People are becoming more intelligent already that is why scam cases are reducing every year.
Still I don't know how but I believe that investors are becoming more intelligent than they are a few years ago where scams are everywhere from ICO to DeFi to IEO's etc.
Yet you see many scams in the space, including impersonators and generally the new investors will fall for these scams.

Investors know already which are scam and which are not though there are still some who are still falling into some common ways to scam them, they are learning from it thus we see scamming cases going down every year which is a good thing Smiley. Still we need to inform those newbie investors and let them know which projects are scams and which are not.
There are many who wants to take a chance thinking that it would make them a fortune and that is what the scammers are trying to take advantage. If you look at some of the projects that rallied which includes a dozen meme coins where the developers are unknown and if you take this general step of identifying the team then you will not invest in those projects and yet they are some of the most rallied projects.

Even projects with a well written vision, they will not succeed and these things are a normal scenario in the cryptocurrency space and when you invest in an unregulated market where scams are not monitored, you will see scammers having their merry time and that includes projects with a great paper but fail to convert them into reality.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Whyte on: March 31, 2022, 10:11:18 PM

Probably the fight will be very much entertaining as we are soon to witness a great fighter who is always defending his incredible unbeaten record that makes Fury the crowd's favorite bet. But not to mention Whyte as he is been doing great too in the boxing arena and to think that he admitted that he has dropped Fury on multiple occasions in a sparring session, well this fight will prove it all. And the rematch of Joshua and Usyk will add another highlight too on the said event.
Dillian Whyte and his team is spreading the idea of Tyson Fury being dropped by him during sparring sessions and even if that is the case and these news are true, i doubt Dillian Whyte will be able to touch him in the fight. Fighters like Wladimir Klitschko nor Deontay Wilder who i think is the biggest puncher in the division was not able to keep Tyson Fury down and it is naïve to think that Dillian Whyte would be able to land clean strikes.

Unless there are consequences for what Will Smith did then I am never going to believe this was real, after all they are actors, they would have trained doing something like it hundreds of times so it is obvious they could make it seem as real as possible since that is their job, so unless the Academy takes Will Smith’s Oscar and Chris Rock sues him for millions and millions of dollars then there is nothing that will change my mind this was staged.
Initially i thought it was part of the act, but it is not and hence got the media coverage it got. Will Smith smacked Chris Rock for a comedy and he was also laughing at the joke until he saw his wife's reaction as the joke was directed to his wife. But to go out there are smack him in the face when the global audience is watching is outrageous and they should have taken his award right then without presenting to him.

If it was an act they would have conveyed it and not make a controversy out of as the academy is getting all the heat for not taking action against Will Smith.

The target was very low. RCB should have won easily by batting for only 128 runs. But their performance was very poor. David Willy scored only 18 runs off 28 balls. Rutherford made 28 off 40 balls. The players had to be more professional. If they perform in this way, they will not be able to qualify for the top 4 teams in the points table. Batsmen should bat more responsibly.
The wicket was helping the bowlers and it was a great game of Cricket as the match went till the last over even though RCB was chasing a really low total and at one point i thought Kolkata Knight Riders could pull off the victory when Tim Southee picked some crucial wickets. Looks like Andre Russell is injured and if so it is a big loss for KKR in this tournament as he is an integral part of KKR.
1325  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: DUBAI LICENSES BINANCE AND FTX on: March 27, 2022, 08:20:56 PM
I don't know about FTX but Binance has been kicked around by a whole lot of countries in recent years, so this could be an attempt to regain users which had been lost when they were banned in other countries.
Dubai is changing its face and welcoming all the cryptocurrency projects and it is a good sign and we could see many cryptocurrency projects shifting over to Dubai as their head office and i personally know a couple of projects that moved completely to Dubai and the reception they are getting.
As part of the Expo, they are even conducted a Crypto Expo where 100s of crypto related companies participated in the event and it is not a big surprise that Dubai licensed Binance and FTX and expect more crypto related companies to shift over to Dubai as they will give all the facilities for these start ups.

Hey guys it was a lucky day for me. Locked the winning of Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in a comfortable manner. The outcome of both the matches were the same as my prediction. Both were tough match, and the end turned all of the sudden from a narrow win towards a comfortable win. With the Punjab match once after the wicket of Livingstone I thought it is the day of Royal Challengers Bangalore. But things happened different with the performance of Odean Smith.
It is a great prediction, it is impossible to predict even if you are wagging live in the final 5 overs that Delhi Capitals could win the match nor Punjab Kings would chase a total of 205 runs. Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel changed the match upside down for Delhi Capitals and it was a great knock by Axar Patel and this is the first time i am watching Odean Smith bat and Punjab Kings have a match winner at hands which could change many matches in this tournament.

I'd support the decision to go POS. POW is going to be a controversial topic for crypto in the future and for a sustainable utility coin, it would be better to be environment friendly. POS are not any less secure than POW and with the whole team involved, it would maintain it's trust. The only thing bothering it is it's slow blockchain, I don't see it improving a lot even if they introduced shradding as the chain is already one of the heaviest.
If you look at the fundamental flaw of POS where a few will have majority control over the network, it is not going to be sustainable in the long term. We are behind BTCitcoin because of its decentralization and not because a few can have majority control over others. It might take some time for the general public to understand its flaw but the idea of POW is a controversial topic is just ignoring the fundamentals.

Weight could really make out such difference between on a fight and their difference is huge basing up on how heavy Jake is even though he do lacks experience and skills but one solid hit or punch could make
the outcome to be different on what the public was expecting thats why i dont really believe much that it would really push through and i do agree that Conor wont really be that interested
considering that he would really be pursuing another fight even though he's on the verge on healing up his legs.
Lets assume that Dana White would allow Jake Paul to fight in the UFC against Conor McGregor with mixed rules like we saw recently in OneFC with Demetrious Johnson and  Rodtang Jitmuangnon who is a Muay Thai legend with where 1st and third round was Muay Thai and second and fourth round was MMA rules. Even in that scenario i bet that Jake Paul will defeat Conor McGregor considering he is a good boxer and he is a good wrestler and then the weight difference will be a major factor.

Gold is far from being the most expensive metal per unit of weight. Gold is simply the most common store of value among metals because it's not in high demand for any industry and its supply hits the sweet spot where it isn't too common and easily found, but also not too scarce so a lot of people can own it.
Gold is a store of value for centuries and millennium and many of the kings viewed it as a benchmark for wealth and prosperity. Gold is high in demand as a store of value and in times of inflation, investors will jump into gold to store their value than investing in any other volatile market.

Bitcoin is an entirely different story. It's simply the best coin, because it has the highest PoW, the biggest community, the highest adoption, and its core goal is to be secure and decentralized, while its competitors have abandoned this goal, and it comes to bite them back when they get hacked or attacked.
The reason you see majority of the investment coming into the cryptocurrency space is simply because of the hype and not because they researched about the fundamentals and i am saying this simply because there is no reason why some of the shit coins rallied will not making any sense Wink. The reason is that money is flowing where there is a hype and not looking at the fundamentals.
1330  Economy / Economics / Re: online skills in the face of war on: March 27, 2022, 03:31:59 PM
I was thinking within me and my thoughts was if  everyone needs to get a digital skill in-spite of their profession or discipline. looking at it from the angle of declining economies where political, societal, ethnic, cultural, religious, territorial and economic war is hitting the apex as well as currency devaluation. Following this high level of declining economy is it best to get a digital skill either as a full time business or a complementary pay check.
If you really think that your profession is not paying you enough then it is time to rethink your career prospects. In the future many jobs that we do right now will not be available, that is another story in itself but to say that your current job is not paying you well and you need to find a side job is not a good view of things on a professional level. But acquiring new skills is always a good thing.

My local TV channel does not broad cast IPL. I want to know more about IPL and what exciting is going to happen.
Please keep us updated here. Or if there is anyway we can check online. Which is the best platform to keep a track of the IPL. Looking Fwd.
You can track the match from ESPN Cricinfo. Check whether you are able to watch using any streaming site. I am able to watch by purchasing a subscription from Disney Hotstar, check for alternatives whether you will be able to get any subscription service to watch the match.

Mumbai Indians is on route to win the match. Delhi Capitals is loosing wickets and there is no way they will be able to win the match from this situation.

Edit: Delhi Capitals won the match, never say never in the IPL  Shocked.

This match is heart breaking for India team and supporters. That no ball in crucial time changed the entire situation. Well done to South Africa on a thrilling win. A breathtaking triumph for South Africa on the last ball, this implies devastated as well as satisfaction. South Africa's outcome affirmed West Indies place in the World Cup semi-finals. West Indies express profound gratitude to Indian women. There is a decent opportunity Australia will win this cup.
Another defeat for Indian Woman and now their World Cup dreams are over. The final over was really interesting and the no ball in the last over was crucial and turned the tides around. Full credits to South African woman for a wonderful chase, even when they were loosing wickets Mignon du Preez stood at one end to make sure she will be there till the end and a fully deserved victory and a lucky inclusion for West Indies woman in the semis .

Yeah, but me thinks that this sudden surge of price might not hold and I'm not feeling comfortable with it. It's better to have a steady and slow growth or a massive downturn and and slow recovery.

And so with the current movement, wherein someone is pumping it to even levels of $44k-$45k, we might be getting the traders to the edge and who knows, maybe they are going to be push over the edge in the next couple of months and will decided to sell just to make a quick money specially those who have invested when the price is below $40k.
I am also expecting a major sell out in the meantime by institutional investors who entered the market well before the halving and whenever we see a pump in the market i feel like they will be booking their profits and i really do not think that they will dump everything all of a sudden and they are booking their profits strategically. I am curious to see how long this push will continue before going for a correction and then repeating the same process over again.

True. At first, I thought that Pat Cummins was a complete idiot, after he declared with a lead of just 351 runs. The pitch was very flat and not offering much support for the bowlers. Somehow Nathan Lyon managed to bowl exceptionally and combined with some senseless batting display from the Pakistanis, they managed to win the match as well as the series. And the Pakistanis should be ashamed that they managed to lose the series despite preparing such substandard pitches. Next time hopefully they would refrain from going in to 100% defensive mode.
The funny aspect is that even though the pitch was flat, the Australian bowlers were able exploit reverse swing which was introduced to world Cricket by Pakistan legends and Australia was able to win the match and series.

England is struggling in the second innings as they already lost their 7th wicket and they are leading by just 7 runs and it looks like West Indies will win the match easily.

Which team is hot favourite for IPL - how is it going in India are people excited about IPL.
As far as I know PSL was very much like and admired by Pakistani cricket fans. I think the same spirit is seen for the IPL as well. Someone please tell me which team is favorite for win. Thanks
IPL is the biggest franchise tournament in Cricket and if that is the case you very well know the answer about the excitement as anyone who love Cricket will be engaged for a full month. There are two new teams added to the tournament and Chennai Super Kings in the defending champion but Mumbai Indians is the favorite all the time, other than that it is hard to predict which team will win the tournament.
1336  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 26, 2022, 06:00:45 PM
Although Jake Paul might be a good fighter I don't think he stands a chance against Conor McGregor.
Apart from that what is the point of this fight anyway ? Exhibition fights are losing interest from real sport supporters.
It has become more like an entertainment these days. I don't think this fight will happen anyway.
There is weight difference for a reason, Jake Paul is a much heavy fighter and he weighs around 190 to 200 pounds and Conor McGregor can weigh around 170 pounds at max and he was a fighter who was fighting at 145 pound division. There is no way Conor McGregor will stand a chance against Jake Paul.

The best fight the UFC can put together now is Conor McGregor who recently was arrested for dangerous driving and Jorge Masvidal who was arrested for smacking Colby Covington in the street and if UFC can hype that up they can create a huge fight Cheesy.

The BCCI is earning billions of USD as a result of media rights, sponsorship and gate collection. But that is not the case with some of the franchises. Many of them are still in loss. Anyway, the owners of these franchises are politicians, businessmen or film actors with no direct connection to cricket. They care only about money and therefore it is not very surprising to hear about occurrences of match fixing within the IPL. On top of that, illegal betting is a big curse in cricket and the decision to hold some of the IPL editions in UAE only added fuel to the fire.
lets have a clarity on this aspect, BCCI sells the media rights but the revenue is shared between the teams and it depends upon how many on air time they get which means the more games you play more the revenue and the revenue from media alone per season is 3,269 crore as per the reports.

Then there is brand sponsorship per team, then there is title sponsorship revenue and that is also shared between the teams and if you look at all the franchise teams everyone is in huge profits simply because of the high broadcasting revenue they are getting. So the idea of team owners participating in fixing is just ridiculous when they are earning the profit.

In franchise every play for himself just to make sure his stats are good so he gets handsome bid in the auction. There is limited concept of team in T20 league. There is so much money in IPL, the only way to recover that money is through fixing and other such means. There is no proof of this so no one can voice against it.
ICC T20 events are helpless in front of T20 leagues since ICC don't have that much money.
What a theory, do you really think that IPL is recovering the money through fixing and other things, do you have any idea about the broadcasting money they earn and the advertising revenue and the brand value is valued at $6.2 billion and you think that they need to manipulate to recover the money  Cheesy.

Any player sending any internal information outside the dressing room is an offence in any sport and it should be the same for the IPL or any franchise Cricket.

The Australian team took the risk, that's why they were able to win. Australia gave a target of 350 runs. It was not a big target. However, in the first innings, Australia declared their innings at 226 for Pakistan's poor batting. Even though Pakistan's top order played well in this innings, the middle order players could not bat responsibly. So they also failed to draw the match.
All the credits goes to Pat Cummins who as a captain has the confidence to go out there and take a chance and then to bowl his heart out and the rest of the bowlers joining him especially Nathan Lyon and i thought this match would end up in a draw as well but Pat Cummins took this game away from Pakistan and a successful tour of Pakistan for Usman Khawaja with the bat.

But there were times that ERC20 token transactions were no longer tolerable due to the fees that it projects, it seems too high and very discouraging to make transactions. Yet, there are still a lot of people that does the transaction because there is no option to make but to do sell those erc20 tokens that we have. If it's about saving fees, BSC is going to be the main choice of everyone.
I am holding a few tokens in ERC20 tokens for over a year and i really wanted to stake some of the tokens but the transaction fees are incredibly high that it wont be profitable enough to move those coins to stake and considering there is no fixed date on when these transaction charges will go down, it is not even profitable to spend that much money staking, i am sure there are many in that situation and basically stuck for over an year.
