England lost 5 wickets and still need 170 runs which implies that they are pretty much screwed. Looks like this series will end as 4 - 0.
The England batsman did not disappoint, they were true to their performance and they did not battle like they did in the last Test where they were able to draw and now they surrendered without much fight apart from the first wicket partnership Cheesy

~
England is still a good side, I am sure they can perform well against top teams like Pakistan, NZ, India etc. In Ashes, Australia came well prepared and it seems that they have some roadmap for this series which they followed well throughout the series. England on the other hand have zero prepration for this series.
India recently defeated them in their home soil and hence that speculation is pointless. They have a good ODI and T20 team but in Test, they do not have a solid player in the team who could bat for a longer period of time.

I will be surprised if Joe Root is still retain the captaincy after the disappointing performance in the Ashes.

Still, I am happy with my long term holding; I tried to multiply my bitcoins by selling around ATH and buying back at bottoms but not being good in technical analysis is making me not to act as per my plans.
You do not need to be an expert in technical analysis to understand these aspects. When you see the coin moving from below $10 to above $50k i sold a portion of my holdings as i never expected that kind of rally this year to be frank, i thought these valuations were possible during the next rally, but you will be surprised with the rally all the time even though i saw all the bull runs till now.

My next target was $75k but we are yet to reach that target this run, either way i am happy with the current rally and will take positions according to the market situation.
1523  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: North Korean Hackers Stole Nearly $400 Million in Crypto Last Year on: January 16, 2022, 05:26:13 PM
It appears ethereum and erc-20 tokens are Kim Jong's favorite crypto:
It may be easier to hack ERC 20 wallets and hence the Kim Jong's army is taking advantage of that loophole and doing their business of looting others as there is no other global trade they are conducting with other countries Cheesy. North Korea stole $400 million in cryptocurrency last year, what about the over all hacks that happened in the market. I am sure it will be over a billion dollars and some of the hacks were questionable including the Polygon hack.

I also came through this news but ignored it. Don't know what makes Raja propose such plan, when India has strictly refused to play with Pakistan due to political reasons. Also CA plan to visit Pakistan in March is sceptical. In such situation it looks funny that PCB chairman has proposed such plan, lets see what other boards say about this.
The PCB is open about their plan and they are welcoming a series with India, how the politicians will allow that is a different story and if they play it is one of the biggest viewed matches globally and the fans are deprived of watching these high profile matches for decades.

After hearing some of the post match shows during the Ashes, i do not think the tour of Pakistan is skeptical, everyone is open to that tour including the players and it is possible it will carry on as planned if everything goes well.

And yes it is risky if you store all your money in stable coin there are still many people doubt of stable coins so it is better to store your money in the bank.
The risk is real, you never know when these so called stable currencies will get into trouble. Even i will be holding stable coins for the short term when i am trading but i am not confident enough to hold them for a long term. Most of the time i am holding USDT in TRC20 network because of lower fees and the other one i use is BUSD because of the lower fees obviously and it is easier to move to metamask for other BEP 20 transactions.

Only because of some nutjob trolls? By this means Jadeja/Raina should have taken some decisions too. they were attacked in similar fashion as Shami (if no one remember then you guys must be following only one type of news). I humbly suggest that avoid these type of BS in social media.
The problems are much bigger than that, i do follow politics and Virat Kohli was a target by the BJP for the past 5 years,  the comments of Bhupesh Chaubey is one such example and another is Panna Lal who questioned the patriotism of Kohli and these sort of battles were going on for a while and Virat Kohli was wise enough to avoid any direct confrontation until recently and that opened the Pandora's box culminating in loosing his captaincy. We as a public knows there is some sort of miscommunication between the BCCI, but it does have a different dimension and hopefully we will hear these things from Virat Kohli as a biography once he stops playing Cricket.

4 decades!! holy cow bhai. I thought you were in 30s or something.  Grin
Age is just a number, yes time flies  Cheesy.

England is in a good position to win the Test match as they need just 189 runs but whether they will be able to is a big question even though they have 8 wickets in hand  Grin.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 15, 2022, 10:54:33 PM
Holy shit

I didn't see that coming, don't know who is going to lead the team now? Rahane already stripped from his vice captaincy, his place is not secure anyway. Rohit is not young guy anymore and KL Rahul doesn't look captain material to me. Interesting time is coming indeed, let's see how this new transition period goes.
I was also not expecting this from Virat Kohli. I am sure he is upset with the situation surrounding his removal from captaincy from T20 and hence he might have taken this decision. I believe there is social media attack against him after his support of Mohammed Shami during the recently concluded world cup and he might have had enough with the targeted attacks.

Under his 7 years tenure, India become number 1 test team and stayed there for like 5-ish years. Without any doubt best Indian test captain, who changed the Indian test culture single handedly . Well done skipper, you led the team very well. Changes are part of the life but i'm going to miss him as test captain.
No doubt, under Virat Kohli, India had the best bowlers and i do not remember any team where India used to dominate in Test cricket while touring in my near four decades of watching Cricket and i credit that to the bowlers and the fighting spirit Virat Kohli implemented even in hostile situations.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: January 15, 2022, 09:16:54 PM
~
Usyk has to first deal with the rematch with Joshua, I doubt Joshua will accept some money to step aside as if he did then most likely he will never receive another chance to win a title, so it is all or nothing for Joshua when he fights against Usyk again, however I think that taking into account what we saw it is almost a given Usyk will win the rematch, so what comes next is the biggest question. And while I would like the fight between Fury and Usyk to happen right away, we know that promoters will get in the way.
What surprises me is that majority of the fight fans still think that Anthony Joshua could win the rematch against Usyk and with the hype revolving the rematch, i doubt Anthony Joshua would accept a big payment and step aside.

The biggest problem we need to get rid in boxing is, mandatory rematch clause for one sided beating  Cheesy. My prediction is still Oleksandr Usyk winning the rematch and then meeting Tyson Fury for a mega showdown.
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla now accept crypto payments on: January 15, 2022, 05:56:06 PM
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced dogecoin adoption as payment for its products, this news came after Elon musk earlier tweeted about the done coin being a better payment option compared to Bitcoin. As we can recall that Tesla use to accept Bitcoin payments in the past before putting on hold its crypto payment gateway.
Most of the times, he is just trolling the cryptocurrency market and this decision to start accepting Dogecoin to purchase Tesla is another gimmick from him and the thing that surprises is that he always wins the speculation game and hopefully he is investing whenever he plans to create a hype.

This announcement gave dogecoin a push-up in price as the coin gained 25% after the announcement.
He pumped BTCitcoin using the same modus operandi and he is doing that again with Dogecoin, he is just showing how the investors in cryptocurrency market has short term memory power on the volatile decisions, Musk usually takes on accepting and then delisting them without any thought process  Tongue.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 14, 2022, 11:50:39 PM
There is positive development for PCB as Pat Cummins the Aussie captain says his teammates are interested in touring Pakistan on March 3 this year but said will not force anyone to tour Pakistan. Australia is coming to Pakistan almost after 23 years. Recently NZ and England cancelled there tour to Pakistan due to security reasons.
The best quote i heard so far was from Usman Khawaja, he wanted to tour Pakistan and to give back to the Cricket community as the people are desperate to see a match live in their home soil for a long time and hence he wanted to tour Pakistan and majority of the players are now siding with the fact that they do not have any issues with the tour and that is promising.
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazilian mayor to reportedly invest 1% of city funds in Bitcoin on: January 14, 2022, 11:16:46 PM
Mayor announced We are going to launch Crypto Rio and invest 1% of the treasury in cryptocurrency. The government has a role to play. Paes added that the state is also preparing to instruct tax exemptions for the crypto industry.
I do not care whether the government invest in the cryptocurrency market or not but the import aspect here is they are thinking about tax exemptions to the new market and that is how a government should be rather than some countries ruled by jokers planning to regulate and restrict the market. If we want to see innovation, it should be a free and open market.

This series was a big blow to India's stake for sure. In first test they played like they have no competition and in rest of two they played as if they can't give competition. I think team India has faced such bad phases for a lot of times now already, suddenly all the best players go out of form and then BCCI brings in some new players from the bench who play really well but then the older folks come back in form to fill the slots, a few are able to get back their slots while rest are dropped.
Too much experimentation might be the reason, in the first match, KL Rahul played a wonderful innings and that is the reason India was able to score a good total and win the match, in the next two matches there were individual performances but the batting failed as a unit and the bowlers cannot win matches from impossible situations  Cheesy.

Ravichandran Ashwin did not bowl that much in the entire series because the pitch was not spinner friendly either, since the batting was struggling they should have added another batsman who could bowl a few overs of spin.
1533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Forecast by Goldman Sachs on: January 14, 2022, 08:22:28 PM
Goldman Sachs predicts that Bitcoin could reach $100k in 2022 if it continues to overtake gold’s market share. If you haven't invested in Bitcoin already, it could be the best time to get on board with Goldman Sachs' forecast.
The only questions everyone will be having is whether we will see the price of BTCitcoin crossing $100k during this rally and that is a million dollar question that no one can predict. Goldman Sachs is predicting that the price could reach those valuation this year, everyone can make that prediction.

"Bitcoin has all the makings of being a disruptive, digital currency that could one day replace gold as the world’s most popular store of value.
BTCitcoin is disruptive digital currency but it will not replace gold as store of value, no one in the right sense will invest in a highly volatile asset and expect that to be a store of value Cheesy.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 13, 2022, 11:23:50 PM
India still has a decent chance at winning this test as long as they remove the in-form SA batsmen quickly. I wouldn't count them out just yet.
This is what i thought in the second Test match but South Africa was able to win the match easily and even the third Test is going in that route. If the fast bowlers are able to pick wickets in the first session, then we might see an interesting match up but i doubt we will see any magical bowling performance from India as they only need 111 more runs to win the match and the series which is not a hard task considering they still have 8 wickets in hand.
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ethereum still a viable alternative to Bitcoin? on: January 13, 2022, 10:47:25 PM

Trade competition will encourage the Ethereum development team to improve the quality of the Ethereum network even more. They are well aware of the competition from BSC or other networks, which is why Ethereum developers upgraded ETH to ETH 2.0.
If the Ethereum team could solve the issues of high network fees they would have already done that by now and for the past one year we did not change in that situation. As you are aware that majority of the projects are migrating to other chains, so what will be the end game. Right now they are on the top of the list as they again hyped the market with the change of POW to POS and users thinking about making money by staking purchased a lot of coins and hence it was reflective in the price.

In the next 5 years we will see how the future of ETH would be as i am expecting a major change in the rankings.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How are your shitcoins? on: January 13, 2022, 09:24:50 PM
How were they in spring at the height of the first Altcoinrun? I sold quite a few of my 2017 shitcoins back then and most collapsed again to 2019 levels shortly after and are still on that level. I think in a couple of years everybody will have a lot of worthless tokens in their wallets and only a few of them really had their breakthrough and could keep a high position Grin
The best period for all these shitcoin projects were 2017 where all the projects that came out during that period rallied and anyone who were smart enough to book their profit made a good fortune and anyone who went for the long hold burned a hole in their pocket as majority of those coins never rallied after that.

The only unexpected rally during this bull run was Dogecoin and that is solely because Elon Musk was shilling them and since it was accepted in majority of the gambling sites, i am sure many would have purchased them to gamble once in a while and i was also lucky to hold a large amount of Doge and once it started to rally i booked my coins and it was a huge surprise.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULDN'T THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOKENS BE MORE SUPERVISED ? on: January 12, 2022, 11:50:24 PM
~
I think some progressive actions should be made, like more strict supervising and audits and as well, due consequences should be attached to defaulters.
Cause it's really disheartening the loss being recorded everyday due to elaborate cryptocurrency scam schemes.
What progressive action you are talking about, supervision by the government. I am not sure that would be a great idea but with the insane number of scam projects we might see the government intervention in the future but the problem is that it will halt the development of genuine projects. There are private audits in the space and even then some of the projects vanishes without much trace.
1538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 12, 2022, 09:46:05 PM
~
I believed that the price would have stopped long time ago, I believed that it would happen like maybe a few days earlier and then we wouldn't see under 42k if you asked me. I was wrong with that and price did see under 40k for a very very tiny period of time. However, we are back to where I believed it would be.
Right now it is interesting to see that we have a good support around $40k because whenever the price tend to go beyond that, it is recovering fast as we can see that there is a major buying wall when ever the price goes below $40k. If we are in a bear market i am sure it would not hold like that, so i am still optimistic that we will see one last rally before we see a major correction, which i think is inevitable.

Although Virat Kohli could not score a century, he played very well today. He is the highest run-scorer among Indian players. He scored 79 runs off 201 balls. India collected 223 runs. While the Indian collection is not enough, though  I am happy because in great form. He will play better in the next innings if he is back in form, i hope so.
If not for the patient innings from Virat Kohli, India would be struggling to get to this total, if one player was able to give him a decent support from the other end, the situation would have been different. Now this match also looks likes the second Test match and if the bowlers are not able to restrict South Africa then it will be hard to get back in this match as it looks like a difficult pitch to bat.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 270: Ngannou vs Gane | Is Gane a good bet? on: January 09, 2022, 08:26:31 PM
~
It's still a pretty risky bet though, ngl. I'm kinda hoping someone will convince me that I'm wrong but I don't see Gane losing in any scenario. Please discuss  Grin
Gane might be having good BJJ skills but it is not that easy to wrap hands around Francis Ngannou and submit him, he is really strong and even Stipe Miocic was not able to finish him even though he was able to defeat him in the first fight. The best game plan would be to make his tired and then try to finish him or win by points. On the other side one shot is more than enough from Francis Ngannou to take anyone in the UFC to another orbit.

As you mentioned with all the drama surrounding Francis Ngannou he will be prepared because a loss here could destroy his career completely along with his negotiation power.
