Is your company ever planning to make a come back?
2362  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 17, 2013, 10:53:33 PM
Someone quickly fire off an email to ask if they can 100% transfer their [funded] orders to a shiny new 600Gh/s system?

If not, fire away on the lawsuits cause it does none of their customers any good. LOL

They will take out any 600GH/s orders along with it.

You can transfer but not at 100%.  There is a 10% transfer fee and you go to the end of the line.
Thanks for letting me know.
2363  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 17, 2013, 10:53:05 PM

LMAO, as predicted. They are Stal'in their customers for more time. They are so fucked it is not even funny.

They are trying to clear the books folks. Inaba's crazy antics couldn't get people to cancel. So they must use a bigger, badder carrot on a stick. Help clear Sonny from future litigations...Convert today®
2364  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 17, 2013, 10:49:38 PM
Someone needs to make a video "Hitler discovers 'the Monarch'"
Grin  Grin  Oh, yeah.  Really!

Need help with the stalin joke. Every good hitler video has a good stalin joke

BFL is Stal'in

Stal---in real hard.

When will the deliver though.... in about two or three weeks?

Nah more likely 2015.
This is the funny thing, if you buy now, you have to assume that BFL will be around to actually deliver it.

This is either a nasty strategy by BFL to keep themselves from being sued to kingdom come, or a strategy to fill the coffers with blind sheeple who can't help but gamble.

It is like a bar that is on fire, will you still host the next guest inside it as the place burns to the ground?

2368  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [MOD] Proposed Avalon noise reduction/cooling increase for B1/B2/B3 on: August 17, 2013, 05:05:29 PM
Simply move the three modules to the right (by one slot) and you'll get a bit better cooling across the three modules. I did it already about a month ago during my upgrade and it worked just as good as the person who figured that out before me.
2369  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [MOD] Proposed Avalon noise reduction/cooling increase for B1/B2/B3 on: August 17, 2013, 05:01:32 PM
I can't imagine this would make a significant difference.
@ Dogie

If you use tape then you remove a bit of cooling surface from being effective. If you do it for alot of different holes, (bottom, top, sides, then that is a significant amount. You may cause unnecessary insulation on the aluminum surfaces.

*doesn't understand thermodynamics, post ignored*
Very cheeky,

Look, you covered the top of the heatsink in tape. That creates a minor hot spot inside the heatsink (along the top). Why? That would be because the tape is not allowing the top surface of the aluminum heatsink to come in contact with air. Therefore part of the heatsink will retain heat unevenly.

Don't quote thermodynamics if you didn't even notice that much. Cheesy Roll Eyes

~The reason there is so much hosility, is because Josh appears to have some wierd superiority complex when it comes to customers.  He ignores totally legitimate questions and instead chooses to insult the asker rather than divulge the truth. He have over $5k of my money and as such, I wanna know what is going on.

All I want is the truth.  But that seems difficult for Josh atm, leaving Jody to cope with all the questions from customers.

It was mainly this fact that put me on this crusade. If he was civil, I wouldn't be here, but Josh dictated the path.
Same here.

Josh creates all sorts of unnecessary assholes. He leaves an indelible impression on the community...when he doesn't even have to.

BFL needs to evaluate his contribution and discharge his ass. Probably deduct from his payments all the ungodly image he has created and centered on them in the community.

It's not difficult, you start typing and it all comes together....

The problem is the truth hounds him, that is where his real torment lays.

You can't say anything when you are truly fucked.

Even their own customers are truly fucked. Everyone knows it, they just live in lala land.
2373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL current state of affairs on: August 17, 2013, 12:20:20 PM
I wish there wasn't so much hostility on the board between the community and Josh. We might be able to get more information about why things are taking so long without turning the discussion into personal attacks.

BFL has a huge interest in ramping their production up since if they can really clear the queue there's a ton more money to be made. I'm glad the Jalapenos and Little Singles are moving, but the rate of Singles is a bit concerning. Could we get some more info about why the production has been so uneven across the different models please?
You must be new here...

So much hatred on this thread.  I'm intrigued as to how many prepubescent teenagers got their hands on enough cash to warrant such dark comments.

I've seen more maturity on EA gaming forums and that says a lot.

Chillax kids.  It'll be done when it's done.  Wink
Lulz comparing an EA gaming forum where kids parents buy them games, with a multi million dollar investment in a company that has failed to live up to it's stated performance and absconded with the hardware the funds paid for.

Go back to EA please kid.
I won't let you talk bad about BFL! <shakes fist>  Grin Cheesy

By the way, don't bash the kids and their games, chances are they are playing games while building the next Jally on the line. (Little Singles and Singles might be difficult for them...hence the delay...you know, on account that it is a more involved build.)
2375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Have you ordered your HashFast Baby Jet yet? on: August 15, 2013, 03:41:35 PM
IMHO, too expensive at the current difficulty.
Same thought crossed my mind.

By the time it ships, they will surely give the price a haircut.

I think they have been trying, Yifu is a difficult man to get in touch with at the moment.

No, they are not. I'm in steamboats group-buy, and he is doing fuck-all. He's making maybe 1 update every two weeks, saying "we'll wait". I hate to say it but his failure to reply to emails and keep the topics up-to-date, tells me that even the group buy organizers might be taking a similar route.

Everybody needs to step up in their group buys and show the organizers that we mean fucking business right now. We are all losing more and more money and we're way past the point where it would even be sensible to consider investing in these chips.
And...there it starts.

Now the wolves are starting to turn on the main wolves. Eating one another like cannibals. How long will it take until this becomes a shitstorm?

Anyone?

Agreed, pretty sad to see if I'm being honest. One of the reasons I got into BTC was because of the community spirit and everyone working together for the same cause.

The group buy organisers have put a lot of time and work in and put themselves on the line, they don't deserve to be blamed for this at all.

I also know that organisers have been trying to contact Yifu.
Well, no one blames them if they threw Yifu over the side of an ocean liner. The problem is they forgot that they are handcuffed to him by virtue of association.

So now the angry mob will probably want to throw them over the side as well.
2378  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 13, 2013, 09:27:33 PM
Unfortunately, Avalon chips are so inefficient, that the delay means negative ROI by the time you get your boards built and mining. Even if Yufi decided to refund everyone and give you the chips for free!

The recent difficulty jump has made any ASIC over 3watts per GH/s not viable unless you get dirt cheap electricity. Which means ASICminer, Avalon, BFL are now all pretty worthless, and orders should be cancelled until a more efficient chip is available. The only savior would be if we see a massive rise in BTC/USD price which, to my surprise, has not moved to reflect the change in difficulty. I expected BTC/USD to be back around $200 now, with miners refusing to sell new coins for any less.
Thats a surprising comment coming from your, Erk.

The inability for ASICs to cover electricity costs is a serious issue. Look out ASICminer shareholders!
Without a doubt, there will be an epic tumble.

Why didn't Bitsyncom get one?

One word:  China

He is an American... just have them add his name right? One email all that is required.
There goes BFL's refunds!

Oh wait...they weren't offering any willingly. LOL
