Looks like the Mining by the GH/s crowd will need to start worrying...

Either the units have progressively failed and they can't replace them OR they are turning them off over time.

What do you think? I'd like to know your comments on this.

https://eclipsemc.com/

In May it was at the high 1900's, now we are in the low 1600's.
That is roughly a 25% decrease in ~2 months.
At this rate I expect the viability of their mining operation to come into doubt in the next 2 months. If not sooner.

OMG! We were vindicated!
....I wonder if they were thinking of the FTC or us when they had to lay off everyone and close up shop?

 Wink

Noddy, why are you like that uncool guy who manages to make it unannounced into a party and suddenly strikes up a conversation about "PELICANS! PELICANS!"?

Seriously, read the atmosphere. Speak (somewhat) on subject. Gleb is doing a "gangbang" (picked that up from teenwebdirectory!) on Ownbys past in the bitcointalk living room, and here you are, yelling about "PELICANS!" when nobody is even talking about any of that.

Now, if you'd please, your breaking Glebs rhythms. His hips might give out at any time. The conversation might even turn out flaccid if you continue to yell about "PELICANS!" at everything as if someone cared.

.................Wait, if you want we can start talking about the Penguins. That is an invitation to something complex and very deep.

Here is the biggest COCKROACH in the face of the earth, Jeff Ownby! https://twitter.com/jeffownby
Ok.

Takes a look....seems that there is cheating going on in that guys relationship? Don't really care though. I guess someone should let the wife know though.

1488  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: June 26, 2015, 03:57:45 PM
I for one have no idea what he is saying. I have zero clue as to what is going on in that mind of his.

All I understood was that something was found about Ownby? Something about a bad if program statement that is covered in southern charm. (full of procedural errors....I think? (o_o)?

Any idea what that is all about?
1489  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: June 24, 2015, 08:39:32 PM
Ya'll wait just a gosh darn minute here.  Do you mean to tell me these BFL F^<K3R5 are into under age snatch???  Say it ain't so!  Shocked

H@shKraker
I dunno, I haven't visited any of those porn sites.

Do they have "teens" below a certain "age"?
I thought porn companies had an obligation to keep records on every one of their actors [ad infinitude]?
Does Ownby comply with that law?
You tell me.

I am all ears on what you discover at those websites.

Thanks again, Chris!

"In their final defense, Defendants reserve the right to “amend their Answer to assert additional defenses” that might arise later in this proceeding. This is not a proper defense but at best an attempt to circumvent the amendment procedures set forth in Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 15. As such, courts routinely have struck down similar attempts, finding that Rule 15 provides the proper avenue by which a defendant may add defenses to his answer."[/tt]
"Litigation regarding Defendants’ nineteen affirmative defenses would prejudice the FTC and consumers harmed by Defendants’ scheme.[...],” the FTC will be forced to expend considerable resources in discovery just to be put on fair notice of what Defendants are alleging. And because Defendants’ affirmative defenses fail as a matter of law, allowing them to remain will needlessly prolong the litigation, require the FTC to expend its limited resources, and waste assets that otherwise would be available to compensate injured consumers. This is the very prejudice that courts have found justify striking insufficient defenses."[/tt]

Wow, and then to think there are people here who actually defend these "lawyers" as being "professionals"... Undecided

I am looking for a "Nose bleeding LOL" meme. What was recently posted was far and beyond your normal LOL.

Their defense team is literally a joke. (In my opinion)

Hey, BFL, if you forgot to tell the FTC about the following wallet, don't bother, for they know about it now: https://www.walletexplorer.com/address/1ERVh27gZfPSDaaagL9R3W12xpMJ38ZBA7

#AskLEO

I'm sure Sonny Vleisides, while clutching his toothbrush, will have no problem whatsoever explaining to a judge why he sent bitcoins to Jeff Ownby's online casino, BetVIP.com, via the above BWA myriad times that probably wasn't declared to the FTC. He had no problem writing off Josh's personal gambling dept under the guise of some nonemployee compensation that Jody Drake opted to never explain to me in spite of over a dozen emails sent BFL's way. Then, Sonny can explain the following:

HashTrade: $1M USD worth of BTC to BFL not using BitPay.
BFL: Forging the transaction to convert the $ to BTC.
BFL + BitPay + HashTrade: Press Release to show the world the transaction is real.
BFL: Refunds $1M USD to HashTrade via unknown BWA to unknown BWA.
BFL: Converts ~$10M USD worth of bitcoins stemming form years-old sales and mined bitcoins to fiat via BitPay to fiat disposed to bank accounts unknown.

IF THAT ISN'T CONSIDERED MONEY LAUNDERING, THEN I'M A FUCKIN' IDIOT!

"Bruno, you're not an idiot, but I'm only saying that so that you don't post a pic of my master bathroom. Wink! Wink!"
You've hit it on the head.

Will BFL get fooked again?

http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2413776/elliptic-looks-to-fuel-bitcoin-adoption-in-enterprise-with-big-bang-visualisation-tool

"Compliance officers can finally have peace of mind, knowing that they have performed real, defensible diligence to ascertain that their bitcoin holdings are not derived from the proceeds of crime."
The Bitcoin Big Bang tool works on two levels. First, it clusters transactions - which are already public record - into entities, and then identifies who they belong to by taking information from sources such as newspaper reports, social networks and forums.
Elliptic will launch an API for Bitcoin Big Bang next month, and told us that it has already received plenty of interest.

https://www.elliptic.co/anti-money-laundering/

Sonny and Ownby just took a dump in their pants...

Gleb, get me the FCC on line 1 Pronto.
Line 2 is reserved for any calls from the DEA or the FBI.
Line 3 is reserved for Bitpay cold calls when they try to get us to not to go up to the office on the third floor. (Make sure the forwarder is working, check)

This post is a product of my opinion on this matter:

They've been stuck at August 6 2014 for more than a month now: https://support.butterflylabs.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/31/0/what-is-the-current-status-of-the-refund-queue

And now they have this lovely excuse

Quote
Currently, the company has very little money. We are trying to survive and generate enough revenue to pay refunds to all of our amazing and wonderful customers who have been waiting such a long time. We cannot apologize enough for the delays you have experienced. And we cannot emphasize enough how much we want to send your refunds.

In an effort to survive longer, the company has laid off all employees (including managers and executives). The employees who are still working are doing so without a guarantee that they will be paid. Because of our small staff, we sincerely apologize if we are unable to respond to your emails, tickets and voicemails quickly during this time.

We will notify you by email when your refund has been sent to the destination you have specified. We hope that we will have the opportunity to contact you soon.

As always, we thank you for your tremendous patience.

We are still, currently, refunding requests made on August 6th, 2014.

LOL at "amazing and wonderful customers". How wonderful and amazing was it when you denied them their rightful refunds? "All sales final" my ass.

PuertoLibre uses a decoder ring to decode this into:

Currently, the company has very little of your money. We are trying to survive. We need to generate enough revenue to pay refunds to all of our amazing and wonderful customers who have been waiting such a incredibly long time.

We cannot apologize.
We cannot emphasize enough how much we want your refunds otherwise we would sent every penny immediately regardless of the consequences of our very own questionable and perhaps illegal practices.

In an effort to survive longer, the company has laid off all employees (including managers and executives). The employees who are still working are doing so without a guarantee that they will be paid. Because of our small staff, we found a sincere sounding reason for why we are unable to respond to your emails, tickets and voicemails quickly or at all during this time.

We will notify you by email when your refund has been sent to the destination you have specified. This we write with laughter in our hearts. We hope that we will have the opportunity to contact you "soon" or in Two Weeks®, whichever is sooner.

As always, we thank you for your bhudda like patience.

We are still, currently, de-prioritizing refunding requests made on August 6th, 2014. We are excluding of course any monies paid to our employees during our crooked business practices. So if you see Josh moving around 500 or more bitcoins while reading BitcoinTalk.org, these are not yours, these are his. We will therefore not honor your refunds from these funds until we have paid our lawyers to defend us from you, our customer. Thanks for your understanding.

I haven't seen a dime from them, just empty words.  They owe me well over 8K with nothing to show for it.  Scam!!!

Call Helen Wong and Sonny's probation officer, especially the latter. The probation officer is in place to make sure that the public is safe from Sonny ripping off more people like the tens of millions of dollars he stole and used for his personal affairs garnered from mostly the elderly here in the US.
Got an office or phone number we can call?

Helen Wong, DC Bar # 997800
Federal Trade Commission600
Pennsylvania Ave., N.W.Mail Stop CC-10232
Washington, D.C. 20580
202-326-3779 (Wong)202-326-3216
Facsimile: 202-326-3768
hwong@ftc.gov

U.S. Probation Officer Courtney N. Pierce
Probation and Pretrial Services Office
Charles Evan Whittaker Courthouse
400 East 9th Street
Kansas City, MO 64106
Phone: (816) 512-5000

Call Ms Pierce tomorrow and she'll immediately call Sonny, whereupon Sonny WILL lie to her explaining how either he already paid you or he's doing such as they speak. If neither, Sonny can explain to the judge where that smell stems from, with it most likely coming from the shit in Sonny's underwear.

Malicious Prosecution.

I recall that Josh ears perked up when I mentioned that to someone else a long time ago.
I wonder if Ms. Wong schooled him on the meaning of these words today. I should do a parody on his post.

Reply to this post, let us change the thread name:

For those of you who are too pansy to go pick up the phone and reach for your own money from that guys pocket....

....Someone else will take your refund cash....

And....

Eventually you'll be out of luck.

(Stop being afraid, and ask for the persons listed above when you get the front desk or secretary, leave your number on the voicemail if they aren't there to pick up immediately. They will get back to you eventually.)

In my opinion.
Owning BFL hardware is like owning a butterphone.

It's pretty on the outside, but damn, pretty much fooked in every sense of the word.

I think the last person we need to tell to focus on anything "relevant" would be Gleb, the Scam Buster Extraordinaire. I don't see anything wrong with Bruno voicing his thoughts on these scamming thieves.

Puerto, you are also someone who had to deal with Josh on a personal level, right?
What? You mean the incident with the W[r]ong statement made by Josh on behalf of the court case against BFL?

I only know of the statements made by Josh made the news sites on Google. No idea if the guy was approached to comment on his exuberant statements.

Reference:

He seems to think that I gave him up to the FTC/***/*** in the way of "information".
All I do know is that I didn't pull a "Judas" on him. He really did it all himself.

Bruno, is another story though.

====================

By the way, leeroyjenkins/Gleb, why is BFL (allegedly) laying off all their employees if they won the court case only a couple of weeks ago...?
Well, I REALLY don't understand? Did BFL make an accounting error?

I dunno, I am not the smartest tack on this site. I just feel/know looking at all these events in hindsight that if Josh had been fired a long time ago, BFL would have probably have alot less problems today. Actually, all in my opinion, I think the products would have probably have come out on time and ahead of schedule if they had found someone with more experience to be the driving and interacting force behind the company.

Subtract Josh's shenanigans from the equation and you end up with a healthier looking company.
Add Josh's shenanigans to the equation and you end up with shuttered BFL. (Hum, interesting story really!)

Jody was a smart gal when she saw nothing wrong. Now she just has to appear in court to prove that was the smartest decision as a general manager. I am absolutely sure she knows what she is doing, even right now. Right?
I have ample confidence that her decisions are the right ones.
1500  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: June 11, 2015, 10:24:46 PM

Never before seen pic of Jody Drake and John Mutrux's children of their first litter.
Why do you bother to attack them personally?

They have enough "issues" to point out as it is. No need to insult their children. (or lack of any children?)

=====================

Why not Focus on the relevant stuff that this forum would actually care about. Like for example if BFL moved any money after they stopped paying employees and/or customers. Or filed for bankruptcy protection.

Just because they stopped paying their employees (allegedly) that does not mean they didn't have the money to do so. It could just be some kind of way of conserving funds until the next court date.
(I know, if we were talking about a normal company, you would assume they laid everyone off simply because they ran out of money. But in BFL's unique case that may not be the actual story?)

Why not ask the folks who worked at BFL to produce the NDA they were asked/forced to sign. That would probably be an eye popping thing to read...
