2241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: October 02, 2019, 02:11:18 AM
Don't know how to put this but I'll try. So lets say your fav club is about playing against a tougher club which on paper they're far better than your club but in your inner most mind you want your club to win therefore, when it comes to placing a bet, which club will you go far. Will you risk losing the bet to back your team winning that match, when you know the chances of them succeeding are almost impossible but since it's football anything is possible or will you bet against you club winning that match but while the match is ongoing you'll be routing for your club to win (in other words routing for yourself to lose your bet)?

How do you balance the emotion of wanting your club to win but not ready to lose your bet in the toughest of games.

Yes. I do it for my favorite team. I'm not making or losing a fortune with sports betting so I bet the way I want.
Though betting on the opposing team of your favorite team is also a good strategy to keep you happy. i.e. if you win the bet, you'll have money even though your favorite team loses. And if your favorite team wins, you'll be happy even if you lose your money. But mostly, I think my favorite team are always capable to win against any teams.
2242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt disappointment on: October 02, 2019, 01:26:09 AM
How many of you guys feel disappointed about how bakkt did nothing to crypto market price but shrink it down to where it is today? i am one of those who think bakkt will have huge impact on crypto market since 2018 so here we are today and things went sideways

Crypto prices are highly influenced by small things. Bakkt itself is not a huge issue and they won't have a long lasting effect on crypto. They are the pioneer of new ideas. We should promote all of these ideas to know what suits better. Though last drop was linked to Bakkt, the market rapidly corrected itself and is now back on track. Bakkt is here and we are ready for more of those experiments.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What opportunities Cryptocurrencies have created since it becomes very popular on: October 02, 2019, 12:38:57 AM
We're talking about jobs, livelihood and fulfilled dreams What opportunities Cryptocurrencies have created since it becomes very popular
in my case, it changes my life I made a job out of Cryptocurrency by just giving my opinion and doing stuff from other people, so how about you.

Cryptocurrency has basically destroyed the concept of middlemen. It has streamlined the process and made direct contact between the customers and producers.
It has made the users also the owners.
Crypto has enabled a openly auditable and unhackable platform. Though there were so many loop holes, it were patched and as it's transparent, there's nothing a person can influence.
2244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Libra Coin bring Down Bitcoin's dominance on: October 01, 2019, 04:23:01 PM
The chief of Libra himself have cleared that Libra is not a competitor to bitcoin. They both are in a different league. Libra is a stablecoin and could be a competitor for the likes of Tether and Paxos and DAI. Libra if success could add up a large number of new crypto user boosting the knowledge and adoption of bitcoin and other alts as well. And hence having a positive effect on bitcoin and alts and their prices.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sudden drop in BTC? on: October 01, 2019, 01:07:09 PM
Rapid changes over 20% are common for crypto markets. Bitcoin and other cryptos have always been very much unpredictable.
The bitcoin was stable around 10K for some time and the rapid 20% fall made many of the investors panic but what we shouldn't forget is the first two quater average of bitcoin was much lower than 8K and it was a long pending correction. I'd call any price below 8K a call for bitcoin at the moment.
2246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which betting type gives you the most payout? on: October 01, 2019, 05:00:00 AM
Parlay is much better than betting on multiple low odd games. I generally combine the lower odds below 1.5 to create a parlay. But it's still on the risky side when you combine more than 3 bets. Money line are easier to understand and calculate. Specially when you are doing a martingale in sports betting.
2247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: October 01, 2019, 03:50:04 AM
I would say Gambling is dirty money based on certain religious teachings. however, it cannot be disguised by everyone. gambling in various countries becomes a legal thing and this is the right of individual privacy to find income. for gamblers, don't be overly responded if it says the money you have is dirty money because everyone also has the right to say something according to their argument.

I guess people who gamble knows that gambling is dirty money, but because they are curious about the game, they tried to play for once. Later, they find that the games were very attractive, so they decide to play another game. And in the end, they playing gambling in almost every day and many of them become addicted to gambling.

Yes, we need to know that every people will have different views on gambling. And some of us will say that gambling is one activity that requires money to play, and that is dirty money. If we still want to play gambling, you can do that but only with caution because betting can make you addicted and you will lose your money.
If all gambling players really think that way there should be no offense about "dirty money" embedded in them. gambling makes our psychology believe that we will always win, even though many consequences are obtained if we are not ready and without preparation. Gambling needs money, there are gamblers who when they run out of money as capital they choose to borrow from other people, banks or others. in my opinion, this is a very wrong thing. when borrowing money and what happens is that it can't return it, this is where bad things start as a gambler.

The thing that you said is just for a person with wrong schooling and lack of self control. There are several types of people in the world and the same thing might not be applicable for all of them. Even alcohol is considered a good or bad according to the people and situation of it's use.
For anyone who is spending his/her self earned money to have some entertainment, there's nothing wrong on gambling. There are much worse things people may do to spend their spare time and have some fun.
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With an Actual Working Product on: October 01, 2019, 03:33:00 AM
There are many exchanges and token and dapps platforms to start with. And there are an increasing number of blockchain based social networks and blogging sites.
But if you want a product, Sia has a working decentralized cloud storage service, you can download and use their client at the moment.
Gladius is a decentralized service that protects the sites from DDOS, you can buy their service or lend you bandwidth for money at the moment.
2249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if someone send faucet to real address on: October 01, 2019, 03:18:06 AM
If you are talking about litecoin testnet and faucet as such, https://faucet.xblau.com/
Testnet Litecoin and Litecoin are completely different chain and the Testnet Litecoin has no comparable value to Litecoin.
Testnet coins are generally used to test different aspects of the blockchain and distributed without any value.
There are also faucets that distributes the main chain coins but they do it in a tiny amount. You can accumulate and trade them for a value.
2250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance delisting trading pairs on: September 30, 2019, 03:41:51 PM
Here we go again, binance exchange decided to delist 30 different types of trading pairs on its platform and six of those trading pairs involve tokens launched on Binance Launchpad Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) platform, namely BitTorrent, Elrond, Harmony and WINk.
The trading pairs are mostly TUSD and USDC pairs and Binance claimed that the pairs were being removed to improve liquidity and user trading experience and that the choice of trading pairs was as requested by most project teams.

Why would the project teams want such? what am i missing here? anyone?
Read the full news through the link below
https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-delists-trading-pairs-some-include-tokens-from-its-launchpad/amp

Binance is becoming too crowded from all these stablecoin pairs. They should focus on just a few stablecoin pair while make other stablecoin tradeable with the reference stablecoins. I think this move is an start to implement that. If BitTorrent is tradable with 5 other USD fixed stablecoin, it's not necessary to pair it with two more.
2251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [news] Binance Launches Staking Platform with Support for 8 Cryptocurrencies on: September 30, 2019, 03:06:39 PM
Staking is a good way to earn while you hold. The complexity and large amount required to hold for staking specific coins are keeping people away or not staking their stakable coins. Binance's staking pool would enable many users to get passive income for their holdings.

This is a very attracting offer and as far as I know they are offering very good interest rates. But my question is why would they just give out money for free, especially something insane like 15 percent in BTC for a month.

They are not providing 15% BTC for a month. Their lending platform currently provides 3% a year on BTC holdings. Staking is a different thing from lending.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 27, 2019, 03:19:56 PM
Terrorist may not attack Srilanka but there's rain to attack the match, toss being delayed due to rain. That sucks, after 10 years, Pakistanis were going to take the taste of playing in home, so does visitors but rain has problem with that.
Let's see who win at the end, Srilanka or Pakistan or rain?
Its really interesting we are playing against Sri Lanka after 10 years and its most heavy rain in last 10 years so lets see what happen we already have 2019 as most worst year for cricket just because of rain may be today again rain won and we have only two ODI's for this series.

It's really a nice gesture from the Sri Lankan team to come back to finish that ever pending series. Hope Pakistan and Pakistani players would again be able to host and participate in cricket without any political restrictions.
This game is just postponed and we also have T20s to see some actions. And the weather predictions are good for the next week.
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will There Comes A Time That All Online Gambling Sites Are CryptoCurrency Based? on: September 25, 2019, 11:11:47 PM
Anonymity and popularity of Cryptocurrency are two of it's the best attraction.
And Cryptocurrency games are more transparent.
Will, there comes a time that all online gambling sites will be Cryptocurrency based?

We could see a majority of gambling sites accepting crypto. But for gambling site to completely ditch fiat, the world should do it first.
Crypto is still in it's early stage and developing. We don't know it's actual potential yet. Maybe we could have something different from what we call crypto or what we call fiat that could be the defacto money in the future. For current time, crypto gambling are getting more and more popular.
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Athletics crypto betting on: September 25, 2019, 11:08:21 PM
2019 World Athletics Championships starts on Friday what made me thinking of the possibility to bet on this sport at one of the crypto betting platforms.

Do you know which site supports the athletics?

How to bet on this sport after all? What strategies are the best? Does it make sense to bet on the events with dozens of participants?

Is it by and large popular on any of the markets?

If I'm not mistaken, most of the platforms don't have IAAF World Championship in its offer. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sportsbet is a popular crypto based gambling sites that offers a wide range of sports for betting.
I'm used to betting on horse racing and believe human racing and athletics are much easier form of betting. If you are confused with two participants, generally you can bet on both of them and yield a profit if any of them win as the odds are generally larger than other sports.

2256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Dev not shit coin on: September 15, 2019, 01:48:57 AM
A lot of alarm has been raised on shit coins which have become a concern to many in the crypto sphere, but i feel our attention should be on the shit developer rather talk about the shit coins. The reason why we have shit coins all over is because the number of shit developers has increased to the maximum, i guess it is time to begin to publish the names of shit developers on the forum in order to do some justice to the crypto sphere.

There comes the difficulty. Crypto could be anonymous and most developers prefer not to reveal their identity and most of the scam exchanges uses a fake identity, pictures from the internet and random names. It's actually really easy to identify most scams. If you do that along with ditching the coins with anonymous team and listing the team members and advisers of scams and blacklisting them would prevent us from getting easily scammed.
2257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My simulations for testing Martingale strategy on: September 15, 2019, 01:24:14 AM
Whatever you do, you are going to lose it eventually. So, make a plan with a budget. Don't lose more than you could afford and turn your profit into something visible for you to have satisfaction even if you lose more. And all along have fun and enjoy. The ones who get a taste of it would come back regularly. It's all about fun, if you are being stressed, leave. Remember money is not everything, it comes and goes. It's your health and fitness that's important.
2258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 on: September 14, 2019, 04:26:10 PM
A well done thread. The Olympic is coming near and the world is ever divided on ideas and acts. Hope this Olympic like most others would build a platform to bring the world together keeping aside our political differences and be a true sports with genuine sportsmanship.
2259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 10, 2019, 03:29:13 PM
Most of the things you do for money are gambling in one sense or other. Every business you do have risks involved. Generally higher the risks, higher is your potential profit. Things like insurance decreases the risks you take but also decreases your overall profit.
Illegal money is dirty money. Wining on gambling is a fair way to earn your money.
2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last 3 Months of 2019! What is your prediction about the Market? on: September 10, 2019, 03:26:01 PM
Last three months of the Year 2019 (4th quarter)is fast approaching! Do you think the market condition will be improve in the last three months of the year! are you still positive that the market will be gaining momentum to return its former status as it was before or just missing all the prediction in this year. drop your insight below!

4th quarter is generally not considered to be a good time for crypto. To be specific, the last two months of 4th quarter. It's the time for travelling, festivals and home-going around the world. The prices decreases starting October and keeps on being low till early to mid February. And it seem to recover after the Chinese new year.
