2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 30, 2022, 08:36:46 PM
On a second thought the gambler was able to beat his gambling addiction but, he failed at foregoing his addiction for greed. The company must have sent same promotional mail to every other member of the Casino. The gambler out of greed exhausted the $50 offer and yet was not satisfied by it. However, the casino tricked him using a $50 bait to lure him back into the gambling world knowing pretty well that he is greedy.

I think he was not completely able to beat his addiction as we saw that it lasted until he had an offer in his email to play for free a little amount as a gift from the casino website. If he was truly convinced to leave gambling once and for all he should have also unsubscribed from all the casinos and their marketing emails. When I see my email it is full of such offers (not free money) but marketing emails from the casinos I play the most at.If I want to quit gambling for good,I unsubscribe from all these marketing emails from the gambling companies.
I also think so. Although he really wants to stop gambling and fight his addiction, but knowing he still grab the chance of free money to gamble again and prolong his addiction, then that proves that he himself is still the one who should be mostly blamed. Casinos do always send us convincing invitations but deciding it to take or not is already on the gambler itself. I can see that this gambler has not completely beaten his addiction as he can still be easily lured just with all those tempting acts from the casino.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PROS AND CONS OF CRRYPTOGAMBLING. on: May 30, 2022, 07:56:43 PM
In many countries where gambling is a taboo - and people do not gamble because its not legal and its considered as a sin.
The people there can do online gambling and satisfy themselves. However - those people have a thought behind their mind if they are doing the right thing or not.

Gambling can be subjective. Those countries where gambling is a taboo has a very simple definition of gambling. Don't they realize that in real life we also gamble or take risks? Gambling is a form of entertainment, it only becomes a sin because most people get addicted to it with the mindset of it can make them rich in short amount of time, which only happens to very few people that are lucky. Gambling is a business to entertain people, they did not promise some returns.
Despite of illegalities of gambling in some countries, i believe gamblers do not settle on that and won't gamble at all. They will always have the time to gamble, it's just that they should be extra careful not to be caught by the government officials. Maybe that's how they see it as a sin, contradicting the laws of the government. But in real life, people somehow need to gamble too because its just a form of entertainment but in a business way. And you need funds for you to be able to gamble, whether you win or lose in the end.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 30, 2022, 03:16:32 PM
The warriors have already advanced to the NBA Finals. They are now in waiting mode for the winner of the Celtics vs Heat series.

Not sure if they will still be listed as the favorite if the Celtics win tomorrow, but regardless, I believe the Warriors will win.
What I like about the Warriors is they are hungry for this win, they have been here many times before, so now they will try to win again.
Warriors will be the ultimate favorite i guess and Celtics will be the underdog, but expect that everything will change in the finals and that in some cases, the favorite will turn into the underdog at the end of the game. But since i am rooting for Warriors as i'm a big fan of it, so hopefully this will not happen to Warriors end up as underdog. Warriors fought hard just to go this far, and in fairness to Celtics they did a good fight too. So may the best team wins as the finals is already fast approaching.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 30, 2022, 09:00:13 AM
Great game 7 between the Celtics and Heat. I was a little worried at the end there but the Celtics came through. A great game by Jimmy Butler, but he was one shot away from being a hero at the end when he missed that three. Still, the Heat had a great season they can be proud of. Now we’re set for the Finals between the Warriors and the Celtics.
Still kudos to Jimmy Butler, as his team won't go this far without his brilliant performance and that made this season something memorable and something that they can be proud of. Now, Celtics are off to the finals which will give them a big break if they can beat the battle tested Warriors. These two teams deserve a good fight, so i just hope that there will be no serious injuries that's going to happen in the finals. But expect that there will be unexpected twists that will surprise everyone.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 30, 2022, 08:41:16 AM
Celtics is the Eastern Conference Champion!
The last 3 point attempt by Butler is very crucial, he should not shot that in a hurry or at least go for the 2 points shot so they can tied with Celtics at score of 98 and go for OT, that was a very costly mistake for him and a shot to remember. Congrats for Celtics after years of being out in the finals now they came back stronger.  Smiley

Agree on this. They are craving to take the lead even before that crucial shot that make them loss so much field goal attempt. The last mistake of Butler shows how he is too confident to himself that he didn't wait for his teammate to be on position if he really wants that shot. He should atleast drive inside and get a potential 3 point play by getting foul counted since the only defender that time is Horford which is easy for him to get an easy foul due to AL size.

Still good thing that Boston so that GSW will finally get a good fight that they deserve. I'm hoping for a game 7 on this upcoming NBA finals.
The Finals matchup has been set, and everyone gets excited whoever wins this NBA title. Celtics vs Warriors for the NBA title, not only a battle of their respective coaches but definitely its for the best team to win, and all team members must have prepared their defense and shooting skills for that. Both Celtics and Warriors are tough so expect that this will be another memorable game that  will amaze everyone, so good luck for both of the team.
2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 29, 2022, 11:44:17 PM
That's what happens to gamblers because not all gamblers can open up and tell other people because, in some countries, gambling is considered nothing and will instead be given a negative impression.
So for those gamblers, keep their stories about gambling and don't share them with others.
It will be even more difficult if the gamblers are addicted because no one will know.

No matter where do we live, we should start to share our experience once gambling is started to be a "problem" in our life. If we keep it ourselves as a secret and no one knows, it is possible that it will become a bigger problem. If we share it to our close-friends or family, we may hear some opinions and hopefully to get a better solution to get rid of the problem.
The problem in gambling is not really that gambling alone, but the addiction that will mostly develop afterwards and ruin everything. And once the gambler starts to see it from himself, then he should not keep it and find solutions alone. While some friends cannot help, but there is family that is always ready to help and guide his gambling addiction. I just hope OP has learned his lesson now, and will find gambling more entertaining than being addictive. That is why gambling needs not a huge amount, but an amount you can only afford to lose but still give you self satisfaction.
2267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 29, 2022, 10:24:46 PM
Can an old casino that's very active here in Bitcointalk, through support, forum advertising, and signature campaign, suddenly pull the plug and stop doing all these things can still keep and still maintain its position in the market.

A case study is Bitvest and 777Coin we know that Lightlord was sick and now he is well and comes back from time to time but not doing the same thing they're doing for many years.

I think its not all the time that a certain casino should necessarily hire Bitcointalk for its position in the market. They cannot maximize their profits if that's the case since a part of it will still go to Bitcointalk. Over time, i guess a good casino will already gain the heart of the players and that is the most important. That they feel the sincerity of the casino and that its good customer service makes them keep coming back and forth. However, on the side of the casino, they should still learn to adopt those new games so they can keep their customers not to go to other casinos to play.
2268  Economy / Economics / Re: A decision to make on: May 28, 2022, 11:58:32 PM
Would you rather buy a house to live in or rent an apartment to invest in bitcoin  Since bitcoin is experiencing bear what decision will you take make use of the season or let it pass.
It's okay to buy a house if you will use it as a business like a rental apartment, you'll be sure there's no losses here. However, if you only plan to buy a house for you to have a property of your own, that will unlikely give profits to you. Once the building turns old, you will again spend huge amount for repair and renovation. But if you invest your money now into bitcoin, it may bring huge profits in the long run and you will be able already to buy a house without compromising the money for your investments.
2269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 28, 2022, 11:41:50 PM
Hello 👋
Okay, presently I want to ask why the sudden panicking around the media and forum here.
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?
The best time to buy bitcoin is when you see its price continues to drop because not only you can save more funds but also you can accumulate more bitcoin that will bring good profits into your wallet when its price starts to surge high. Although you can't make sure if you did bought bitcoin at its cheapest price but if you use DCA, you will always take advantage of every price drop.
2270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you following very basic crypto rules? on: May 28, 2022, 11:16:18 PM
The current hot topic is Luna. It's very sad that a lot of investors bagger due to Luna drama. The more sad thing is some people committed to suicide. Even in my country, it has happened. I will say think kind of situation occurs due to not following two very basic crypto rules. I know everyone knows these rules, but want to share again and remind you what would happen if you don't follow these rules.

1. Don't invest in crypto if you can't afford the loss.
2. Don't put your eggs in one basket.

It's pretty simple rules, I don't think here needs any detailed explanation at all. We should invest only what we can afford the loss. And shouldn't invest in one coin all of your savings. When you invest multiple coins that won't scam you at the same time. So follow the very basic crypto rules and don't commit suicide.
Not only that you will invest in multiple coins but in different investments as well like stocks, bonds, real estate and even in gold. That way, if you lose in crypto, you will never experience such huge loss as you still have chances to make profits from your other investments. And yes, invest only on the amount you can manage to lose, although you can spend some of your life's savings but take only a portion of it and leave the rest for your other needs as well.
2271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wise Sayings That Are Applicable To Cryptocurrency on: May 28, 2022, 10:49:46 PM
Expectation is a big word. Although we had some expetience on trading or knew what to do its not always go to our expctation or should I say a win win for us. Even professional traders who are well knew how its operate got fucked some time but thats fine cause its really not a perfect parameter to win a trading but onky just a guide. Same goes for investment.
No need to set high expectations even if you are an expert or a newbie in investing or trading. Because we all know that we are dealing with such an unpredictable market, so no one can predict correctly what will be the future outcome. Although we aim big out from trading or investing in crypto, but we should not expect too much from them as they can go into opposite direction and leave us frustrated.
2272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: May 28, 2022, 10:22:52 PM
I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
Bitcoin dropped all the way from $69K, and you decide to sell it off at any price between $29K to $8K just because some speculator talked about it dropping $8K?

That's very poo investment approach IMO. If one was to sell, it should have been at around 60K-50K
Right. You should only sell when the price is high and definitely buy when the price is low. So if bitcoin falls to $8k, and you still plan to sell, that's a big loss for you. You only have to sell for profits, and not the other way around. However, if you have shitcoins that you have been hodling for a lot of years and until now, no signs of growing its value, then its a good time to sell them so that you can take advantage and buy bitcoin while its still very low in price.
2273  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: May 28, 2022, 10:02:43 PM
Get Money - Save money - Invest money.
Follow the cycle and don't stop half way.
I agree in this strategy. First is to get money through working hard, having a job can ensure that you'll get an stable income and much better if you also have an extra job to maximize the money that you can earn and save.

But its necessary that you know how to manage your money for the monthy budget, the amount to save and the amount that you'll invest. It doesnt mean we have to spend all our savings to invest, because its also hard to have no cash on hand in case of emergency.

Gaining through our investment takes time hence the money that you'll put on it must be the money that you can live without.
Just save for your life savings and for your life's investments and manage them well. That way, you will never be in trouble if you invest the funds intended for investments because even if you lose, you won't get rekt since you never spend those funds intended for your savings only. And what is important is that regardless of the amount you invest, you always invest in the right projects or investments because that is your goal, invest and grow your money.
2274  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest everything looking bearish on: May 27, 2022, 11:33:49 PM
Just buy those companies that are focused on the production of food in the stock market. That's all you need and I know that you know the answer to your question.
Just look how good bitcoin is, despite the bear market and many are expecting it to go down as low as $11k yet it is standing still on the $28kish to $30kish level.
I guess that will answer OP's question as he always want to invest that goes along with food's prices increase. If you can franchise a food company, you will meet the profits that you are looking for, but it also depends on what kinds of foods that you are going to market. But anyway, bitcoin right now is giving us the best opportunity to invest too. There are also huge profits in bitcoin waiting ahead if you become responsible on how to grow bitcoin in your wallet.
2275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart decision I made toward the end of the bull run on: May 27, 2022, 10:50:18 PM
I converted all all my altcoins to btc and eth and solona and stop listen to youtubers.
The youtubers can ruin your life. make your own decision and you will be fine.
This is relevant for me.
True. You'll never find true success if you keep on relying your decisions from them. Remember, it's your money, your investments, so you need to control all of them with your own will, and not that others will control you. Youtubers do not make you earn, but they find a living from you if you always submit to their decisions.
2276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investing is in crypto do not be deceived by hype or publicity on: May 27, 2022, 09:38:23 PM
Take time to learn & enquire knowledge about different cryptocurrencies offered, make a research on blockchain technology,There are many primers on blockchain technology that are written and broken down for easy understanding for  beginners and everyone's guild
There's no way you can understand each projects on their technical aspects very easy, those articles written to make the readers to understand are mostly missing many stuffs that need to be explained and they only give you generic explanation. Are you really sure you can learn, made research and understand of all coins listed on CMC? personally I doubt it. Honestly I have spend a lot times to understand Bitcoin, after around a year, I still don't understand it all. This mean learn and understand a single project will take you so many times to spent.
That's the reality when it comes to crypto investing. No matter how hard you study all those stuffs, it won't guarantee that you will never end in a scam projects or you will make profits out from investing those projects. The reason why even a legend in this crypto forum still lose from his investment. However, making good research and studies prior to investing will help you to avoid investing in shitcoins, but that won't still give you guarantees that you will never lose from this crypto investment.
2277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mentor experience in crypto trading. on: May 27, 2022, 09:04:34 PM
When did Satoshi guide a proper trading for you? lol, AFAIK Satoshi never post any trading stuffs, he was talking about realistic about his speculations about Bitcoin. I doubt there's a legit mentor will guide you about how trade Bitcoin since no one can control it, it's different if your mentor tell you to trade shitcoin. He might a shills or the CEO, that's why he ask you to buy shitcoins.
Whoever your mentor is, i must say that he is certainly an expert trader that knows when to lose and not to lose. Which i think is very odd when it comes to crypto trading because we all know how unpredictable it is, but still you manage to escape from losses. It's more on you are acting not a real trader or, lol. However, i don't experience that mentoring or got to be mentored even before as i mostly learn all by myself, but i think those you called mentors these days are not anymore reliable, that they love your money more than anything else.
2278  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if BTC's price falls to $8,000? on: May 27, 2022, 07:47:58 PM
One expert says that if economies don't hold up amid these hikes, Bitcoin's price might plunge further to about 70% of its current price, which is around $8000.

An expert with a crystal ball? 🔮

What I can tell is that people will be afraid. Most people will be afraid to buy more, and they will wait prices get back to 50k to buy again.

In a bear market like this fear is everywhere. Every news is bad news.
This is when we should be brave.

When everyone else is in panic and fear, then let's all become greedy just this once. No one gets to take advantage of the bear market when all is feeling hopeless and losing, so let's not stay that way. Instead, let's buy more bitcoin as there is still a big opportunity in front of us. When bitcoin price drops down to $8k, i think that will be the best time to buy. Regardless of how people will perceive it, as for me i will never keep my eyes out of sight from bitcoin.
2279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: An advice for Crypto Investing on: May 26, 2022, 11:38:17 PM
Before each investment, one should be well informed about the market, make a detailed analysis, and only then start investing.
There should be a clear strategy and investment plan and a clear exit strategy.
One should beware of the euphoria of the media and other, inexperienced investors, keep their emotions under control and make rational decisions.
The crypto market has actually become very similar to classic markets and stock exchanges, and the rules are the same.
It is not realistic, nor should anyone expect it to be enriched here over night.
It takes a lot of patience and time for a concrete result.
Of course, investing is not just all about the money but prior to that, there should be a good preparation. Being aware and be educated about the investment, its advantages and disadvantages, its best entry and exit plans, and of course, its long term vision that will guide a trader as to what, where and when to invest. If there is enough funds to invest, then make sure that those funds will eventually be used to invest in the right coins or projects. Otherwise, the plan will not be followed and eventually, the investment will never create profits and everything may lost in the thin air.
2280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin price drop is an excellent time to buy bitcoins on: May 26, 2022, 11:03:14 PM
The crypto market made massive progress in 2021, but we can see significant swings that have scared many crypto investors in 2022. The price of Bitcoin has dropped below $31,000, and many investors panicked. But don’t run from crypto before you read the article.

Bitcoin’s price dropped
The bitcoin's price decreased below $26,000 for the first time in 16 months, amid a sell-off in cryptocurrencies that erased more than $200 billion from the entire market in a single day. Ethereum, the most well-known altcoin, tanked to as low as $1,704. It’s the first time the token has fallen beneath the $2,000 mark since June 2021.
TerraUSD (UST) is intended to be pegged to the $1 but it sank as low as 12 cents and collapsed in a run as investors panicked and sold off their tokens. The Terra blockchain has since officially halted.
Some crypto investors are fleeing from cryptocurrencies. Many crypto investors think about what they should do to save their money. Potential crypto investors are as scared as experts.
What’s behind the latest bitcoin drop? Are crypto market collapsed?

Don’t panic
First, Bitcoin saw its dropping below $31,000 for the first time since July 2021. Such bitcoin’s price was just over a year ago and it means that you don’t need to pay 10,000 bitcoins for pizza. Bitcoin is still a valuable digital asset.
Second, cryptocurrencies have plunged in tandem with Wall Street, and are almost on par with the tech-centric Nasdaq, as investors fret about the Federal Reserve’s next moves to tame inflation. When the Federal Reserve raises interest rates to combat levels of inflation unseen in the U.S. for forty years, it has the effect of lessening demands for more growth companies, like tech stocks and speculative risk assets like Bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies are a part of the economy.
Third, the volatility of cryptocurrencies makes them attractive for investment and risky at the same time. If you seek shelter, you should invest in low-risk assets such as US Treasury bonds but the profitability of assets is also low. By investing in Bitcoin, many investors expect that the speculative craze hasn't diminished, and they will be able to sell it again for much more than they paid. But recent history should be that such plans, while tempting, are never easy to achieve. . The thrill of speculatively investing is not the best strategy because bitcoin is a long-term asset.
Looking back at every past bitcoin downturn, there is absolutely no need to panic in such a situation.

Should you own bitcoin? Should you invest in bitcoin now?
It doesn't really matter who you are, a first-time crypto investor or an experienced crypto trader. The most important thing is to be prepared for the bear market. You should hold or even increase your position if you're set up because bitcoin is a long-term asset. The price drop is a good time to buy bitcoins and use a buy-and-hold strategy. Volatility is as old as the hills, and it's not going anywhere. Keep your cryptocurrency investments under 5% of your portfolio. If you've done that, don't stress about the swings because they will keep happening. If you want to invest in altcoins, you should create a balanced portfolio.
Anyway, bitcoin down is an opportunity for growth, and you can take this opportunity.

Every bear market brings not just only an opportunity, but a new challenge because you are investing in those coins which you are not sure if they are going to survive from the bearish market or just stay being low priced and undervalued. But in order to lessen the risk of losing, focus on bitcoin. Even if its price drops more, and you were not able to buy it from its cheapest price, that is still fine. After all, bitcoin will surely survive from a bear market and will always reach its new ATH when the market turns to bullish.
