Just to let you know that we are still negotiating the details, this is not forgotten, and I'm pretty confidant it will go live!
In the meantime feel free to share and suggest anything you would like to see in the Poker League.
1602  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you be up for a Poker League for members of this forum? on: January 05, 2016, 11:44:05 AM
of course i would be interested to join it but i dont know if i would be able to participate in them if it would be held on night time in my time zone, also it depends on what amounts of money i should put into it as im not willing to loose more money than i can afford to loose

Most popular timezone for poker is around 7:30 - 8pm GMT however this mean its afternoon for USA.  Its better doing it that way than doing it :8pm for USA and midnight for europe though.

Yes you are correct. Ideally we would have a tournament 2 times a day (3 days a week), so we could reach both timezones at the best hour, but if not possible it should be like you said.

Hello guys, I'm a poker and sports betting enthusiastic. I'm glad to see the sports betting thriving in this forum.
Every day we see new tipsters threads, and we even now have a competition for tipsters, in which I participated and that is now in the IV edition.

So the big question is:

What about poker?

Would you like to see a monthly Poker League in this forum?
If so what would you like it to have?

I think it would be great if we had some exclusive tournaments for us during the week, and at least one could be a freeroll, and we could get points from participating, based on the place we finish in the tournament, etc, and in the end of the month prizes would be paid for the top players in the league.

Let me know what you think about this. What would you like to see in a Poker League?
well this sounds like a great idea, but i will play it if sponsor wont be betcoin.ag i will never deposit there again as they keep you waiting for money sometimes up to 24hours. if swc, nitrogen, luckyflop, etc would like to be sponsor im in Smiley
regards.
-Katerniko1

I do believe that should be acceptable in poker because many things must be analyzed when it comes to poker, like collusion detection etc
The sponsor is not yet decided, but that should be a common thing among all of them I guess, when it comes to poker at least.
I'm totally used to that in fiat poker rooms, and I don't expect it to be different in BTC poker, because of the same reasons. Anyway that of course will not be up to me, as I will only manage the competition, the rest will be up to the sponsor.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 04, 2016, 10:27:50 AM

Got a little scared with that own goal, but everything worked fine in the end, and got a good win on this one.
As for today I will go for the Chelsea game.

C Palace v Chelsea
Draw No Bet, Chelsea @ 1.41

I don't think they will lose this one. They are still far away from what they should be in my opinion but are playing better. I think the odds are decent enough for me to risk it.

Glad Chelsea did not let me down. I think I will start risking a little more on them, could have one more if I did not played it cautious in the draw no bet. A win is a win, and it sure helped on "the mess" I did on the other leagues.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: January 04, 2016, 10:25:10 AM

To bad Celta did not score a goal, but all the others were wins so it was a good day in the Spanish league for me.
As for today I think I will risk a little.

Granada v Sevilla
Sevilla @ 1.78

Valencia v Real Madrid
Real Madrid @ 1.52
Both teams to Score?, Yes @ 1.59

At least i won one of those bets, and it made things a little better but still a loss. Granada keeps messing me up from time to time lol
I was also expecting a little more from Real Madrid, after the draw from Barcelona and all.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League Prediction Thread (Primeira Liga) on: January 04, 2016, 10:21:02 AM
omfg no idea about what happen in the Rio Ave vs Tondela. It was not even because of the red card, it was 1-3 before that...
oh well, I guess this is football. Congrats for all that went for the over 2.5 instead of betting on Rio Ave.
Terrible week on the Portuguese League for me, at least the other leagues covered this one.
1607  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you be up for a Poker League for members of this forum? on: January 04, 2016, 10:10:54 AM
Be sure to include and the buy-in in the leader-board formula. E.g. the freeroll should bring a lot less point to it.

The idea is to have more buy in tournaments than freerolls, so for that reason alone people playing in the buy in tournaments will have a chance to get more points. The buy in tournaments could award more points, but it should remain balanced. The main idea for the freeroll is to allow players to collect some coins there, and be also able to play in the other tournaments.

I would but only if I like the browser based Poker room and currently there aren't any. So unless you're thinking of making a new site, I'd pass. Also, all the people which seem to be excited are only because you said freeroll and you'll get a lot of them entering the freeroll but very few will actually play buy-in tournaments. This is the reason why a lot of good sites died.

Not going to create a new site. Will try to get a sponsor and if the site has web browser poker it can be played in a browser. I'm used to download poker software, I even prefer to do it even when the poker room has a browser client, because clients tend to lag less and normaly have more features that I like to use. It would be great to create something that everyone would like, but sometimes that is not possible.

As for the freerolls, like I explained before, a skilled players should be able to pass by the league with profit without having to risk much, or probably anything. The winnings from the freerolls should pay the buy ins for the other tournaments, and the winnings from the other tournaments should pay their own buy in and the buy in of the main event. We will not have just freerolls, that is not the idea.
1608  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you be up for a Poker League for members of this forum? on: January 03, 2016, 06:07:57 PM
I would be interested in joining a poker league but what software or site would we be using?

I'm trying to get us a sponsor.

As for the tournament itself, I thought about at at least 3 a week two times a day (for different time zones), and at least one of them should be a freeroll. Depending on the place you finish you would be awarded points for the Poker League, and in the end of the month prizes would be paid for the top players in the League.

Maybe you can send a message about your idea to betcoin.ag or betcoin.tm . I'm sure one of those two sites will happy to support your idea, because it will bring more traffic to their site. And for sure I'll be there when the poker league is ready to run Smiley

Yep I'm already in negotiations, so everything should be up and running very soon I hope. Stay tuned!
I'm pretty confidant we will have this Poker League!

Its a great idea but what would work really good if a bitcoin site ran it for members of this forum in exchange for adding a small prize for the league leader board.  Maybe could do something with a signature campaign to boost prizes.

That is exactly what I have in mind, and what I'm trying to achieve. Did not thought about the sig campaign option.
That's probably not a bad ideia as well, although it would limit the number of participants I guess, since they would not be able to were their campaign sig.

And Guardiola I think will tend to move to Man City. But let's wait and see.Sometimes things go stranges ways. Smiley

It seems he will be going to manchester city unless manchester united able to provide him with better payment and more budget to buy new player. Guardiola only manages team that has potential to win the league, manchester united with their current team player will not be able to finish at top 4 if they on playing bad

To bad Mourinho is being announced as the next Real Madrid coach instead of Manchester United. It would bee nice to see him on United and Guardiola on City.

im very interested in playing poker in real life and in online casinos so of course i would be very curious to try the poker league i think it would be a very great idea to do it though it depends on how much money we would have to spend on it as different people can spend different amounts

The idea of having at least 3 weekly tournaments was exactly thinking about that. One could be a freeroll, and the others could also have different buy ins. Maybe not to big, since this would be the first tournament, and it would be nice to allow most people to join, so they can build up there poker bankroll. I thin the ones with buy in could be somewhere between 5 - 10 mBTC, what do you guys think?

EDIT: I also just remembered that at the end of the month we could have something like a "main event", that would be the tournament with the biggest buy in. Nothing to big of course, but something to make it more exciting.

yes i agree with that, at the end of the month all top players play at 1 table main event. and yes it has the reward or prizes for 1st,2nd,3rd. are you already got sponsor ?

When I thought about main event it would not be for just some players. It would just be a more serious tournament that would award more points for the league and would have a bigger buy in than the regular ones during the month. This would be the last tournament of the month before the end of the League. It could have some cool feature like a bounty for the top league player by the time of that tournament etc, but I will still have to think more about it.

As for the sponsor I think I'm pretty close. I will keep you informed!

too bad Porto could not score, so my both team to score lose Sad

Rio Ave vs Tondela, This is easy victory for Rio Ave against a team who are bottom in the standings board.

I'm even sure Rio Ave win in the first round tondela is not a worthy opponent for Rio Ave especially those playing at home
100% confident Rio Ave will win

Very disappointed with Porto, not sure the coach will last long.

As for today I also agree that Rio Ave should have an "easy" win. The draw is always a risk vs these week teams, since they just defend a lot, but the odds are decent in my opinion so I will take that risk.

Rio Ave v Tondela
Rio Ave @ 1.59
1615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: January 03, 2016, 01:04:16 PM
Barcelona is having a hard time scoring today, hope they win.

Here is my tip for today:

Malaga v Celta Vigo
Both teams to Score? Yes @ 1.94
Draw No Bet, Malaga @ 1.55

Atletico Madrid v Levante
Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.9

After winning vs Atletito, I expect Malaga to win here to. It won't be easy so I will go for the draw no bet for insurance. I also expect both teams to score.
As for Atletico, given the last games at home I prefer the under 2.5, but it's really almost a coin flip here.

To bad Celta did not score a goal, but all the others were wins so it was a good day in the Spanish league for me.
As for today I think I will risk a little.

Granada v Sevilla
Sevilla @ 1.78

Valencia v Real Madrid
Real Madrid @ 1.52
Both teams to Score?, Yes @ 1.59
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 03, 2016, 12:58:55 PM
Leicester seems to start having problems in the premier league, let's see if they can score in these last 10min.

Here my tips for today

Watford v Man City
Man City @ 1.64

I will keep it simple and go for a straight win on Manchester City. They have terribly results away, but they have to do it eventually so I will take these odds and hope they win.

Quote
Sporting Lisbon v Porto
Draw or Away @ 1.53
Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.26

Over 2.5 goals is quite good for Sporting Lisbon v Porto last game the two teams Sporting Lisbon lost 3-0 at home to Porto
Now Sporting Lisbon play at home is an opportunity to avenge that defeat so the chances of over 2.5 goals is good enough

I agree with you on the over 2.5. I really think this is a high risk game, for both teams. Because of that 1 point that separates them, and because of all the pressure the Porto's couch is having, so I think that after we get a goal they will have to risk a lot, and since they are good teams, many goals can happen. Let's see how it goes.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 02, 2016, 05:07:30 PM
Boom United finally won,Leicester no goals again Arsenal lucky just 1-0
Not so many goals, looks like guys are tired

Yep there goes Leicester i guess. a loss vs Liverpool and now a draw vs a team from the bottom, they probably won't be able to keep it up.
Let's wait and see. As for united lol, they have to start winning some day xD
