2141  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: November 03, 2023, 08:48:43 AM

Its okay to keep gambling activities a secret, it does not mean we hide our addiction, but at least one family member or close relative should know because if something bad like this happens there is someone who can explain or help him or her not to become addicted to gambling.
Yes, actually it doesn't matter if people want to hide their gambling activities because maybe people want privacy too, everyone definitely has different views about maintaining their privacy so I think it's normal if they want to hide it, personally I don't publish it either. my family or my friends, unless she is my wife, it is important for her to know that I gamble because I trust her to manage my gambling budget.

What you say is true, at least there is someone who knows that we gamble, which is important because we are worried that if we are out of control and addicted to gambling, there is definitely someone who will help us to recover from that addiction. Never hide anything from the people closest to us, for example our wives, because people Parents may not necessarily like their children gambling, but a wife might allow us to gamble if we are honest and open with her.
My opinion about keeping our gambling habits a secret I think should be more affected by the manner at which we handle our gambling activities. There are people who are very disciplined in their gambling activities and has the mental strength to control their gambling engagements even when they're are winning massively or losing a lot of money while there are others who finds it difficult to control their emotions whenever they win massively or lose a lot a money.
So to the set of gamblers who are disciplined enough to  emotionally handle their huge wins and excessive losses, I think they're absolutely free to keep their gambling habits a secret but to the people who gamble aren't disciplined enough to handle their emotions when they win or lose, it's advisable for them to notify few close friends or family members of their gambling activities so they can help in regulating his excesses in gambling
2142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop the self entitlement claims on others gamblers winnings. on: November 03, 2023, 08:37:59 AM
It's kind of becoming a norm in the gambling house for people to act with some sort of self-entitement to other gamblers money just because it was money won through gambling. Some even go further to argue that using so little amount to winning so much amount of money you ought to share it with others in a ratio of 60:40. What a nonsense!
This is indeed nonsense, even 75:25 is still nonsense because there is no obligation for anyone who succeeds in winning a lot of money from gambling to share it with anyone and if there are gamblers who do it, it is only a personal initiative and cannot be used as a standard rule that all gamblers must do the same thing, People who criticize the gambler only feel jealous and show it through criticism of what the gambler does, for whatever reason no one has the right to the gambler's winnings and how he shares and spends it is the gambler's business, not anyone else's.
The popular demand by most people in gambling houses from anyone who gets massive winning is very disgusting to me because when people comes to the gambling houses and losses their money, they don't get sympathetic refunds from anyone.
I happen to witness an event where a gambler won a huge amount of money in a gambling house and because of the too much request from people around there to share the money he got, he decided not to give anyone a dime from his winning despite all the negative names they were calling him. People can feel entitled to a one's winning but the ability to not give any entitled person anything from the winning I think is a good way to discipline them on that behavior.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: November 03, 2023, 08:28:24 AM
How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?
I don't think any of my friends will do that I'm not a rich guy or known to finance anyone and even if my friend is good at gambling I don't think I can afford to put my money at risk if he wants to finance his gambling venture and he is confident of his skill then he should be the one to fund his account or ask a real gambling financier to do that, there is such a thing as casino junket, so there are casino financier also.
Casino financing is only for businessman who has a lot of money to spare and put their money on gamblers its a risky business and I don't think I will ever finance someone I have a hard time financing myself so I cannot finance others.

The fact that there's no guarantee that the friend who requested for financing his gambling in exchange of part of their winning is gonna end up winning gamble makes it dead on arrival financial request from me because I wouldn't want to risk my money in such gambling business.
In gambling, a gambler wins and losses as well and that's why I think whoever wants to gamble should be the one to finance their gambling activities instead of seeking help from someone.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: November 03, 2023, 08:21:20 AM
It seems so. Sevilla has the same plan like last season, they stay in 3rd place and return to play in the Europa League. That's right. In the Europa league they have a good performance, their historical record is not doubt at all, if they can get another trophy that would be a truly extraordinary achievement. But maybe Sevilla plan will not be that smooth, because this season we see that Liverpool, Leverkusen and Roma which are will not let Sevilla win the title again. But yes, Sevilla is likely to perform very well in this event rather than play in UCL.

I can say that Sevilla is the king of the UEFA European League. They have won seven trophies in the UEFA European League. They are always favorites to win and they often advance to the final round. It's just that this year I feel Liverpool is a strong candidate to win this championship. Sevilla's chances of qualifying from group B are a little difficult because they are currently in 3rd place in the standings.
The opportunity to participate in the Europa League is significantly greater when compared to the chances of qualifying for the UCL knock out stage, but it is not an impossible feat given that Sevilla has remained undefeated in this group so far. There are still some matches remaining at this moment. I think that sevilla will able to make it soon.
The king of europa league is trying its luck to play in the UCL to get some money. The club is really need money at this moment and no reason for sevilla to go back to the europa league agani after it was winning its trophy last season.

I don't know why many people are feeling so happy if sevilla goes back again to the europa league. Is not it bad for other club who played in europa league? Sevilla needs to give chance to the other club to win europa league.

Sevilla are currently in the third position of the group B in the UEFA Champions League competition and are currently three points behind second placed Lens. They play their next game at home to PSV which I think they stand a better chance of winning the game to still maintain the third place position. Sevilla's overall performance this season has been below average and that's why I don't think they'll do well if they happen to progress to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League competition.
So if they can hang on and finish in the third place which automatically qualifies them to the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League , there's every possiblity of the the competition which they're are the most successful club in.
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: November 03, 2023, 08:00:02 AM

interesting how each human works because gambling in a moment of stress is not a good idea for me.

This is hard to say, because their emotion can be change within a minutes . For some people, if they are getting stressed, playing a gamble can be a solution for him. But, they are need to make sure they are will accept anything including losing, Because any lose will be made his stressed more hard.
Personally, I don't think it's healthy for a mentally stressed individual to engage in gambling as a form of relieving himself from his stress because he's very likely to lose in such gamble which in return will increase his mental stress.
Gambling is best played with a relaxed mind and not a stress one
2146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 02, 2023, 10:55:23 PM
Since they signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United during the January transfer window, the Saudi Arabian League officials has hugely invested in football in the country by signing so many other big Europeans players. They paid for all these huge signings just to improve the quality of the league and as well draw more global audience. The Saudi League is now watched by millions of people around the world and yesterday, FIFA officially awarded the FIFA World Cup 2034 to them. Despite calls from most of the European countries to FIFA not allow the world cup hosted in an Islamic country. Congratulations to the people of Saudi Arabia.

Indeed it can be a reference but when a few years earlier with now obviously it is very different so in this case I think it would not be suitable to compare Newcastle in the past with their current version which is always troublesome with the revolution created from the money they have.
At the moment their chances of winning are still there, especially now that they are at St. James Park, which in fact is a headquarters that can be haunted for the opponents that Newcastle face.
A confident Newcastle team will be a lot of trouble for Arsenal who will be coming into the game from a defeat to West Ham in the Carabao cup. Arteta will use his strongest players that is why he rested many of them in the game against West Ham. Arsenal recently have had the better result against Newcastle, so it is a chance for Newcastle to change things and get a home win and give Arsenal their first defeat this season. I just worry that due to the champions league game that they have against Dortmund which is a game they must win, the coach may just try to rotate his team and not overplay any key player so they will also be available to play again in the Champions league.
During the League Cup games this week, we saw Newcastle United convincingly eliminate of the big English Premier League clubs Manchester United  from the competition while Arsenal were defeated at home by West Ham on the League Cup as well but the results of those matches I don't think will have a major effect on when Arsenal hosts Newcastle United in the English Premier League.
Clearly, we've seen that Arsenal are the doing well in the league this season and are one of the top three clubs in the league standings so I think they're gonna take all three points in that game.

€100million for Ivan Toney, a player that's yet to feature for the UEFA Champions League in his career. Ivan Toney is my favorite Brentford player; I've missed watching the Englishman play for the Bees this season; he made a few indiscretions that resulted up with a FIFA ban for an extended period of time, but he's obviously working and trying to remain in the prerequisite for his comeback next year. Ivan Toney may be overhyped, but he's terrific. I respect the player's confidence in taking penalties, and he has never missed a penalty in a Brentford jersey. We have overhyped guys in the system simply by watching them perform on the field, only to discover they are inconsistent and have minimal to give the club. Ivan Toney is one of Brentford's outstanding frontlines; he's experienced and accessible.

This valuation of money has actually been one of bad effects of the modern day football. A mid table team attacker had one or two outstanding season then we see a Market price which is ridiculous. Some great talents have been wasted because if the Pressures coming from been signed for huge amount. Almost every $100 million player usually have a rough first season and he sometimes gets the backing of the coach and gets better in the following season but most at times there career takes a huge low.

Concerning Ivan Tooney, if he does comes back in form. Then I think we might be seeing the next 100 million rated player. My major reason is the English media usually hype there players and the fellow English clubs who do not mind spending will definitely get him.
One of the main reasons why we didn't see most of the young and potential English football talents fail to live up to their expectations is the fact that British media excessively hypes them and makes them to think they're already superstar even when they're nothing close to being football stars.
Ivan Toney is a good striker but putting a €100 million price tag on his is just too much for a player of his qualities. He is not worth such amount of money if you ask me.

Hey everyone
I'm not going to create a thread just for this and don't want to become off topic, mas this is huge news
FIFA has just announced that Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup after Australia withdrew its bid

Source

I would have preferred the 2034 World Cup to be in Australia, but it seemed inevitable that it would be in Arabia after all the investment they've put into soccer

Big news but not really so surprising? The FIFA only cares about one thing and that is money. Saudi Arabia has the money and we will probably see some more major sport events being hosted by countries like Saudi Arabia in the near future. Not the biggest fan of this evolution but seems unavoidable.
I think on the contrary, what FIFA considers the most is one who has the infrastructure and are capable enough to host the cup is what they usually look for includes an economically stable and security stable nations aswell but this does not mean these countries are perfect.

They would usually have a standard with which these requirements are measured and if met could be considered, Ina s much as FIFA wants an all inclusive participating in hosting, they are also careful to not risk jeopardizing the event aswell so it's very possible they may refuse to host in certain locations for lack of these requirements because it very necessary so bit the host and the hosted enjoys the game.
After the football world governing body FIFA awarded the 2034 FIFA World Cup tournament to Saudi Arabia, a lot of reports has been flying around the media space which one of them is that the decision to award the middle East country the World Cup was influenced by money. I think most of the people who are publishing these wrong narratives are the Western world who are fighting against the Islamic country from hosting the WC as a result of their cultural differences. Again the LGBTQ community knows that the country doesn't accept them and their practices.

It is the FIFA World Cup and hosting it in any country of the world where peace and security of players and fans of the participating countries are assured shouldn't be a problem for crying out loud.
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 02, 2023, 10:06:59 PM
Adding Kylian Mbappe to the current lineup is going to propel Real Madrid to an unprecedented level of excellence. Kylian Mbappe has been on Los Blancos' radar for an extended period of time, and they're not giving up, determined to bring him to Santiago Bernabéu in the coming season. Carlo Ancelotti feels encouraged with his team's current statistics, but he is confident that Real Madrid will continue to produce outstanding accomplishments. Though there are presence of other good players that are available to enchance and elevate the team's performance.
Real Madrid thinks Mbappe is the ideal player who can replace the role's of Benzema. If Real Madrid has Mbappe in their lineup, I'm sure Real Madrid front line will be very scary for the opponents. Mbappe game style looks very suitable with Real Madrid tactic, it is because Mbappe isn't a typical lazy striker. Mbappe has a capability to play in several positions, has good speeds, and has good dribbling skill. Mbappe has a complete ability as a strong striker. That's why Real Madrid really wants to sign him.

Kylian Mbappe is so talented that he can single-handedly win games for a team on his own and that's why it'll be very sad news to Real Madrid's opponents if the France national team captain should join Real Madrid who are already one of the best clubs in Europe next summer.
After Karim Benzema left in the summer, Real Madrid failed to sign a replacement for him and even when Madrid's summer signing Jude Bellingham has been scoring lot of goals for his new club, the club still needs a recognized striker to fill in the boots of their former striker Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe will be the perfect match if you ask me
2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 09:59:09 PM
For me I think there is know need having multiple betting account because they all have the same usage and the same way of betting, however thinking abou it, having multiple accounts is another way of exposing our private data and perhaps we may not know if the betting platform is well secured or not.

So for the safety of our data is mostly advised to maintain just one betting platform that you feel is okay for you. Although many people uses multiple betting platform because of one reason or the other, it could be that the feature they needed are not included on there current betting platform which makes them look for other platform that has it, so which ever way we should just be very careful.

To me, I don't think it's a big deal for one person to have two or three betting accounts with three different companies because there are moments when one of the gambling companies will have issues with logging in to their sites and play bet. Having two or three betting accounts with different gambling companies makes it easy for a gambler to gamble whenever he wants to since it'll not be possible for two or three gambling sites to have technical issues at the same time.
That being said, having numerous accounts are very different with betting with multiple accounts at the same time. The latter isn't good because it's very likely to make someone become an addict.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 02, 2023, 09:47:49 PM
It seems like it doesn't make sense that loneliness can lead to addiction and what I know is addiction because those who don't have good control when gambling and also addiction occurs because of the wrong mindset towards gambling or considering gambling as a way to increase money but end up continuing to pursue it. defeat.
Like the person you know, it doesn't seem like he's lonely but he has an addiction because he vents his emotions into gambling because he may have problems with his wife and in this case it often happens when he has a broken family that a man vents his emotions into gambling whereas gambling is not recommended when he is emotions because it has a very bad impact and if someone you know becomes addicted, it is his own fault for using gambling as an outlet for emotions, even though it is not clear what the problem is with his wife.
There are a lot of negative effects of being too lonely and one of those effects is that the concerned person tends to gamble oftenly in attempt to get engaged in something who might end up making the person a gambling addict.
The effect of ending up as a gambling addict is the reason why a lot of people today are seriously advised and sensitized not to see gambling as an engagement that'll keep them busy when they're feeling lonely and bored.
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop the self entitlement claims on others gamblers winnings. on: November 02, 2023, 09:40:26 PM
Most of those news coming from this legit new outlet are fake but that not withstanding since we can still learn one or two lessons from the discussions,  because the topic is most appropriate at this point in time,  since gambling is something that comes with some form of unexpected outcome such as in form of jackpot winning like the case with the ops,  it make more sense to make sure we protect our privacy at all time,  because hard it been that the gsmbker in question just gamble online,  he won't get called out for such because no body will know about the wining unless those he be tell at some point.

This is a high risk situation for the gamblers because he already get called out on social media which will further expose him to ore extortion from those around him,  but what the contribution of the guy that is calling him. Out for sending 100k in the winnings of the 15 million.
Entitlement begats excessive expectations and excessive expectations when not met brings absolute envy which is likely to make the entitled person to want to anything within his reach to bring down the concerned person.
When a gambler gets massive winning, there are a lot of people who do think that it's their right to receive a certain amount of money from the winning and when their expectation aren't met, they become too bittered which absolutely evil. For the gambler to stake his gamble with his own money, it's his right to give or not give to anyone he wants to give regardless of how huge his winning is. So calling someone who gave you free 100k because he win 15 million is bad and should be condemned.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 02, 2023, 09:29:05 PM
I Don't know what else the Manchester united board wants to see before they are convinced that Ten Hag isn't the man for the job, Manchester united had broken so many personal negative record since his taking over as the head coach till now, they aren't a team that plays with any pattern anymore, Newcastle isn't at there best and did not start some of their top players but still beat Manchester united 3:0 I think it's time ten Hag leave the helm of affairs as Manchester united manager.
Maybe they are still looking at his past glory to hope the he turns out better soon, his first time at Manchester united which happens to be last season, he was able to help them qualify for the champions league so maybe they are thinking that with time he will get better.

But it's not looking like time is all he need, he needs more than time, strategy and a better tactical formation. Ten hag also needs to develop a very cordial relationship with his players as it seems like there isn't any. Its looking like some of the players are yet to properly get along with him and it's reflected in their performance, maybe by January he could opt to further get some more players whom can him achieve the desired results and he needs consistency with his tactics and strategy aswell not introducing a new one for every match , somehow Manchester may need an overhaul.
Of a truth, Erik Ten Hag hasn't been impressive with his results for the Manchester United team since the start of the season and that's why majority of the club fans across the globe are asking for the sacking of the Dutchman.
Manchester United management board are adamant of sacking the manager at the moment but I don't think the club will still keep faith with the club manager if the team continues to suffer defeats in subsequent time. So if Ten Hag really wants to remain as the club he must improve the team's performance and results with his tactical approach.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 02, 2023, 09:22:02 PM
Of course, they are going to need to work hard to actually stay at the top of the competition. No club is actually going to be able to perform badly and stay at the top. Not even the great Real Madrid. But so far I don't think we actually have got any reason to doubt Real Madrid. They have shown good performance and they also have been able to win against the biggest competitor which is Barcelona. They just need to make sure that the players stay healthy and do not get injured. Especially Jude Bellingham, who has been doing the bulk of the scoring for Real Madrid in this season. he has been the biggest success so far for Real Madrid recently.
Indeed. If Real Madrid fail to maintain good performance, they won't survive in UCL. Although Real Madrid has a nice history in UCL, it doesn't mean they don't need to do hard work to stay as the favorite team. UCL is the highest football competition, there is no space for lazy team in this competition. However, it is true that Real Madrid showed us their consistent in the last few matches. They could maintain their position in the top table of La Liga and they always won the matches in UCL group stage. It indicates that Real Madrid commits to keep their chance for winning the titles both in La Liga and UCL.

Yes, they succeed to beat Barcelona in the last match in La Liga. Again, Bellingham becomes the most shining player in the match. This can be a special motivation for Real Madrid to continue their positive performance. With this condition, we can trust Real Madrid to reach the final round in UCL. They seem ready for the knockout phase.

As the most prestigious club competition in the whole of Europe, the UEFA Champions League competition isn't a league where any team can relax and feel that they'll be undefeatable probably because they're currently running on a good form because until the final winner of the competition is confirmed, there's every possiblity that the least expected team can surprise everyone and lift the trophy.
Real Madrid are currently one of the best clubs in the competition and are also the competition's most successful club but if they don't continue to play in their current form or probably improve their performance this season, they might not even make it to the semi finals.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 02, 2023, 09:14:59 PM
I saw this image below on one of my friend's WhatsApp statuses earlier today. I don't know if the game was played by him or if it was an image saved from somewhere, but the image got me thinking, and we got into a debate because of that.

I was telling someone that if I'm the one to have such a slip and the game is already showing me to cash out such an amount of money, which is equal to $865 based on our local exchange rate, seeing such an amount as cash out available and leaving it will make me appear like someone who is too greedy, but the guy was telling me it's not being greedy but it's all about taking risks. The debate didn't end well, so I decided to bring this up here to see the responses from experienced gamblers.

Lucky for anyone who ever has that bet slip, it seems like the game played in his favour.
It can be both, maybe your friend knows exactly what they are doing and they are simply taking the best odds possible for their bet and they have good chances of winning it, which seems to be exactly what it happened, however this does not necessarily discard the possibility that this was because of their greed as well, as betting that amount of money in a single match is simply too much, unless your friend is a professional gambler or he has way more money than that saved and they can allow themselves to make such bets.
When it comes to sporting gambling, I think anyone who wants to be successful in it needs to be greedy at some point in other to be able to win massively.
That being said, I think there should be a limit to everything one is doing with the picture I saw, I think it's excessive greed which isn't advisable for your friend not to cash out such amount of money and considering the amount be used in staking the game. In sport betting, there's no game that's very easy to predict the outcome so it's greed taken too far not to accept to cash out such amount of money

So, this is what Messi fans logic, when people are criticized Messi, they automatically compare or discuss about "Messi and Ronaldo" which assuming people who don't like Messi are Ronaldo fans lol. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I check Inter Miami position in MLS, currently they're in 14th position from 15 teams! what is this guy contributing to Inter Miami? Tongue
I'm a Cristiano Ronaldo's fan but when it comes to football braggings about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel who to me are the best two players who's ever graced the beautiful round leather, I'm always not sentimental with my opinions.
Lionel Messi helped his country lift the FIFA World Cup last year December after the fifth time of trying. He wasn't just any random member of the Argentina squad that won the WC trophy but was the best player of the tournament and that's why I think he deserves the Balon D'or award he got on Monday. As far as football is concerned I can't say there's anyone among them who's better because they're have their different football records and moments.
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: November 02, 2023, 08:59:32 PM

Yes, it's very difficult to stay at the top
Just look at the Portuguese league itself, where in the last 7 seasons no one has managed to win twice in a row, and the years before that there were many titles in a row
It's very difficult to achieve hegemony these days

After the last round of matches, with Benfica and Braga drawing, I believe that all four teams will recover and win their matches
Porto, Braga, Benfica and Sporting, simple wins, odds of 2.35 in total, I'll stick to my strategy  Cheesy
The league is not very tough like the EPL and other top European leagues but they got very tough and strong clubs competing very well in major European competitions and over the years the Portuguese league has produced great players and world stars, well I don't really give much attention to the league nor view most of their matches except when I want to include a match from the league in my prediction.

However I really love Porto and Sporting Lisbon especially Lisbon cause it's produced at lot of great players around Europe, most famously known player from the league is one of the greatest of all time C Ronaldo that was bought by Sir Alex Ferguson to Manchester United, well about last season Lisbon finish 4th place but currently they at the top of the table and are the only team that are currently unbeaten in the league, which means they've improved more than the previous season.
One thing I love about the Portuguese League is the fact that despite not being among the top five leagues in Europe, the Portuguese Primeira Liga is very competitive unlike most of the European leagues. In the past seven years, no club has been able to win the competition in two consecutive seasons.
Currently, Sporting Lisbon are at the top of the  league table but from the performances of the teams in the league, I think Benfica abd Porto who are just three points behind league leaders are the other two clubs that are are serious contenders for the title alongside the league leaders.
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: November 02, 2023, 08:15:07 PM
A gambling addict knows no boundaries. Meanwhile, a successful gambler knows his limitations and follows it so things won't go wrong. Overspending and allotting so much time just to bet and play without proper direction in mind and assessment of the risks are most commonly done by gambling addicts. They do not really care much about the repercussions and rather continue to play and bet as much as they like. They disregard thinking about the trajectory of their gameplays and just continuously chase winnings after winnings or losses. And that's a whole lot different to those people who have plans and strategies to be successful.

Successful gamblers know when to stop and when to quit. Taking a break is never a sign of defeat. Sometimes you just really have to reflect on the things that you did - what went wrong or how you can do better, so that the next time around, you'll be achieving what you want.
Basically, in some way successful gamblers are quite the opposite of what gambling addicts are. Successful gamblers mostly strategize and limits their bets to minimize loses and maximizing odds for it to be on their favor which is the reason as to why they are successful on their gambling endeavors. But just as successful gamblers are, gambling addicts can also be as responsible as successful gambler however they lack the strategy to maximize their profit and continue gambling even with continuous loses.

This is not a question that is as easily answered as you just did because it should start with the definition of what a successful gambler is.

When someone gambles for 5 years and spends $100 per day gambling, that would make a total of $182,500 in cost. Now assume that he wins one huge jackpot of $2 million on one day within those 5 years. Is the person a successful gambler? What if that person had no strategy at all but someone with a strategy does not hit the jackpot in 5 years and only wins $100,000 in total, ending up with a loss?
I don't buy the idea that successful gamblers should be seen as gambling addicts because a whole lot of successful gamblers are people who are very strategic with their gambling activities instead of constant gambling which is the primary attributes of gambling addicts
Addicted gamblers are even unlikely to become successful through gambling because of the fact that they mostly gamble because of the they ain't mentally strong to do other things apart from gambling. They engage in it without being careful of how and when to gamble.

That's totally alarming considering the total population of Nigeria 225,600,039 as of November 2, 2023 coming from the source below.

https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/nigeria-population/

So let's do the match, that's 65m/223m = that's 28% of population are into gambling. Well, I tell you, this pecentage is too high considering some of the 225m population are minors or kids, or women, which the rate of gamblers is really high. And here's another interesting numbeer from OP>

spending an average of $15 daily

And as per data below, it's minimum wage is.

So they are gambling more than what they earn? That's unbelievable.

That's not the case, really. They just divided the $975m into the 65 million people, resulting into $15 per day. Based on the data that you have provided, there's no way that that many people will risk half of their monthly earnings PER DAY in hopes of getting something in return. There will be some people spending more than $15, and there will be some that will be spending way less than that. Take the total number, and divide it to the number of people and you get the average spent per day, but I'll tell you that this isn't an accurate way of presenting that data they gathered.

Even though that's the case, 28% of people actively engaging in gambling on a daily basis is really alarming. I guess with the economic conditions in Nigeria, a lot of people will rely on luck rather than look for jobs and improve their skills to get paid more.
When you divide $975m by the 65 million of Nigerians who gamble daily, you'll get $15 per person and if critically analysed, you'll know that the statistics is absolutely correct.

Nigeria is a country that's made up of over 200 million people and the 65 million people who daily engage in gambling are below half of the total population in the country and if carefully examined, over 60% of the gamblers earns more than $1000 monthly. And that's I think it's absolutely possible for them to spend such amount on gambling daily. Because of the very harsh economic situation in the country, a lot of people engages in gambling in search of shortcuts earn a living but sadly for most of them, they end up losing more than they win from gambling
