I snooze, I lose. If anyone falls through on payment, would love to buy out two units.

2242  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 03, 2013, 10:46:06 PM

Are you implying that you are looking to purchase all these units in an effort to be an EBay profiteer  ?
2243  Economy / Auctions / Re: The 3rd Round Auction for the AntMiner S1 Dual Blades, 120 units, 24 hours on: December 03, 2013, 10:02:03 PM
I'm thinking Auctions should start moving to a system that newbies need to sign a message from an account that contains sufficient funds to participate.
2244  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS / USA only] 2 x old style ASICMiner Erupter Blades on: December 03, 2013, 06:03:39 PM
Looking to sell two of my overclockable Erupter blades that have been faithfully hashing away for a while.

1 BTC (OBO...) gets the pair including the molex power connectors and shipping to anywhere in the continental USA.

Apologies for the bother, but is it possible to get tracking numbers for the packages ?
2247  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: December 03, 2013, 04:54:11 PM
Funny to hear that from the guy that got his order cancelled just for ad hominem attacks, that also burned his "case" against BFL.

Need I remind you about the way a certain COO was conducting himself on these forums, trolling it's users during their deluge of mistakes and delays, that elicited such anger and rage from this community ? "Reality doesn't care about you ? Neither do I", "Put on your big-boy pants", etc etc ? I mean, which respectable company officer carries on this way ?!

Had he acted with more professionalism and respect towards us - behavior we would genuinely appreciate from a company Chief Operating Officer - it's entirely conceivable I would have been a happy customer of Butterfly Labs today.

I learned a few lessons from my experience, for what it's worth.

 - Don't ever deal with Butterfly Labs again
 - Don't ever wrestle with pigs in mud
 - Never trust pre-order schemes in Bitcoin space
 - Don't throw good money after bad

What's highly amusing in retrospect, however, is that I was forced a refund that I didn't want, and then months later, people were begging for refunds, and being refused.

While I appreciate your attempts at wit and riposte, please try not to discount the history that brought us to where we are today.

Yes I responded poorly to Zerlan's baiting and trolling. Again, it never should have reached that point to begin with.

I don't think you recognize or appreciate that.

The bickfailsky story continues, now with a post showing......nothing?HuhHuhHuh

Do you have the ability to make a point without resorting to childish ad homonym attacks ?
2250  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL appears to actually be shipping Singles from stock on: December 03, 2013, 08:09:22 AM
ASICMiner Cube - 30GH/s @ BTC1.99 WTCR price @ Bitstamp price $1024 = $2037

These can be had for 1 BTC in group buys, which works out to ~$34.13 per GH/s
2251  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S1 Setup on: December 03, 2013, 07:19:10 AM
Nice work on the guide.
Thanks. I expected to be more trouble shooting points but so far there literally isn't anything

I've had a hell of a time trying to get it working over wireless after plugging in a big-ass antenna Sad Futzed around for an hour or so and gave up for fear of screwing up the network settings, and went back to Ethernet.

Will try mucking around some more when my next units come in. Woop !!!
2252  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: December 03, 2013, 06:53:25 AM
Did you glance inside to make sure the fan was plugged in? If stuff shifted around a lot, or people didn't care during assembly, the fan could be unplugged. These guys turn themselves off if they don't detect a fan spinning after a few seconds.
Might be worth undoing a few screws to check, or just looking inside it with a flashlight through the fan.

Already tried that Sad Disassembled the unit, took out the boards, verified fan was plugged in, tested with another fan, took out all the hashing boards and tried to get just the main board to just come up. Nada.

Another unit arrived with obvious loose parts and screws fell out when I opened the case. Seems two screws fell off the heatsinks and was causing it to rattle around. Screwed the heatsink back on, reassembled that one particular unit, and it came up just fine.

All in all, though, I have to say I'm pretty darned impressed with these units.

2253  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: December 03, 2013, 05:28:59 AM
Greetings friedcat. I received a few cube units as part of canarys group buy, and one of the units is defective.

The green power light comes on, no activity on the fan, and no Ethernet connectivity.

How can we RMA the non functional devices ?
2254  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup Guide] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 03, 2013, 12:58:08 AM
Has anyone tried connecting with OSX instead of windows? Do I still have to change network settings and such?

You still need to reconfigure your computer's ethernet port to match the range of the Antminer unit for the initial config.

I initially configured my Antminer unit using a Macbook Pro FWIW.
2255  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL appears to actually be shipping Singles from stock on: December 03, 2013, 12:22:23 AM
If true, this would make BFL the only current ASIC vendor instantly fulfilling new orders from stock.  Oh the irony!
Bitmain

Ordered two more units from these guys. Already have one happily hashing away solid @ 180GH/s.

Near triple the hash-rate, and ~half the price at present BTC/USD valuation compared to 2 x 50GH/s BFL Singles - Speaking to value.
2256  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: December 03, 2013, 12:14:12 AM

60GHs worth of Bitfury stuff I'm troubleshooting. Haven't played with Lego in quite a while. The cards fit perfectly between the grooves of the green Lego base plate.
2257  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do you disconnect the monitor from the rig? on: December 03, 2013, 12:10:47 AM
Is there any special thing I need to know for this?

Disconnect monitor. Acquire TightVNC. Dummy plugs are no longer required.

So anyone is getting any communication from BA?
I haven't even gotten an invoice for my 2nd order.

Was looking to place an order for 2 x 2 TH February units later today... Hrmph...
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 02, 2013, 06:39:45 PM
I must have missed something.....   Can someone direct me to where it was stated that the Neptune deliveries would be separated in "Batches"?  Just because there was an order gap, and price difference between Noobs & old customers, means nothing towards delivery time as far as I see...   I cannot find anything to support that theory.
not batches per say, but on the site it does state the 13k price orders will come 3-4 weeks after first "batch" orders.

All the more reason for new customers of KNC not to purchase this item at $13k.
2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 02, 2013, 04:18:58 PM
Unfortunately, going to need to add KNC to a list of companies I won't be dealing with after seeing this price gouging and ordering shenanigans for this next gen. (Excuse me ? You honestly wanted me to order your products through resellers that I have even less trust in than you ?!?)

Congrats to everyone that got in on this at $10k.

Newbies pay $13k ? Yeah, sorry Sam. Will be dealing with your competitors instead on principle. Life is too short to deal with that sort of nonsense.

Its not just Newbies, thats the price for previous customers as well.

Are you completely discounting the events of last week where previous customers were able to order these for $10k ?
