Liverpool last season had a forgettable campaign both in the domestic league and in Europe as well but has taken it upon themselves to make up for their poor outing last season and yesterday's late win against Fulham showed how determined they are to really make up for their poor campaign of last season. It was a game that was filled with beautiful goals as three of Liverpool's goals were all scored from outside the box. Trent Alexander-Arnold was undoubtedly the best player of the game and was the man that scored the 88th minute goal that helped Liverpool grab all three points from that game. With their recent performances, Liverpool are undoubtedly one of the strongest contenders for the English Premier League title this season.

Yes, we should know the team is rebuilding and they’ll falter in some matches but that’s part of the process, In the game against Brighton they were pretty playing better till the Red Card incidence which involved a key man in the team’s midfield, that disrupt their play and they struggled of course, but then they still won the 3points which is the most important thing, despite playing with a man down, one of their key players for that matter.

Anyone who closely followed up the Chelsea team last season I think will attest to the fact that they've significantly improved since the start of the season thanks to the new tactical approach of the current manager Mauricio Pochettino. But I think the club fans are still expecting more from Chelsea and that's because of the kind of quality players at the club's disposal this season. Chelsea without doubt dominated most part of their game against Brighton and Hove Albion yesterday but after Conor Gallagher was shown the red card, the away team then utilized the opportunity of playing against 10 men to press the Chelsea defense and were rewarded with a stoppage time goal which wasn't enough to stop Chelsea from winning the game. Mauricio Pochettino is progressively improving the performance of the Chelsea team from what we saw last season but I think he can still do more with his squad.

The battle for who wins the Saudi Pro League golden boot for the top score of the season I think is gonna go down the wire between Al Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Hilal's Aleksander Mitrovic. The way Leverkusen are playing is really impressive. Today against Dortmund their performance was again really good. Despite conceding a lot of goals in their last four games, Manchester City remains one of the best teams in the Premier League this season. I believe it won't matter much if they are already winning most of their matches by two or more goals, which will compensate for the goals conceded by their goalkeeper. They can still make adjustments to the defence positions, but I don't think that will prevent them from winning their games and maintaining their lead in the Premier League title race.

Not only this season. Manchester City has been phenomenal in the English premier League for the past 5 seasons. I even see the decline of performance this season compared to last season. Manchester City is not far behind in the table. They are still in the corridors of power and to be honest with us, they are the most feared in the English premier League top 4 currently even when they are not at the top most position. Having Liverpool in the clear race for the English premier title is very commendable and I really like it. This is because in the race to win the English premier League, Liverpool is much more reliable than Arsenal to give Manchester city fight to the End. I do not think anyone will argue this.

The battle is fierce and I must confess the match has been intensive from the blowing of the starting whistle till this time. It is as if this is El Classico and if real examination is done, we can attest that this meeting is more interesting than some El classico recently.
There is one thing I like about football and that is the fact that history is always honoured. When the match started I had thought that Joa Felix will be the one to destroy his former place because that is how it often happens in football and as much as I guessed, I wasn't disappointed. If there is any team I have to give the award of resilience this Sunday, it is Tottenham. They refused to be intimidated or broken by Manchester United and they performed their best in the second half with high pressing and commitment. They deserve even more than the 1 point, but considering that got the point from the Citizens, it is satisfying.

This season, Manchester United has forgotten everything about high pressing. No energy or zeal to win. Tottenham went home with a point today because they applied energy.

Alvaro Morata is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in Spain and that's why it's absolutely understandable that Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is very keen in signing the Spanish international to the Camp Nou. There are simply analogies of life that doesn't need deep knowledge or research for one to know about them and I think who wins more between a gambler that's rich and the one that's trying to survive falls in that category. When a gambler that's rich wants to gamble, his chances of losing are slim because he'll gamble on very big odds and stake a huge sum of money in it while a poor gambler will want to gamble on very small odds and stake with small money in other to win big from it.
