1461  Economy / Economics / Re: Every passing year seems progressively worse on: January 02, 2023, 07:44:04 PM
Perhaps my sitting all alone in my bed on New Year's Eve isn't helping.
Actually I think that is the main point... Problems, crisis, climate changes and conflicts have always been present in a global level every years, but we tend to over-absorb all these negative news when we are in a bad mood and discontented with our own lives, especially during Christmas and New Year, when it should be the happiest moment of the year, to be shared with people we love reciprocally.

Anyway, happy new year to everyone and good luck on your bitcoin endeavors!
Happy New Year to you as well! That 2023 may be different in a personal level, because the problems of the world aren't solvable!
The reason why despite all those negative circumstances that made us struggle in life, we should still stay having positive mindset and avoid all those negativity in life because that will only destruct our future perspectives in life. Let’s just accept the fact that there will always be inevitable problems that will sure to occur, but at least we’re not that weak that can’t withstand all those life’s challenges.
1462  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mistakes Successful People Never Make Twice on: January 02, 2023, 07:15:16 PM

CONCLUSION: No one is perfect. We are born to make mistakes in our journey of life but making same mistakes often results to a total failure. We should always learn to avoid making repeated mistakes and also learn from our previous mistakes to correct our journey in life.
No matter what we do, even if we are too careful of our decisions, mistakes will come without noticing until the results come out, and then started to figure out the mistakes we did. Oh yes, learning from the mistakes we did in the past leads our way to success but we can't deny that many people still commit mistakes because it was not just we learn from our mistakes, it is also how we change our mindset and be serious about doing it.

It is very important to listen to some useful advice from other people, otherwise.
Mistakes are part of the process, and that we should always learn from our mistakes  and not committing the same mistakes again and again, otherwise, mistakes will eventually make us doom and lead into failure. However, yes even if we always tend to be so much careful, there will always be inevitable mistakes that are unavoidable, but the good thing is we tend to become stronger and even more brainy from facing all these mistakes and challenges in life.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: January 01, 2023, 09:59:18 PM
And according to Ryan Garcia's trainer, the fame Joe Goossen, Ryan is the harder puncher of the two,

Quote
“The thing is, I think per square inch, Ryan possesses a much heavier punch [than Davis]. I believe that for a particular reason. With that said, neither one of these guys want to get hit with the other guy’s best shot.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-packs-heavier-punch-tank-davis-says-trainer-joe-goossen--171395

Obviously, he will praise Garcia and tell us what advantage he has against Tank not just in terms of power though.

And I do agree, either one doesn't want to get hit by the other one because for sure this is going to be a knock out. And the one that blinks in this fight, will wake up in the canvass after they get hit.
It’s always expected that he will favor and praise his own pet because whatever the performance of Ryan, that will also reflect on the trainer’s performance on how he handle his trainee. Yes, Ryan has a heavier punch but Davis has also the best shot when inside the ring, as both of them are also considered world-class boxers. So with all those serious and heavy trainings they have both experiencing right now, I guess everyone deserves to witness another world class event that is obviously a must watch for all of us.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers that don't understand basic gambling concepts. on: January 01, 2023, 09:40:12 PM
For some time now I have seen in this section of the forum a not small percentage of gamblers who do not understand basic statistical concepts of mathematics applied to gambling, such as Return to Player or Expected Value. As a result, it is not surprising that every now and then we see someone who thinks he has found a good system to win casino games by applying some variant of the Martingale. This is despite the fact that these are not complicated concepts and the information is easily accessible to everyone, it is not like 30 years ago. I would say that at least 25% of the people who write in this section fall into this category.

Do you have the same perception as me?

I think a lot of whiny threads of people telling how they ended up losing a lot more than they expected would be minimised if people understood these basic concepts. Although knowing the theory doesn't guarantee it 100% because we sometimes get carried away by emotions.

I am sure that some of those who think they understand these concepts but in reality do not will comment on this thread Grin.

Gamblers who don't understand the concept of gambling only become part of the profit source for a casino site.
They play without having basic knowledge and precise calculations, so they only follow their way of thinking. However, losing and losing money is of course what they get, while the wins belong to the dealer or the casino owner himself.
So understanding and strategy in gambling is very important to have. Even though having an understanding or strategy does not guarantee a win, at least it can minimize the possibility of losing in gambling.
However, I believe some gamblers are smart enough to understand those basic concepts in gambling, but they refuse to internalize it as they are blinded by personal desires and the greed to make bigger money in the process. So as a result, they are doom into losses and only the casino house benefits from it. There’s no wrong actually once you’re into gambling, since it’s a means of pleasure, but if you have misunderstood it’s basic concepts and follow on what you believed, that’s the time that you will really experience the worst scenarios in gambling.
1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: January 01, 2023, 09:14:55 PM
If you have a look at the scam accusation section, you will find that no casino has a good reputation there. Each and every casino which has their ANN thread here, has at least one complaint against them; sometimes confiscated funds, delayed withdrawal, not paying the winning, freezing account etc. Why this is the principal of all the casinos? Why they can't operate without having any issues? They always do this shit; who knows what has been done with people who don't know how to deal with such a casino. Can you show me a thread that never had any reputation issues on this forum?

I do agree that many casinos have many scam accusations against them. But you are forgetting the fact my friend that these are scam accusations, not actual scam incidents. To accuse anybody you simply need to create a thread, and in order to prove that they actually scammed, proofs required. So to be honest I don’t mind seeing multiple accusations against a site until and unless those have solid proofs. And yes with big popularity the amount of accusations rises. So definitely if you see stake.com and prime dice, they have plenty of accusations against them, but all we know that they are best in the market.
Personally, those accusations do not matter at all, regardless if they are fake or not. As long as they come to find solutions on each problem and resolve them, that’s all that matters. And the fact that even reputable casinos are not free from accusations, but we have seen that despite all those issues, these reputable casinos have continued to serve us and give their satisfying services.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing national lottery smart or waste of time? on: January 01, 2023, 08:59:14 PM

But the reality is, such lotteries usually have way worse odds than any casinos or gambling sites. So, mathematically speaking, you're better off gambling your money there.

Thoughts?

But millions of people choose to ignore or do not know this, all they know is this is their ticket to escape poverty and change their life, even if it's almost impossible to hit the jackpot, we also have a lottery here and we have 9 games held daily because we supported our lottery because it is government-run and the proceeds of the profit are being used by our government in the health sector and for social welfare.
I play the lotto often, and I know that it's almost impossible to hit the jackpot but I support our government-run lottery because of the benefits our poor people are getting.
That’s one good thing about lottery, even if gamblers will rarely win, those amount that goes into gambling lottery house will still be benefited by the poorest people that really need assistance from the government, physically and financially. So there’s no really losses when we bet, as there are lotto beneficiaries await from it. The only thing we start losing is when we bet more than we can afford to lose. As lottery can changes everything from rags to riches, but it can also make us worst gamblers and put us into more poverty.
1467  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your takes on revenge gambling? on: January 01, 2023, 08:40:33 PM
In my opinion, an attempt to win back a loss is one of the most common mistakes that admit a gambler at a time when he was overwhelmed with emotion.

Gambling means that the casino has an advantage over the player and the longer you play the more likely you are to lose. If you think that it is so easy to return the money you lost you are very mistaken and you need to reconsider your views on gambling.

In general, you should try to play not to win, and for the pleasure of the game, but some gamblers never come to this understanding.
Gamblers hardly realize that gambling is to mostly lose, and not to make profits all the time. That the gambling casino house has always the advantage over the players, whether those games are luck or chance based, or even skilled based games. The reason why gamblers should always consider it as a means of entertainment rather than seeing as a means of living. Gambling will always be fun and exciting if we play and win, but we should also be more open to losses as they can always be inevitable, and just learn to accept them, but never to chase.
1468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Willing To Get Educated On The Bitcointalk Forum on: December 31, 2022, 07:43:32 PM
I recently joined Bitcointalk.org and now I realize there are many things to comprehend on this topic that I can't achieve on my own.

You'll only have trouble if you don't understand Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the first place. Because in the end, Bitcointalk is almost just like any other Bitcoin/cryptocurrency community.
Precisely. Bitcointalk forum talks mainly about bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrencies so if you are not aware on it in the first place, then you better have to so you can fulfill your purpose why you enter bitcointalk first and foremost. Just take the process one step at a time so you can fully understand the essence of having bitcoin and altcoins in the crypto market. And with all the veterans here in the forum, it’s certain that you will learn a lot of new ideas and perspectives that you are going to embrace later on.
1469  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: December 31, 2022, 07:02:22 PM
In any case, I advise you to leave your feelings away when trading. In all cases, there is profit and loss in trading, which means that loss is part of the process of profit.
Trading revenge and trying to trade in order to please your hormones will lead you to more losses.
Don’t get too emotional when you are in trading because the moment you started losing, those emotions will burst out and become uncontrolled. That is why never involve your emotions when trading, although it’s a way quite impossible since we definitely put our feelings and emotions in all that we do. One thing is certain, if you see yourself you are in constant losing, then take a break and then think of new strategies that have higher chances that will work on you. Trading is not just all about profits, so never expect for trading to be always favoring your side.
1470  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: December 31, 2022, 06:35:42 PM
Wouldn't it be too dangerous to do this outside anyway? There's just a lot of perils and dangers that you might encounter. Even those who are doing vlogs that are just walking outside are often targeted by a lot of criminals and ill-minded people, how much more does this one? Also, wouldn't it be against local laws to gamble in the streets as it can be a cause of trouble for people and can be seen by kids/minors? It's a unique idea, but not something that is too inviting IMO.
I agree. I don't think it's safe to gamble in streets because everyone are seeing it even the minors that should not be exposed in this kind of activity. Moreover the money of those who gamble and win can be at risk for people around who have bad intention. Here in our place, you can't do this, they only allow the players to gamble inside the casino with permit and license. Anyway this is somehow interesting because it's different to what we used to. But it would be safe for op if he started this plan with a permit to allow the activity even it's in the street.
Yes. Not just the minors at risk but most likely the winners who have been seen by people around that they are keeping their money on them. That will create an interest to the strangers around who are just waiting for some targets to fall as their new victims. Regardless if that operating live casino is legal and has its own license, it would always create trouble especially if there are also liquors around that will trigger more the situation.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: December 31, 2022, 06:06:51 PM

Well, if you're right, sometimes there are things that children can see at a certain moment and we can't have enough speed to capture them, in fact, in my case I have to be very aware of my son, well With his mother he began to watch things from horror movies and that caused him terrible damage, because he has to sleep accompanied, of course he did that while I was not there, because we are no longer with my child's mother, currently I have another wife and a baby, and to remove that fear from my 7-year-old son is very difficult, it has cost me a lot, so sometimes because of someone's ignorance the children suffer.

Kids of these days are more smarter than the kids of our time - they know movies - songs - season and to my surprise they like Korean, Turkish and other languages series - thanks to the subtitle and other language translation that people get a chance to know about these dramas and plays and movies as well

Yes, it is true that today's children prefer to watch action films and some Korean drama films compared to animated cartoons or the like, they even memorize the names of the actors in these films.
I also wonder why today's children prefer this to playing with friends their own age and even worse when they are watching the film they even forget the time and forget they have to study, it is very different from when I was a child, it was even more it's nice to meet and play together playing silly games.
As for betting on the Oscar award, I am not at all interested.
Kids these days have different way of thinking compared to us before. And their interest might have also been shifted like they focus more on drama and horror movies, gone are the days where cartoons and comedy are the kids favorites. However, I haven’t been interested in Oscar’s betting even before, although I love to watch some of these movies but I have not thinking betting on them.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: December 31, 2022, 05:37:39 PM
I was surprised that everybody who joined the poll voted for Gervonta Davis winning by way of knockout. If only Hector Luis Garcia would see this result, he should be worried. Or perhaps all of his worries will be gone because he is already expected to lose. So in other words, he has got nothing to lose in this fight anymore. He knows he is just a tune-up opponent. So he has everything to gain. He should be motivated by this and train hard to give the world the shock of the century. Or can he do it?
Gervonta Davis has 92,59% knock out rate and he's fight with Luis Garcia which is a cherry picket opponent, how can anyone doesn't think Gervonta wouldn't win via knock out in this match? it would be different if he's fight with a champion or someone that hasn't been defeated e.g. Ryan Garcia.

And Luis Garcia is high unlikely visit this forum to read the poll Cheesy he might still training very hard and wouldn't wasting his time to scroll his device.
Probably, Luis Garcia by now has been facing a serious training for his upcoming fight, so he won’t waste a time just merely reading all the comments. And besides, Luis Garcia has his own plan how to fight with Tank Davis as he has advantages over Tank according to him. But we’ll see if he can prove his words when both are already inside the ring. My vote is for Davis too, and I’m excited as to what round this match will last for.
1473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: December 30, 2022, 11:59:14 PM
So this could really be a close fight and will be a battle of strategy and who will adjust.

I'm hoping that way because Tim Tszyu deserves to be recognized, Charlo is very popular already, just like his brother but I see he already found a good rival and that is Tim Tszyu. Though looking at the betting odds we might be disappointed if we are backing Tim Tszyu to win because he is the underdog, but let's view it on a positive way as that could mean more money if we win.
Well, it’s not that bad to bet on Tim Tsyzu because his boxing record is quite impressive too as he has 21 all won fights and no record of losses. He might be the underdog in this game but he can actually end as undefeated if he will give his best and improve his craft in boxing, even better than the performance shown by Charlo in his past games. Well, both have their hidden gems in boxing so definitely a must watch again.
1474  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: December 30, 2022, 11:39:37 PM
That's quite inconsiderate. Can you imagine many people don't have the luxury to invest because at the end of the month they only have debts left?

The richer you are, the more risk you can afford to take without going hungry or homeless when your investments fail.
Poor people would always want to invest if there are chances to invest, and they have the sufficient funds to invest. But they lack the whole resources to invest, and all they could have are just plans but failed to realized because they were not given the same opportunities with those who are living good life. So we can’t actually blame them for that because they have their own valid reasons.
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: December 30, 2022, 09:59:12 PM
Went almost 100% on a shitcoin in 2016 that caused me to basically start over. Bounced back in 2017 by creating online businesses and went high allocation on bitcoin.

While I would've been in a far better place today if I didn't mess up in 2016 (still haunts me a bit, not gonna lie), there's nothing for me to do than to accept that huge loss as an expensive lesson and just move on.
Experienced the same scenario but not with crypto but in the real business world. I put all my hard-earned money and even took a loan, but only found out that I have invested in a scam investment. That made me feel so worthless and totally depressed that I have wasted a lot of money in just a short period of time, and everything’s gone. So I have to start in the beginning all over again, until a friend of mine introduced me to bitcoin. And the rest is history, and that made me open new opportunities for me again to make good profits and earn a living.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: December 30, 2022, 09:43:05 PM
Gambling should be for fun, but addiction is certain for some gamblers, the best is to just have control over it, just spend the amount of money you can afford to lose on gambling and you will enjoy it. Gambling is good when it is for fun, but bad when you are addicted by either spending too much time and money on it. I will advice you to try as much as possible to not be addicted.
It’s okay to be addicted in gambling as long as you still have the control on yourself and your own finances. Otherwise, if you gamble with uncontrolled addiction, then gambling will not be good and fun anymore. As for me, I do gamble more on for fun and the only way I can do that is just to bet a small amount on my most favorite game. Neither it’s a win or lose, it won’t matter at all as long as I only gamble an amount I can manage to lose.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 30, 2022, 08:03:21 PM
I share the same thought.  For me, gambling for fun means raking in winnings, rewards, and bonuses.  I also agree that it is not fun to see our bankroll depleted during our session.  I also don't believe that people are trully gambling for entertainment's sake (without the thought of profit).  After all, what is our reason why we are betting and wagering amoutns if we don't hope in winnings?  So yeah gambling for fun to me is gambling to win.  But of course, I always gamble on what I can afford to lose.
This makes sense. Gambling takes more of our time especially if we keep chasing our satisfaction so we also have to make it profitable as well. Because to be honest, a lot of gamblers would never want fun and satisfaction alone, they are also gambling for more money making. Even if we always say let’s gamble for fun, but the truth is there can only be more fun if we also get lucky in gambling.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 29, 2022, 10:59:07 PM
Any of you guys uses the responsible gambling feature? If so, what do you think about it? Is it helpful or does it only gives you a sense of control
Maybe, we all here have gambling sites that can really be trusted and are responsible for us in losing and winning bets, in general the features don't exist for me, but I have what you said.

To be honest, I have thrown away several online gambling sites, now I only have 2 online gambling sites that can be responsible for me in all respects, I have spent a lot of things there, only these gambling sites want to be responsible.
Well, aside from trusting reputable casino sites when gambling, we gamblers should also be responsible enough too to manage our funds not to lose them all from gambling. Because if we just keep on gambling without setting some limits, I guess in a just a year, we will end up ruining our future. So I believe this responsible gambling feature could still very helpful especially for those who fail to control theirselves when gambling, but if we also think we still manage to do the right thing in gambling even if we also make consistent but affordable losses, then we can always have the choice not to install this responsible gambling feature.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attributing wins or loses during gambling/betting to Ego or Simply Intuition. on: December 29, 2022, 09:54:21 PM
When i do tend to gamble then it is really surely pertains about my mood whether im into it or simply there are days which i dont really feel on making out some bets.
If im stressed nor really that get bored, there are other things comes up into my mind to distract myself on such situation but if those things arent possible due to some factors which i cant able to do
so then the last option would be doing gambling as this isnt really that my priority and if i do see that i have some funds or money to spare then i would definitely be
playing.Doesnt mind off about ego or intuition because it all matters on my mood and interest on that certain point.
Yes. Our own mood usually determines whether its best to gamble or not. Otherwise, forcing ourselves to gamble even if we know there is something wrong within ourselves will only make the situation worst and will mostly end up our betting into the losing end. So when I gamble, that is the time I’m feeling positivity and lucky and hopeful that I would be in profits and attract more winnings.
1480  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: December 26, 2022, 09:21:31 PM
~ But usually, if we are at an event from a casino, the casino will give a bonus with a deposit amount that is not too big to attract ordinary gamblers and it's a good time to try it.
Nope , I never do that in new casino mate , What i wanna try is their probability and fairness instead of getting the Bonus  because what is the bonus but in the end you'll get scammed or cheat by the site?
let us not be lured by those promises mate instead learn about the site before going bigger.

You are right, fairness is what counts the most, not the bonuses, if we are talking about a newly appeared gambling site. If it's a well known site, however, we already know it's fair, and then bonuses is what worth looking at.

As for the probability, I think you mean odds in sports betting, and what I personally have noticed is that odds can be good on one site for one game, and on another site for another. You will never find a site where odds for all games are better than anywhere.
You cannot expect good for all odds, some are better, some are just good enough. It’s for you to decide anyway. However, I also believe that bonuses and promotions are useless after all when the site alone is not reputable. Gone are those days where players are only after with the latest bonuses and promotions, gamblers today are more on having fair play games in which they can really tell that those games are not rigged and the casino site alone is also trustworthy and reputable.
