2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 01, 2021, 07:45:53 PM
My assumption is that the issues between BCB and some of the senior players are having a huge impact on the team morale. Latest news is that the BCB is not allowing Shakib al Hasan to participate in the IPL. I don't know whether this is true or not. But in case it is true, then it can be very demoralizing. After all, for a player of the calibre of Shakib, IPL can be the most important revenue generator. And it's not like he's ignoring the national duty. He is making himself available all the time.
The problems with the BCB and Shakib Al Hasan is not new and there was a hurdle which was an unwanted news headline for getting the permission to play the IPL as Bangladesh has scheduled a Test series in the following months and his request to play the IPL made some confusions for some in the board and i guess it is sorted by now as he is currently in India preparing for the IPL.
2282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's 100k bubble may not burst ??? on: April 01, 2021, 05:27:02 PM
The drop can be sooner than mid next year IMO. Taking the scene of 2017 bull , it didn't last the whole year before the cirrection started , it went down to bear. Bitcoin went this high because of covid-19 fears and many investors pushed money to bitcoin. So I think with the vaccine, there will be reduction of cases and confidence may return to the way things were. Some investors are not enthusiasts, so they may cash out anytime there is a little correction and that can cause drop.
Even if i accept that the price of BTCitcoin rallied this much because of the pandemic you cannot expect the market to return back to normal even if the vaccines are mass produced because the damage that has done to the economy is really high and most of the government were pumping money into the market which is not the best way to counter these and it can cause inflation in the long run. If your argument of panic buying is the main cause then that situation will relevant for the coming years as well.

My point of view is that many investors will book their profit and the major rally in the market is supported by institutional investors and it has nothing to do with the pandemic with the way they were investing and once they start booking the profit we might see a major correction.
2283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kraken founder Jesse Powell mentioned Polkadot as next ETH on: March 31, 2021, 10:00:24 PM
On an interviews of Kraken going public, Kraken talked about Polkadot. Although he didn’t directly said Polkadot is the next Ethereum. He said, "Polkadot is the next Ethereum, many people think."
What do you think? Will Polkadot be able to replace Ethereum or Ethereum will be there and more powerful with the ETH 2.0?
Which means every exchange has their favorites, Kraken is looking at Polkadot and Binance and CZ is advertising their chain as well, so there is too much competition with high profiles influencers trying to promote the chain they think is best for them and the ETH 2.0 upgrade is talked about for a very long time and since i see the end results i cannot make any conclusive decisions whether the upgrade will make any changes at all.

Jon Jones and his coach are really pushing for next fight with Francis Ngannou and they  even think Jones would finish him.
Jones has much less weight and muscles than Ngannou and I can't see him as better fighter no matter how much muscles he puts on.
Ngannou improved so much in past months and he is a like a rock.
Fighting is not having huge muscles and rock hard body, these huge muscles will burn more oxygen and they will burn out within two rounds and  Francis Ngannou is nothing special in that regard. Jon Jones is not known to be a knockout fighter who looks for one big punch but he always wins fight because of his tactical approach and he always fights different with each opponent and hence no one can figure his fighting style and so is the reason Jon Jones is still undefeated and regarded as the best in the history of MMA.
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING POLL ADDED] FURY vs JOSHUA: A Two Fight Deal Has Already Been Signed !! on: March 29, 2021, 09:57:39 PM
His father looks like him, so he probably know.
His dad John Fury is one hell of a character as well, he was in some of the television shows talking about the Wilder fight as part of promoting and the way he talks is funny and he knows everything about boxing as he was an underground king during his hay days.

No date and no venue yet because they are still finalizing but once its finalize, the fighters are obliged to fight because they sign a contract. Maybe the revenue expected is not gonna be huge due to the pandemic, but he is telling that Fury should fight with or without AJ, I guess that's wrong, why not just fight AJ with a lower purse if their expectation will not be meet?
I think the Saudi's are offering a good purse to shift the fight to Saudi and they are probably looking for a venue in London as they know they can make a lot of money and the PPV buys alone will give them millions in profit. The negotiations in boxing usually sucks as both the promoters always want the bigger purse and so is the reason these big fights take a longer time to sign the contract.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 28, 2021, 09:32:31 PM
Ngannou looked so big and scary compared to Miocic and there was no question about his win but I sometimes wonder is he using some steroids Smiley
People will be scared to jump in cage with him and UFC Dana White will have a hard time finding fighters who will challenge him and my prediction is athat Jon Jones would not survive first round standing.
The fight against Jon Jones will be the biggest fight in MMA and like everyone i would love to see the match up between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones and Dana White was downplaying and saying that after seeing the knockout Jon Jones will be debuting at Middle Weight and Jones was fast to respond in social media asking to show the money and he is ready to face him. I am hoping that they would reach an agreement and give the fans the show.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 28, 2021, 05:16:00 PM
India won the match by 7 runs. As I posted earlier, if the target was 10-15 runs lower, then England had a chance. All credit to Natarajan, who bowled an exceptional 50th over. Sam Curran batted exceptionally, but in the end he ran out of partners. The series ends for England, and they have lost in all the three formats. Test series by 1-3, T20I series by 2-3, and the ODI series by 1-2. But there are definitely some positives to take away.
With the run rate India had i thought they fell short of 30 odd runs and the match became really close with Sam Curran playing the innings of his life time, even though he produced some great performance in the IPL he never did that kind of performance in the England colors and this was an outstanding innings when their top order failed and the last three overs from India was spot on and India winning all the formats.
2288  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like India is perhaps serious about banning cryptocurrency on: March 28, 2021, 02:05:58 PM
India is like other government that has their own rules and know how to handle their economy , the sad part here is that most of those who posts don't even come from india but acting as if they are affected of the issue  Grin
The problem with the current union government is that they are trying to implement their own rules rather than following the legislation. If you look at their past performance you can clearly say that they have no idea about economics, if not we will not see blunders like demonetization and the way GST was implemented says a lot about their vision.

For us, this is no laughing matter. It is a matter of life and death.
Life and death matter  Grin. It is just passive and there are other options even if an extreme step is taken by the government.
2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 28, 2021, 10:50:42 AM
India wasted a big opportunity after the 100+ runs opening partnership, so far all 4 wicket fell against the spinners but this time no front line spinner in the Indian squad. Gone are the days when Indian batsmen were almost invincible against the spinners. Now Pant-Pandaya against the spinners, this should be fun for the audience.
India is cruising at a good run rate of over 7 but they lost 5 wickets and Pandya brothers are in the crease and 13 more overs left for the match and they need to build a huge partnership if India needs to win as England is also in tremendous form and they has the team to chase any score and anything below 360 runs England will chase them easily .

Will join the pool this week Smiley.

~
Tyron Woodley lost another fight, he started aggressively but he was caught flush throwing punches and his legs gave out and then Vicente Luque was able to choke him out. Abubakar Nurmagomedov won the fight and Sean O'Malley had a good fight as well.

DAMN Francis Ngannou knocks out Miocic
Tyron Woodley was always known to involve in boring fights but in this fight it was a good first round and Tyron Woodley did not fight safely and hence it was the fight of the night and Vicente Luque came out on top and this might be the last fight for Tyron Woodely in the UFC as this is the 4th consecutive loss.

@Bttzed03 exactly Stipe Miocic had a great chin in the first round and the moment Ngannou stuffed the take down it was over and Stipe Miocic rushed in even though he was hurt and you cannot take much from Francis Ngannou.

2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 27, 2021, 11:49:50 PM
But there is also some concern with the captain as well because he keeps repeating the spinners when they are going for too many runs, Bhuvi should come earlier when stokes targeting the spinners and also this match proves why the 6th bowling option is important.
The ODI series decider is today and England will be looking to win the match and series as they had a disappointing tour loosing the Test series and T20 series and if they could win this match they could win one series and the trouble with India is that the England batsman are playing well against the Indian spinners and they are struggling to control the run flow.

I expect Yuzvendra Chahal will be back in the team and Washington Sundar to replace Krunal Pandya.
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 27, 2021, 11:01:46 PM
Even i am also expecting a much better take down defense from Francis Ngannou as he was waiting for this rematch for over 3 years and he will be looking for kicks when he tries to shoot for a take down. If Francis Ngannou wins it will be a quick fight and the more the fight goes Stipe Miocic will cement his legacy as the greatest Heavyweight.
Francis Ngannou might have drilled take down defense in practice sessions many times but he never had the opportunity to test that in a real fight and we have no idea nor Francis Ngannou will be having any idea how he would perform if the fight goes to the second or third round because he is smoking fighters within a round.

My picks for this card are Michal Oleksiejczuk, Miranda Maverick, Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Vicente Luque.
Tyron Woodley should win this fight if not he will be released as he is on a loosing streak and i might bet on Abubakar Nurmagomedov as he is from the same camp of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
2293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another NFT sold for huge $$$ ' A column of New York Times on: March 27, 2021, 07:54:17 PM
Does it really worth it to spend so much on an online art? Don't get me wrong, I do love some unique art and mostly love the idea of having them on blockchain but the way the price of the NFT's are being inflated is a bit surprising to me, I guess choice of what is valuable is quite different.
Even i am confused with the amount of money they are able to raise with these digital art, if it was reasonable amount then i could understand but some of these contents are getting millions and i will not think about spending that much to hold something digitally which will not fetch any resale value until you find someone who is much more crazier than you to purchase that Cheesy.
2294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Elon Musk theory on: March 27, 2021, 02:11:32 PM
The DOGE coin was created for fun, the creator did not hope for its such success, when Elon Musk began to get acquainted with the cryptocurrency market, he decided to also promote the "joke" coin, I think so!
The coin was created as a meme but it started gaining momentum when they sponsored a rally car tournament and everyone supported them by donating the coins and no one expected it to rally to astronomical high valuations and Elon Musk is trolling the entire market by supporting Doge and he was doing that for a few years and he was able to move the market whenever he tweets.

If the developers update everything in time then it will be great.

Nkrumah Bonner is still in the crease. These players have funny names  Cheesy.
Yeah there are some funny names in cricket and if you look at the England players funny names (Cook, Buttler and they have Root) you will understand from where they got that hook, may be commonwealth connection  Cheesy.
Quinton De Cock , Bonner and hardik hahaha
Hardik and Pant are the funniest name in the Indian team and Hardik got some heat when he explained about his name in Karan Johar show and he got suspended by the BCCI and he lost some lucrative contracts from advertisers as well. So much for a name (Hard dick) and people cannot understand comedy and fun Grin.

Both team fought hard and tried their best. If it was Ashes match, everyone would have gone gaga over this already.
It was a really good match, the reason why everyone is not going gaga was i only watched the highlights and so does majority of the cricket fans Cheesy.
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my gripe with the term "crash" on: March 26, 2021, 07:21:00 PM
Every drop has been to some whale cashing out, so in what sense is this or any event like this ever a crash, this is a supply and demand, a crash is a critical error of the system! I am just fed up of watching you tubers saying there is a massive crash, no its a massive market correction people, The term crash imply  there is something  fundamentally wrong with the algorithm (like a 51% attack) and should seriously worry about our investment choices.
A crash does not imply having a fundamental problem in the system, the meaning itself has the answer, any sudden drastic change to the value of 20% and above can be termed as a crash and it can happen due to many reason, when huge investors booking their profit and we know that billions are invested in a short period of time by huge investors and they can create a panic selling once they book their profit and the market could correct to the range of around or over 20%.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 26, 2021, 05:58:31 PM
Kuldeep seems to losing his marbles and his confidence going down the drain, his place is not fixed in the any playing XI and he keep traveling with the squad. It would be good if he spend some time in domestic arena so that he can gets some match practice and wickets.

The carnage we witnessed today, it seemed like Indians were 50-70 runs short lol
Kuldeep Yadav is in and out of the team and even when he is in the squad he will not get all the matches and he is lacking match practice, he should be allowed to play domestic season to sharp his bowling but today the England batsman were brutal to every bowler as they were clearing the boundary with ease and unless you have two good bowlers there it is a difficult task to defend any score especially with a batting lineup like England.
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee & Crypto Scam on: March 25, 2021, 11:44:28 PM
The dude's genius is wasted by his ego and drugs. He was a good advocate for crypto before 2017 and it all went downhill from there.

John McAfee as a businessman has already sold his company a couple of decades ago and then the cryptocurrency market gave him a second leash to become mainstream and the attention he was looking for and a way to make money and he took advantage of the situation and scammed a lot of people by promoting scam projects and vouching for them and since had a tech background people would trust his words and he exploited that to his advantage.

Not a good news for English team. Their middle order was already struggling now England skipper Eoin Morgan is also out from the ODI series due to hand injury.
England is having injury issues and with Eoin Morgan out of the series and the reports are that Liam Livingstone will be making his debut along with Dawid Malan.

For India Shreyas Iyer is out of the tournament as well as for the IPL as he injured his shoulders and it will take months for recovery.

Maybe a blessing in disguise for the England team. So far Eoin Morgan has played 6 matches in the Indian tour (5 T20Is and 1 ODI) and his highest score is 28. His poor form was one of the reasons why they struggled after getting so many good starts. Dawid Malan was really good in the T20 series, and I guess he will be able to boost the English batting in the remaining matches. Also, Liam Livingstone is a promising young player.
Might be, we can judge after the conclusion of the series. You cannot put the entire blame on Morgan for their middle order struggle, everyone was struggling even though they have one of the strongest teams in papers they are yet to showcase that in the series.

Last month they chased down the mammoth target of 390+ against the Bangladesh (In Bangladesh on turning track) so I won't count Windies out of the game, yet. Who knows if Double centurion Kyle Mayers pull something out from his hat again or may be someone else. Result could go anywhere, all we need some sort of fightback from the players and voila another fine test result.
It is possible that we are witnessing another big run chase as West Indies needs 192 runs more to win the match and they have 8 wickets in hand and 34 overs left for the match and it is a tight situation and i would like to see whether they will go for the win or look for a draw and with the way they are pacing the innings they are not looking for a win.

Kyle Mayers just lost his wicket, Nkrumah Bonner is still in the crease. These players have funny names  Cheesy.
