2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 01:09:14 PM
Retirement is something that almost everyone will give a thought about, but in terms of gambling, I really think that the best time for someone to quit gambling is when he/she has no money to stake again, it's common sense and not about age, even if someone is at the age of @300 and if the person is still a bit strong or bit stronger he/she can still gamble online, it is very hard for a gambler to quit gambling even if the gambler is very old (if he/she still has the money he/she can still gamble).

It's one thing to quit gambling probably because of the fact that the concerned person now gambles frequently and becoming a gambling addict abd also a totally different thing to retire from gambling after so many years of involvement in it especially when one is aged.
What the question is talking about is the best age range for any gambler to absolutely retire from gambling. And my honest opinion is that after the age of 60 years, I don't think it's right for anyone to continue in gambling since it requires a lot of mental strength to gamble on other not to stress his aged brain through gambling.
2182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 30, 2023, 01:03:18 PM
PSG didn't surprise me by winning only by a one-goal gap against Brest. I wasn't expecting them to have a comfortable game against a strong Brest. Because Brest started the season really solidly but for a couple of weeks their form has been on the decline. This was a big opportunity for PSG also to hit them hard.

However I didn't expect a big score because PSG are still an inconsistent team. It is quite difficult to predict them in the Ligue 1 as well. Mbappe played a huge role in this win of course. I don't know what they will do when he isn't able to play or if he leaves the team by the end of the season.
PSG aren't solid neither doing well in any competition. Imagine them waiting every time for Mbappe to score a goal and save them from wasting points easily.. I know Brest are doing well this season but PSG is a top team that play internationally vs the best teams in the world and not only local ones.. I wonder how they will manage to win Ligue 1 from the time of Mbappe leave them this winter or next summer..
Otherwise as expected the match between Lille and Monaco was interesting and Monaco allowed both PSG and Nice pass them in the ranking. That's why I always say the problem with this league isn't how good PSG are but how bad the others do..
Since the start of the season, we've seen that Kylian Mbappe has been the star player for the Paris Saint Germaine team but I don't think it simply means that the club solely rely on him for them to win their games because I think the club manager Luis Enrique is too experienced to build a team that'll rely on the brilliance of just one player before they can win any game.
Kylian Mbappe is a phenomenal that'll be very influential in a club he finds himself anywhere in the world but that doesn't mean that his his personal brilliance with the ball and always scoring goals means that any team he finds himself do rely on him. Without Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint Germaine has all it takes to win games but the fact that they have a big player like Mbappe in their squad, it's never a bad thing to build the team around him.
2183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 30, 2023, 12:56:23 PM
In yesterday's match I won't blame anyone, even Rasmus Hojlund gave a very good performance, it's just that Manchester United doesn't seem ready to compete competitively with other big clubs and that all because in terms of players, Manchester United and Manchester City are very different from In terms of talent quality, it is so different that I would understand Manchester United lost against City.
After that, Manchester City back to better, even though previously almost had a bad trend when lost twice at that time and now starting to show its strong performance again to continue chasing Tottenham points and soon dominate the Premier League to become leaders in this league.

Manchester City’s two time loss was just a fracture that they’ve healed from and I know they will come over it very soon and dominate the premier league back again. Manchester City are back on top form and I won’t be surprised if they continue this trend for a long time to come. At the moment, they are of a better chance of winning the title this season alongside Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. I will call their two loss a correction to them and be more prepared for the task ahead of them. Tottenham Hotspur are showing a great performance now and if they continue this form it will be easier for them to compete for the premier league title. Son have shown good performances and he is taking the team on the frontline to win more games for them. He is indeed a striker to depend on and deliver his task successfully.
Though Manchester City comfortably defeated Manchester United in the latter's home ground yesterday but that doesn't mean that the current English Premier League champions are back to their best as a lot of people are already thinking.
Since the club's captain Kelvin De Bruyne got injured, the club has struggled to perform well exceptionally well like they've been doing in the past three seasons. They  won against Manchester United because United played that game like the had already conceded defeat even before the start of the match. It was a good result for the Citizens to keep them in strong position to continue their forth consecutive title chase but I don't think they're back to their best at the moment.
2184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your nice hit to leave the casino. on: October 30, 2023, 12:50:03 PM
As a gambler, from when I leave the house down to the casino prior to getting there I normally project specific amount that should I probably hit am turning around to leave for home immediately. And am quite sure am ain't the only one who have for one  had this plan thought wrapped in his head, some persons might have too.

Playing gambling does require calculation and discipline, before going to the casino it's a good idea to prepare funds that we think are sufficient. Even if we have to go to the casino every day or once a week, the funds we carry are the same amount. If you lose, it means you've had enough, don't add more, if you win enough, don't be greedy.

Quote
Just in case, what amount will be looking like a nice hit for you to leave a casino just immediately for maybe your first, second or third hit on the machine as you have just walked in?

Because by making clear plans we really enjoy gambling as entertainment and of course it doesn't make us stressed. This is what I do now, even though I don't come to the casino, I practice it at the online casino. I would invest the same amount of funds into gambling every week, losing didn't matter if I won, I was having fun.
The thing is when one originally dedicates a certain amount of money to gambling, it's best he ends that particular section when that stipulated amount is exhausted. There are days a gambler will be very lucky to win and there are also days he'll lose so the ability to leave when it's he's having a bad day, helps him to be financially fit again to gamble next time which might be when he will be lucky to win big
2185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: October 30, 2023, 10:39:53 AM
different people must have different opinions, some say that it is greed, some say it's a matter of risk. but i have the view that it is a risk. he took the risk of gambling the amount of money and hoped that he got the reward. maybe he has his own analysis and believes that he can win the bet. moreover, he seemed confident that the team he held could win so he did not hesitate that gamble of that much money.
When it comes to gambling, a gambler is expected to be greedy in his decisions sometimes to be able to win big but one thing to be considered is if he'll be able to afford the effects of his greed when it doesn't go his way.
It's is the ability to take risks when necessary that makes one a true gambler. So wether greedy or not, the goal is to win at the end of the day
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 30, 2023, 10:16:04 AM
I really could not believe what happend to Dortmund and Frankfurt.
First i watched the live ticker and Frankfurt was leading with 2 scored Goals and then in the end they managed to make a draw.
Dont know who was better but it looks like that it was a good game from both teams.

At least Leverkusen won there game against Freiburg.

God knows how many times Borrussia Dortmund has done my betslip dirty. I was expecting the win from Eintracht Frankfurt yesterday, how did they go from winning that to a draw?
I wanted to see the repetition of the scores they had during the Europa League Competition. Lol. They're really not serious about this league Campaign.

I'd love to see Bayern Leverkusen winning the Bundesliga really! Bayern Munich has won the Bundesliga for eleven times Straight. That's pure wickedness! I expected more from Borrussia Dortmund when they had the chance last season but they bottled it.

Harry Kane now mounting pressure on Serhou Guirassy, 12 goals for Harry Kane. 14 for Injured Serhou Guirassy,  Harry Kane would beat him to that Golden Boot award immediately he leaves for African Cup of Nations!
The thrilling draw between Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt was the most entertaining game in the the German Bundesliga yesterday. Frankfurt who scored the first two game looked like they were gonna win the game before Dortmund equalized through Sabitzer and Moukoko but the home side led again in the 68th minutes through Chaibi but an 82nd minute strike from Brandt ensured the game finished in three goals apiece.
Bayer Leverkusen narrowly defeated Freiburg to continue their impressive run since the start of the season. It was indeed an eventful weekend in the German Bundesliga
2187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 30, 2023, 10:00:34 AM
Loneliness is not the direct cause but loneliness can cause depression and depression can cause addictions. If you don’t get depressed the chances for catching an addiction is low. I am saying this because some people actually like to be alone. Not everyone is an extrovert. These people won’t get depressed because they are alone. On the contrary that is exactly how they want to live their lives. There are also many addicts who are very social. That happens too. Usually these people have other mental problems. In the end, whether you are alone or not, as long as you can keep your mental health safe, you will be fine.
Like you rightly said, loneliness is never the direct cause of why people venture into gambling but it's also worthy to note that in search of company , lonely people do involve in varieties of engagement to keep themselves busy which gambling is also part of those engagements. So when one says he started gambling as a result of being too lonely, he's not far from the truth.
That being said, it's not advisable for anyone to start gambling when they can not be able to control their emotions so wether lonely or not no one should see gambling as an engagement to get busy with when lonely when the concerned person doesn't know the Dos and Don'ts  of gambling
2188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 30, 2023, 09:52:48 AM
Manchester United were just horrible in this derby game. I thought of betting on Manchester City to win but somehow I couldn't trust them completely. Because Manchester United can be unpredictable in home games against big teams in the league. Sometimes they lose hard but the other times they show a great performance.

But I must have done the opposite considering how poor they have been since the beginning of the season. There isn't the same Manchester United from the previous season now. They were desperate in this game and the final score could have been bigger than 3-0. Haaland was the man of the match with 2 goals and 1 assist in my opinion.

Manchester City showed class tonight innit? They should have scored more than just three goals, thanks to Andrea Onana for saving the efforts from Erling Haaland twice.
Manchester City are better even with the absence of key players, they would run down Manchester United anyday with this kind of display. They really deserves the win but it feels like the penalty awarded was too light. Though, Hojlund should have done better by contesting for the ball rather than dragging Rodri slightly.

Home and away they have been poor. I even placed em to score a goal and they couldn't. Erling Haaland deserves it, I read somewhere in the UEFA Champions League someone saying Erling Haaland is a small game player. ( Joker Innit? )

Hojlund is a disappointment in the Premier League so far. He has 0 goals in 7 games he played. It is the opposite when it comes to the Champions League as he has 3 goals in 3 games. I don't know why there is a this big difference. In the end they have played really difficult games in the Champions League as well but he was still able to score.

I don't want to compare him to Haaland already normally but he is like the opposite of Haaland thinking about his first times. I hope he can put an end to this goalless series in the Premier League as soon as possible.
The signing of Rasmus Hojlund in the summer hasn't yielded the kind of result that made Manchester United sign him as Danish striker is yet to score league goal for the Red Devils. United before they conceded the first goal yesterday were actually playing well but couldn't create clear chances to score but how they played like a team who had already lost hope after the first goal was very surprising to me.
Manchester City with that win are now just two points behind league leaders Tottenham Hotspur which makes them one of the strong contenders for the English Premier League title
2189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 29, 2023, 10:51:31 PM
It's incredible, I didn't expect Madrid to Win. But looking at the bench I think this is also the result of Lewandowski not playing fully. Barcelona's first half did succeed in making Real Madrid difficult, even without a shot leading to the goal. But the second half Madrid could come out and make a goal. Again Belingham became an outstanding actor. The first goal showed Belingham so calm and intelligent. The goal made was not hard but only the placement of the ball. I also saw him talking to Gavi and poking himself in the head with his finger. Maybe Belingham told Gavi to play smart.
Considering the performance and current form of Real Madrid since the start of the season, I don't think there's any way one wouldn't expect them to beat Barcelona in their own home. After Barcelona scored the first goal of the match, Real Madrid were still playing like they wanted nothing but a win in that game and that's the kind of spirit, mentality and belief that the club manager Carlo Ancelotti has built in his team.
Real Madrid first goal was a magnificent screamer from their summer signing Jude Bellingham who's been absolutely incredible since he joined Madrid in the summer before he directed Modric's flipped passed under the legs of helpless Barcelona goalkeeper Ter Stegen. Bellingham if he continues with his current form, will be a strong candidate for next year's Balon D'or award.
2190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 29, 2023, 10:40:14 PM
Bayern game was definitely a shocking result for a league game but Leipzig shouldn't be gone missing, they had 6-0 win over Koln as well, that's a huge game too if you ask me. Definitely a big win by both teams. Sometimes these big clubs do show how much better they are than other teams, not all the time because you do not have it hitting everything all that well constantly, but at the same time I could say that it was clear to me that these teams were this much better in the end.

You just expect teams to slow down after like 4th goal or something, you do not see teams trying to attack even more and score even more, they try to rest a bit more, but Bayern didn't want to stop and they kept on attacking mercilessly and scored 8 goals.
To think that the game between Bayern Munich verses Darmstadt ended goalless in the first half is what made the final result of the game even more surprising to many football fans across the globe.  After Joshua Kimmich was shown a red card in the opening 5 minutes of the game, I thought it was gonna things very difficult for the home club but Gjasula received his own red card in the 21st minute to bring the number of players from both teams to 10 men before another Darmstadt player Maglica also got another red card an that was the main reason Bayern Munich ran riot against Darmstadt.
One of the major highlights of the game was when Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane scored from his own half. Great result to send a serious message to other German Bundesliga clubs that Bayern Munich is still the reigning champions.
2191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: October 29, 2023, 10:22:52 PM
Fenerbahçe played very well and won again. Realistically, they play well. There is a Trabzonspor game next week, this game may be troublesome or Adanaspor game may be troublesome for them.
If they win these games, they won't lose any other games until Galatasaray.
After Galatasaray's narrow win against Rizespor yesterday, Fenerbahce knew they they needed a win to climb back to the summit of the the Turkish Super Lig table and which they they ended up convincingly thrashing their opponent Pendikspor to return back the top of the league.
Both Fenerbahce and second placed Galatasaray are yet to lose a league game this season which means that they're in serious contention for who will win the league title this season and that will make the Turkish Super Lig more interesting. .
2192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 29, 2023, 10:13:25 PM
PSG had a hard time winning today, but in the end they managed to get three points. The bettors who made two predictions as a result of the match really had a patient moment today. Mbappe scored one of his usual goals, it was one of his style goals that we have memorized. I can't imagine Mbappe in Real Madrid next season. What kind of level will he reach with that squad?

Imagine if Mbappe plays forward in a team where a player like Belligham is in the midfield.
One of the characteristics of a team that are potential league winners is that there are matches that they won't aren't convincing enough to get all three points but still ends up winning the game and the outcome of Paris Saint Germaine game against Brest looks like one of those results. The host team played the game like they were playing in the final of a major tournament. But the French champions still found a way to win the game thanks to the incredible performance of their talisman Kylian Mbappe who scored two goals in that game.
2193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 29, 2023, 10:06:25 PM
If the result is the other way around, I understand the real feeling lol.

Been through a lot of chasing losses experiences and what a relief if in the end, successfully managed to recover all those losses in that particular session. To tell you honestly, it's really hard to sleep after that big effort pushing to recover from the loss and nothing good happened at the end.

What a nice effort done by OP and that was tough work. It's not just about the money but the long period of time spent to recover those loses.
In my own analysis of people who dangerously chase their losses, over 75% of people who seriously chase their losses ends up as losing more money instead of getting them back from gambling. In my own opinion about the subject of the matter, I think it's better to avoid trying to get back our losses at that very time we lost the money because we won't be cool headed enough to be strategic and gamble rightly which will help us to win.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 29, 2023, 09:59:38 PM
It looks like both are playing for a draw now, 4 goals have been scored and the powerplay was on for most of the game. Now 20 minutes and no one wants to lose points, these are important games when you play against a direct teams there Play also for the championship. Inter won today only 1-0 and Juventus yesterday also only 1-0, they are very important points. If Napoli or Milan score a goal now, then its 6 points worth the game.
The match is over already, Napoli 2 vs 2 AC Milan. AC Milan scored 2 goals in the first half, meanwhile Napoli scored 2 goals in the second half. The match was quite tough, both teams have done their best. However, I'm sure Napoli can do better if they have Victor Osimhen on the lineup. Sadly, Osimhen is injured, he looks to be absent for few matches because there is no clear information about when they probably recovers from the injury.

Well, I think a draw is a fair result for both teams.

Regarding the match Inter vs Roma, it is already predicted that Inter will win the match. Inter squad is better, they played at home, and they are in a good shape lately. There is no reason for a lose, Inter must win the match. I even think the score should be 2 goals at least but they only could score 1 goal only. But it is surely enough to secure 3 points.

Before the commencement of the game, I thought Napoli stood a better chance of winning the game because of their recent results in all competition but two first half goal from Olivier Giroud made it look like the visitors AC Milan were gonna take all three points from the game.
However, in the second half of the game, Napoli players played with intense hunger for a good result and fortunately for them, they scored two goals in the space of 13 minutes to draw level with AC Milan. It was a very interesting match for neutrals but certainly a nervous one for fans of the clubs especially in the dying minutes of the game when it seems like one team was definitely gonna win. Napoli really tried to draw the game.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: October 29, 2023, 09:52:58 PM
Since the start of the season, Brighton performance has continued to improve, so I am not surprised by Brighton's 2-0 win at home, but mentally the Brighton team is still very unstable in the Europa League, so they lost against AEK Athens on their first matchday.
~snip~
I think as a newcomer, this result is already pretty good. I'm a little optimistic about Brighton.  Ajax are not a small team, they are an experience team in the UCL or Europa League. This victory made their chances even greater to qualify for the knockout round. They can draw against Marseille and they should be able to seize the moment when playing at home. Then get at least one point in every away match or three points when facing AEK. Plus obliged to win against Marseille at home. Otherwise, their steps will be a little heavy.
The truth is that Brighton have really being impressive in their first season in the UEFA Europa League and as a first time experience, it's fair to tag them good with the results they've been able to achieve so far.
That being said, we mustn't conclude that they're strong enough to compete for Europa League trophy because the only team they were able to beat in the competition this season is Ajax who's been absolutely poor since the start of the season especially in their league. With the current squad and performance of Brighton, I don't think they can make it pass the quarter final stages of the competition.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 29, 2023, 09:46:16 PM
City managed to humiliate Man U... It probably didn't surprise anyone, but I thought Man U would do something... I thought they could score a goal, but they didn't... Congratulations to all Man City fans on the win...
Man United performed like a mediocre team, he even played worse than a mediocre team. If Man United can't improve their game like they played against Man City, they have no difference than Chelsea. The match was held in Old Trafford, but Man City played like the match was held at Man City home. I don't know why Man United was so weak, they even failed to score a single goal. Well, it is a shameful match for Man United, they surely didn't do anything. Roll Eyes

I think Man United defense looks very badly, I'm surprised Varane was on the bench. Man United midfield also has no power without Casemiro, Amrabat-Eriksen wasn't strong enough to take the ball possessions. They only got 39% ball possessions, it means Man City midfielders very dominated the ball possessions. On the other hand, Man United attackers couldn't do much effort, they only could make 3 shot on target and no goal at all.

With Manchester United's performance today against their city rivals Manchester City, it's now very obvious that the manager of the club Erik Ten Hag isn't tactically experienced enough to take the club to the next next level. I've seen United suffer heavier defeats in the English Premier League than the one of they suffered today but none of them have were they beaten like a team who had already conceded defeat before the start of the game.
Manchester City fans were very happy to see their talisman score goals again and hopefully he's gonna help keep the club in good shape to challenge for the league title once again.
2197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 29, 2023, 05:03:21 PM
Man City deserved to win in a match like this, because from Erik Ten Hag strategy it can be seen that he played too much ball at the back, while Man City was very focused on controlling the ball and attacking. So it's not surprising that the gap is wide open and Man United has nothing in the front line or in the midfield.

Haaland activated his goal again, Man City played so freely, open and wide on all sides, able to press as they pleased. Surprisingly, Erik Ten Hag made no changes in the second half. Still as confident as Onana's build up method where the ball always has no clear direction.
After starting the match on a good note, Manchester United unfortunately fell behind to Erling Haaland's first half penalty but since the start of the second half, United have been the second best in all areas on the pitch.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is absolutely clueless of what to do at the moment and with Erling Haaland's second goal of the game, I don't think they can get anything away from this match. Manchester City is undoubtedly the better side and are comfortably cruising to victory in this game.

Of a truth, many reckless gamblers today started gambling without control after they've gotten massive winning from gambling but that I think is caused by  the lack of self control which one factor that isn't expected from any gambler. For one to be successful in gambling, the person must know how to control his emotions when he's winning and when he's not winning in other not to end up as gambling addict.
2199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 29, 2023, 04:47:01 PM
Most of the grown up people do not live with parents. At such, the parents are not aware about the interests and habits of individuals. Do you parents know that you gamble ? What was their first reaction towards your gambling habit ?
My parents live with me and they have no idea about my extra activities aside from work and I think they don't need to know it since I'm already capable of making my own decision and I'm the decision maker in the family, which I believe being a responsible is more important. Many are too open with their parents and that's ok because at least you have someone to lean on if something bad happen to you though many are afraid to open this because they might experience discrimination even from their own family and that's why many chose not to share it.
It really isn't necessary for us to tell people about our gambling habits or activities even with friends or family. I, too, live along with my parents and I have never told them my gambling activities online but I'm sure they're aware that I'm gambling as I casually visit local casino malls. Its not really about being discriminated by my family or friends but rather it's something that isn't necessary to talk about unless you've hit jackpots.
Parents especially in African homes have the general belief that gambling is a very bad activity that's rendered a lot of young people useless and that's why they forbid their children to engage in any gambling activity even when they're adults.
So it's not wise telling or allowing such kind of parents to learn about one's gambling habit in other not to make them develop dislikeness for the concern child. If you want to gamble gamble responsibly and never you disclose it to your parents.

I can imagine how crazy real madrid if this news will become a reality. I just try to mention a nwes that may also make anyone feel distrust it but can't confirm whether this news was true or not. It sounds non sense to me but it's still possible to happen.

Quote
Real Madrid are planning to sign both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the coming years by landing the former on a free transfer when his Paris Saint-Germain contract expires and triggering the release clause in the latter's deal with Manchester City. (El Chiringuito)
https://www.90min.com/posts/football-transfer-rumours-real-madrid-mbappe-haaland-plan-sancho-asking-price-29-10-23

It will be so crazy if we will able to see haaland to be in the same club with mbappe. I think that real madrid would be putting mbappe to play as a winger then try to trigger the clause realease of haaland from manchester city.
This obviously a sense story and it may happen when mbappe would be leaving from PSG as a free agent then join in real madrid as a new winger. Mbappe may also play as a right winger.

Bellingham is still playing as attacking midfielder while haaland will become a striker of real madrid and vini on the left winger. This will become crazy team. I hope that news will be reality.
In as much as Real Madrid has the financial capacity to sign any player of their choice to the club, I don't the the club's president Fiorentino Perez would want to sign two world class strikers like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to the same club.
