's a lot of expense in ICOs. Even just signature campaigns take a lot of money to pay.

Regardless, people are willing to destroy their name in the bitcoin world just to get a lot of money. Committing sins and running away from the investors is no-brainer for scammers. They aren't concerned to those people that actually believed that investing in their project would be worth it.
1667  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: December 06, 2016, 03:31:29 PM
I updated the table and tried to make some kind of abbreviations for that.
It's not a world class design though, but feel free to make it prettier Wink
Thanks for the update! Smiley I moved it on top of the table just so all of the abbreviations are together.

Tnx fatanut for updating and adding crazybtrade on the active list and we are currently accepting new application. However i just want you to add something that crazybtrade now offers slots for member rank .00025/post thanks

Regards
Also added Member pay-rate on the new table
You put 0.00025BTC maybe it was because it was what chixka posted but it's different in the OP of their campaign. I was kind of confused because they only pay 0.000015BTC for jr member and so I checked. It's actually 0.000025BTC.

1668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: December 05, 2016, 05:15:20 PM
I find that all alt coins are crap. They eventually all die away after they go threw their cycle.
Bitcoin is the only one that seems to stay.

Altcoin maybe crap in your eyes but you cannot deny the fact that altcoins help promotes bitcoin in every corner of the world.  I can never learned of bitcoin if it was not for Dogecoins, and other member of this forum have the same experience like me.  Another example of this is Pesobit that gives awareness about the existence of bitcoin  to the OFW since PSB is promoted together with bitcoins.

I think even without mentioning to people what bitcoin is, simply promoting a cryptocurrency will lead to them finding out what bitcoin is and becoming interested to it. I think of the altcoins as a train that you can ride and those people that went in first can get their profit quickly while those people that have been riding the train for a long time will get a lot of profit. But the best ones do not wait for a long time but only wait for the best time to get out of the train. The train is also doomed to crash any time, by the way. So the guy was right, this is basically the cycle of an altcoin's life.

On the other hand, I really do think that riding that train and taking the risk that it can crash without any warnings is much better than just standing in the train station while judging or complaining how the train crash eventually.

TL;DR: Better to invest in an altcoin and take the risk than do nothing. Investing in altcoin is like riding a train that can crash anytime so you better get out of it when you think the time is right. In other words, sell your altcoin when you think the price is high enough.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2016, 04:30:33 PM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink
I think the main reason is bitcoin uses in dark market. People are affraid  this coin to use as mode of payment because of that.
Another reason is that there are too many HYIP scammed sites that uses bitcoin. Hence, alot of people were scammed and find bitcoin market isn't good so.

It's okay to know all these things about bitcoin. We can't change these facts but people should realize the fact that all those scams and all those bad activities related to the use bitcoin will never do harm to them unless they try and go near it. It's like the thorn of a plant. You won't get hurt if you don't touch it. If you don't invest in hyip sites, then you will not get scammed. If you simply stay away from it (both from the thorn and hyip site), you'll be safe.

There are too many hyip sites because scammers make good money out of it and hyip sites will always be there. Everyday, an hyip site runs away and a new hyip site gets launched.
1670  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: December 05, 2016, 04:16:33 PM
I  also believing that bitcoins can never ever replace fiat currency evn if bitcoin will be the worlds currency.Because fiat is owned b government and not the same as bitcoin who is owned by rich peoples. But bitcoin can be in fiat currency line but can never ever replace any fiat

It depends on the power of the ordinary people. If everybody wants to use the bitcoin, bitcoin will replace fiat.
So you mean people are going to make a group and talk about bitcoin and they going to make bitcon more powerful so that they can replace fiat? How we are going to sell our bitcoin or exhcnage our bitcoin? We can't use our bitcoin into physical thing but fiat do..

I think he was talking about mass adoption. Since almost everyone wants to use bitcoin and not fiat, then bitcoin will replace fiat. Even though it's not that likely to happen anytime soon, in the far future this might happen.

We don't need to sell our bitcoins since people would accepting bitcoins directly. For example, if you want to buy something, you have to pay 0.01BTC directly from your wallet into his wallet. No fiat is needed to get involved to buy something since everyone's using bitcoins.

Even with no physical form, bitcoin still does exist. Just like how your money in Paypal or in PerfectMoney exists. Both of them can be converted in fiat if you want to.
1671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: December 05, 2016, 04:05:25 PM
I think the best source of Bitcoin nowadays is trading because trading no scam happen . trading helps to grow my Bitcoin and gives opportunity to double or 10x your Bitcoin. Trading is simple you need to buy a coin cheap and wait to increase the price and then sell and wait to decrease again . hyip is scam that is very bad source of Bitcoin. Because the Bitcoin Of people scam in hyip. I hope it will remove that source soon so the people don't scam their bitcoin.

I don't think you really do altcoin tradings. Why? Because you said you can't get scammed in altcoin trading. The number of ICOs that turned into a scam is high. You participate in the ICO bounties, and then hold your coins for months hoping for the coin to actually grow as promised. But then after you a couple of days after the coin was launched in exchanger site, you just find out that the dev has already abandoned the project and people are just dumping their coins. The ending? The devs have earned millions while you're left there holding a scam coin that is obviously have no chance of getting revived.
1672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: December 05, 2016, 03:29:32 PM
it's all will be like the first time i've heard bitcoin. it will be back to deep web transactions payment.
bitcoin won't dead, as long as the peoples who need the anonymous transactions still alive.

If bicoin is banned many users will fall into disappointments and losses of investments like the traders of altcoins. Many of users who earns btc online will turn to failure of dreams of their lives, because many members do depend on bitcoin as source of financial needs and they don't have stable jobs at all, they just rely with bitcoin and what are hardwork for if it is banned. There should be petitions from all legit users for banning plans from government laws, it shouldn't be implemented without hearing thoughts from people. Illegal activities must be avoided in order to have bitcoin a good reputation to government.

People using bitcoins in illegal stuffs is something you can never control. People would continue to use bitcoins in illegal activities even if you do campaigns that promote using bitcoin only in a good manner. Fiat money is used in illegal stuffs too, and it seems like it has been used far more many times than bitcoins since fiat has been there for a long time now. Fiat hasn't been banned yet. Bitcoin having a good reputation might somehow affect the decision of the government but I don't think the reputation of bitcoin actually matters in the eyes of the law.

I wouldn't say that it's a "short cut" because hardcore programmers spent tons of time studying by themselves all alone in their room before they were able to code something enough to make ICOs (i.e. websites, etc.) Thinking of a new concept would surely jump your career from bottom to a much higher place but it's actually really hard to think of something new. Most of the time, you think that you just thought of something big, a concept that is big enough for you to attain success, but when you look it up online, somebody has already have thought of that long ago.
1674  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: December 05, 2016, 03:14:10 PM
I am not believe in fiat/paper money anymore becouse I know if we use fiat our economy can crash only in few day like what happen in asean at 1997.

So what are you using to buy your families grocery, for paying your utility bills and for paying everything you want to purchase. Don't tell me that you are using bitcoin for all of that because we know that there are still a lot of stores that are not yet accepting bitcoin. Because we don't have choice but to keep on believing and using fiat.

You are uninformed at best and misinformed at worst

If you order one of the numerous Bitcoin payment cards, you can use it pretty much in the same way you use fiat money. That is, to buy your groceries, pay your utility bills or purchase anything you may ever want to purchase. So I have no other option but to tell you exactly that, namely, that you do have choice whether to keep on using fiat or switch bitcoins. Though it may just not make much sense to spend your precious bitcoins on everyday expenses, but this is another story

That stands true in first world countries but in most places in third world countries, it's quite hard to use your credit card/bitcoin card/ATM card to buy stuffs. Fiat is still the one that you should use (there's no other option). I'm talking about places that do not have malls. It's usually just places in the city and in malls that accepts payment directly from your card. I've also seen people (from movies) using their smartphone + some additional device to swipe your card. I've never seen anything like that in my place, honestly.
1675  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How and where do I store my bitcoins? on: December 04, 2016, 01:49:41 PM
I always store my bitcoins in directbet's casino wallet and little amounts on blockchain. You might be wondering why ? because of two things first of all directbet has paid me over 10btcs in bets earlier and hence I trust them more than anything else. And they have a email confirmation system for every withdrawal so no issues at all of hack.
Unless if your email is the one that got hacked. He can simply use the "Forgot my password" feature to get onto your directbet account. The email confirmation system is nothing to him now since he's in control of your email. I haven't tried directbet but I do hope that they have a 2FA feature so even when your email got hacked, he still cannot withdraw your money or log in to your account. But it would be really bad for you if there's also a forgot 2FA feature on the website and then the directbet just sends an email regarding about it to your email.
1676  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: December 04, 2016, 01:41:35 PM
i got only scammed twice one is on a bitcoin doubler site and two is on a Cloud mining site but i didnt put alot on the doubler site and the cloud mining site didnt last long before i could get atleast some profit.

Why did you invest on those websites in the first place? Were you a total newbie? The so-called "legit" cloud mining sites are just mining sites that haven't ran away from the investors yet. Even when they have been running for years already, they can run away whenever they wanted. The concept of ponzi, cloud mining, and doubler sites just fascinates me. It's like they have this magical way to multiply your money in such short period of time. But behind all those illusions is the fact that they're just using the previous investors' money.
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: December 04, 2016, 01:21:38 PM
The most danger of bitcoins is that they can become useless very easily in a very short period of time .u can even take them as salary as their price tends to go up and down .so u just cant .and waking up in the morning u see that there is no existense of bitcoins at all .then u dont have anything to do .but to go depressed .
In some points, you are right. Since Bitcoin was created, there have been many other cryptocurrencies appear with many potentials. However, most of them collapse within a year without any noticed. People who put money into these junk coin apparently lose all of their capital since the price declined dramatically.

That's why ICOs are seen as the new ponzi today. They promise this and that, most especially long term goals, but then abandon it later on. It's really hard to trust and invest in ICOs nowadays that's why most users just join the bounties. They get hyped up at first and after the early investors got their profit, the price just decrease continuously. Worst case is when the dev leaves the project together with the money that they solicited and not even let the early investors earn anything.
1678  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: December 04, 2016, 12:30:35 PM
If us dollar chrashes I think all people in the world will looking for the alternative way. People will not thrust to fiat any more. I think if they didn't use  use gold as payment methode they will use bitcoin.

We can't say that for sure because fiat is so strong right now that even if USD crashes, people might just carry on with using their own local currencies. Only the people that use USD mainly will significantly be affected. And since that would surely be in the news, I think that's a good time to introduce bitcoins to people. If we do that, then people finally found the alternative money that they're looking for.
1679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: December 03, 2016, 05:44:12 AM
If the CIA was behind of everything, the hackers would never use Bitcoin as their main currency. The hackers would know all and if Bitcoin was truly owned by the CIA, the hackers would definitely attack it and burn it to ashes. They are smart people who know how to control themselves and others people's computers, as well as the whole Internet. Therefore, I can ensure with you that there is no danger while using cryptos except scammers

What difference does it make for hackers if they find out that bitcoin is owned by the CIA? As long as they're making money out of bitcoins, they will continue to use it. Fiat money is owned by the government, do criminals mind it? No. Maybe if once the CIA is doing something horrible against bitcoins, then the hackers will do something. Right now, everything's fine for them. Hackers' identities are still hidden because they use bitcoins.
1680  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you know when a site tries to scam you? on: December 03, 2016, 03:24:15 AM
Make sure there are there real people behind it - do some investigation about the team; check out their facebook pages and other social media presence - Google is your best friend.

Of course there are real people behind it. Who designed, created, and thought of making a scam site? Of course a real person and not some machine or bot. It's really easy to create thousands of fake profiles and pretend as if you're that person. You can simply grab anyone's profile nowadays. Almost everyone on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have their profiles in public. It's easy to pretend that you're that someone. So I don't think that looking for a "real" person behind a website would help at all. If it's a scam, then it's a scam regardless of who is behind that website.
