Probably fair means - either you win or loose. 21 red streaks is nothing, I heard about 50 red streaks  Wink Regarding martingale method - it is very hard to say - it is good or not. If people win, they say martingale is best, if they loose, they say martingale always loose.  Grin

50 red streaks? Are you sure? Man the odd of that should be like winning the lottery (but in this case it would be bad xD)
2242  Economy / Gambling / Re: freebit.co.in multiplay system on: July 14, 2015, 09:45:27 PM
in fact the chance is really high to loose if you do a lot of bets, even if you would get 50 losses in a row the chance to loose 51st will still be 50 per cent

That is not correct. One event does not depend on the other of course, but if you are talking about "in a row" then it depends.
I your example, after the 50 (and if you consider that as a "mark"), yes the % of losing the next one is of course 50%. But the chance of losing 50 in a row in 1M rolls is really close to 0% lol (you can't even get a result in the site http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-tools/streak-calculator/)

He lost after 100K rolls meaning that the chance should be 1% (22 rolls in 100K, not the 50 in your example lol, that is almost 0), wich makes it a "rare" event, and he was quite unlucky. I won't say the site is rigged or anything like that, 1% is rare, but it happens. Of course that if that is happening to to many users then something is not correct.

But people should really pay attention to that, and not just say that is normal or wtv, and that martingale sucks (whitch is true, it sucks). That will just let the casinos do wtv they want because we accept everything.
2243  Economy / Gambling / Re: What percent of internet Bitcoin poker is Luck vs Skill? on: July 14, 2015, 01:11:29 PM
i think to play in gambling we need luck and skill
so i choice 50% luck and 50% skill.
and dont forget to play poker we need be patience.

if its a 50/50 then probably i should do always call the All-in button because i have a 50% winning percentage

No its definately not 50/50.

In real-life you can win easily just by looking at people's expressions. Doing it online that's impossible.

I really can't agree with that. Like I said I'm not a good player, but I know one (Michel Dattani, you can google him if you want).
He is not a close friend but we have friends in common and we were together in college. I remember him playing in 8 online tables while in classes lol
He started online and he continue to play online and also in live tournaments.
They can use a lot of information online (provided by software like "holdem manager", etc). That expression thing is more like movie stuff, of course you use all the information available to be able to see if the investment you are making on that hand is profitable in the long run, but your primary source of information is not based on expressions etc (because you can fake tells, it's not that hard. If you have problems with that, you can just act "nervous" all the time (shaking hands, tremble voice etc), and you cant tell when it is for real or not).
All players have a strategy and a pattern, and "what you do" is calculate the odds of winning against the range of hands that match the pattern of your opponent and see if it is worth it. And to do that, online poker, with a sotware like "holdem manager" makes your life much easier.

Of course you don't see that in low levels, and yes, in those low stakes is very hard to win, because players are just there busting their money (most of the times free money) and playing with luck, and you will have a hard time beating that even when you play well.
But that will also happen live. You can't do shit if you are against players that will keep going all in and doing stupid stuff. You would beat them in the long run, but the problem is that you are not playing just against them. You will win most of the times with solid play, but another jerk will just come and take the place of the maniac you just beat, and he will eventually beat you in a bad beat and then lose it to another lol.

Still poker is still mostly skill, and the only way to survive is to have a good bankroll management.
I don't want to offend anyone, but everyone that says poker is luck, or 50% luck or even 40% or 30% luck, just does not know how to play the game, and is probably one of those maniacs that shoves all in just for fun, or can't really justify their plays.
2244  Economy / Gambling / Re: freebit.co.in multiplay system on: July 14, 2015, 12:32:53 PM
You can use this streak calculator. I believe the math is accurate. (not that I can do it well, but it matches what I have been reading around, that seems legit)
http://www.sportsbookreview.com/betting-tools/streak-calculator/
So in this case, 22 streaks in like 1M rolls is about 11%. No idea how many rolls you did on auto-bet.

Anyway, martingale is very risky, for me all gambling is very risky when you have a house edge. I believe in poker and sports betting, but for me dices etc is only for "fun" or very short term profit if you are lucky, so you should only risk what you are comfortable in losing.
And yes it will suck, but if you accept that you will probably lose what you are risking it does not upset you so much.
2245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: tennis bets on Fairlay - Winnings: 1 BTC on: July 13, 2015, 12:55:43 PM
Just started following this thread today. Do you think you can keep a track of your progress, like number of bets, winnings and losses?
It's just easier for someone that just started to follow.

I do have a question for you. Do you prefer punting over trading? No one seems to trade in this forum, I only see records of punting.
2246  Economy / Gambling / Re: What percent of internet Bitcoin poker is Luck vs Skill? on: July 13, 2015, 12:49:21 PM
Im 50/50, watch Daniel Negraneu call reads on guys and tell me it doesn't take some skill. Chip managment is a skill and knowing when to fold is a giant skill to. But you have to be getting atleast decent cards to really collect, take a bad beat on someone where you just kill them. Even the most skillfull players have bad bad weeks/months/years.

Yes they have bad beats, but with good bankroll management you can stay in the game so that the bad beats aren't just able to make a mess. And saying that they last for years is just to much I think.
In the long turn either the "luck" or the "bad luck" will just disappear, that's pure statistics. You can't be lucky all the time or unlucky all the time unless you are cheating. So 50/50 is just to much.

I mean can someone make a living in a work (because poker is work for professional poker players) that requires 50% of luck?
2247  Economy / Gambling / Re: Discussion | Enter Gambling Bet with 52.4288 BTC using Martingale Technique ! on: July 13, 2015, 12:42:19 PM
There is a long topic about martingale, you should check it. Anyway I think it's a bad idea. You do have a big bank, and a 20 streak is a rare event (like 38% after a 1M rolls), but the main problem is that you will just not be allowed to double every single time because of the betting limits. A casino always have a limit that will force you to not be able to double after a not so rare event like 15 streaks etc. After that you will be with a big loss that will almost be impossible to recover because eventually you will face another loss with the bet limit etc etc
2248  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help me decide the name of my bitcoin gambling website on: July 13, 2015, 12:34:47 PM
Just voted and I prefer Bitsharp, but wouldn't Bitshark be more ralated to gambling.
Maybe this is because I play poker (although I like betting to), but normally, at least in poker, we call a good player a "shark".

Anyway if you really prefer the "sharp" term, I would definitely go for the shorter one (bitsharp) because it's easier to remember.
2249  Economy / Gambling / Re: What percent of internet Bitcoin poker is Luck vs Skill? on: July 13, 2015, 12:29:15 PM
I'm not a good poker player, so I need luck, but I do not hesitate to say that poker is mostly skill.
Luck helps, as it helps in any aspect of life, but poker is about the long turn so you can only get a profit from it if you are skilled, because no one can just "have luck" all the time, so they can get profit in the long turn.

There are professional poker players, I know one, he was in college with me (he is not a super well known pro like Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, etc etc), but he goes to all those big tournaments in Europe like EPT etc, and he gets to the prizes regularly and can make a very good living of it.
So yes poker is skill, otherwise you would not get professional poker players. They are not the "lucky ones", that simple does not exist. They are the ones that know how to play and can make a good bank management etc etc.

Hi guys!
First I would like to congratulate you for the great service. I just tried the site and placed my first bet, and everything went fine.
Second I would like to know if you will ever consider to make a service like betfair, and allow users to bet against a market.
2253  Economy / Gambling / Re: Easysportbet: Bet on Betfair with Bitcoin on: July 10, 2015, 09:42:54 AM
I'm sorry I don't understand.

I deposit in btc and you convert to euros.
Then I make my bets, and you submit my bets to the betfair market.
The profits are converted to btc and go to my account.

Whats the advantage in doing this, and not doing all of this by myself?
Like depositing btc on neteller, and then depositing to betfair. I know like this I don't get to withdraw in btc, but you can't do it to. You have to convert btc->eur and eur->btc, like me.

Not criticizing you business, just trying to understand it, because I use betfair and I'm trying to understand if this could be good for me.

I have another question.
Since this game is based on fast reaction, won't the internet connection make a big difference on the results?

We had a recent update where your score compensates for ping. (Distance from your pc to the server).

You can try the game in the 0K Room for free. No need to deposit bits. No need to register with an email.

Yes I have been trying, but I never get any players there so I can't tell if I'm doing well or not.
I will give it a try in a real tournament xD

Do you have an ideal time to play? (like peaks on the server)
I was just trying it out but there is no one there.

Have you consider making bots for the free to play version? (just to have some competitive experience)

Now is a good time to play we have 2 of us playing  Tongue so you was just trying it out was you, was it the free room or 0.5?

I was, and I am, trying it out first. I'm in the 0k room, but I'm playing alone

Hello,

The ideal time would be when we host Tournaments. Please see the OP for more info on tournaments.

Playing against the computer is a thought we are having for the near future.

Are there tournaments in the 0K room to?

It seems that most of you posting here should read a trading book called " TRADING IN THE ZONE" by Mark Douglas. And you will find out why you lost all your money, its not about the house edge its about emotions. That's why its easy for whales to bet large sums of money without fear and they make big bucks.

I read that one, and I recommend it. I must agree that most of my losses were because of emotions and nothing else. And that goes for all gambling, not just trade. Although I always risked only what I was allowed to loose I'm pretty sure that some of my controlled losses could be lower or sometimes even turn in to profit if I had remain in control and used mu strategy and analysis instead of trying to recover from something I though it was unfair like a bad beat in poker or things like that.
