Look like England will survive this test match and this will end in a draw. Around 7 overs left in the day and they till have two wickets in hand. I am not sure if they will play all the remaining overs in the day or the dim light will call the day off early and England will be thankful for that.  Smiley
To my surprise they somehow survived the day and it was a good game of Cricket as i did not expect them to last the entire day and the match was on the line till the last ball which is really great. Scott Boland bowled really well but somehow they were lucky enough to hold on to the last ball.

Anyways 3 stunning results so far, 2022 looking good.

Underdog BAN beating WTC Champions at their own backyard.
Troubled South Africa beating India (Arguably the best travelling team in last 3-4 years).
3 one sided matches but finally English team showing some sort of intent and managed to pull one of the fine escape in the Ashes.
New Zealand started well this time around after the last defeat and looks like vengeance Cheesy .

England avoided the white wash with the draw Cheesy.

I guess tonight might be more crucial and if we see any bullish action tonight then we can be sure about upcoming bullish trend in 2022 otherwise this year would be a replica of 2014 and 2018.
Why you think that it is necessary to have some bullish trend in the market today, either way the market is moving high today and the market started to move higher by 3% and will see how long it can go. I am still expecting the market to go side way somewhere down the line and hopefully we will see that happen in the next few months and that is my expectation considering the global financial situation where inflation is looming.
1543  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bollywood Star Sanjay Dutt Meets CZ ! on: January 09, 2022, 06:17:48 PM
Possibly this looks like Binance CEO is planning to promote Binance exchange in India. For the same Sanjay Dutt might be the brand promoter. This doesn't have anything to do big with the cryptocurrency network. Already more exchange services have started their business in India and Binance seems to enter lately on the race.
Binance already purchased a site Wazirx which was one of the biggest exchanges in India and it is now their sister site and recently there was a raid in the exchange office by income tax officials and slapped a fine from what i understand because the income tax officials accuse them of not paying the complete tax for the fees they collect for each transaction.

Other Indian exchanges started major advertisement in media for the past one year and may be Wazirx is planning to advertise as well.

There is nothing wrong with what the Australian captain did? He knew that the English team is struggling this season and wanted Khawaja to get this century for his record. England needs 352 runs to win this match which I think is still not achievable considering their past performance. Australia has already won 3 matches and they will be looking for a win in this match too.
Australia could have declared the innings as soon as Usman Khawaja scored a history century in both innings, instead they played for a while and unless they lost two quick wickets in consecutive balls they declared the innings, if they declared as soon as Usman Khawaja scored his century they would get around 18 to 20 overs for the day.

England lost their first wicket and how long they will survive in this match is to be seen and Scott Boland took the wicket and whether we will see another magical spell is to be seen  Cheesy.

This kept me wondering why one would even think of investing if they don't have the patient to hold. If you can't develop the hold attitude then the best option is to do a physical business where you can monitor your profit and see them come in regularly. If it must be crypto then you must be willing to hold and wait
When it comes to solid investment then a long term hold with earn you a much better profit and that is the same with BTCitcoin, but if you take the rest of the market you cannot have the same trust as majority of the projects may not succeed in the long run and hence you cannot have the same level of confidence like any other market.

If you still have the doubts, check out how many projects have failed in the last year alone, the numbers are alarmingly high. But if there is a solid project with good team then you can hope that they will fulfil what they started.

Main reason is too much cricket. All year we have t20 leagues plus icc tournaments there is hardly any interest left in U19 and domestic cricket. Trend these days is try to make it to any T20 league and from there players are picked for national team that play test and odi.
Even earlier there is not much interest to view the U 19 or domestic cricket and earlier it was hard to get the match broadcasted, but now a days you get the live feed. If you are talking about players not showing interest in the U19 tournament then you are wrong, all the players who is in the Indian team or in the IPL got selected because of domestic performance or because of their U19 performance. Other than that there is no way to draft a player for the IPL Wink.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which one has a Ethereum-like potential? on: January 08, 2022, 04:08:12 PM
~
MATIC is a potentially coin but to become like ethereum? it is not going to happen lol , instead there is none in the list that could get even closer to how ethereum performs , but if SOL or ADA is listed in OP then I would agree in any of those two.
When it comes to the usability then the price of ETH does not make any sense as the transaction fees is much higher than any other cryptocurrency in the market, so basically logic does not work in these discussions  Tongue. I would not mind investing a couple of hundred dollars in MATIC while i am not confident to invest in any other coin at this moment considering the risk factor of a correction.

Wrong  not unless you are talking long term then chances are there, but if this is for short period of time ? then Even MATIC is not into position to get as how Ethereum perform all time .
As an investor, Matic is a low valuation coin and the potential is really high and the risk factor is really low considering other blown out coins in the market with much less use case Matic is a safe investment.
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 08, 2022, 12:03:31 AM
^^  I am also not expecting any heroic effort from this England side as their batting struggled throughout this series and Jonny Bairstow was able to score a century but he is not that consistent with his performance. Ben Stokes got lucky as always, he would have dismissed earlier when a ball hit the stumps but the bails did not move an inch.

Anything over 300 runs and they should declare because England will not be able to chance them and they are terrible at defense Cheesy.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick reminder from Eric Adams, mayor of the City of New York. on: January 07, 2022, 11:42:12 PM

Yep. At the very least compare the current price to the price 1 year ago or the price at the start of the year. Comparing against all-time highs will only give you a very bad picture especially if it's a blowoff top à la December 2017.
Even that in comparison to the point of view aspect will create fear in the minds of investors, because one year back the price of BTCitcoin was below $10k and if they look at that perspective then they fear that it can still go down and might book their loss thinking that they will purchase once it reaches the bottom  Wink.

The perspective game is really tricky and i still believe that it all depends upon how the institutional investors view these scenarios and which perspective they will view the market situation. Anything is possible in the next few days, lets see how the market goes.
1550  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 07, 2022, 11:06:14 PM

I got the picture but it's should be up for people whether they will buy any prediction or not. I'm expecting that since crypto, specifically bitcoin, is highly recognized in that country, being the first one to accept it to be used in exchange for goods and services, at least the majority of their citizens should already know the drill.
When they introduced BTCitcoin there were many against his views and there were several strikes that took place as far as i remember. You cannot expect the entire country to know about the cryptocurrency market even though they have heard about it. My point is the poorest of the poor or the middle class who store their savings in a government official currency will suffer if there is a major correction.

A $100,000 target should always be considered as a pure prediction and speculation, not a thing that will happen accurately or exactly on a given date or year. There should be no crybabies if that price didn't achieve last year as I don't see any reason why some people should end up like that.
If a normal person, make a prediction that will not have any implications because only people who are investing will take note of that and then make their decision whether to follow his prediction or not, but if a president of the country comes out with predictions like that, the common citizens who does not even know about the market, will invest expecting a huge return and might suffer if they invest at the wrong time.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 07, 2022, 10:25:06 PM
I knew it was almost impossible for Bayern to win in that situation, Gladbach may be a weak team but they wouldn't lose against a B team, that would be a very bad joke and I doubt Gladbach's coach would be sleepy after losing against a B team
I made the mistake of placing a bet without looking at the game, i placed the bet before the start of the match and i never expected this upset from Borussia Monchengladbach, the second half i thought Bayern Munich would atleast level the score but there were no goals in the second half and i lost $680 for the stupid bet as i never expected this loss in my wildest dreams and the odds for Borussia Monchengladbach win were over 6 Cry.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple makes a $1 price bull set for 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 08:48:02 PM

With the current market price of $0.76 I think $1 will be a big bull to ripple market, 2022 have been predicted to be the stable coins year but the truth is it is always a big deal for the stable coin to ride above $1 as the SEC have a big influence over the market and constantly pushing to keep its price within a stable amount.
I am not sure what you are trying to imply here, stable coins can be a sorted outed coin during a bear market as everyone holding the coins will be trying to sell their coins and try to hold stable currencies, but the way you sound is that the SEC will not allow these stable currencies to surpass $1, while these stable currencies are said to be pegged to a dollar and how can it surpass a dollar  Roll Eyes .

With the way the market is performing in the last few weeks, i doubt we will see another bullish run, it all depends upon how the BTCitcoin market would recover from this stage.
1553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 06, 2022, 10:29:08 PM
There was always a reason why EL SALVADOR president predict that BTC will hit 100k$ maybe he believe on it, we are all free to predict and believe and I think Bitcoin will surely hit 100k$ soon the only problem is we don't know the exact date of hitting 100k$ but there is a possibility so have patience and goodluck.
The problem with Nayib Bukele the El Salvador president is that he is banking everything on BTCitcoin expecting that he could overcome the financial issues his country is facing, but what he does not understand is that, what happens when the market goes for a toss and anyone who invested in BTCitcoin because their president made it legal looses their life savings, i am curious to see how he is going to overcome that situation and what explanation he is going to give.

He can have his opinion but as a president he cannot give out these highly optimistic narrative to his citizen which he does not have any control over the market and has no idea how the market moves.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin to Proof-of-Stake (PoS)? on: January 06, 2022, 08:49:34 PM
If materialized, DOGE will face serious centralization issues in the long term. Big exchanges will be able to control most of the Blockchain with their large stake of coins. Knowing that there are billions of DOGE in circulation, this would turn out to be disastrous for the good-old "meme" coin. Most altcoins seem to be following ETH's footsteps, so we might see a future where Bitcoin remains as the only PoW (and decentralized) cryptocurrency in the world.
I hope they will not jump to a conclusion that POS is the way to go moving forward, the parody is that they are seeking the help of Vitalik Buterin as an advisor when ETH is yet to solve their scaling issues and people are tired of spending huge fees to make a transaction and the same Vitalik Buterin was mocking the BTCitcoin community when the fees was about $10 back when scaling was a huge issue and now he is just giving out promises about how he is going to change the ETH network and yet everyone is waiting for the result for over a year.

The developers of Doge needs to take the critical decision and hopefully they will not carry on with this proposal.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2022, 11:59:46 PM
South Africa will easily win this match, they only need 122 runs and they have lost only 2 wickets. Elgar is still on the pitch and he himself can get those runs for his team. If India is able to bowl out him then they will try to draw this match. I believe that would be an impossible task for the Indian bowlers.
South Africa needs just 122 run to win the match. The Indian pacers were not able to pick early wickets to put them in trouble and the Indian batting was disappointing in this match, yet i think the bowlers will fight hard in the morning session even though i do not give India a chance to win the match from this situation, i am expecting some fiery spells from Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.

Chuck Jon Jones in with the loser of the fight with Gane, and Ngannou. I don't really support the idea he gets a title shot after such a long period of inactivity. So, put him in with the loser, and if wins, then he gets his title shot. Not sure, we'll ever see him back in the UFC though, probably demanding too much money for Dana, and I think he quite likes being considered one of the best with one of the better records of the UFC, also don't think he quite fancies himself against the current heavyweights.
Jon Jones is not a model fighter outside the cage, but in skills inside the arena and his basically undefeated streak is more than enough to get a title shot at Heavy Weight division when he moves up. He basically cleaned up the Light Heavy weight division multiple times and there is nothing for him to prove his worth and we all know as fans that no one could challenge him in this division and the only challenge comes if he moves up and that is what everyone is anticipating for years.

1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 05, 2022, 10:49:36 PM
Its been a very long time that I've been using coinmarketcap.com/new to find new crypto projects that just get listed on the platform and I've come to notice that every two to three days coinmarketcap always list up to 30 new crypto projects, how insane is that? It shows that more than 100 crypto projects are released every week cos some landed on coingecko first before coinmarketcap, this to me is scary
This is nothing new, there are always projects that will be added to coinmarketcap and there are projects that are removed as well. We might not be seeing those projects but there is an option to check the newly listed projects and it is going on for years. Not sure why you are surprised now, check out the achieved site and you will understand that there are new projects listed every day for the past several years.

NZ vs BAN

Holy shit... Bangladesh is about to make history!!!

9th wicket down for NZ and lead is only 31 runs.
I never expected this turnaround in the match, Bangladesh played really well and they just need 37 runs to win the match and create history. Glad that i did not place a bet on the match because i would have went with New Zealand before the match because i could not see Shakib Al Hasan in the team line up and the batsman turned the match upside down with their first innings performance and then Ebadot Hossain did the rest and i am hearing this name for the first time  Smiley.
1559  Economy / Economics / Re: IRS says stolen property and bribes must be reported as income on: January 02, 2022, 07:52:27 PM

While I can't say I completely understand the process or future of the IRS in the country. It is quite possible that in the future, the IRS will be legally bound from sharing accounts of criminal activity with law enforcement to guarantee the government reaps a higher share of tax revenues from crime.
I initially thought this as a joke, but from the way it is presented and knowing the situation in the US, this looks really weird to begin with and i am not sure where this will end. If you think that the tax authorities will not share the criminal activities, that is a joke that might last till the presidential term of Biden, who i think is a puppet dancing to the tune of others.

They already created a huge mess and they are legitimizing many illegal activities and now paying your taxes for the things you stole, it is a funny world we live in  Cheesy.
1560  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin allows tax evaders, Please pay attention.... on: January 02, 2022, 07:24:51 PM
I guess the point is in that question, why even try to avoid taxes?! If someone thinks there are good reasons for him to avoid taxes that person will do it anyway, doesn't matter which fiat/crypto currency he is using!
This is the fact, anyone entering the cryptocurrency space to evade tax will do so one way or the other. I am paying my taxes for the income i generate from this space and hence i am not worried about future issues regarding this.

Well, I am not against paying taxes, I am paying a lot of them... but the government should return those taxes to us people, which is not exactly what is happening in my country! So I am not paying taxes on crypto, there aren't clear rules about crypto, and I am not running to them for explanations!
This is a problem that is faced by many people in multiple countries, the government is leeching us and we as an end user is not getting the benefits of paying our taxes. But still we are paying them to avoid severe punishment in the form of fines and other terms.
