Like I said before Guirassy is really a game changer for Stuttgart. We saw another example of it yesterday. He entered the game in the 67th minute and it took him only 16 minutes to score from a penalty which was the winning goal at the same time. Arsenal have finally broken the cycle against Burnley. They have been getting really close scores against them recently but here they got a solid win by 3-1. Burnley tried to be efficient with their attacks as much as possible and I assume the best thing they could do was this. Even though their opponent was weak Arsenal still had an impressive performance here.

This is clearly hard to believe because Girona is the only team that has been able to maintain consistent performance with 1 loss and 1 draw in 13 matches. They have scored 31 goals in 13 matches for an average of 2.3 goals per game. I'm also curious about them, but I tend to have a focus on Real Madrid which is expected to overtake Girona on time.
Their consistency really deserves appreciation and a thumbs up. They are able to optimize all existing chances, especially when playing against small - medium clubs, they never lose their chance at all. Because perhaps they are aware that if they play against top clubs, their chances are very small. So they continue to consistently optimize the results of matches with other clubs. So so far the performance has always been optimal. Girona doesn't seem to give up and withdraw from the title race apparently. They are resisting very well and collecting points actively. They are still first, ruining the nice victory made by Real Madrid with 5 goals against poor Valencia. Both Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior returned to score goals!. The points difference between these two teams are two points, not big enough to let Girona play without worrying about Real Madrid catching them. Girona still maintains its leadership by beating Rayo Vallecano, which Real Madrid could not beat in Santiago Barnebau, 2-1 away last week. I don't know when the dream will end for Girona, but Real Madrid are close enough to catch them. They can easily close the 2-point gap, and Rodrygo is in great form together with Vinicius. At first, I was thinking Girona are one of the these average clubs that do have a good start to the season abd still return back to where they're categorized after 6 to 9 league games but from what we've seen so far this season, the club is trying to send message to the rest clubs in Spain that they're actually serious contenders for the Spanish La Liga title. Last weekend, we saw Rayo Vallecano force Real Madrid to a goalless draw at the Santiago Bernabeu but in their match week 13 game at home, they were beaten by a visiting Girona. |
