2381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Strangest Bet You Have Ever Had? on: March 19, 2023, 09:28:48 PM
Here in our country, this still happens to this date. If you've heard or been aware of the spider fight? That's what of the strangest bet I guess that someone from other countries will hear from us.
Just like cock fighting, this is what most of our fellow gambler countrymen are busy with and it has become a trend and I think it is still right now.
Bets could be more than a thousand bucks and I did it a long time ago I was like a noob betting on spiders that I don't even know if they've been into fights before.
2382  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 19, 2023, 08:54:54 PM
when you actually make a lot of money, you'll find yourself in a position that is either stressful or boring.
Why so?
Someone who's got a lot of money got a lot of freedom and can do almost everything he'd want because of what he's got. I wouldn't find myself in a boring situation or stressful life when I make a lot of money. I know how to spend it well and I know how to put a part of it into investments.
That's the part which is more fun because you see what you've worked hard for and you don't want any penny of it to be spent that you won't enjoy. Sometimes there could be things that we'd spent on worthless, useless, and nonsense things but that's it. You just have to appreciate what you've got and find a way to spend it wisely.
2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What role does tokenomics play in successful altcoins ? on: March 19, 2023, 08:19:20 PM
Of course, they do have a vital role in a project because that becomes one of the factors and basis of an investor's why we invest in it. Without such, do you think that an investor will be interested to throw money into it? I don't think that someone's gonna love to invest money with a project that don't have it. Although there are reckless investors that it won't matter to them whether they've got have or none of it because all they care about is the short term of lifespan of a project which can be seen through its hype and trend.
2384  Economy / Economics / Re: Scarcity of money on: March 19, 2023, 07:50:13 PM
When a country has a good economy then it means that there's sufficient money in circulation for their people. There's no actual scarcity of money for the entire world, there is even a bunch supply of money for most countries. What's scarce is the opportunities, resources, and land.
That's for sure that we've got limited for those things and that's making it hard for those people, especially in those countries that have limited opportunities as they barely survive every day. The resiliency of these people is greater than what can we think of because they've used to living like that even if it's the hardest.
2385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arbitrum Token Initial Price Speculation on: March 19, 2023, 07:17:16 PM
Are those wallets and balances that have got 89k in ARB tokens something real? I've seen people posting their stuff and eligibility for this token and even if the token just goes $1, that's already a massive win for those people that will receive thousands of this token.
I guess those speculations about it starting with $1 is good enough and that's what you can get from the initial price of it once it's already in the market. Many will sure start to dump ARB once it's being launched and distributed all of the tokens for the eligible participants since many exchanges have already expressed their listing for this token.
2386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth could perform better due to deflationary on: March 18, 2023, 09:47:50 PM
Can Ethereum surge past Bitcoin in this upcoming Bull Market? The supply has dropped a lot and it's no more inflationary, I think with this, Ethereum will make a new all-time high we have never seen before, do you think I am wrong?
If that's the reasoning then before that upgrade that Ethereum made, bitcoin is already known to be a deflationary cryptocurrency. In that case, if bitcoin surges, ETH goes with the flow, and yes possible that it can surge more than bitcoin but I'll hope more for bitcoin. But if bitcoin doesn't move at all then that means that altcoins including ETH will not move at all. That's why all of the altcoins including ETH are reliant on bitcoin's motion and even if there will be altcoins that will surge more than bitcoin, they're gonna do it temporarily. There can be an exception with ETH as it's at the top of the altcoins and very likely will stay there.
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 18, 2023, 09:13:59 PM
Well, as an update from the FiberXers, the new import is about to come and I think the adjustment will be fairly average on them. Vodanovich is a no-brainer and a good player based on his stats and origin. He was once drafted into the NBA and this only proves Franklin that talent can be forgotten when the toxicity is at its finest despite him very good individual player. Well, even me, I'll choose a better player that has a good mentality and attitude rather than someone who's really good but has a bad attitude. That's just going to give a domino effect to the other players in the roster. It's said that the play style of Vodanovich is a team player so, let's see.
With this development from Converge, I don't trust them to win a single game against SMB. So, I'll be betting against them regardless of the spread. I'm sure SMB will take the game seriously, as they don't want to be in a do-or-die situation. Anyway, good luck to both teams on their game tomorrow. Hopefully, Converge will not be dominated too much, so we can see an exciting game.
It's okay, whatever you prefer just to do it. We're all testing the waters on how the development will happen for them as they've got a new import replacement.
As much as we admire the team and their players, with such replacements and changes during this midst of the league, we're all worried that something might not click so fast.
However, we just have to wish them well and good and the match for later is about to happen and who knows if they'll prove something or the new import will adapt to the style of the whole team.
2388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 18, 2023, 10:55:01 AM
There's no question about Jamal Franklin's individual talent, however, the management could not tolerate his attitude anymore as he was not a team player. You know, Converge loves to run and move the ball, which did not happen when Franklin was on the floor. Although they understand it will be hard for them to win with the new import, it is what it is. They were just unfortunate with their old import

2389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: March 18, 2023, 09:26:25 AM
I'd like to see these gaming companies start to make a virtual world where gaming is the actual economy of it and we're living there. We earn to play and we play to earn. That's the dream of many gamers even up to now. There have been esports and gaming professionals that have been making a living out of these games and that's why if huge companies start this concept and they invest largely in it where everyone can earn inside their games, it's the motivating factor that they'll give to everyone who's wanting to live like this. We've seen how hype the P2E games were but it's not just sustainable at all, they just need to make out of something that benefits both, them and as well as their users. It's like utopia world.
2390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do we manage our crypto trading strategy on: March 18, 2023, 08:56:41 AM
If you already have a structured strategy working for you, it will be better if you stay glued to it as mastering another person's pattern might scatter the whole process for you.
I second, when you've got a working strategy then there's no need for you to try another one if it's truly effective for you. And the time that you should look for another strategy is when it's no longer working well with your trades. That's giving you the confidence that you've got the working strategy. It may not be perfect but as long as it's giving you more wins than losses, you stick to it.

My only recommendation for you is for you to study money management. This regardless is very important as it holds the key to success in trading.
That's part of trading though. Money management is part of having a trading strategy and that includes how you decide and the risk factors that you're taking.
2391  Economy / Economics / Re: Could Bitcoin one day become the global reserve currency? on: March 18, 2023, 08:17:47 AM
Without legal recognition from the state, of course, bitcoin can already be said to be a global currency, now the community is growing and making bitcoin more and more popular so that when we want to pay with bitcoin, many understand, with communities spread in almost all countries, I'm sure one day bitcoin can be global reserve currency.
Being a reserve is another separate topic but there's no question that it's a global currency right now or should we say, a global cryptocurrency that's being used widely. Since there have been a couple of countries that have announced their adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender, maybe the next development that will come from them is to see them start putting up bitcoins for their reserve funds. We have no idea if that's already part of their roadmap or if they're already planning about it. But to see bitcoin going to that position is one of the most exciting things that shall be part of bitcoin's development. We're already on the better part of it for which the taboo that it has been believed for so many years that it's only good as a digital currency on the dark and illegal marketplaces is about to break that thought for most people.
2392  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph- another "enhanced" KYC documents and process. on: March 18, 2023, 07:48:45 AM
2393  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: AirDrop Lovers PassoooooK ;)NEW Update: WTF AIRDROP!! on: March 18, 2023, 07:00:18 AM
Finally ARBITRUM ARB token dropping on March 23, check if you are eligible kung nagbridge kayo dati sa arbitrum for sure meron kayo check it here https://arbitrum.foundation/  or at bulk checker https://arbi.lol/  got 2,875 ARB BTW,
Congrats!
2394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: March 17, 2023, 11:54:07 PM
Bitcoin can pump 30k or down again 20K
Either.
You'll always get that answer for asking if bitcoin is going to be up or down by the end of the month. Volatility is gonna give the idea that it's always like that.
We don't have accurate answers for it but by looking at the charts now, it's very positive that we might see close or exact $30k by the end of this month.
But just to be safe with our expectations, always think of the possibility that it may go down again as it always does.
2395  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dose drugs have an advantage on human being. on: March 17, 2023, 11:26:51 PM
If a dose of the drug isn't recommended and suggested by your doctor, you shouldn't take it. Don't get advice from people that are not medical professionals. I've seen cases of too much does that they've taken drugs that weren't recommended and yet, they took the advice of nonmedical people and as result, they're the ones that suffered from taking doge of those unrecommended drugs.
Use of it inappropriately does have side effects and even the correct usage of it so, it's more harmful if the use was inappropriate. Those reasonings that their takers are saying are just being said to justify their addiction on it, nothing less, nothing more.

This is flat out wrong. Doctors are often biased, uneducated, scared due to potential legal ramifications for recommending some “drugs” etc.  Some doctors are flat out morons. My last two doctors are very pro-marijuana but my moms doctor is anti-marijuana because he’s uneducated and misinformed. This is why people often get opinions from multiple doctors.
I do agree with you about being uneducated, there really are those that have studied well to reach that degree and profession and passed all of those requirements including residency. But yeah, they've got their bias and it's one reason why the medical industry is seen to be a big market. Pharmas do have their contracts at least for some doctors to have their medicines suggested and prescribed by them. And yes about the latter part, when in doubt, always seek second, third, or more opinions from other doctors.

You are right all the assumption about drugs source as marijuana and the rest of others is quite a bit of alarming case and there is no justification for their usage even though some of that drug can be taken based on recommendations and their side effects are always clearly stated.

-Every wrong usage of the drug have its devastating effects on the users in the long run, and even the abuser is aware of that and has their mind prepared ahead of any possible outcome of their actions
When the drug takes effect, it's really hitting our nerves, brain cells, and every single possible part of our body. That's why there's the sensation that we want to take it as much as we can even if it's only a prescribed medicine especially marijuana that are being prescribed for medicinal purposes and not for recreational.
2396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some good rules for trading ask newbies. on: March 17, 2023, 10:56:00 PM
Those are good advice. DYOR, don't forget about that. It all ends up with being researchful with the trades that you're about to trade.

7- Don't follow the crowd
Sometimes this is a good option but at most times, this isn't really going well. I guess there's a better thing for following the crowd so, don't follow crowds blindly.
Because if you do, you're bound to losses just as what the others have been doing as they invest blindly.
The thing about going with the crowd, you get as much information as you get but the downside of it, you're prone in shilling and greedy by how they encourage everyone to hold this and buy this and that.
2397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby on: March 17, 2023, 10:27:04 PM
Congratulations!
And this greeting is for both those starting to invest in bitcoin and also for your successful labor. Those investors of bitcoin that have parents that have been through a lot, we should take notice of their sacrifices just as OP is trying to do with her baby. She's thinking already about the future of her baby and it may be different in the past because opportunities were limited but this time, it's time to give back to them as we've fully grown adults already. I'll also do that for my baby as that's necessary as a parent to think of the future of our young ones. I guess that bitcoin will be generating a lot of generational wealth and we're all hoping with that.
2398  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 17, 2023, 09:50:49 PM
Casinos are just like every other business and at they will easily set the system to support only themselves and protect the interest of the casino's revenue generation is the primary aim of casinos so at that it will be better if we have the mindset of losing to the house but not all the time.
They're here to make money and business and that's why if there's a need to modify their algorithm from someone who's been winning against them, that should be changed for them per se. But to say that they're scamming us? This has become an expression of many frustrated gamblers every time they lose. We have to change this type of complain if we think that they're playing against us, we're gambling and you should be wary that you can really be frustrated through losing and that's the part where we can't change as this is a business setup for making money and not to let all of their players win with every game that they bet. There's fairness on this but we just know that the house always wins no matter how many good bettors are there that keeps on winning, there will always be those bettors that shall have the opposite result through losing.

2399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is anyone using Price Action to trade full-time? on: March 17, 2023, 09:28:35 PM
After researching many methods, failing many times, losing money many times, I finally chose PA as my main method. If you study it carefully, PA is quite simple. My next plan is to become a full-time trader.
Does anyone have the same method and goal as me?
I guess that many are also using that method and if you're planning to become a full-time trader, it's more likely that you've been quite well in the market and you think that you'll be able to take the risky path of being a full-time trader. There's no need for you to manage your time but just need to monitor the market on a daily or every other day basis or any time you wish. But it's also best to learn more about the other strategies that are in the market and you should be aware of reading the charts and candles as much as possible so that, you can choose the best possible strategy that you're confident that you'll be able to use as you day trade. It may sound simple as it may seem but it's really hard to be one.
2400  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 17, 2023, 08:50:11 PM
Right. If we can be more profitable with less risk with bigger profits, then that will be more achievable for us. The fact that we can always lessen the risk as long as we have the required knowledge and skills for it, then it’s more of a win-win situation for us. After all, bitcoin is secured and a reliable investment, you just have to manage the risk and as much as possible control it so you can achieve higher level of success in the end.
You can manage the risk depending on the situation that you're in a while being invested in it. That's right that we need to choose what's best for us and if that's possible to choose less risk and take more profits then we have to choose that option to maximize our profits. But if we only have one option to make then we have to choose first what's more suitable for us and that's to take the lesser risk. Until we're capable of taking the higher risk that's possible for us to make and higher profit. We just need to bear with the risk that we're taking and have that until we get used to it.
