2341  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anybody in the 1000 Satoshi club here? on: March 31, 2015, 09:21:17 AM
yeah im in it. i was hard work of about a year. you know claiming faucets and stuff like that. i spent a lot of time but i have 1000 satoshi now

LOL it took you a year to get 1000 satoshi with faucets? xD
I think I never used faucets, but I'm sure there are some that pay more than that each day.
And if you join a signature campaign here, you can get a lot more for each post you make.
2342  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling Full member accounts Update March 22 Inventories extremely limited on: March 30, 2015, 07:51:30 PM
What kind of loser idiot buys accounts?

Why not just start your own account?

Anything else is stupid, shady business. And you should be ashamed of yourself for helping to promote evil.

I think most people buy accounts to use in signature campaigns and get more bitcoins. It takes a long time to get to senior member to earn a lot more. So when it's just used for that it's not a big problem, I think.
But this helps scammers too. And it's even worse for people that sell accounts with +trust. : /
Account sellers should at least follow the accounts they sell and try to avoid problems.
2343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France plane crash: No survivors expected [Condolences to the families] on: March 27, 2015, 05:17:21 PM
Own jetpack won't work at extreme height, too cold and no oxigen, but the whole plane might be possible to first eject slowdown parachute at tail then lots of parachute/airbag around the body, thus ATC can override with an emergency brake and shutdown the engine

I think you're underestimating how much parachute you'd need to slow down a jetliner traveling at 600 mph. And a parachute to slow down an entire plane, assuming this was physically and mechanically feasible, would ostensibly be deployed from the cockpit, which makes this a solution that wouldn't have worked in this case, since the co-pilot locked out everyone who didn't want to crash the plane.

When you are taking a car driving course, your instructor can always step on break and stop the car.  Air Traffic Control can not do this to an airplane because of safety concern, but if the plane can be safely parachuted, the control of plane can be overridden by ATC, the pilots will have no control over the plane when ATC take over

In fact if ATC can override, parachute is not needed, it can just autopilot the airplane to land on any nearby airport. You only need to code a specific emergency landing sequence in the airplane computer and trigger that sequence when something is wrong. But parachuting is easier than autopilot since it could also solve other problems like computer/engine/gear failure etc...

Would the autopilot be able to land everywhere? Someone said above that it worked on large airports but airports can be different and with different sizes, etc. And maybe it could cause problems for the airport if they weren't ready.
And if you can send information to the plane to do that, or to say it can't land there, can't there be the risk of it being used to hijack the plane? : /

The news report says they found "an item of significance" in the guy's apartment.

It will all come out within a few days.  Obviously, it's impossible to suppress his religion and personal life since his name is known.

They found a suicide note.

Well, BBC isn't very reliable but they wrote the opposite: "Prosecutors said there was no evidence of a political or religious motive to his actions, and no suicide note was found." But they wrote about some torn sick notes in his apartment what suggests that he wasn't fit for flying.

I read that too. And a German newspaper said he had psychological problems and had been under psychiatric treatment for 18 months.
And recently that he had a breakup with his girlfriend. : /
2345  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What About Israel’s Nuclear Bomb? on: March 25, 2015, 09:42:56 PM
Nuclear Weapons and their risk isn't all that difficult to understand.

There are several piles of nukes all over the world
There are several piles of idiots all over the world
The shorter the distance between the two groups of piles the more risk of a nuclear conflict.

Arguing that the piles of idiots are larger in Iran then in democratic nations (which Israel, despite all the problems they have is) is fairly easy.

The negotiations that are going on are to keep Iran from having nuclear weapons, as I believe they should be. It's better than just attacking them without trying to talk to them like others want to do. : /
And if there are piles of idiots all over the world then isn't it better to have much fewer piles of nukes? I think GreekBitcoin is right. We should use this to start talking about it.

@DieJohnny I don't think America is a trusted country and it's because of that the US dollar is used. I think it's because it's a very powerful country that isn't afraid to use its military power to force others to do what it wants.
2346  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA to be dismantled by internal & external threats on: March 25, 2015, 09:04:27 PM
Jaysabi, I am willing to put my real name here and my permanent contact info.

Will you accept my challenge to do this same?

Because I want to make sure I can call you out when all this comes true and see what your reaction is then.

How are you going to feel when everything I have written comes true? Honestly? Will you feel any shame for being a dumb-ass?

Will you be alive if it comes true? xD
And you seem familiar. Are you the new account of Anonimint or something? lol

edit: and I see that you still don't know what socialism is lol.
2347  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Several Admirals and Generals Accusing Obama of Treason... on: March 25, 2015, 08:59:48 PM
Story is at Redflag site, doesn't seem to be loading.
As well on some of the political discussion sites I've used, threads speaking of government corruption and related I've seen deleted.  You can use google cache to access some stuff that is down or has been removed.

This site http://www.redflagnews.com/headlines/breaking-several-admirals-and-generals-accusing-obama-of-treason ?
They accuse Obama of being a communist!! xD I don't think they know what that means lol.
I didn't read everything but at least the arming of groups that are said to be terrorists isn't new. You need to change a lot more than the president for that to change. : /
2348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Satoshi's coins will never hit the market on: March 24, 2015, 11:45:46 AM
Article looks like bullshit based off nothing but speculation to me. There's nothing that offers proof or backs up their claims at all. Nobody knows what happened to satoshi, his coins, or even if he is one or more people.

I think he should have made something obvious like an address that consists of a string or something. That way people could be pretty sure he doesn't have control about the coins anymore. If those coins move, I bet they move into a black-hole address.

Is there a way that he could have proved that the bitcoins were really lost? Even if the address he used to send them to was just some string, wouldn't someone eventually create that address and get the coins? xD
Or are you saying that it should be something pre-programmed to have an address that can't be accessed?

Article looks like bullshit based off nothing but speculation to me. There's nothing that offers proof or backs up their claims at all. Nobody knows what happened to satoshi, his coins, or even if he is one or more people.

What we do know is though that he was here he created Bitcoin mined a very very nice amount and then went totally of the public radar for what reasons we do not know, but we do know most if not all of his coins remained untouched in wallets that there are links to in some threads here.

Question is why would he not spend any of the coins at the first bubble if he could indeed get to them to spend, only someone filthy rich would leave them to never touch but i am talking filthy rich 100's of millions banked.

I don't think the bitcoins that are in addresses people know to be from Satoshi can be used. If they are moved people may think he is selling or something and make the price crash lol.
2349  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What About Israel’s Nuclear Bomb? on: March 24, 2015, 11:22:48 AM
And trusted by whom lol. The only reason no one can talk about Israel having nuclear weapons and how they got them is because of America and the diplomatic protection it gives Israel, I think. And even with that Israel is still trying to make others attack Iran, lying to fool others to do that, and threatening to attack Iran themselves. At least Obama is trying to avoid war.

Of course he's trying to avoid a war with Iran. That would bring the entire middle east (maybe together with North Africa) into a war with at least three sides fighting each other, and the whole region could end up as an Islamic caliphate... perhaps more caliphates.

Exactly. America let Iraq fall into the mess it is now. If Iran is also attacked the conflict will probably spread through all that area, but many in America and Israel still want more war. It's crazy : /

@GreekBitcoin I think you are right. The best would be if no one had nuclear weapons, or maybe they could only be used with most countries agreeing with it. Maybe through the UN or something.
But the big countries are never going to agree with that. And do we know where all of these weapons are and who has control of them? With the collapse of the soviet union many components and weapons could have been lost. But it still would be a good thing if more weren't built. : /

2350  Economy / Gambling / Re: Negative house edge on: March 24, 2015, 11:06:42 AM
@neoneros But they only lose money because the house has an advantage. If that changes and the player has an advantage, more players and the more they play, the more the house loses. In this case the chances aren't in favor of the casino.

It is accepted by most here that a positive house edge will ultimately wipe out your deposit (rather sooner than later). But we could try to look at this issue from another angle. That is, whether the house is predetermined to lose in the long run if it had a negative house edge? As I see it, a positive house edge doesn't guarantee per se that a casino won't suffer heavy losses, but why should it necessarily suffer them if it had a small negative edge (to attract new users)? In other words, how long will it take till we see a casino claiming just that?

I've never seen a mention of the negative house edge here, so I decided to create a new topic on this issue (and added a poll)

When you play on a 1% edge site, the site owner is actually taking the same bet but with a 1% +EV.
Will the site owner lose some bets? Surely they will.
Will the site owner go bankrupt? Very unlikely as long as he has a good bankroll management.

For the same token, if there is a negative house edge (+EV to the player) site, the players will very likely get a good profit as long as they bet according to the kelly formula.

I think the same way, that the situation will be mirrored in a sense. But could the negative house edge be set in such a manner and value that would still allow the house to profit without turning into a Ponzi and lying about its real house edge (for the sake of getting a competitive edge over other dice cites)?

The only way is if the house edge isn't fixed, I think. It could change so as to keep a small fixed profit for the casino. So if the casino was lucky in the last bets, the edge could go to negative. If the house lost money, the edge could be positive. But I think many people would not play when the edge was positive to the house, and only when it was negative xD
2351  Economy / Gambling / Re: Negative house edge on: March 24, 2015, 10:46:51 AM
i said you are betting 0.001 per bet with no increase, didnt you even read what i said? ofc implies that you gain profits and if everyone did that everyone would win

and if the house edge is lower just calculate how much you would win in that case but its the same thing

How on earth are you going to make 1 million (that is 10 million) bets, if there would be no automatic betting allowed? Could they earn more while you are there making 10 million bets? One bet per second would take you years to get there.

It doesn't matter, I think. You would have a lot of players in the casino, and the edge would make the house lose one way or the other. : /
I don't think anyone would keep a casino with this edge for a long time and stay in business.

I don't think a negative house edge makes sense. : /
A positive house edge doesn't guarantee that the casino won't lose some times, but if it has no bugs players can use and a big bankroll in relation to the bets, it will win in the end, I think. A negative house edge would attract more players, but the house would eventually lose more times than win. Even if a lot of money would be coming into the casino, more would be leaving. Maybe it would be more like a ponzi then lol.

@kenbytes LOL I haven't seen Battlefield Earth yet, but now I almost want to! xD

@interbtc so you won't see the third part that is going to come out this year? xD
The Human Centipede isn't for everyone lol. I don't think it is a bad movie but it is too gross in some parts.
2355  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What About Israel’s Nuclear Bomb? on: March 24, 2015, 09:39:31 AM
In any case, if everyone knows Israel has the bomb, why not acknowledge this in the public debate?

I asked another friend (a well-informed journalist sympathetic to the Palestinian cause) why reporters don’t talk about the Israeli bomb. “Groupthink,” he said. “It’s almost as though Israel gets a bye from the media.”

More...http://www.thenation.com/blog/201369/what-about-israels-nuclear-bomb

1) they are a trusted nuclear powered country and have been for decades
2) they have not made threats about their weapons or what they intend to do with them

This current nuclear debate is about whether Iran should be included in trusted countries with nuclear power. I am laughing a little as I type this, i have no idea why this is a debate. Your leaders cannot make threats of nuclear war against Israel and then have the world allow you to develop that power. It is a comedy and Obama is a fool.

We've found several Israeli spies in the US and Israel has also been aggressive militarily. How are they a trusted power and for DECADES at that?

And trusted by whom lol. The only reason no one can talk about Israel having nuclear weapons and how they got them is because of America and the diplomatic protection it gives Israel, I think. And even with that Israel is still trying to make others attack Iran, lying to fool others to do that, and threatening to attack Iran themselves. At least Obama is trying to avoid war.

I guess we are entering the era of Nuclear war. Oh no, my country is gonna be a casualty if this happens.

Great.  N Korea will shoot at the US over the poles.  Their missiles will screw up and land in Canada.  Sad

Can their missiles reach that far? I think that if war starts and they use nuclear weapons, they will shoot them at south Korea.

@ajareselde even if they are quickly destroyed it's already bad if only one missile is fired and hits a city.
And are anti missile systems good enough to stop these missiles? I don't think they are very effective yet. : /
2357  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declares victory in tight race on: March 23, 2015, 11:35:05 PM
Netanyahu has never supported the two-state solution; he only said he did, as a ploy to stall for more time to build settlements. Not a bad tactic, but deceptive and dishonest--nothing new in politics, though.

The problem for Netanyahu and for Israel, though, is that Netanyahu wants the one-state solution, and by building settlements which make realistic borders impossible, he has virtually guaranteed one state. That leads to the next question, which is what to do with the Palestinians, setting up a choice of either a "Final Solution", or ending apartheid and giving the vote to everyone. Evidently Netanyahu has no intention of giving any more Palestinians the vote, so his course of action can be predicted....

I don't think Netanyahu wants the one state solution because he doesn't want the Palestinians to participate like you say. : /
What he wants is to continue the settlements for as long as he can, and keep talks to fool people to think he wants a solution. That way Israel takes all the land it wants and Palestinians have to try to live on what is left.
That is different from the one state solution, and makes it impossible to have the two state solution too : /
2358  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: March 17, 2015, 11:43:41 AM
I don't have a lot, so it would have to be worth much more xD but at that time I think a lot of places would already accept bitcoin, so I wouldn't need to sell them lol.
If I had many more bitcoins I would think about selling them all if I thought the price would never go higher or there was a problem with the protocol. : /
I thought about using everything I have to trade too, so then I would be selling everything and then buying more. Or less if I don't do it right. xD

Why don't you withdraw the money and use localbitcoins or other sites?
2360  Economy / Gambling / Re: [New] Battleship Game at CoinXerox on: March 17, 2015, 11:16:46 AM
This is great. xD Is there any way for us to place our ships? Or is it always random?
@rayhan you need to win by a greater number of shots. Maybe 14 to 20 or something lol. Less than that and you start losing bitcoins.
is it possible to make a profit we should won a landslide victory as 20-9
i mean, i get 20 points and the opponent only less than 10
is like that?

The computer fires randomly so it's not a difficult game lol and I don't think you have to win by that much to profit. Maybe 20-12 or 20-13 is enough.

@baumi I didn't read everything, but this site seems to have some detail about building a program to win at battleship with good odds
http://www.datagenetics.com/blog/december32011

Thanks patt0, the article seems interesting.

We are seriously thinking about a more intelligent dealer. A dealer bot that doesn't play randomly but that are looking for enemy ships as a human does. It could be more fun and even payout odds confusion would be removed.

So far it seems that the biggest challenge would be to merge an bot program with provably fair system. How to include an dynamic behavior into fixed provably fair final shuffle? We need to resolve this first.

I don't know but maybe release the bot program as open source? And if it always does the same action when it is in the same situation people should be able to see it was a fair game lol.
But it may be easier to find ways to beat the computer that way, or copy the program and play with the bot against the server too. Maybe create several bots and choose one to use each game at random? xD
