1401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: January 21, 2023, 11:45:49 PM
If Satoshi was known then there's no doubt that Government would really be trying out their best to get a hold of him and trying to convince or even force him out to stop on what he had created.
It is really that no brainer on what they would do or even kill satoshi to break down the morale of Bitcoin supporters but pretty sure it wont really be that something simple to happen.
It is really good to have on this way on which he decided to remain that anonymous and never tend to come out on the shadows.

Even if they catch Satoshi now, they won't be able to stop Bitcoin because of the way it was designed. The cryptocurrency has a lot of nodes and miners supporting it worldwide, so it would take a lot of time and effort to shut it down for good. Not even Satoshi would be able to do anything about it, as it's all about consensus.

Because Bitcoin is open source, any compromise on the Blockchain could easily trigger a new chain with its own set of rules. It's virtually unstoppable. They only chance governments would've had to stop Bitcoin was back in its very beginnings. Kudos to Satoshi remaining anonymous since day one. I hope he stays that way for the good of Bitcoin and the whole crypto/Blockchain space. Just my thoughts Grin
The government cannot do anything anymore to stop bitcoin because its usage and adoption will be here for good already as even Satoshi don't have its full control anymore. So even if authorities will take on hold to Satoshi and accuse him of how bitcoin destroy fiat and central banks, that won't create any positive result because the bitcoin miners and owners now are now in full control with bitcoin, and not those third party or entities.
1402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: QUESTION: For Gambling Enthusiasts ❗❗ on: January 21, 2023, 11:28:42 PM
PvP games mean something because we can compete with other people for victory. We can also learn something that we can get from the game to improve the skills we have so that they are even better. And it will be fun to play with other people and compete with them and it will be more fun if we play with our friends.

But I don't play with friends too often and tend to gamble alone in my room. So I chose casino A because I play Slot games a lot.
PvP games have considered a norm today especially with the young gamers playing around, as this could help them develop more of their talents and skills, and to enhance more of their socialization practices. However, regular gamblers may not be quite interested in that kind of games, just like myself I still prefer to play with casino games like slot and poker. That’s where I think it’s more profitable and more entertaining for me.
1403  Economy / Economics / Re: Another Boom for the crypto market. on: January 21, 2023, 11:00:00 PM
A good step taken by Binance, considering that Binance has almost controlled all existing territories, there is no choice but to accept and comply with government policies in order to operate legally in Poland, this reflects Binance's seriousness in serving part of the needs that are intended for anyone and maybe they have also given beneficiary access to some monitoring policies, so the potential for Binance to grow and develop will be even greater in the future in Poland.

This good news will make crypto supporters in Poland even more comfortable in transacting using Binance, because now they are operating legally in the area, but if this news is real and has been approved by several government options.
I would say that Binance is living at its own advantage, and it has now even become greater with the government supporting its business expansion. Although when we say centralized, it’s never reliable like decentralized did, but the fact that it could pave way to gain greater attention from the citizens, then I think Binance is also doing a great job. My only hope is that Binance will never end up just like FTX, reputable but not reliable enough.
1404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie it is better you take custody of your coins on: January 21, 2023, 10:45:13 PM
It's a great idea to take custody of your funds from the start (especially if you've only got a small investment) because you're going to be risking less when you really do need your funds in your own wallet (there was some warning FTX was going to collapse before it did, if you know how the network works, you'll be better at taking your funds out as early as possible).

You're also missing the point of crypto if you're keeping funds on an exchange as you're not really investing in it (you're just investing in an exchange as they'll leverage your assets).
True. Crypto is decentralized so you also need to save it in a decentralized wallet like your own non-custodial wallet so you can have the sole control of your funds, and not the other group or entity. Reputable centralized exchanges may be reliable these days but just like FTX, anything could happen all of a sudden. So as early as today, have your own non-custodial wallet and stay away from centralized exchanges, regardless if they are reputable or not.
1405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 21, 2023, 08:58:56 PM
How to choose a casino, is there a criterion for this, or do you just go to any casino and play? It's a rash move without preparation. Also interested in a payment system, which is recommended to play in such casinos? Or just a suitable crypto wallet? I apologize for my silly questions, but I want to understand everything once and for all.
Yes, of course, we have criteria for choosing a trusted casino. One important thing is its reputation. We can first research the reputation of the gambling platform or casino before we decide which platform to use. Reputation can be checked on the board here, or in reviews. many people may have experienced bad things in non-reputable casinos because they are scammers or even casinos that have really bad reputations in problem-solving, giving rewards to the users and others. Additionally, if I were you, I will better to choose the casino by checking on some casino signature campaign here. Most of them are reputable and trusted. campaigns
Some reviews are not reliable anymore since they are paid already by the platform itself. And while checking from signature campaigns is also a good thing to do, but for me having to play and experience with the casinos you think are reliable is the best way i could think in order to chose a reputable crypto casino. You don’t need to bet all in, just play with a minimal amount so that if you lose, it won’t bother you at all.
1406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i am a housewife want to invest in bitcoin on: January 20, 2023, 11:57:47 PM
That's not up to me if I say you should invest or not. I don't have to repeat about you reading the forum rules or such but about if it's too late or not to invest in bitcoin is I can give some opinion or advice if you call it that way. Since you said that you are a housewife and let's assume that you have lots of time to learn and once you have done that then you can decide on own if you want to invest or not and there's nothing wrong with asking advices even if you have knowledge about Bitcoin already maybe as a preferences or guide. I know that there are some time you are busy doing house chores and more but I am sure you have some free time and I think you should better ude that chance to soend that time in crypto.
If you want to invest in bitcoin, then start with the basics first and DYOR everything you want to learn as they can be very significant once you are already doing real investment with bitcoin. And never expect for quick profits like some greedy people who only invest for money, learn first and then you will know how to make profits with it in the future.
1407  Economy / Economics / Re: We are not out of the woods yet on: January 20, 2023, 11:37:14 PM
People are free to think what they like, even the great crypto analysts like PlanB can sometimes be wrong. And the funny thing about people in crypto is that, when the price is up, they as why, when it goes down they still ask why.
So when you see some people claiming to give up on crypto doesn't mean they actually give up lol.
Bear market brings buying opportunities if you don't know.
They give up because they can't stand the pressure brought by the bearish market, where in fact bearish market could be a source of opportunities to gain future profits. However, at the end of the day, bearish market won't stay for good as we will always have to witness its counter cycle which is its bullish market. So everyone is free to think what will be the market situation in the next months and years, but rest assured it won't only be bearish but it will also turn bullish in time.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving bitcoin awareness for easy adoption in my locality on: January 20, 2023, 10:51:54 PM
Sharing knowledge about bitcoin and giving them an awareness of what bitcoin is is a good sign that the people there in your locality are willing to learn.
I want to start that in my area starting with my relatives but upon checking the vibes here, it's not applicable here. That's why whenever I see folks doing their own share for bitcoin, I'm happy and just cheer you guys with the positivity that you're doing.
It’s a great feeling to see that there are really those people who have huge faith in in bitcoin and they will do everything to spread awareness and share everything they have obtained from bitcoin. Kudos to these people who are very positive and are very reliable in promoting bitcoin. I just hope that this will be a successful venture and that local merchants around will also become enthusiastic with bitcoin too. Please post more updates OP because this kind of story will bring more positivity especially to those who have lost faith in bitcoin.
1409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Curiosity on Bitcoin brought me to this amazing platform on: January 20, 2023, 09:58:10 PM
Hi everyone,

I am indeed glad to be on this platform. I just joined and in just some few hours surfing through various posts on Bitcoin, I have learnt so much.

I love the integrity of this platform and it makes one feels very safe here knowing how fraud has increased all over the World.

With Bitcoin, people are able to make genuine living. This has helped in reducing the rate of crimes and frauds in Africa, especially amongst the teaming and unemployed Youths.

Bitcoin is a game changer and a blessing to this he generation.
People can only make genuine living here if they are knowledgeable enough and already have great experiences in the forum. Other than that, this forum will not be a good revenue if you are just here for your greed and for the obsession to be profitable in bitcoin.
1410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Two Types Of Traders - My Personal Classification on: January 19, 2023, 11:59:50 PM
A blind trader would really be ending up on being that awakened trader.  Cheesy It all matters on the experience that they would encounter and those initial thoughts and believe on mind will really be swept
away and they would really be having that other approach on the time that they had gained up sufficient experience through different trading encounters.Sooner or later you would really be realizing off those things.
From blind to awaken which it would be the most common case to happen where it isnt surprising that you would really be more better when you do realize up things along the way.
If you are really that liking not to progress yourself then you would be sticking into your common methods until your do realize that it is pointless to continue on this way.
Traders should aim for profits and not the other way around. So if they see they are in constant losses, that will make them think that there’s something wrong with how they trade. And that will serve as their eye opener that trading is always hard especially if they trade blindly. If they want to make profits and prosper in trading, the best way is to change their trading approach, and resort into being awakened traders that are now more capable to attract more profits and trading success.
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting. on: January 19, 2023, 11:41:48 PM
I don’t know who this year’s Miss Universe is, and definitely had no idea who it would be. However, after seeing the pageant’s new owner, I feel pretty safe in saying that next year’s winning won’t be a woman at all. I’d be willing to bet that next year’s winner will be a transvestite (is that still a word that’s acceptable to use?) male dressed as a woman. Is any platform letting you make that bet yet?
Probably that would be the case as the new owner is a trans woman so expect that there will be new set of rules and the board will accept transgender as they are now widely accepted worldwide. However, if we stick to its title itself, Miss Universe should be a real woman with real beauty and charm, and not a transgender. Although the advocacy will still be the same, but the POV might be somehow different now.
1412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to overcome the link between Beginners and Bitcoin Anxiety. on: January 19, 2023, 09:59:03 PM
Great thread. It sums up many of the advises I have learnt here over the last couple of months into a concise write up.

When it comes to avoiding the fud, I would suggest that we do not simply ignore anything about bitcoin which does not align with our understanding of it. Stay open minded to opinions against it and do your research before ruling it out as baseless.

- Jay -
Do not just avoid FUDs but learn not to live with it. Because if you get carried away by some irresistible FUDs, you will resort into making wrong decisions in the crypto market that will eventually make you lose from bitcoin investments. Also, stay updated when it comes to bitcoin so you won’t keep on doing the same mistakes again that will develop bitcoin anxiety.
1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair games are not fair on: January 16, 2023, 09:17:47 PM
I think you don't fully understand what provably fair means, and especially what it doesn't mean. Provably fair doesn't mean you won't lose money in the long run, it doesn't mean the house edge equals 0% or the RTP is 100%. In other words it doesn't mean the expected value is not negative. It just mean you can check the outcome and see if the casino has cheated you or not. So you shouldn't expect to not lose money by playing to these games, you will lose the same amount of money in the long run as a similar live game or a similar non provably fair game not rigged.
Of course, there will always be inevitable losses even in provable fair games. Because once you gamble, expect that you will gain more losses than wins, that’s the reality. However, when it comes to provable fair games, that means that the casino whether offline or online, is not allowed to cheat on its players because those games show transparency and reliability. If you think they are suspicious, you can actually question them and verify the outcome of the game.
1414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting. on: January 16, 2023, 08:47:52 PM
Are you sure it's a girl? Maybe it's a play of light and shadow, but I see that she has little on top and a lot on the bottom... let's just say some kind of surprise is possible in the area below the navel  Grin
As I understand it, the representative of the United States became Miss Universe. Was it in line with the predictions or was it a surprise? It seems to me that this choice was not least due to the agenda.

Grin Grin Of course she is a girl but to tell you truth i don't think she is beautiful. I think the Miss Universe contest requires a lot of things and factors to be declare as a winner and not only beauty. If beauty was the only criteria there may be some other girl selected but here they may also also looked at other things like confidence, profession, achievement in life, traveling and education etc etc

Also she is from USA and of course this could be pre decided that they will make a USA candidate winner, as USA is a powerful country that can influence such competitions easily.
This could be arranged already or it comes as surprising or just happen accidentally. Only the board of judges know the truth. However, I have seen this Miss Universe but only in the final round and I think she’s not that bad to become a newly crowned Miss Universe. She has the looks and the intelligence, I just hope she can be a good role model too not only for women but for all individuals as well.
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 16, 2023, 08:17:08 PM
I only set a bankroll to play and that is the maximum I will spend on gambling for the week, usually 50-100 or max of 200 dollars.I have been a slot addict and I can proudly say that I am not an addict anymore,I have the courage to quit when I see that loses keep hitting me.I play sport betting now,it is easy to check here as you see your balance grow or shrink based on your performance.

I think in sport betting is much easier to keep track of the lost amounts but in slot machines is much more difficult, you need to continuously update an excel sheet to keep track of your lost amounts and I think this would be the best thing to do to keep track of our lost amounts,we can add deposits and withdraws there and it is easy to see the difference which in turn would be our profit or lost amount.

If you follow your emotions then there is no real escape, you will lose continuously money as emotions do not make us see the reality but show us a distorted one,the one we want to see.
If you could set your budget for gambling and stick to it, there would be no huge losses in gambling because you are only gambling your money that you can afford to lose. However, I would also say that if you are an irresponsible gambler and has no discipline when it comes to your expense, and you let your emotions control your mind, then you will always end up with possible losses than winnings from gambling.
1416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: January 16, 2023, 07:58:39 PM
I have no casino of choice, I prefer to explore and discover new places to gamble. I mostly play slots and card games. It doesn't matter where you gamble, you have to gamble responsibly. Remember the golden rule: never gamble with money you can't afford to lose.  Cool
It will still be a problem if you don't find a suitable casino to play gambling. Imagine that you tried one casino at a time that you found, but it turns out that several casinos ended up tricking you and making you unable to withdraw your winnings. That will give you problems, especially if the winning money is large. So if you can find a reputable casino, it won't give you any problems. So at least you can have a good casino as a list of casinos where you play while you don't use a casino that is not reputable. And indeed, we only have to play gambling with the money we can afford.
If you are a regular gambler, you will really end up with having casinos of your own choice. Although you want to discover and explore new casinos each time you play, but I don’t believe that you still don’t have favorite casinos of your choice. Because if you keep on playing on random casinos, though it’s not bad, but it would be hard for you to trust your money into random casinos especially if you are a high roller.
1417  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 16, 2023, 07:39:41 PM
Get a job, at the very least, or add another source of income. If you don't have extra cash to risk on a highly volatile asset, you can't just buy bitcoin. In addition, exercise discipline in all financial decisions, just as you would in any other area of the market for investments. And more importantly, improve your security and privacy to protect your hard earned money.

That is how you stay in the long run.
You can't just rely on bitcoin alone because its a highly volatile investment, so have your own main source of income and make bitcoin as a side hustle. That way, even if bitcoin drops its price most of the time, you will not be bothered and triggered to sell. So you can hold it for long term and make significant profits in time.
1418  Economy / Economics / Re: Reserve Bank of India Governor Calls for an Outright Crypto Ban on: January 15, 2023, 11:43:47 PM
CBDCs are just fiat that claims to use blockchain technology, but they are fiat. They offer no value more than fiat.

I hope indian government will not be very stupid to leave cryptocurrencies and ban it. The reserve bank of India governor is only self-centered but he is just a single person. Single person can not ban cryptocurrencies when the citizens likes it. He wants ban of what the government sees as a means of getting more tax.

Te reserve bank of India governor see crypto as gambling, he should propose ban of gambling in India too.
Even if the Indian government will ban crypto, that won’t guarantee that people will stop from using it completely. The citizens will surely find ways on how to access crypto, even if it means going outside India to make  crypto transactions. Well, I guess you’re right, the governor is just selfish and greedy, he will do everything in his power to ban crypto but we know for sure that crypto is here to conquer the world inevitably, but it won’t mean eliminating fiat as crypto and fiat should still work hand in hand.
1419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can newbies know when it's a good track of conversation on: January 15, 2023, 10:59:37 PM
You simply respond to conversations(or threads) if you think you actually have something decent to contribute, and if what you want to say hasn't been said already. It's that simple.
As long as you know the topic and you have something significant to add, you’re safe. Just don’t spam or make low quality post, so you won’t be a target from being temporarily or permanently banned. Otherwise, if you think you don’t have something valuable to share to the forum, obtain knowledge first, and learn from those veterans in the forum.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: January 15, 2023, 10:40:34 PM

What I don't like though is that those boxers who throw below the belt insults against each other, they shouldn't allow themselves to talk about someone's family or wife or kids. Lets the trash talking between this two fighters that's it. It could be personal attack like what Ryan said on Davis years ago, or Tank accusing Ryan or taking some drugs because he looks huge right now or talking about his mental health excuses. So shots have been fired in the media already, but in the end we will see who's mouth can back the talks when they face each other in April.

I understand that with this chatter boxers support the hype around the fight, maybe it's even part of their duties that managers require of them (I'm not sure about that), but I do not support this. For me, the inability of a person to keep his mouth shut is a sign of a small mind. If you are a real champion, then all that is required of you is to enter the ring and show your best, everything else is superfluous. Muhammad Ali, Tyson, Lewis each showed their strength in the ring, but none of them wasted their strength outside the ring on empty chatter.
Same with Pacquiao too, he’s not fond of talking shitty words against his opponents, or even touch the personal lives of his opponents, but only give his best shot when inside the ring to beat his match. Let the performance talks, not the mouth. That way, whether you win or lose at the end of the fight, at least you have not harm others from your own words.
