2283  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Free Bitcoins @ CoinLearn.org = Learning + Earning on: January 29, 2014, 10:08:41 AM
Hey, this is a great way to reply one post in 2 parts to increase the post count.

Not really for that reason lol. I Just want to separate the two issues.
One is about the your suspicion / misunderstanding (off-topic issue).
And, the other is about the site CoinLearn.

2284  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for 1000 BTC loan TODAY! on: January 29, 2014, 10:01:43 AM
The biggest loan was probably also the biggest scam, back in 2011 people would loan out amounts in excess of 100 btc very easily.

Many runners took this opportunity to make free bitcoins.

100btc was not a lot back then  Smiley
2285  Economy / Gambling / Re: A profitable betting system!!! on: January 29, 2014, 09:58:08 AM

2290  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia warns against using bitcoins on: January 29, 2014, 09:14:51 AM
Isn't BTC-e located in Russia?

Nope. Bulgaria. Though who actually controls it, nobody really knows .....

We know nothing about the company background, and the owners, even if it is one of the largest bitcoin exchange in the world.
2291  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Aliexpress - Deal or no Deal? on: January 29, 2014, 09:11:32 AM
So, really, AliExpress is exactly the same as eBay then?

pretty much so.
2292  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Aliexpress on: January 29, 2014, 09:05:10 AM
i just had a bad experience w/sinosigma. legit seller but no commitment to shipping timeframe.

and time is the crucial factor in mining...
2293  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: is Cryptocloudex.com a scam? on: January 29, 2014, 08:58:59 AM

Are you suggesting OP to buy the hardware in that thread?
According to the relies in that thread, it seems not a good idea....
2294  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Solution to BTC rising diff - Create more SHA256 Alts? on: January 29, 2014, 08:57:19 AM
I agree. So many shitty coins have now been created. The good coins get overlooked. Checkout GOATCoin (has nothing to do with goats btw), we have an amazing concept behind it but have been overlooked due to the huge amount of pump and dump coins being created

After having cat and dog, we now have goat lol. Tongue

Care to explain briefly what make your coin different from all those shitty coins?
2295  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Hasher Technologies on: January 29, 2014, 08:53:06 AM
I pulled the IP from the e-mail sent to me by these guys and ran it:

Host name: 209.85.215.54
IP address: 209.85.215.54
Location: Quilpué, CHILE

the guy told me he was in Utah.

So we have a company that claims to do business in Missouri, but isn't registered there.  Is backed by some group in California, but isn't registered there either.  Does not show up in the UL listings and is corresponding through an agent with a gmail address that claims to be in Utah, but the IP address shows as in South America.

You be the judge.  I would hold onto my bitcoins.......

Sounds very much like to scam.
Thanks for the heads up. Smiley
2296  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Sort of new here, need some help. on: January 29, 2014, 08:49:30 AM
Whoever is paying the electricity will definitely notice the bill, and you should plan your "wasn't me" face accordingly  Wink

Just run extension cord from your neighbor's house. Jk

lol.
Still, you better prepare the "wasn't me" face Tongue
2297  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: cgMiner "Best Share" on: January 29, 2014, 08:47:46 AM
old post but great explanation

Quite agree, couldn't work it out until I came across this. But today the difficulty is 2.19G? That's massive... Never never ever solve a block at this rate!

and that's why we have pools  Wink
2298  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Cpu mining question on: January 29, 2014, 08:47:00 AM
Hi I have downloaded the file and confiure it in my setting but it still showing error can you help me on this

What kind of error are you having?
2299  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Getting most as a low Ghs miner on: January 29, 2014, 08:44:01 AM
I would point your 12gh/s over to cex.io for the merged mining. Doesn't affect your btc mining rate but you get to clock up some alt sha-256 coins too

There's also bitparking, a good merge mining pool that has been around for ages.

Bitparking is good with merged mining, but the variance is high due to low pool hashrate...
2300  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: stop mining at ghash.io you FUCKTARDS on: January 29, 2014, 08:40:28 AM
6.05PH/s of hashrate are still mining at ghash now, despite their terrible reliability, the 8/77 block reject rate last week, and their currently 5/100 reject rate right now

They should be mining 2.3 blocks/hour but in the middle of this all they had the following run, with 2 rejected blocks

Quote
an hour, an hour, an hour, an hour, 38 mins, an hour, 3 hours, an hour, an hour, an hour, 17 mins

Why the reject rate is that high recently?
I didn't recall such bad situation previously in ghash.io...
