2381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is the future of btc and eth? on: August 25, 2019, 02:34:23 PM
As the top 2 coins in terms of marketcap, Bitcoin and Ethereum I think have a good future ahead. Ethereum are releasing Ethereum 2.0 early next year where you can stake if you are holding a minimum of 32 ETH.

Bitcoin?? I think we know already the future of it Smiley. Just buy and hold Bitcoin if you really trust it and you think it will increase in the next years.

I think it's impossible for us to know the future of bitcoin since we have to consider the blockchain if they will develop it to be prolonged. Bitcoin was very dependent on the technology, the future of bitcoin depends on its network.

What if there's a coin that has a similar network but fastest of them all?
What we will react or do on that kind of scenario?

What if we buy bitcoin today and the network crashed because of some technology hindrances?
There's a lot of question that is popping on my mind if bitcoin will still exist when we get older.
2382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenNode requires KYC now! on: August 25, 2019, 02:29:55 PM
I don't think there is any problem with the KYC since it is somehow necessary , the problems regarding bitcoins is rising and therefore governments are getting strict I don't think not doing KYC is even an option for them.
If you give your information to someone then you for sure won't try and do stupid things , end of the story , people should understand that it can actually help to keep a database of every user and track the activities.
KYC is important.

Necessary for business only right?

I mean there's a lot of people who hide their personalities because it's very dangerous for them if they hold a lot of money. How can you trust the platform? If this is a local platform then I gladly do KYC because it's a trusted platform that is designated and exclusive for our country if not then it's dangerous to risk your personal information.

Try to check the disadvantages of sending personal information in a platform even you have good intentions.
If someone doesn't like KYC, it doesn't mean they're doing something wrong, that's a fact we should remember.  Cheesy
2383  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Sino dito ang naka experience ng last bull run (2017) on: August 25, 2019, 02:24:21 PM

Sayang naman, are you expecting more kaya hindi mo agad binenta? Actually sobrang taas na kaya non so siguro kahit sinong tao magpapanic trade. Lahat naman ng tao dadaan talaga sa mistakes and through that mas magiging successful tayo.

So you've done a mistake siguro naman nakapag-trade ka ngayon ulit or are you expecting na umabot pa ng 1M bago mo ibenta? Sa tingin ko dapat may reserve ka for bull run sa Q4 ng 2019 at yung pang-trade ngayong umabot ng 600k kasi baka yun na yung peak niya this year.

Goodluck sayo.
2384  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [DISCUSSION] Different Bitcoin Payment Gateways ⚡ *NEW* on: August 25, 2019, 01:23:34 PM
This post might not necessarily be about gateways in general but I need to somehow vent it all out here.

I just want to say BitPay sucks big time! They are piling up shitty decisions, one after another! Their decision to block a thousand USD donation to save the Amazon forest, where the world's 40% of oxygen is coming from, and where thousands millions and thousands millions of the world's flora and fauna are at risk, is way beyond reason. I suspect that the reason is not really the payment limit. It is for sure some dirty and selfish politics within crypto!

Yes, actually Brazil's President is the mastermind of this heartbreaking situation.

Imposible rin naman kasi na sa payment limit yung issue since gateway sila, I mean they should have the feature na makapag-transact ng malakihang pera kasi nga yun yung purpose nila.

Pero since ang purpose nga ng gateways is to allow merchants accept bitcoin, it means bitcoin nga ang narereceive nila.

and based na rin sa issue ng steam kaya tinanggal nila ang pag-accept ng bitcoin;
Quote
The moment-by-moment shifts in value were a problem, Valve said, because of the narrow window customers had to complete a purchase using bitcoins.

If a Bitcoin-based transaction was prolonged, the value of the coins being transferred could change "significantly", it said.

That was very fast of you, finaleshot2016! Nice poster you've got there.

Congratulations to all OG supporters and fans! They really deserve it! As I've said, they belong to a different league. They have successfully broken the curse, and a back-to-back TI champions at that!

But sadly, yes, the crowd is made up of mannequins!

Thanks, credits to Wykrhm Reddy!

They're on a different level, Team Liquid too because they managed to reach in the finals even they're on the lower bracket. Still, hands down to them because they're the kings of Lower Bracket who defeated all of the teams in lower even China's LGD.

OG has the easiest way to reach the finals so it means they're on the level of Gods.
I hope they changed the venue, Dota2 has a great community, they don't need sponsors for the event and we don't need bias crowd.
2386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 25, 2019, 12:42:18 PM
I'm expecting a game 5 but OG already finished the game!

It's a 16 million dollars diffusal! Wink
Congratulations to those people who bet on OG, my team liquid lost the game.

The game was very phenomenal and I can't easily move on.

credits to Wykrhm Reddy

Still, the crowd wasn't that cool, I hope the next venue was the Philippines and we promise that the event will be more exciting.
The host or interviewer didn't talk about ana, well he was also the one who carries the team.

Go liquid! That's insane that OG is unstoppable in game two not letting Liquid farm and killing every hero they see. I hope Liquid will find a way to adjust in that kind of play to regain the lead.

Start of Game 3.

Well, ana is very unstoppable on that game and they're very aggressive. Even me, can't handle those gameplays and it will literally choke me.

The liquid wasn't able to adjust because their gameplay is the same as the fight on LGD which is recent. If they are able to adjust their gameplay, they'll manage to win the TI9.

Bet on Team Liquid, you'll get a sure win.
2388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenNode requires KYC now! on: August 25, 2019, 11:10:14 AM
Contrary to a lot of people here, I would welcome such steps taken by legal merchants and businesses. Because legal businesses are bound to the comply with the local laws and regulations. Also I don't understand why would anyone resist such KYC requirement if that particular individual isn't doing anything illegal. If I have a t-shirt store today and my payment settlement provider is asking for KYC, why would I deny the request and take my business elsewhere?? What's the problem in here??

I have to say that I completely agree. It's sad that many users don't understand that KYC is actually designed for their protection not against them.

If the design worked, then absolutely.  But the design is deeply flawed and probably causes more identity theft than it prevents.  How many of these incidents would have been far less serious if it wasn't a legal requirement to hold all that data?  Creating vast treasure troves for criminals to plunder is utterly stupid.

It's kinda risky especially when you're a big company. You've got a point but you didn't think about the individual users who use gateways for their businesses. The platform might see it as an opportunity for them, even you have bad intentions, it's still risky for the individuals to send their private information.

If you're talking about business, big companies are trying to negotiate with gateways personally, so there's no problem with that and no confidential information will be given because contracts are existing while in the individual users, it's very unfair for them.
2389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is the future of btc and eth? on: August 25, 2019, 11:04:06 AM
If you're asking about the future of Bitcoin and Ethereum, there's a lot of opportunity coming for them every time they keep existing.

So basically, we don't know the exact and specific details about their future but we knew that it will be a huge and good future especially for us who supports them.

If you're aware of the technology itself which is blockchain, you'll know that this advanced technology has a good future and It will help us to develop our society and especially our economic rate, I hope our government study about it.

..........Is it now that cryptocurrency is just a place to invest and make a profit without seeing its power and meaning? I think better things will replace the old ones

It does not seem to be a true prediction. At least for now,..........

It might happen, bitcoin and other leading coins will be replaced but it's way too far and has a low probability. So chill, we know that bitcoin will still reigns for a long time. Shitcoins can't replace the leading coins in the market.
2390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 25, 2019, 10:46:14 AM
It's already the end of game 2 of the finals and we're getting hyped!

I thought Team Liquid will have 2-0 already but OG wants to be champion also so they manage to get game 2. It's also the first time in TI of DOTA2 that it will have two times champion because Team Liquid was a TI7 champion while OG was the defending champion (TI8 champion) and now, TI9, we will have it.

It's good to watch TI now but there's no crowd, I hope the venue of The international goes to the Philippines so we can hype the event even there's no Filipino team in the finals.

I wanted to bet but there's no money left for me, I'll just support TL to become the TI9 champion. The miracle is in there.
2391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenNode requires KYC now! on: August 24, 2019, 06:22:24 PM
The only way you can set up a service without kyc/aml is if you set it up as a hidden resource in tor or equivalent "darknet" site, or something entirely p2p like Bisq which uses tor hidden service for publishing.

The only place you could still set up services like that without kyc is in an unregulated country, which will no doubt get pressured to adopt regulations anyway.

In such site only the community itself can patrol funds origin, and you could end buying "tainted coins" (ie. stolen from an exchange/phished wallet).

Interesting times indeed...

There are other Bitcoin payment gateways that don't require KYC.
Like what @OmegaStarScream, BTCPay is the one that's leading due to OpenNode's downfall.

Bitpay was also a choice but there's also an issue regarding their platform.

2392  Local / Pamilihan / [DISCUSSION] Different Bitcoin Payment Gateways ⚡ *NEW* on: August 24, 2019, 05:18:05 PM

Since may dalawang existing issue na kumakalat ngayon sa ating bitcoin community which is;

First of all, any idea about the word gateways?

If you're familiar with LoRaWAN or Long Range Wireless Area Network, imposibleng mawalan ng gateway sa mga ganyang network kasi pang malawakan so it means na through this system, doon mo papadaanin yung data mo para mapunta sa respective database.

Through bitpay which is one of the Bitcoin Payment Gateways, makakapagbayad ka ng games through this method.

Purpose ng Bitcoin Payment Gateways

  • Mas secure yung payment mo kasi nga blockchain at transparent pa.

No complex explanations, ganon lang kasimple.

2393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / OpenNode requires KYC now! on: August 24, 2019, 02:42:40 PM
This news is very fresh and I know there's a lot of users of OpenNode;
Quote
OpenNode offers a robust platform that consists of an easy to use eCommerce and retail plug-in solution, payment infrastructure API's for developers, and the fastest payment processor limits to allow for brand new payment models and instantaneous settlements.

OpenNode was known as bitcoin payment gateway through blockchain or lightning network
But lately, they are requiring KYC now to their users for them to withdraw their money. We all know that most of us disagree by putting KYC on every platform we're in.

So there's a lot of users of opennode who bypassed the platform to withdraw their money. Just by filling the Welcome Back Screen, you can now access the platform and withdraw all of your money in there.
Quote
We're giving people time to submit their information. Meanwhile, your account is operational and allows you to withdraw all your funds without submitting any documents, just fill the Welcome Back screen.

It's temporary only and if you knew that you're one of those users of opennode, withdraw it now.
2394  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Gumawa ng Blockchain gamit ang Programming Languages. on: August 22, 2019, 03:17:52 PM
Hindi po ako programmer pero parang sa nakikita ko po wala siyang network na pinagkonekan? is that for simulation lang ng hashes per block in blockchain using Raspberry Pi?
--

Exactly!

So basically, ang ginawa ko is still a blockchain pero not connected in the network. This is applicable on my PC only at ako lang ang nag-gegenerate nito. If you want to create a blockchain network, you can easily create one since open source naman lahat ng codings ngayon, kung gusto mo rin na may access yung ibang tao sa pag-browse ng blockchain mo.
2395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Satoshi Actually Lost His Private Keys on: August 21, 2019, 02:01:24 PM
All these theories are just that.  For my vote, there is absolutely NO way Satoshi lost his/her private keys.  He may be dead (doubtful) but if so then he is not the one claiming to be Satoshi now is he?  I cannot imagine seeing evidence that would convince me if he/she can't sign the btc address.
--

What about other coin developer that built those other crypto coins that we currently see today ?  We can see thier devs on public and they are not afraid to expose thier identity even if they knew that someon can get jelous and do threats with them but they are still here alive and kicking until now  .  nothing really wrong with that to show up and it does not matter at all even if your creation was anonymous or decentralized

It's because some of the coins that have been created by the other devs are not quite good. I mean, Bitcoin has the original technology which is blockchain and it's being copied by several developers. So if there's an issue regarding about the decentralization, who will be your first target? definitely the founder. Altcoins aren't good enough and sometimes you can call them shitcoins.

Those people aren't scared because they imitated the blockchain and it's not against the law since it's technology, you can be innovative on some existing technology. While satoshi, who made a huge difference between a digital currency and fiat will be targeted by the government if there's happening in the economic stability of their country.
2396  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Gumawa ng Blockchain gamit ang Programming Languages. on: August 19, 2019, 02:14:01 PM
Hindi po ako programmer pero parang sa nakikita ko po wala siyang network na pinagkonekan? is that for simulation lang ng hashes per block in blockchain using Raspberry Pi?
Like what I've said, it's just a basic one where we can analyze how does the blockchain works. Yes, you need a connection if you wanted to input the network kaso wala naman akong ginamit na connection so there's no network.

I'm not a programmer also, so I made a simple one and source ko ang github if tatanungin mo naman yung codes. The reason why I made this is na-curious lang din ako kung paano at bakit nga ba tinawag na blockchain?
Kasi kung sa tutuusin halos lahat ng advanced technology ay may network, lahat ng makabago ay may netowrk, mapa-IoT man yan, LoRawan, there's a network, kaya understood na yon. Ang point ko lang din dito is para malaman what's inside and how does it simulate hashes.

So for short, there's no network, I hope you understand.

2397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Lightning Network save bitcoin? on: August 18, 2019, 09:58:03 PM
Even if bitcoin takes 10hrs for confirmation for a normal low fee transaction during a busy network or network congestion, people and even altcoin developers will still prefer storing their coins in bitcoin than some uncertain shitcoin created out of the blue, majorly because of greed. Lightening network will definitely enhance the process of bitcoin scalability.

Yes, why would they store their money on a different coin and platform if it doesn't have the same market situation? Those altcoins today was kinda worthless, some of it doesn't have unique purpose for existence. Most of the altcoins today aren't interesting and it's not very promising like the ETH and the other top altcoins.

Regarding about LN, as of now it's the layer 2 solution for bitcoin scalability problem and should have more features for the development of transactions on the network.
2398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: August 18, 2019, 05:45:03 PM
Bitcoin fantasy scenario movie would be so cool,
and I bet it would cause huge reaction in whole crypto world.
...

It should be more sci-fi and action. People today really loves to watch Science fiction and I think Bitcoin will really fit on this movie genre. A movie where the protagonist finding the lost Bitcoin and he should crack the codes to find the clues of satoshi to discover the huge amount of Bitcoin.

If you're thinking about the future of bitcoin, you'll come up to this kind of storyline.  Cheesy
I also wanted to expose bitcoin and the technology itself which is blockchain so people can familiarize what it's purpose on the present.
2399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Becoming More Available? on: August 18, 2019, 05:33:01 PM
Here in my country, the Philippines already adapted the usage of bitcoin on every transaction. We have a local wallet which is called coins.ph that allows us to use Bitcoin as a payment from different transactions like bills or online stores.

To answer your question, yes it is getting more available than the past years. As a student, I already foresee the future of bitcoin, it's now powerful, what more it can do when the whole world, work with its technology?

I find bitcoin to be a very effective tool to change the perspective of each individual in digital money.
2400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 2nd Anniversary, SEGWIT! on: August 18, 2019, 05:28:02 PM
At first, I thought SEGWIT was a layer 2 solution like the Lightning Network that's a solution for bitcoin scalability problem but I was wrong. It's was made by one of the right hand of Satoshi Nakamoto which is Gavin Andresen.

Quote
Gavin was chosen by satoshi to lead development of the Bitcoin client software. Prior to that, he created The Bitcoin Faucet to give free Bitcoin to new users. A true Bitcoin pioneer we should all be thankful for.
They knew at first that the bitcoin users will grow and by that, transactions will also grow too. So they develop something to increased the block size 1MB, that thing called SegWit. Hoping to have more update/upgrade on the main protocol of the Bitcoin since the society is getting to adapt the usage of bitcoin.
