BFL is over. I just got a call while being on vacation that no one will be getting paid to work there any more, so anyone stupid enough to workwithout pay will still be there. I'm going to miss my best bud Bruce Peterson, who showed me the ropes on how to make heat without light and watch the satoshis flow. And for the love of Satoshi wash your ass prick.

If anyone is truly interested in making sure they don't see another scamming day hurry up and call Capital One to let them know that they'd be making one of the biggest mistakes trying to salvage that snakepit.

Rock on

edited for typo...
Wait, does this mean I still get paid?

What about my best buddy Slok? Will he still get a legal defense fund against all and sundry?

Don't you read their twitter? They've updated api. You need to generate new keys to work properly.
Thanks, that is exactly the answer we needed.

@ Gleb what are the terms of your RO?

Technically, your RO won't stop you from talking with friends/family/everyone else.
So technically, you can talk to us or anybody about your meandering thoughts on BFL.
As long as you are directing your comments to us and aren't posting any non-public information,
 there shouldn't be a problem.

Again, what are the terms of your RO?

I color coded it to encourage reading. Smiley

@ Sonny

Considering most of these issues were caused by Inaba (Josh) I recommend as that you send Inaba the defense bill. As he seems to be largely the cause of your court battles (in my opinion).

Just a suggestion, you don't have to follow through with this suggestion. In fact, you can always foot the bill for Inaba (Josh) sake as I know you are a kind soul and it is an issue between you and Inaba. Thanks for being a great friend and being there for him. I really respect you for holding up [more than your share] of the "mistakes".

It is backed up. Including the list of apparent post numbers that were made non-public or were simply deleted by Slok and Inaba.

I am sure that the FTC also did the same.

Be nice to have that up somewhere so we can have that resource as well.
If you want the public resource it is available. The private ones are for law enforcement and aren't in our hands anymore. I will see what I can do.

Edit: https://web.archive.org/web/20150315110719/https://forums.butterflylabs.com/
Publicly available copy.

Edit2: By the way, in case it isn't obvious, my only association with Gleb is online on this forum. We rarely speak in private and never through any other means. If it isn't obvious there are already other people looking into BFL and the various Bitcoin\USD transfer issues. The forum is literally just one group of people.

While I don't have much to do with the other subsets it is pretty obvious that there is alot more going on from different directions than is obvious on the surface. It is the primary reason that I found it interesting that despite when Gleb goes dark it really (strangely) makes no difference. I found it internally ironic when Gleb pointed that out publicly. I wonder if they contacted him too to provide information and details.

I can't think of any other reason why Gleb would bother investigating BFL so deeply.

He is/was literally the only guy who was yelling at the top of his roof about happenings at BFL. What I ultimately wonder is where the other groups started from or who started those separate investigations. Lets just all hope they pounce before the FTC completes its own case.

(Actually, it makes one wonder if they actually found out and that is why they took down the site?)

Edit3: If you have also been in contact, DON'T say anything. Keep it mum. Don't want to give BFL a running head start on anything.

Do I sense a panic run on the BTC-e bank?

Question: How many Monarchs can an entity run via 200 Amps?
How many people have you been instrumental in taking down, when you are nothing more than a thief yourself?

I am not an "Inaba" (a sub-species of humanoid life) but I believe that hurt my feelings. Imagine if I had been of the Inaba clan. Ouch.

Messing around with ex-husbands is one thing and could be dangerous especially if you don't know the history. If you've got any real evidence to suspect that Josh Zerlan is a danger to those children report it to child protective services so they can properly verify your claims. That is if you really care about the welfare of these children. If this is just messing around and just joking it is a pretty sick and twisted joke.
Agreed.

Toying with CPS and childrens emotions are well beyond simple trolling.

Edit: In other words, if you can't imagine the sheer pain of watching your son or daughter forcibly removed from your custody (and household) for even one moment, you shouldn't be messing with CPS for anything but a (extremely) legitimate reason.

(To put it into perspective: I can only imagine that in 5 minutes a parent would feel the pain equivalent to 10 BFL customers losing their homes due to a bad deal (a pre-order) gone wrong. All of that condensed into 5 minutes. Yes, that kind of sucks to be felt. Don't do it. Two wrongs do not make a right.)

Hopefully Josh secures an RO against a "MonumentalAsshole" at thee address "Bitcointalk.org".

Is it hard to do? I dunno, but worth the effort. :p

[Speculation?]
Edit: Personally, it is my belief that Josh watched that video with the handicap jerking, in a secure room where it is not visible to his children. Then probably posted a comment about it online as gleb said, as that other alias.

I recall technowledgy said something about Josh's behavior, but I'd like to assume that the man in question is (somehow) a normal human being who can ingest that kind of (disturbing) video content, comment on it and immediately turn around and hug a loved one without losing a beat in his day. He may be overqualified as a father if that is so.

Not everyone can pull off watching some disturbing video and still remain a normal human being. What makes the guy go after that content is the thing that really calls my attention. Just a mere curiosity considering the background that Gleb has pointed out numerous times in the past.

I assume he is not a sexual deviant as Gleb describes?
1537  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: May 01, 2015, 06:29:59 PM
Well, in my opinion, as long as you cut out any threatening behavior you are pretty much okay. (you shouldn't be threatening each other anyway)

I don't know what is in the RO but you are free to speak your mind on this forum about BFL and lay down any facts or personal conspiracy theories you might have about BFL. Like I have said before Inaba/Josh hasn't been around here for a long time (maybe he has an RO?) so you can easily establish that you are minding your own business and doing whatever it is you are doing among online acquaintances.

Now if you modify your behavior slightly there isn't much that he can do. But you should try to have that RO dismissed in either case. Or better yet, come up with some chump change and do the same if you feel you have a legitimate case. <shrug>

You guys wanna hear something funny?

There's finally be a conviction pertaining to BFL.

Here's the funny part.

It was against me.

I lost.

Quote
“Are you notified if a person you have a restraining order against moves?”
No. Unless the person were for some reason required to inform authorities of a change of address, neither the police nor the court would even know, and a restraining order doesn’t prohibit a person from moving (except, perhaps, within the vicinity of the petitioner).

In other words, Inaba/Josh can't go out of his way to contact you or be interactively within your presence. Since you regularly chat here and Inaba/Josh is no where to be seen since who knows how long ago, he couldn't effectively come online and contact you after he has a RO against you. As it would be a case of him going out of his way to contact you. (a point of active intervention I guess?)

I don't believe there would be much changed by an RO. In a way, Inaba/Josh has to actively stay away from you and any contact with you. You certainly won't be showing up in Kansas "any time soon"| or in "Two Weeks®".

If he shows up and attempts to contact you or anyone in your "circle" of acquaintances or online vicinity/portals you should report it to the court. Sometimes an RO can be a double edged sword? (irony)
1539  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why BTC-E price surge? on: April 28, 2015, 06:31:41 AM
Someone slipped on their keyboard and bought up 10,000 BTC up to $270, everyone elses bots saw these and their rules triggered.

First and second bumps were profit, then everything following that was tremendous loss for those who bought in @240 thinking it was going up?

Expect very depressed rates as an incoming correction. (IMO)
Everyone who purchased is likely going to dump as it goes lower and lower.
The person who's hand slipped and purchased 10,000 BTC is going to have to dump it or lose it.

Expect a bum rush to 190 or 150 as a consequence.

Dude are you in KC already? What time is your hearing?

Someone needs to live stream it.
I take it that he failed to appear in court.
