Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly
Or it is the casino's disclaimer that they are not responsible for anything bad that can happen to you because you are gambling like a shithead.

Sure, on the flipside, reminders like these denotes a positive tone, however you can't be sure if these entities actually cares to some random dude playing on their website. At the end of the day, their goal is to make money by providing some sort of entertainment where gamblers can enjoy.
It’s obvious that they don’t want to be blame if gamblers will resort into gambling addiction and lose everything they have. Because if they really care, once gamblers are making consistent losses, then they should put limits to it and these gamblers should not be allowed to gambler more. But it’s clear that casinos even come out with more bonuses and rewards so that gamblers will be more interested to bet more hoping they can still chase their losses and win a good amount this time.
1362  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area - part 2 on: February 04, 2023, 08:44:32 PM
You need to be smart actually in order to earn as much as possible to thrive more to increase your income. Start to accept any kind of job that wouldn't put you in a prison to help yourself start saving even it is little. Then do some side hustles, a good character will help you to earn more even you're just a parking boy in a third world country for example.

A lot of side hustles are needed in order to more aside from being employed, because in a third world country for example, the bare minimum wage is not enough to be honest to live every single day.
Be open minded and go out from your comfort zone. If you can do that, you will start to discover that there are better jobs outside your 8-hour day job. As long as you have certain talents and skills you have developed, it will be easier for you to accept side hustles that will improve your way of living and will put you into a more financial progress and stability. So even if you are minimum wage earner, that won’t be a problem as you have side hustles that you can rely too and that can provide you additional income enough not to struggle financially.
1363  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto YouTubers are all financial advisors on: February 03, 2023, 09:57:14 PM
If someone is not a financial advisor and still go live on Youtube or Twitch to talk about how they make money investing in a project or two what does that make them?

Aren't they supposed to keep their financial advice to themselves if they don't want to be a financial advisor? Yeah, I think the perfect way to stay away from been a financial advisor is to keep your ideas to yourself, don't say a word about it.

Oh, I almost forget, it pays to be a YouTuber, you need a niche to talk about per se, and it's very easy to talk about a project even if they are going to ruin your life, the secret behind this people is you, the only ways crypto YouTuber makes money is shilling their crypto bags and waiting for new buyers, it's two ways to make money for them, YOUTUBE and CRYPTO BAG..

If that’s what’s giving them a good income, even myself would also do that even if giving a financial advice might put someone into future losses. It’s not that I’m being greedy but if you are a responsible investor, you would never start investing and putting your money into that project if you never studied it in the first place. The basic rule is always know what your investing and always invest what you can afford to lose, so if you stick to that, you will never be actually at a loss in the end.
1364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - take profits or continue to DCA? on: February 03, 2023, 09:48:40 PM
I first started investing in Bitcoin after the June crash last year.

I had accumulated 0.07 Bitcoin before we started pumping a few weeks ago and have since sold 0.02 which currently leaves me with 0.05.

I decided to sell and put the profits into other altcoins I believe will see greater gains in the next bull run.

I am not sure if I should continue selling my Bitcoin the more we pump or if I should start to DCA again.

My thinking behind selling is although I got in at a good price (my current average buy is £15k), that it is only a 6x from £100k which is the expected amount Bitcoin will reach next bull run.

A 6x is good if you have thousands of pounds to invest , but I do not.

I want 20x gains and feel this is more realistic in top altcoins that are currently 80-90% down.

Is anyone taking profits or are most of us just DCA?

I’m not sure if there are a lot of taking profits by now as the market is not completely impressive and profitable enough to sell our bitcoin. That’s why I stay doing DCA and only decide to sell when I think it’s the perfect time to sell. Though bitcoin price is starting to create a slight price increase, but knowing how volatile it is, it might drop again in the next following days. The reason why I only focus on DCAing to fill in my portfolio with bitcoin.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very thankful for what bitcoin has done for me. on: February 03, 2023, 09:19:05 PM
Since its inception, bitcoin has opened doors to new opportunities for many people all over the world. A stress-free and valuable one, at that. Many people who saw the benefit of bitcoin earlier are now living a happy and healthy life as a result of taking advantage of the opportunity at an early stage. People thinking of not joining now and thinking it’s late already should be reoriented to have a change mindset in that regard. Bitcoin is paving the way for many people, and the sooner people realize this, the better.
People will never realize it unless they start taking the courage of working on bitcoin just like what they mostly do in their main job. While working with bitcoin gives us more time for ourselves and on how to improve our craft, the compensation being offered is clearly higher than what we earn from our regular jobs. That’s why I’m also thankful to bitcoin because I have also given such opportunity like this earning at the comfort of my own home.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charitable Casinos on: February 03, 2023, 08:40:21 PM
I am not aware of these charity casinos, its highly recommended to play on these casinos and if ever they create an announcement I will fully support this kind of casino, we will not feel bad if we ever lose money because we are helping people in need, in my country our lottery is being managed by our government and a big portion of the profit goes to charitable institutions for the poorest in our country, that is why the majority of people in our country are supporting it betting on it because they never know if they will be the next to ask for help in the institutions that benefit from these lotteries.
But even if they are charity-based casinos they should build their reputation, pay winners and address issues.
Casinos should still have no unresolved issues especially if it pertains to winnings withrawal as it’s the most important factor that customers will always consider. At least, if they are still considered reputable and trusted by gamblers, I would always support that casino so that I could also take part in helping those people who are less fortunate. Having said that, losing from this casino will never give me a heavy heart as my losses will also benefit other people.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much time do you think you have spent gambling? on: February 02, 2023, 09:28:57 PM
I find this to be a curious topic, after reading someone else's posts where they described gambling as if it were their permanent lifestyle/purpose/function.

If there were a "gameplay" timer where the total amount of time you've spent gambling (whether it be online or in person), what do you think the amount would be?
Or if you have lost too many hours to count, how much time do you think the clock would be if it started at the beginning of 2023?
...and do you regret either of those numbers?

I will lose track of those times because we forgot the hours when we are having time but I can do an estimation its 10 hours online and offline every week, ad I don't regret those numbers and numbers that I will accumulate as long as I'm enjoying those hours, some of these hours are spent with my friends playing cards every weekend, it's our way to spend time together.
Most probably, more than 10 hours for me every week spending in gambling since that is also one way to entertain myself especially if I came from a load of jobs that week that I just have to unwind and find entertainment in gambling. So it’s not really all in profits but mostly in losses i guess, but that won’t matter as long as I enjoyed gambling that time. For me, given this long hours spent in gambling, there’s nothing to regrets actually, as it’s my choice to gamble in my free time than to find myself drinking in bars and returning home late while drunk.
1368  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4 trading fears and how to overcome them on: February 02, 2023, 08:59:39 PM
Anything a trader fears in trading means there is risk involved. Trading is an activity that involves real money and it is only natural for traders to be afraid and to be careful with it. I don't see a big problem with that fear, but at least there has to be a solution to overcome that fear and that is knowledge.

Know how the market works, know what the risks are, know how to do analysis, know when to buy, know when to hold, know when to take profits and know how to control yourself from excuses. All of them are useful and they must be related to each other in order to be a profitable trader.
Manage your fears, that way you will never be at loss. I believe there are always fears in trading but if you keep on settling with that without even finding ways to overcome it, you will always endure losses everytime you trade. That maybe the reason why most of traders end up quitting because they can never overcome the fears and just keep on trading while losing. But if we always do trading with caution, and continue to learn from our mistakes and losses, then we can overcome fears in the long run and be successful traders instead.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to acquire Bitcoin without having the basic knowledge? on: February 02, 2023, 08:38:54 PM
Do you really want the responsibility of holding coins in behalf of a person? There's literally nothing for you to win and everything to lose. Think about if it's the case that you get hacked (though hopefully not).
If you don’t want to be blame in the future, then always avoid that kind of situation. Even if your decision will make him offended, don’t mind it as long as you are not putting yourself in a bigger problem in the following days. Bitcoin is good and a profitable investment, but one should also be knowledgeable and responsible enough to manage it seriously if he wants to gain huge benefits in the future. Without it, everything will end up in mess.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 30, 2023, 07:54:26 PM
Just two words about this subject (AI) that became more talked about since the hype about Chatgpt. Well the bot isn't bad but far from being perfect and requires human intervention to fix the text but can help people getting ideas and so on.
For sports, we always hear about AI selecting the winner for big competitions which ends up being eliminated then select another winner Roll Eyes
Data has nothing to do with real events but can give an overall idea about it. For example, with covid-19, we saw half of the team being absent and the result was the opposite..
Though AI is already there even before but the talks about them aren't that strong not until this Chatgpt came out. Now the topic about AIs are hot again. There is no perfect in this world so what do we expect? But despite of that fact, Chatgpt still functions very well. People love using it and that is why it became the talked of the town.

AIs like Chatgpt still need our help for them to function, so for those people who think AIs will dominate us soon, I think that's far from happening. In conclusion, We can use AIs to help us but we shouldn't totally rely on them. The rest of the work must still be done by us to ensure that the outcome is great as we expected it.
True, though AI is there to help us, but the rest should be done by us and the final decision should still come from us. And with this latest ChatGPT that is very trending now online, yes it’s very powerful and helpful in most of our basic learning needs, but gambling has never been fixed and predicted, so I don’t see it that AI is very significant in predicting gambling outcomes.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 30, 2023, 07:35:02 PM
The issue with that referee is beyond my comprehension. However, that was a truly poor call. Anyhow, I believe penalties are also handed out to referees, likely by their own NBA referees association. Obviously, bad calls have obvious consequences. Punishments maybe less games are officiated by referees with poor reputations. We have never heard of suspensions or even expulsions from the NBA because they are not reported in the media.

I found what happened to be unusual. In the past, I have become accustomed to reading, hearing, and seeing controversial decisions that are always in favor of the Lakers. When it comes to biased refereeing, they have the most memes out of all NBA teams.

The management will certainly do something about it as it has already affected the reputation of the league, they don't want to make people think that the league is rigged, so in order to retain that confidence, they will certainly make a serious penalty to the referees who miss calling a foul on that clear foul.

There are already plenty of speculation in the past that refs are manipulating the game, if you are familiar with Tim Donaghy, you will understand that NBA is not clean.

Yes, Tim was also involved in a controversy before because the FBI found out that he also bet in some NBA games, including those games he officiated, so that’s clearly making the league rigged. However, with this another controversy on hand, which I believed has started to ruin the reputation of NBA as news have spread fast online, then the NBA Management should do some actions that will resolved this scandal and will put this controversy at peace. And might as well penalized the referee that has caused this mess.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 30, 2023, 06:54:50 PM
Is this bout already inked? Because I'm not seeing any news that both camps have already reached a deal and decide to make the fight happen in Saitama, Japan where their profits will be maximized and both camps will surely benefit from it. If so, I will be surprised that Al Haymon didn't even try to react as that's what I am expecting from him right from the start because Fulton is with PBC.
No, I don't think it's in the paper just yet but the source of the said agreement came from a reliable reporter on ESPN Mike Coppinger so I doubt this will be changed. No date set yet but the venue will be most likely in Japan and like you said it's a good thing to maximize the profits.
As for Al Haymon, well Mayweather said he is "the ghost" so maybe he is ghosting this one.  Cheesy

Although Naoya Inoue might become the favorite here, the Twitter trend seems to be equal in fanbase as half of the boxing fans are also on Fulton's side.
It's a long wait, let's see what will come up in the next few months.

Yes, both have agreed to 122-pound title bout as this will take place sometime in May but the date is not set yet. Well, this would be another exciting fight as Inoue and Fulton would face the toughest fight of their boxing career. It does not matter if Inoue would be the favorite and Fulton will be the underdog, what matters is how these two perform inside the ring. If the fight would finally take place in Japan, then Inoue would have a quite advantage i guess as it’s obviously his own landmark.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 25 in Saudi Arabia on: January 30, 2023, 06:22:07 PM

Wouldn’t surprise me if Fury pulls out again. His girlfriend is due to have her baby soon, not that he needs an excuse to run away from a fight Wink

I have this feeling that he will pull out again, or he will be motivated because of his girlfriend's condition, some boxers are motivated to fight even when their wives or girlfriends are dues, they want to prove something that they are successful when their baby comes out.
Jake Paul is on the winning run and I don't see him losing to a fighter like Tommy Fury, Tommy is not Tyson Fury he is not even half of his power and skill, I just hope he is man enough to finally face Jake Paul even if he has slim chance of winning.
I guess this time Fury will be more motivated to fight as pulling out again will only ruin his reputation, and this would be a good opportunity to prove himself that he’s better than any boxer just like Jake Paul. However, looking at how these two perform in the ring, I think my vote is for Jake Paul as he is always undefeated and you will really see that he got high discipline and high determination to win. Although Tommy Fury is a decent fighter too, like what Tyson keep on saying, but I can see that Paul has its advantage over Tommy inside the ring.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 30, 2023, 08:13:25 AM
The Possibility is always there and by the thing, on how Lebron James is playing right now he is like at his prime I think this is because of his goal, he is really eager in getting that and right now he is 158 points away from Kareem Abdul Jabbar's All-time NBA points leader, and I think this is motivating Lebron James to do what he can in getting that record, and I think for Lakers in getting Bronny James I think this will keep Lebron James in getting motivated and giving his son a championship ring, I think what Lebron James needed right now is just motivation and the Lakers will give it to him,
Well, I don't know if LeBron James is in his prime, but I have no doubt that he is living a great moment in his life, because he is going through several important moments, for example, his possible retirement (I believe that maybe in 3 or 5 years he may retire, this is not real, just my assumption), LJ is winning several records, he is also having a not very good time in the Lakers (although he is scoring in several games), and also I have no doubt that he is analyzing and preparing (or at least helping) Bronny to enter the NBA, depending on the situation I have no doubt that LJ will also intend to do everything to get Bryce into the NBA in the future (which in my opinion has had a great evolution recently).

Despite of the controversial play, I do think Lebron James is still living in his prime as he remains as one of those steadiest players in the basketball game. Though we may see lapses on how he play, and some even hate him for that, but let’s us all think that we won’t live our career all in glory, sometimes even the best players in the century became unable to give their best shots. And as for his eldest son, we all know the Bronny James is set to follow his father’s footprints, that’s why Lebron James is also motivating him for that.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Medical student wins lottery 5 times after embezzling graduation funds on: January 29, 2023, 09:39:25 PM
If she's old enough which I believe she is, then nothing should stop her from going to jail, she's a criminal and should be treated as one, if it was her money or maybe her school fees she's lost through gambling, then I believe this wouldn't be a case at all, but gambling with public funds is way too extreme and one that must not be swept under the carpet, she should be made to serve as an example to those who might want to try the same thing in the future and hope to get away with it.
200,000 dollars is no small amount of money, and I can't imagine how many of the parents who went through hell to make sure they get this money to pay for their ward, this is an act that shouldnt be encouraged In our society.
I really feel sorry for the school and the students, this would probably be the worst graduation ceremony that school will have in their record, I hope they get through it..
Maybe she’s mature enough seeing how far she have got embezzling all those funds all for her selfish desires. That student must probably be facing gambling addiction and she can’t control anymore her actions and decisions that made this whole mess up. I felt sorry for all her colleagues that they went through all of this because of an irresponsible student. If she can’t be put in jail, then she should be given proper sanction that will leave her a very big lesson not to do the same mistake again.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: January 29, 2023, 09:19:38 PM
In our present generation none that I can think of, we are living in a gender equality generation, if men can do it women can do it too, and if women can do it, men can do it also, it's not also profitable or will it gain attention if a sport specifically targets a specific gender, in our new generation, all sports are open to any gender, it used to be boxing and weightlifting for men but this category or sports have been conquered by women also.
I must say all gambling games at the moment can be equally played both by men and women. Gone are the days where men would only excel, and women are only left at homes watching their kids. This time, everyone is free to participate in sports games as long as they can be qualified for it. Because if men can do wresting, well women too have their own version when it comes to wresting. Even in car or motor racing games, women are also entitled to join as long as they have the skills for it. Even in beauty pageants, men and women can both participate now as there are searches for mr and ms now, unlike before that it used to be for single women out there.
1377  Other / Off-topic / Re: Here are the Top 5 Reasons of Why I Hate Banks. on: January 29, 2023, 08:58:20 PM
Actually, 3 of them are flawed since they depend on where you live.

Where I live the most popular banks are available 24/7 via website or app, and you can do there all or nearly all operations that way. I don't remember the last time I went to a bank office, because I do things like updating my personal documents online too. Issues arise very rarely and my experience with customer support has been great. And the banks have zero fee instant transactions for payments inside the bank and only 0.5% to other banks in the country. This is on the Visa/Mastercard network, there's also an option to use direct bank transactions which also works online, may take longer but the fees are capped, so this is a usual method for large transactions.

So 4 out of 5 problems are not inherent to banks, but rather a lack of quality services in general. Only the problem of control and trust can't be solved. And for most people that problem is not big enough to convince them to switch to Bitcoin with all its inconveniences.
Yes, I would agree to that. Despite of the negative impressions we had on banks, I cannot say that they’re all totally sucks. At least, in some banks here, they offer good customer services which will make the customers keep coming back. But when it comes to being centralized, that thing alone always discourage me from trusting banks. The fact they will always rely in the government as banks are government controlled, so there are high possibility that all our transactions too are monitored by the government, and whatever we do against them, we can always be traceable. That’s the biggest reason why I start loving the idea of bitcoin and hate banks instead.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Success is fundamentally determined by luck, not effort. on: January 29, 2023, 08:44:45 PM
If you want success, it takes hard work or effort to get on the right track and with luck coming your way, you can achieve that success in no time. But there is still an effort to start everything because if you just sit back and do nothing, luck will come to you for a long time.

We should focus on what we are doing and try as best and as hard as we can and then let it run itself and don't forget always to pray because this is the most important factor.
Do not just wait for luck alone, work for it and with patience and persistency too, you will be successful in time because of your hardwork and luck working hand in hand. But make it a habit too to keep praying anywhere and everywhere because if you pray and work, it will always come to you as quickly as you want it to be as long as God sees you’ll benefit from it. Because even how hardwork you are and how lucky you are, as long as it’s never meant for you, it will never be given to you.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hit And Run Gambling - Can The House Be Beaten This way? on: January 28, 2023, 09:59:21 PM
Yes that's a strategy to beat casino but with extreme low probability that is not paid with high enough reward (poor risk/reward ratio) so its not the strategy that can be used for anyone because on average 60 out of 100 will not even double before loosing everything. So its not like every person who starts wins and only those who stays long enough in casino are losing. Some lose everything without being in a profit even a penny. It's a myth that new gamblers (first time in a casino) are luckier than others.

Casino is a place to have fun and feel extreme emotions. Not a place to easily win first million.
I agree. Those scenarios did beat the casino but if you come to think of it, it’s rare to happen that if you just got lucky and earn thousands of dollars while your are starting gambling, you will just walk away outside casino instead of playing more to chase more profits and to chase more of your luck. Some even end up lose everything they have won because their urge to gamble becomes uncontrollable. That proves that at the end of the day, it’s always the casino that keeps an edge over the players.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this safe to say this about casino platforms on: January 28, 2023, 09:39:25 PM
If a casino has proof of solvency, that's a decent indication of the amount of funds they have on hand to pay out players at any moment in time, in theory.

This is only possible with crypto.
While this is a guarantee that casino can sustain paying its winners because they have enough resources of funds, but it cannot give an assurance that the casino will always be successful and will always be at the edge of other casinos. Because even if the casino has high proof of solvency, if the market strategies are not working at all, I don’t think it will be sustainable in the next few years to come.
