2381  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Litecoin Cash ( LCC ) - censorship and false accusations. on: October 03, 2022, 10:40:47 PM
Your context is?

If you're referring that this alt is dying, that's not a surprise. What are the use case of it though? It's more like generic "fast transfer, small fee, etc." Then people call it hype until it become useless. Although based on CMC it just increased by 11%, not bad though but until when? Probably it will get dumped after.
2382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think this is gambling? [Collectibles & Gambling] on: October 03, 2022, 08:18:16 PM
Collectibles and collections are more in investments rather than gambling. Collecting doens't fall to any kind of gambling category where people bet and gain after a win from a certain events or sports.
Since it was bought in 2000's the value of it for today is already too high considering there still a market for it which really falls in investment idea of "buy low sell high".
2383  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can a thief benefit from his thefts? on: October 03, 2022, 08:07:16 PM
Soon as coins sent to a mixing service the chance it being traced becomes zero. Although crypto chain analysis services are growing and improving day by day. But still i dont know if they can still traced it but i would say it is already a goner. Unless the hacked cryptocurrency is a stablecoin where it can be freeze after a sanction.
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 433 Winners to split $4,015,156.265 6/55 Grand Lotto Jackpot on: October 03, 2022, 02:59:50 PM
but based on what I've read, it's not really impossible to have that huge numbers but what is rarer and mind-boggling are all the number combinations when you add it up ended n number 9
It's not really impossible to have such number of winners since most people participate to this kind of lottery have their own number patterns, analysis and etc. The winning result is just pure coincidence that is divisible by 9.

The senate hearing like i said will be a waste of time, PCSO will just show them the copy of all winning tickets, or those 433 will testified, and last sort is showing the machine or software used for generating random number result.

If there is cheating happened the questions are, why just now?
If not, so all the jackpot winners in the past were all fixed? If those were all fixed we should see a pattern of winners, like most of them have family related to PCSO, government, etc. but its not. I'll say it again, this is just pure coincidence.

~
Or you can use TryNinja's Ninjastic.space: https://ninjastic.space/search
I am sure you have heard of this search engine before.  Cheesy
I just stumbled this thread and want to share my experience using search.
Like everyone else (i guess) i actually use google search for bitcointalk stuffs more often. If it's more complicated, ninjastic.space search feature is the one i will use.
2386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has this been discussed before? on: October 02, 2022, 11:47:11 PM
Can a wallet be completely open source and still be centralised? Which one do you think makes more sense? Decentralised and open source or Closed source and centralised? Because I believe if a wallet is closed source then it's centralised, wrong ot right? Drop your opinions.
Open or closed source doesn't affect how decentralized or centralized the system is. Open/close source is for how the code was save to its repositories. In open source, people or devs can check and see the code, while the other is the opposite.

Being decentralized platform is something how the process is and how safe it is, that's why being open source for a decentralized platform is something necessary.

On the other hand, a "decentralized platform" as a closed source is suspicious and should not be trusted but still subjected since it will depend on what company it is being used.

You will be awe and also a funny thing how such so many number wins. Manipulation is quite possible but is hard to prove on how it works and it manipulated. Well, its all about being lucky and randomness of what numbers come out. I don't think senate probe will do something or debunk something. It will just a long process and a waste of money/budget there.
2388  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Newbie! Bitcoinceanup is a recommended site to gain Bitcoin knowledge on: October 02, 2022, 12:32:11 AM
Seriously, I was thinking the personal texts will be something like...a link to the site ? But I'm seeing that it's just kept as a word, are you seeing any kinda efficiency in that?
Yes, url in personal text is not clickable, it's just a plain text.

About efficiency, it's not as effective as signature though, but its better than avatar (IMO)
As you can copy the url in the PT then paste to URL bar, that's how i do it, i almost read every user's PT when reading their post since it's noticeable for me.

On the other hand, avatar is more on familiarization of the brand since its more attractive as it is an image.
2389  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Newbie! Bitcoinceanup is a recommended site to gain Bitcoin knowledge on: October 01, 2022, 11:59:03 PM
This campaign will be a great course that we can learn and partake in. Although I can’t wear signature or avatar now, hopefully I can join the campaign later in the future. Bitcoin deserves to be clean and debunked from all falsehood surrounding its existence.
Try to become a jr.member rank at least then to be able to wear the personal text also the signature.

Edit: You only need now 25 more activities to become jr member. Just be active for the next another 2 weeks or so you will be good then. Although there is no signature for jr.member rank in the campaign[1], but you can add characters there related to bitcoincleanup.

2390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 62nd independence to all Nigeria Bitcoiners on: October 01, 2022, 11:48:56 PM
being independent but not feeling free is really painful, an interesting topic for me to find info about nigeria,
That's the dark side of every independence day especially on third world country, not all country though, on some, it is just an announcement of the leader of the state.

but I am quite surprised that 27% of citizens use crypto for transactions, what about their fiat?
Considering that internet users[1][2] on Nigeria is almost 38%, 27% crypto users is pretty high IMO considering the situation of crypto there.

2391  Economy / Gambling / Re: Odds like 1xbet on: October 01, 2022, 04:52:43 PM
Don't let your fund and security get compromised just because a casino has better odds, house edge, games, etc. compare to other who has better security and will not lock your account for no reason.
Better use a known and reputed casino for you to enjoy things betting any games then be able to withdraw your funds after a win.
2392  Economy / Gambling / Re: Twitch is going to ban most crypto gambling streamers. Where will Drake go now? on: September 30, 2022, 11:54:00 PM
You're wrong here, Twitch doesn't ban gambling streamer e.g. Drake because he's gambling on sport betting, not luck based games e.g. slots, roulette, dice etc. The problem is Twitch banning the site e.g. Stake, if Stake separate his casino site and sportsbook site, of course they will can advertise on Twitch.

What do you mean exactly with this? If Stake, as a separate entity, goes live on Twitch that is okay? Stake is a gambling entity, and it's not safe from Twitch's ban since they are a gambling platform.
What i only understand is Drake's content on Twitch wont get banned only if he use sports betting content on his streams. Since twitch wont ban streams related to fantasy sports, poker and including sports betting.

Also, Stake wont get banned as a platform on Twitch, only the game related content like dice, slot, roulette, etc.
2393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Now I know why offline is very important with crypto wallet seeds on: September 30, 2022, 11:18:00 PM
Yes, because most or all of these malware only works and activate when the device is connected with the internet. A wallet in an offline device has really huge benefits when it comes to security.

While on the other hand, having anti-virus in an online device (except linus os),can avoid getting infected against malware but having knowledge on everything about malware/ads, virus is still huge factor for keeping security safe.
2394  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Users Cross Carpeting of Campaigns: on: September 29, 2022, 11:31:37 PM
Pretty normal for any kind of people either irl or online. Most people will jump to another if the work has better manager, rates, rules, estimated uptime of the campaign and etc. disregarding the time of when they applied. In short a job with better benefits.

Quote
If they know that the pay is too small, for the first sight, they should not apply for it and they should be patient for next one
The question is when it will be the next one, better to apply on the existing while you are waiting for better one, isn't it?

Quote
...you have disorganized the former manager's plan
I don't think so, i bet it's it's easy for them to clear and update the sheet.

2395  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning - Stay Away - Cyber.bet refuses to pay commission on: September 29, 2022, 03:17:27 PM
Cyber.Bet has bad reputation in this forum. They are inactive, almost two years already. Check this scam accusation thread[1] about them. No doubt that even if you are an affiliate or a user chance that you will faced an issue is high.

2396  Other / Meta / Re: Forum advertising space for free signature/avatar advertisement on: September 29, 2022, 01:56:24 PM
You can easily dedicate your personal text for it.
I did not change my avatar because this avatar is more branded than my username.
Oooff, you are right, i'm wearing them now, thanks for heads up :thumbs up emoji:

Sure, why not. If it reaches just one person who likes what they see, and they retweet it to their follower base where a couple of others do the same, you would have helped to spread awareness about the project. Talking about the initiative in local crypto and tech forums outside of Bitcointalk is another way to spread the word. You never know who you might reach.
Gotcha, followed the twitter handle (@BitcoinCleanup) and retweet most of the tweets.
About local crypto forums there's nothing unfortunately, but some local forums i've joined have crypto/bitcoin boards maybe that would suit there.
2397  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt Casino - New & Improved 🎰 1000+ Games, 6 BTC Welcome Bonus 🔥🃏⚽️ on: September 28, 2022, 11:29:16 PM
Welcome aboard!

Another new casino huh. This industry really grow much faster than anyone is expecting.

While it's good that we have you here, the site looks awesome too but selecting name isn't quite unique which will give confusions like everyone is saying.

About brand awareness the other existing (punt.com) will probably share the same fate whenever what other people are saying towards another and vice-versa. Although both and their supporters can clear confusions but it really is confusing lol.
2398  Other / Meta / Re: Forum advertising space for free signature/avatar advertisement on: September 28, 2022, 10:23:45 PM
I wish i'm in the chipmixer campaign to freely wear any avatar i liked to everytime i want (paging DarkStar_, just kidding).
Btw the site looks awesome too. Would really love to join advertising the cause, even not in this forum. Oh, i'll check my long lost twitter lol, maybe even just retweeting can help.
2399  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum 4.3.2 Relased on: September 28, 2022, 01:45:57 PM
New electrum version is released. No major updates though, more were bugs fixing. Check the release notes for more info.

* When creating new requests, reuse addresses of expired requests
   (fixes #7927).
 * Index requests by ID instead of receiving address. This affects the following commands: get_request, get_invoice, list_requests, list_invoices, delete_request, delete_invoice
 * Trampoline routing: remember routes that have failed. Try other routes instead of systematically raising tampoline fees.
 * Fix sweep to_local output from channel backup (#7959)
 * Harden build script for macOS binary: avoid using
precompiled wheels from PyPI for most packages (#7918)
 * The Windows/AppImage/Android binaries are now built on debian using the snapshot.debian.org archive instead of ubuntu. This should help with historical reproducibility. (#7926)

Download the app here[1] don't forget to verify signature though.

2400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 27, 2022, 11:49:42 PM
Hello,

Is it possible and legal to open an online casino without a license?
I have heard that a license only allows to put users in confidence
What do you think about this?
Not necessary, but don't expect people will come/register to your casino so easily. Doubt will always be there especially those people who describe "licensed casinos are legit, and the unlicensed are not" you will heard a lot them here.
Yes, licensed casino have huge advantage for user's confidence to use the platform without thinking they will get robbed. You need a lot work to do when opening an unlicensed casino though.
