2221  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-04] Bitcoin Makes History, Reaches Gold Parity on: January 05, 2017, 04:17:36 PM
I do remember when gold was worth $642 an ounce.
Man I must be old now. Grin
I have seen it reach over $1200. But according to this site I was looking at it was over that before.
"Gold reached an all time high of 1898.25 in September of 2011 and a record low of 34.83 in January of 1970."

And they say Bitcoin is volatile! Look at those numbers for the gold price. 35$/oz in 1970, 800$/oz in 1980, 250$/oz in 2000, 1800$/oz in 2011, 1060$/oz in 2016 ...  I think it would be fair to state that Bitcoin is not more volatile than gold.
2222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling investment is zero sum on: January 05, 2017, 01:31:11 PM
Gambling investment is zero or negative sum, considering the house has to profit.

So why are you guys do bitcoin gambling as an investment instruments? OR merely just for the fun, like going to a physical casino.

I don't see gambling as an investment instruments. Reading though this forum I understood that it's a very dangerous way to regard gambling as that. I think people should take it easy and should never expect big profits from gambling. I'm trying to think of gambling as of fun time spending only.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: January 05, 2017, 01:12:15 PM
When you guys are gambling and already doubled your bankroll, do you still play with the whole money you got or you take away half of your bankroll and start playing with your profit or not?

It's a nice strategy when you withdraw your initial deposit after winning and then gamble with the rest of the money. Unfortunately it's hard for a gambler to follow. Having a bigger balance gives you more chances to win in the long run, as we gamblers think, so mostly we don't withdraw after doubling our bankroll but gamble more and more until we lose it all.

It looks like it's coming...
What do you think? Smiley
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/DOGEBTC/sdmKJbM1-DOGE-Pattern/

Well, we'll see. From the pattern it looks like it is really not so crazy to expect a 200% or even 300% rise in price in the next month or two. But it's dropping on yobit right now though. Probably needs a few days more till the next pump, we'll see.
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for a living or a living for Gambling? on: January 05, 2017, 12:26:34 PM
First of I should say that I'm new to the world of gambling. It's not more than one year since I had started to play on dice sites. I have never considered gambliong as something you can make a living from. Gambling is fun, dice especially, but not a source of income.
2226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-03] Bitcoin passes $1,000 but only number that matters is zero on: January 04, 2017, 02:34:42 PM
Calling Bitcoin a pyramid scheme is not right IMO. As they said a pyramid scheme needs a constant influx of converts to push up the price, but even if not a single new person would start using Bitcoin in the future the price of BTC wouldn't go to zero. The already existing users can sustain Bitcoin on its current level, so no way it's a pyramid scheme.
2227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: January 04, 2017, 02:00:50 PM

To avoid such scams you should invest your money only in trusted sites and those details you can find it easily from this forum if you spend some time here. Also, you shouldn't put all your money in single site but try to invest in few good sites then you're chances of making a profit from these investments will increase.

If someone wish to see the comparison of how most gambling sites is doing here in general then take alook at dicesites.com. you could see the wagered amount as well as the profit made daily and compare it with some other sites as well , so anyone could do their own research regarding which is the best sites to put their money in

But its a widely known fact that " anything that sounds too good is probably scam" so if some sites shows huge profit not always means that we should blindly invest there.

There are difference between empty words and words with statistics.  If we do our research, we can stumble on some investment sites that offers investment with high returns but does not provide us their statistics, e.g.  a trading site that offers % increase and telling people that their gain is somewhere around 50% per day but does not show the proof  of their threads.  This is more likely a scam attempt to lure people and invest to them.
While some sites will show us statistics, example, a Casino Online sites, that show wagered bets and all the statistics of who wins, how much and vice versa.  Then at the end calculating the net profit from those statistics.  If we saw a big number of earning here, we can verify it by checking the stats presented.  This is no empty words but actually a fact that whenever a person invest on that site will more likely earn certain higher percentage than other.

If I see on a site that they guarantee 50% per day profit I don't even bother to check their statistics because I know it can't be true. Having profit around 50% per year is a very good business and only a few have it, 50% per day is just a lie.
2228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: January 04, 2017, 12:42:07 PM
maybe , if the government make it and approve it . Because i think some people in the lower class cant afford this bitcoin as a future money.

"some" people can mean hundreds of millions in very poor countries, maybe billions worldwide. It's not that they can't afford to buy it, but they either don't have a phone, a PC or even if they have one of them/both, they cannot afford electricity & internet connection. Think about Venezuela - who would be able to use Bitcoin there, when they can't even afford to buy food to eat?

Probably you are right about the very poor people, but actually the usage of Bitcoin is growing in Venezuela. Having the highest inflation rate in the world many people exchange their bolivars for Bitcoins to save their capital.

Read the article below if you want more details on that.

2229  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: January 04, 2017, 12:28:34 PM
lol what happened to PD is madness. michaelol -196 btc, sin44 lost 80 btc in 2 minutes. damn

MICRO..now u have money, give us the giveaways

We have no idea how much does it take to maintain the site, so I think we can't say whether they should do more giveaways or not. Btw the total profit of sin44 is -10BTC, not - 80 BTC and there is no such user as michaelol.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your luck in 2016.? on: January 04, 2017, 12:07:56 PM
New year started and i did some calculations how much money did i won/lost last year. So, not counting money that i won on gambling sites and bust them in next few days, i lost something around 0.5BTC of my money in whole year, i would say it is acceptable lost for this kind of entertainment. What about You? How was your luck in 2016.?

It's good that to lose 0.5 BTC is acceptable for you. I wish I was that rich. Smiley If I'd lost that amount I'd be very unhappy, but fortunately I lost much less in the 2016. My total negative profit on different gambling sites is around 0.005 which I can afford but still I'd rather not lose them.
2231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: January 04, 2017, 11:57:19 AM
First of all i did not know where to post it so be free to move this topic.

I wanted to talk about the ethereum pump that was happening, i can see that its price has dropped by 25 per cent during the last 24 hours. Was it just a pump and dump? I knew that bitcoin is much stronger than it, bitcoin will be the only world currency soon...
This post is almost 10 months from now ether has big potential right now because of gambling that impose to it and those sucessful project that developers did those ico-s that linked into ethereum is perfect wait till next year before we sell our ethereum it will be pump.

none of these could save ethereum from going down so far. and it is going to continue going down.

have you forgotten that not long ago people were spamming ~$20 price and 1.5 billion dollar market cap? where are they now that ETH market cap is 0.6 billion dollar and price is ~$7 and falling fast?

Yes but we cannot able justify that may be better things happen tomorrow who knows, Why don't you think when ever bitcoin price raises definitely it will show impact on others for sure. Not only eth and etc there are many other coin are in the same situation. But definitely in 2017 there will be big pump in both of the markets.

for 2017 alone I still was not sure ETH can be increased drastically, since I analyze from his candlestick ETH is still much to be pump.

I think so. The whales are accumulating the Ethereum at the moment. They will pump very soon.

Is Pos announcement makes positive trends for ether? But glad to see the price still increase in this time.

In my speculation, if the price of ether will back again over 0.01 in the future. I just wait for the moment will be coming. Honestly, ether like a drama.

The price rose 20% already.

What price are you talking about, the price in USD or the the price in BTC? I think for any crypto the price in BTC is what matters and this price for ETH stays on the same level as it was one month ago. If you are talking about the ETH price fluctuation in the last couple of days then yes, the price has risen almost 20% but unfortunately many people start dumpimg their coins at 0.0099 so what will happen in the nearest future remains uncertain.
2232  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-01] Bitcoin Price Starts 2017 Right; Conquers $1,000 on Day One on: January 03, 2017, 06:21:14 PM
Bitcoin Price Starts 2017 Right; Conquers $1,000 on Day One

A New Year means new goals and new possibilities. Everyone should have a goal to reach for the year to come, and we hope you reach your goals in 2017. Bitcoin has its own goals, but Bitcoin tends to be ahead of the curve when it comes to what it can do, especially when it comes to the Bitcoin price. 2017 has proven no different.

http://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-price-2017-1000-day-one/

Way to go! Hope bitcoin will hit $2000 in 2017! Bitcoin is still in its early days, with more and more people getting interested in it the price will appreciate further. And since it is deflationary coin, its price will go up even with inflation.

I really wish Bitcoin hit $2,000 in 2017, but honestly I have doubts this could happen. IMO if BTC will reach $1,500 in this year and will not drop 50% after that, this year could be called a great year for Bitcoin. We don't need big jumps and falls, what we need is stable and gradual rising.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games Are So Much Fun on: January 03, 2017, 06:02:59 PM
Yeah like you're thinking that all of this site are all cheater or scammers because of all your bet are consecutive loss.

Dice Games are so much fun and exciting also about losing all your bitcoins. HAHA
Some sites may be rigged or manipulate the dice results but most of the bitcoin casino give a way to verify all of their results so while playing in these types of probably fair casino, only luck may decide whether you will win or loss.

Dice games are quite addicting game so yes if you expect to win big with them then you can loss all of your bitcoins in end.  Wink

I agree, one should never expect to win big with any gambling, dice included. But I don't think that if you are having many consecutive losses the site owners should be called cheaters or scammers. If you play on a provably fair site you should check every bet if you have doubts before starting accusing the owners.
2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: zcash soon 0.2 btc! on: January 03, 2017, 05:20:57 PM
~~
i am sure that the difficulties of zec will be increase as there are many starter miners see that mining zec is an opportunity to them and they can get much of zec right now. but its depend on how much hashrate we have to get much of zec, beside that i hope that zec could be increase too.

Yes, but the higher the hashrate you want to have the higher price you should pay for the miners. Idk, I still think that to mine Bitcoins is more profitable because:

1. The price of BTC is more than 20 times higher than the price of ZEC.

2. ZEC is new and unstable, so the price of it might drop even more in the near future.
2235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Istanbul attack: Dozens killed at Turkish nightclub on: January 03, 2017, 05:03:26 PM
Istanbul (CNN)At least 39 people were killed and at least 69 wounded in an attack in a nightclub early Sunday as they were celebrating the new year, Turkey's Interior Minister said.

CNN for more  : http://edition.cnn.com/2016/12/31/europe/turkey-nightclub-attack/index.html

That's horrible. How could they kill innocent people, not soldiers, not politics, but innocent citizens who just wanted to celebrate a New Year's eve in a nightclub? I can't get it. Isn't any war about killing the army of your enemy and not the civilians?
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamling with a high risk and high rewards or low risk and low rewards? on: January 03, 2017, 04:16:55 PM
If you are a gambler and have 2 option :
1. Put your money in high risk game with high rewards.
2. Put your money in low risk game with low rewards.
Then which one you choose?

I chose low rewards. Thus you can gamble longer before you bust. Gambling is fun so I like it to be longer. Putting your money in high risk game has no sense if you are not going to make money with gambling which IMO is reasonable.

I will choose the low risk low reward too. Even if I had a chance to put high bet and win, I am sure I will come back to gamble again. And I do believe that one day I will lose all my money if I use the high risk high reward method very often. With the low risk low reward method, even we lose we can cover it by doing other stuffs that can be found here in this forum.
are we here talking about how your gambling style?
people will choose to bet low amount at low risk at first time they gamble .
but once they got a lot of experience they will simply prefer to gamble allin to get big return rather than wasting time.

How can we be sure that "all in" will give you a big return even if you are an experienced gambler? I don't think it is so simple. Also I've heard much more about gambling addicts who constantly lose everything than about experienced gamblers who win and make their living from gambling.

I think my gambling looks like "wasting time" from outside but at least I'm not losing money of my family with it.
2237  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-03]New Year – New Thousand on: January 03, 2017, 04:07:22 PM
The First day of 2017 has brought a gift for all cryptocurrency supporters. The Bitcoin course for the second time in history has risen above $ 1,000. In December taking this milestone was the subject of debates and forecasts – there is too much at stake.

At 21:40, the $ 1000 level was taken on Bitfinex, and in two hours - on Bitstamp. Most indexes that summarize the price of Bitcoin, confirmed this point has been passed, despite the fact that some exchanges are still far from it (for example, BTC-e - $ 965 ..https://bit.news/eng/new-year-new-thousand/

That's a great news for all bitcoiners and a nice New Year present. Although at the time of publication some exchanges were "still far from it" like they said, now it is becoming more and more obvious htat Bitcoin has crossed the $1,000 line. Let's hope it will stay above $1,000 from now on.
2238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: January 03, 2017, 02:18:09 PM
My vote went to "Others" and as I can see more than 30% here voted same. It's interesting to see that so many people have chosen "Trading". Now I'm wondering do they really make money with trading or do they just think that trading is the best source of Bitcoin?

It's so cool, too bad its a pyramid scheme...

It is interesting. It may not be a pyramid scheme, since those who tip/donate do not have expectations of receiving returns or money.

I agree. No one is promissing to grow your money, to double them or anything like that. The project is supported by donations and they are not investments. Although it still could be a swindling it is definitely not a pyramid scheme.
