The motherfucker is online every god damn day (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=68196) but he chooses not to reply or give more information.

We. Are. Being. Played. Big. Time.

And the worst thing is you all swallow it like willing slaves. "hurr let's wait it out". NO. Pressure your group buy admins to start demanding refunds ASAP.

I'm gonna have to agree. Sebastian, Zefir, Steamboat, Bizwoo, whoever else; we need to band together and pressure YiFu to make it right.

A few sample chips showing up are NOT acceptable. YiFu needs to provide tracking numbers as of yesterday, for full 10,000 chip shipments. Some compensation for late delivery would be welcome, but the guy can't even respond to his customers more than once a month.  Tongue

I think they have been trying, Yifu is a difficult man to get in touch with at the moment.

Where's that Chinese customs docket proving the chips from TSMC have been detained and that wasn't just flakey BS?

I think they have been trying, Yifu is a difficult man to get in touch with at the moment.

No, they are not. I'm in steamboats group-buy, and he is doing fuck-all. He's making maybe 1 update every two weeks, saying "we'll wait". I hate to say it but his failure to reply to emails and keep the topics up-to-date, tells me that even the group buy organizers might be taking a similar route.

Everybody needs to step up in their group buys and show the organizers that we mean fucking business right now. We are all losing more and more money and we're way past the point where it would even be sensible to consider investing in these chips.

Its an issue with Avalon and Yifu specifically.   They are being negligent, falsely advertising, and causing an economic loss to buyers / investors.  Someone in Nevada and New York needs to talk to a lawyer about suing BitSyncom LLC.  Unless the situation is remedied, I would not recommend doing business with Yifu / Avalon again.

Unfortunately, Avalon chips are so inefficient, that the delay means negative ROI by the time you get your boards built and mining. Even if Yufi decided to refund everyone and give you the chips for free!

The recent difficulty jump has made any ASIC over 3watts per GH/s not viable unless you get dirt cheap electricity. Which means ASICminer, Avalon, BFL are now all pretty worthless, and orders should be cancelled until a more efficient chip is available. The only savior would be if we see a massive rise in BTC/USD price which, to my surprise, has not moved to reflect the change in difficulty. I expected BTC/USD to be back around $200 now, with miners refusing to sell new coins for any less.

The inability for ASICs to cover electricity costs is a serious issue. Look out ASICminer shareholders!

Here is a mining ROI calculator with presets for most popular miners

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com don't forget to set your local electricity price correctly first. The default is 15cents/kWh mine is 24cents!

One is an indication of the other but correlation is not causality. I don't think they will stay coupled during the ASIC-led difficulty upswing.

Another Tidbit: nothing to do with yifu or avalon

http://online.wsj.com/article/AP74746148a3f345cfbf5b81767f6022bd.html?KEYWORDS=bitcoin

are the walls closing in?

This has everything to do with Yifu and Avalon.

The guy who wrote the article is the same guy that was burnt in last weeks article by their unscrupulous PR exercise. He sounds pretty pissed off about Bitcoin scams and would probably love to know the truth behind why he became part of one and was slipped false info...

A journalist should check his stories, not spread gossip.

Indeed. None the less a more interesting story, is what exactly has happened??

Wait, what? You mean that following a guy on Twitter that never followed Robin is not a good enough source for her (not him--I saw her pic) to pen a WSJ article? The bottom line is that this was a contrived PR campaign that backfired.

In which case miners will be soon forced to switch off to reduce the difficulty.

Shit! Difficulty approach 50 millions, and my AvalonB3 in way at while. Time to delivery estimated 1-2 weeks, and very possible growth difficulty to 70 millions for this time.
So, where I can buy voodoo dolls "Yifu" for Bitcoins? Now I have all another components for revenge: nitric acid, gas burner, shredder.

You have to buy the entire set consisting of CEOs and a COO of major ASIC-based bitcoin mining rig assembly companies: Nitric acid, gas burner and shredder not included, albeit extra pins can be pre-ordered with delivery in two weeks.

70 millions is optimistic. Next difficulty (estimate): 88,110,415 (source: http://bitcoindifficulty.com/)

Estimates on next adjustment right after an adjustment are spurious at best.  Give it a week before the actual hashrate starts to present itself and then a more accurate estimate can be had.

right, that projection is based on 0.45% of the dataset.  Smiley   (http://allchains.info)

Current Hash Rate: 610.145 TH,
Estimated in two weeks: 1023.518 TH

Amazing.

Edit: must be a mistake, can't be added that much in two weeks.

But historically, there has always been dumps before a new diff. update, and spikes just during the diff update.
Who in the world can arrange that? and why? the numbers wont be offset for long..

Already calmed down.  New Estimate:  56139097.86

Agreed, pretty sad to see if I'm being honest. One of the reasons I got into BTC was because of the community spirit and everyone working together for the same cause.

The group buy organisers have put a lot of time and work in and put themselves on the line, they don't deserve to be blamed for this at all.

I also know that organisers have been trying to contact Yifu.

Actually if they double the chips number or give the same amount of free Gen 2 chips thing would work out very well for everyone and it will be a big FU to BFL Smiley But i'm only dreaming...

Well, no one blames them if they threw Yifu over the side of an ocean liner. The problem is they forgot that they are handcuffed to him by virtue of association.

So now the angry mob will probably want to throw them over the side as well.
