It's just that you have to be in moderation about everything.

If you have a headache you can take a tablet of analgin and the headache will go away. If you take too much analgin, in the most difficult situation you can get paralysis of the respiratory muscles and die from it.

If you like to eat good food but are unable to control the amount you eat, you will eventually develop obesity problems that will eventually lead to more serious illnesses.

If you don't know how to stop gambling at the right moment, then over time you will become a gambling addict.

It's very simple and this list can go on as long as you want. You need to know how to limit yourself and then everything will be fine.
Yeah, you're right that it's simple but sometimes the others can't take it seriously and they're the ones that's being in that situation. At first, they also know their limits but eventually, it is the emotion that had put them in that situation.

Addiction can arise from naive thoughts hoping to win the jackpot, chasing defeat, hoping to win to make something happen and hoping gambling can win and make it happen and many more who hope gambling is the solution. And thinking like that makes gamblers unable to control themselves and play with ambition and emotion which will actually make them keep losing and repeating it again because of high expectations.
and if we do it seriously and with consistent intention we can create new activities to do with our busy lives so that we forget about addiction more and what helps more is having a job and with this we can slowly reduce addiction due to time constraints, apart from work and other busy times for personal, family, friends and social interests. And with this you can make gambling a pleasure because you can do it in your free time and also limit yourself to gambling. But you also have to be disciplined and consistent with your original goals and you have to be able to manage your own finances and limit them when you have little time to gamble.
That's one solution to being busy with other things. It may be hard to resist at the beginning but when you started to put your interest into other things, you'll forget what you've been experiencing and you'll just have to enjoy the process that you're having. However, the other activity that's being done shouldn't be close to gambling so that you'll not be ending up doing the same thing and allotting time where you know what can happen again to you.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 22, 2023, 06:54:24 PM
Long story short, if a gambler still maintains control over their gambling habits there is a big chance that they can distancing from it, but if they lose control over themselves it becomes significantly harder to do so imo.
The matter is always the control, control of emotions, and how it goes with regard to gambling activity. If we can't control it anymore, we can't also control ourselves on how we're going to quit. But if you've got an inch of control over everything, quitting is easy. You know your priorities and you're all set to gamble a few times then go back without any emotional attachment to it. There are gamblers that are like that, they're coming for fun and setting boundaries, and if they wanna quit because they've got too many things to do then they'll do it.
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEP20 OR ERC20? Preferred token on: June 22, 2023, 06:32:38 PM
After the price of Ethereum went above $1000 that's where the disaster for users came,
That's normal whenever a price pump comes, expect that even those unpopular chains will also get an increase in fee if they don't scale up and when their demand increases.
I honestly think it's more of a problem with the fact that ethereum price just simply gets too high, current gwei required for ethereum was normal back in the days, it's just around
10 gwei or so, and it's become abnormal after it went that high and even if scalability increased, it's still the same problem until today.
even the release of second layer solution didn't do much either, I guess we still have long way to go until this problems gets resolved honestly.
at the meantime, just use the second layer and we're set, though doesn't mean every token is available in these 2nd layer.
I guess that we have to bear with it if it's about Ethereum's ecosystem and scalability. The problem will also exist in other chains but good that some of them manage to get rid of the high fees despite having the increased demand. Why can't the other projects do the same and just follow that track wherein the users are the ones that are benefiting from it? It all leads to business matters, despite that the demand of a project is high and some issues are still unsolvable if some solutions are offered by other projects, that can't happen to collab but it's good that we're seeing altcoins having supported in other chains so that's one good collaboration that we're seeing as a solution for high fees.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2023, 05:56:07 PM
We'll see that but I guess the Spurs have already got plans for that so that he'll get some muscles and buff for his body. It can still be a working in progress but it seems that everyone is hyped on him. We know that everything's gonna be changed when he's already stepped into the league.
It won't be the same as the leagues that he's played before. He's still young and I am sure that some veterans would likely challenge him inside the court and hoping he won't be injured and won't be ending up like Greg Oden.

I surely hope aswell that he would get muscle mass, but eventually, he will develop them for sure as the NBA progress Webanyama is still young he will likely get the position he wants, and likely muscle mass is his solution for the inside problem, and on the game of France VS USA team France the team of Victor Wenbanyama lost to the USA and it is because of Kenneth Lofton, Jr. the 300 pounds that bullied Wembanyama inside the paint, so for sure he badly needed that additional mass,
Yeah, they'll get to it eventually.
The important thing that they need to do for now is to get him and then do the rest next when he's with them. Everything is gonna be taken care of by the management and it's all planned and they've got programs for him already. We're all optimistic that he's gonna be built by the team and there are a lot more plans for him.

Not really surprised that Smart was the first one to be traded since he's the most expendable of the trio but never imagined KP to be there. He'll have less playing time for sure unless he'll be their main center which I doubt. I think Celtics is taking too much risk by changing a lot of the team dynamics.
Smart going with Grizzlies was I guess a smart move for the Grizzlies but let's see if Porzingis will be that useful to them.
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or not? BTC investors need to rethink their strategy as on: June 22, 2023, 05:25:48 PM
The supply of illiquid BTC has continued to increase in Q2 2023, showing the opposite relationship to the price.
Illiquid?  Huh

BTC's recent pump to 30k caused a dramatic shift in investor sentiment. Bitcoin's sluggish growth over the last month coupled with legal action against the top exchange, has significantly dampened investors' appetite for trading. When FUD hit the market, most long-term investors started taking coins off exchanges to support self-custody.
I am long term and I am sure that the others as well that's long on Bitcoin never kept their BTC's on exchanges.

With these changes taking place, investors may need to reconsider their strategies, considering the extent to which these factors can affect price movements and their profits. Risk evaluation and portfolio management are becoming increasingly important aspects in this dynamic market condition.
You're right on this, there's no other better approach than to hold your own assets and buy when there's the opportunity.
1386  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: June 22, 2023, 04:51:15 PM

If the withdrawal feature of that website isn't allowing you, then it's likely that you fell for these scammers that made you deposit. And they probably made you believe that you've won a trade or a casino that has allowed you to win big. Sorry to tell you OP that consider it as a loss as no one will be able to help you to recover it. One big thing that you can do is to tell us what's the website for everyone's awareness and how did you ended up depositing big amount on that website.

That is the expectation of everyone but as Og said, there can be some unexpected things that we may see but I am not hoping for it. I'm wishing all the best to him and the Spurs.
We can imagine how this rookie will be guarded by veterans as he picks and signs himself to a good team. Gregg surely has planned this all along and we might see another player that will stay with his first-pick team until his retirement. What a such good team and what I can see from the crowd's reaction of Wemby being taken as first pick by the Spurs is like there's just much excitement on it and everyone is waiting to see him play, as soon as possible.
Hopefully everything will go accordingly and like what you said, the crowd is waiting for him to bring back the excitement chances
that Spurs management is already working behind while waiting for the finalization of his contract.

I mean, coach Pop might have a bigger plan for this young superstar. We all know that they are not in the good state but acquiring
Wemby might give them a good run this upcoming season.

But still depends on how the management will pair him with what he needs to make a competitive run.
Well surely he is and that's why the media is all over him and the preps are also there. I just hope that these excitements that everyone is feeling won't turn into disappointment inside the court or if there will be a quick injury. I remember the same excitement as what people had with Chet Holmgren last year but it turned out that he's out entirely because of the injury that he's got. Both are skinny but with a height so, we will see them clash soon.
1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEP20 OR ERC20? Preferred token on: June 21, 2023, 06:49:55 PM
It will depends on our investment demanding because there are some project follow erc20 network. But if you want ask me for low transactions fees network then you should taken bsc network.
Binance chain no doubt has a cheaper fee than the Ethereum chain (ERC20).

However at this real time where people choice bsc network for reduce gas fees and upcoming many project follow them.
If you are for the variety of projects, both seem to be equal for now or it is ERC20 that has more than the BSC. Either will do if you're just there to trade and gain some short-term profits. Sounds easy but it's actually not.

After the price of Ethereum went above $1000 that's where the disaster for users came,
That's normal whenever a price pump comes, expect that even those unpopular chains will also get an increase in fee if they don't scale up and when their demand increases.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2023, 05:00:39 PM
Considering the team Wemby is coming from is basically Tony Parkers, we could easily say that he was always getting good things heard about Spurs all his life, I mean him going to where his teams owner played as a legend makes sense in the same logic as well. Only thing better than this would have been a first round pick that grew up in San Antonio all his life. All in all I bet that Spurs will be a playoff team right in a season as soon as they get him.
That is the expectation of everyone but as Og said, there can be some unexpected things that we may see but I am not hoping for it. I'm wishing all the best to him and the Spurs.

Wemby is truly the greatest prospect on this draft and you might also be right that he could be next to Lebron. But we don't know yet what's gonna be the run of his career until we see him play. There is no doubt that the Spurs have secured him already and I'm excited to see who's gonna picked regardless of the no. they'll get and on what round they'll be picked. So after the easy NBA finals that we've watched, this is always the next big thing NBA fans are waiting for.

I think Wemby is going to be a bust. He’s just too tall and too young to have the strength he needs to play in the NBA. I think he’s likely to get injured long before he’s established the type of body he will need to compete in the key. I think he’s going to be bullied pretty badly and get hurt. Likely he won’t see much playing time for a while as a result.
We'll see that but I guess the Spurs have already got plans for that so that he'll get some muscles and buff for his body. It can still be a working in progress but it seems that everyone is hyped on him. We know that everything's gonna be changed when he's already stepped into the league.

1394  Economy / Economics / Re: How do banks generate income? on: June 21, 2023, 12:14:37 PM
agree, it is clear that the profits received from the bank are very large by using customer funds to rotate and lend to those in need, where the interest set for the borrower is greater than giving interest to customers.
but that is the compensation that is obtained from the movement of banks and it is natural that banking products are very profitable and interrelated and need each other between savers and borrowers by using banking facilitation.
That is how banks make money and that's why more and more profits are coming into them because they're good at spreading investments and making the most of it from people's funds. Everyone needs to understand that it is the business model of the banks, if you don't like to earn a little percentage of your money from them then you shouldn't keep it with them and instead, you should make your own business from your own money or investments as well.

1396  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: BINANCE urged to be BANNED in the PHILIPPINES on: June 21, 2023, 10:26:38 AM
Kahit papano nakakabawi bawi na din naman at mukhang ok na din ulit ang Binance US dahil sa mga balita na hindi na ife-freeze ang mga assets nila.
For now wala na tayong naririnig with SEC, and I think masesettle naman ito ni Binance privately to avoid any panic and so far nagiging ok naren ang Market. If this will continue sana magtuloy tuloy na talaga although possible paren na magkaroon ng other issue with SEC.
Ok na ang market at kapag may mga ganitong balita, nagiging apektado panandalian kaya yung mga nagte-take advantage kapag bumaba ng konti yun yung tunay na panalo katulad nung mga nabalita na mga financial institutions na nagsibilihan.

Its still good that Binance can handle this and will not collapse easily, though ingat paren tayo kase alam naman natin ang FUD, malaking effect nito sa market.
Kaya naman nilang i-handle yan kaso nga parang target sila karamihan ng mga regulators sa iba't-ibang panig ng mundo kung saan meron silang operations.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to borrow ETH to buy BTC? on: June 20, 2023, 11:49:28 PM
May I ask you to share your experience and advise about how to borrow ETH to buy BTC, please?
If you want to borrow ETH and want to convert it into BTC why not just go borrow directly?

I'm interested in taking adventage of price action so could be settled off-chain.
But before borrowing, this is like an arbitrage that you want to do. I don't think that someone will be easy on you and will just allow you to borrow money. Just a tip, I've seen people that have borrowed money to invest in crypto and then they've ended up with a bad fate.
Or you can explain more about your plans but still, I doubt it that there's a platform that you'll be ever allowed to borrow without a guaranteed collateral even if you put this plan on their table.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: June 20, 2023, 11:24:57 PM
Because some casinos earn as well by doing that fee, maybe a little bit but it has. We cannot avoid such thing because it is really necessary maybe sometimes just like what you have said some casinos offer free withdraw if you reach the min amount but not at all,
It's rare to see now a casino that offers free withdrawal and that is because there's an inconsistency with the fees. Although I've seen some and it's like a promo for their new users so for every 1st withdrawal, they're giving it for free.

maybe OP needs to try other coin option that has a lesser fees so that he can enjoy his winning.
Some casinos that have an in-app exchange are convenient for their gamblers to avoid such high fees. And that's why everyone has their preference on which they like, some are for that feature, others are for the games and its convenient approach to their customers.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 20, 2023, 10:52:14 PM
Anyone else getting excited for the NBA draft on Thursday June 22? I always love the NBA draft over most other drafts being that there is only two rounds, so you pretty much know anyone in round 1 or 2 could easily become and NBA star one day.

Lucky for the Spurs getting the number 1 pick.  I don't know much about Victor Wembanyama, but I do know he's hands down the number one prospect since Lebron, which is of course saying something.

That being said, Lebron is the most hyped prospect of all time...is Victor number 2?
Wemby is truly the greatest prospect on this draft and you might also be right that he could be next to Lebron. But we don't know yet what's gonna be the run of his career until we see him play. I just saw a post about Ahanmisi that he's likely to be taken by the Gin Kings. But that post doesn't confirm anything but is also another rumor. While coach Yeng has said that he's still willing to take him if Ahanmisi himself approach them. Yet it seems that the guy doesn't want to be there anymore and wouldn't take shouting and curses from Yeng him.  Tongue
He probably is just applying the quote of knowing your worth and that offer to him of 750k-850k went quickly when he wants 900k plus bonuses per week depending on his performance wasn't enough for him.
