1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: June 20, 2020, 11:20:10 AM
Ohh FYI guys, there's a blitz mode which has 5 minutes per player, it's a fast-phased game, unlike those online games you're betting which has 40-60 minutes per fight to know the winner. It's not only about the normal mode that takes a lot of time, obviously, it's very tiring and boring to watch.
I'm betting on those games 'cause I'm playing it too but then I realize, what about chess? I'm not good at it but I find those blitz games really cool tho.
I wonder if chess could possibly be implemented as an eSport game nowadays because I believe there are some engines that players could use without the opponent knowing, so with these, the game will not be fair unless both sides will agree that they will allow the management to inspect their system using third party application such as team viewer.

Though, for Blitz games which usually lasts 3-5mins, this could be good as engines will not be fast enough to find the best move in just a short period of time.
Actually it's possible, some of the tournament that I've mentioned is a blitz game so they can't use the popular chess engines like stockfish, Komodo and Houdini. Players on the chess sites that I've mentioned in the OP are also playing 5 minutes games 'cause they already knew about these engines. Grandmasters are also aware of it, actually, they are using it after the game to review their mistakes or to make a new strategy with it.

Streamers on twitch are also playing a 5 minutes game, so definitely it is possible as long as the mechanics are only 5-10 minutes. It is true that it'll ruin the tournament if the game has 30 minutes per player, they can use 3rd party programs on the other monitor while streaming. If someone is using a chess engine, higher-ratings chess players will notice it quickly for having a weird but a winning move. Stockfish and the other chess engine have a character, they always make odd movements but would definitely win. Chess engines are also playing with each other, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akgalUq5vew you'll notice that some moves aren't human approach.

Chess involves a lot of analysis and predictions, and I don't think a lot of bettors would want to get involved with the flow of the game. Also, players are extremely unpredictable, and there are cases wherein a player with an elo of <2200 beats someone with a rating of more than 2500. On paper it does not seem like that is much of a difference but on chess, it's a huge gap already. Perhaps PVP chess games with something at stake is your best alternative, but that's already being implemented on multiple websites so I'm not sure what kind of approach this thing is situated with really.

Not gonna lie, twitch streamers that don't know shit about chess who tried hard to learn it is amusing, especially those pitting against GM Hikaru.
Chess are similar to League of Legends, Dota 2, and CS:GO which has more mechanics, analysis, and good decision making to win the game. If we're having a hard time on which to bet on a chess game, same goes for those online games that I've mentioned which has a lot of bettors. I've played those games and honestly speaking, there are many mechanics there which is a game-changer so even if you knew the team is very strong, you can still lose your bets. In order to win on those games, you need to study the game items, map rotations, counterplays, skills and so many more.

So most of the online games that we're betting right now have nothing different to Chess, actually, chess is much simpler for not having fancy designs and complex mechanics like those games. Some thought it's very hard and requires a lot of analysis because it's a medieval game but they didn't know that every time an online game releases patch notes (updates to the game), eSports players are stressing themselves to develop another strategy to win the fight.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: June 19, 2020, 11:01:08 PM
Believe me or not but there are only small percent of gamblers that are interested in chess than other physical sports. I think also that Lebron James is popular than Garry Kasparov.
Casino`s really love bettors and they are after the bets than in sports. If only few gamblers have interest in chess sports then there is only small amount of wagers every time there is a tournament. I don`t say that chess isn`t popular, it is just only small percent have interest to bet. But then, who knows? It may really give an impact to gambling world since a new sport may be added.
Agree on some part that chess isn't popular since it's an old/medieval game but this trend right now will be a stepping stone to make the game popular again.

Twitch is a very popular platform on streaming, so definitely it will be an easy process to make it on the top (actually it's on the top right now). There are millions of viewers day by day so chess will definitely dominate the other games listed on betting platforms. So I'm hoping that online casino or gambling platforms should consider this trend right now, it might give them an opportunity and advantages.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: June 19, 2020, 10:46:57 PM
I barely see a popular sports betting platform that includes chess on it. Most of the adults are playing chess so I wonder why there are few sports betting that has it.
Chess is a great game and there are plenty of players on it in lichess.org, chess24.com and chess.com.

Actually, there's a lot of tournament in chess that was implemented during the quarantine and those events are being participated by Grand Masters which has a rating of greater than 2500.
  • Clutch Chess Showdown 2
  • Lindores Abbey Rapid Challenge
  • Clutch Chess Champions
  • FIDE Chess.com Online Nations Cup
  • Chess24 MCI Finals

On the side of streaming.

There's a bunch of streamers on twitch that's playing chess right now and you can't believe that it has a lot of viewers. One of those popular streamers is GM Hikaru, he also played on those tournaments that I've mentioned. Even the top 1 overall rating, GM Magnus Carlsen, is also streaming in twitch.

We all knew that most popular games are LoL, CS:GO, Dota 2, and Fornite but recently, a medieval game which is chess, climbed to the top of the most played games in twitch. This game is a sport and can even be considered in eSports since it can be done electronically so I hope there are gambling sites that consider this game on their platform.

GM Hikaru also have a chess battle with popular streamers in other games like @xQc @BoxBox @voyboy @Papaplatte @Yassuo @nymnion and there's a possibility that Twitch will be organized a twitch rival on chess! IMO, it'll be better to have this kind of category since there are many fans of chess all over the world.

1424  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Transaction without Internet. on: June 19, 2020, 10:19:04 PM
Kaya ikaw, sa tingin mo ba na posible ang Offline transaction in the future?

Being realisting on our currenty situation in the Philippines I doubt they would prefer this solutions, kung hindi parang magiging alternative nalang talag sya kung walang internet access for Bitcoin transactions. We aren't that technologically inclined and our country is also pushing for internet availability lalong lalo na nagkaroon tayo ng 3rd telco which will be operating in 2021. Dito palang alam mo na parang ma-oovershadow ng internet access ang other alternatives. Also @OP gaano ka-dali maka-access sa isang LoRaWAN network? If it is more complicated then connecting to a WIFI access or turning on a mobile data baka maging unappealing sa mga tao kung may added steps pa sya.
Ngayon ko lang nakita 'to.

It seems na ganon na nga yung mangyayari, the idea is just for alternative incase na mawalan nga tayo ng internet like magkaroon ng disconnection ng towers or sa submarine cables.

Exactly, some people thought na mas magiging mahirap daw pero and actual na gagawin talaga dito is magkakaroon ng 3rd party programs like apps na pwedeng mag-hahandle nung transaction. Parang katulad lang din sa mga projects ng IoT or internet of things, na controlled ng isang device and wireless siya. And yes, hindi nga madaling gawin but the idea is very interesting, especially kapag nawalan nga talaga ng internet, it is something that we can rely if we still have BTC.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 19, 2020, 10:02:31 PM

From my point of view, people who started to gamble in casinos in the middle of the pandemic don't really care about the virus because most people assume that the virus is just an exaggeration, that is why they continue to go to public places even there are lockdowns. Online casinos or crypto casinos is really the safest way to play because you can avoid making physical contact and social distancing, so we should really stay inside our homes for our family safety.

Still, I don't think they can do that since as far as I know casinos are closed during the pandemic. I don't think they wouldn't be able to gamble at casinos while it is closed. Another thing is that most of the officials here are so strict. They would be able to gamble online but we can't say that they are ignorant with the pandemic, they can do it, they can afford it, let them. We have our own ways of entertaining ourselves. It is their choice.

gambling here are active too but they keep it a secret because its still against on the rules and they can get on serious trouble if they got discovered gambling during pandemic season . its a double risk for gamblers , if im with them i will just stay at home and play online gambling instead . @kong hey , its true  . many people thinks that corona is fake and media are only hyping it  but how can they explain the death tolls ?  do they mean those people are fake too and those people really died for other diseases ?

I think I can understand that. If you think of it, I know for sure that we have that fair share of doing something against the rules or against the protocols during the pandemic, that is how we are. It may be that not that big but still, we went against it. I think it is better for these gamblers to gamble with their friends rather than in a casino, if we are still talking in mid-May but right now, I guess it is fine.
I also prefer playing online gambling or playing with friends, rather than going to hidden casinos that are still open even when a pandemic is present. Unless we have already invented a vaccine to it, it's still not safe, this is the only time we should go to casinos. If we all go to casinos right now, the rate of confirmed cases per day will definitely increase because casinos are not safe at all as there is usually common contact with other people. So as much as possible let us avoid going to establishments that are definitely will make your life at risk, even secret or hidden casinos should be prohibited. And besides, it doesn't help the recovery of each nation from the COVID-19, actually, it makes it worst.

it is more risky to go to the casino for now because people entering the casino might come from far away.
actually I saw the picture above where the dealers use masks and face masks, does that not make the players uncomfortable?
Agree, it shows that players or gamblers aren't comfortable. I thought they're going into the casino to chill and to be entertained? It's useless if you're wearing a mask that is not very comfortable to wear right?
I guess online platforms are enough for those who gamble because gambling is their stress-reliever but if a player is looking for the class, like a casino, they will not fully experience the class if there are hindrances on it. So obviously, it is still not the right time to go into casinos right now, they should go home and play it on online platforms.

https://www.si.com/nba/clippers/news/la-clippers-montrezl-harrell-nba-2k-crowd-noise

Here is a credible source for 2K sounds being used for the games. Of course not many details are given just yet because it is not even decided if they will do that or not, however we can be sure that if they do something like this they will probably let everyone know how it will be before hand.

After all having 20k people cheering all at the same time from 360 degrees around the court versus having sounds from some speakers are very different, they need to make sure that it is not cheesy and it is not from only few places, the sound should make players feel like it is coming from the stands like a real one, if it won't and if it is like someone put up some speakers and blasted cheers, that would be very horrible, not just for the game but it would be very cringey to watch and hear as well.
I used to play 2k in playstation and if they will use the SFX of the crowd from that game, then the vibes will be similar to playing NBA2K.

I hope they will think more things or spices that will make the tournament lively. If they will just rely on the SFX from a game, then there's nothing special on it, it will just break the silence but still not lively.

I wonder how they will set up the SFX when the game is literally on fire, obviously crowds are the one who makes the game more hype if the scores don't have a huge gap to each other and final quarter is ending.  Roll Eyes

Thanks for your opinion, STT and Negotiation.

I agree with you that you need to know where and how to place bets on CSGO so that it is reliable. You need to follow the games and draw conclusions.

Can you tell me where and how to start with this?

The sites I use for information on CSGO players and teams would be Liquidpedia which also does other games and theres HLTV also which lists every match and its full details every day.   HLTV is great for showing prior match history, the player stats.   The forums arent much good but they do alot of articles and interviews.    So far as esports bets on the games, tournaments, pm me and I'll pass your name along to someone who can refer you to a good site who did the same for me and they handle big or small bets and live bets and all sorts which is useful.
You can actually into Reddit posts if you want to add some basis on your bets, it's much easier and realistic if you're basing into some community. https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/
Gamers are very active in Reddit, so definitely people are talking about who will win on those matches.

I'm also looking at that HLTV site, it has the complete statistics where we can see those matches and ratings.

Also, try escharts, similar to HLTV, consist of all of those matches.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 19, 2020, 09:14:22 PM
Fans will also understand that the gathering has been banned to this day. So do not force them and may even suspend sports events again if they do not comply. Let's just say that even before the virus is over, they are already watching live games via streaming ... Let's take care of that first.

Lets us pray that people do follow the norms and social distancing even if allowed as a audience. Because if not miniating the safe distance or so this will not only endanger them to expose of virus but also it could mean that the sports authority or the board for the game could take some serious decisions and ban completely of audience and this could even impact other sports confident this situation could arise their as well.
I hope they follow those important measures and guidelines to avoid the spreading of COVID-19. To be honest, the audience isn't necessary when having a sports tournament right now 'cause it's true that it will just expose them to the virus. Too many people mean the higher percentage rate of getting or acquiring the virus. It'll just make the situation worst and if ever there are continuous cases because of some sports tournament, it'll be just postponed again.

I still use mellow ads. It's still an effective method of getting referrals when you don't have a significant marketing budget.

Thank you for the info. I actually used mellow ads in the past before and even collected quite big faucet amounts there but used it all up, and never got a single referral (not for FBC though another dice site). So Í'm really surprised you got some bites. Maybe it's time to reconsider again.
Nice tip bud, I might use it to gain more referrals. I've already accumulated a lot of free BTC in freebitco.in and it's one of the benefits that I really like.
The freebitco.in site is very popular and many people are interested on gambling platforms, so I didn't regret the site for choosing to spent some of my time earning BTC.
--
Nice referral tho, since the start of my journey here in crypto, freebitco.in was one of the platforms that I used for earning BTC per hour and referrals!
Total referrals as of this moment: 63
1431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For Old and New forum members on: June 19, 2020, 06:01:21 PM
I agree on you but we can't change the fact that most of us knew bitcointalk.org for earnibg money. Even until now, many videos on youtube saying that you can earn money here without investing, same with reddit, multiple contents spreading across the internet that you can earn here. So it's kinda hard to implementing something that will make grow the beginners' willingness to learn and study about cryptocurrency.

It's very naive to bave such thinking  😀
You always have to invest something;  at least your time but for success also knowledge and experience is required.
It's already boring to see so many similar questions in the forum recently, questions like  "how to earn money here " from newbies.
Add this "how to rank up fast".  Roll Eyes

Those are the beginners that's attracted by those contents on YT and Reddit or even any social media platforms, that they can earn here.

New users always want to be spoonfed, they lack the willingness to search for the information they wanted to know. And obviously, they want to rank quickly for a higher bounty rate because if their real intentions were to discuss, research, or other informative topics that might help in their innovations, they won't ask about it.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 19, 2020, 05:46:53 PM
As of this moment, Pacman is still the leading on this poll.

GGV   - 12 (24%)
Pacman   - 38 (76%)
Total Voters: 50

This fight is very interesting.

Manny Pacquiao is one of the kind, he is already 41 years but he can still beat fighters at their prime.
I think this is a good fight, GGV is 38 years old but still an explosive fighter, I think if this fight happen, it's gonna be an explosive fight, both fighters will be going forward to knock each other.

Manny is going to make history again if he win in this fight, he will be the only 9 division champion in boxing,

I'm wonder who is the favorite between the two based on the betting odds.
Both of them is high caliber boxer, but I don't think that Manny will be able to fight this year or next year or even for the next 3 years, since he is in the government now, I think he will focus on this pandemic, and will not go into training not until PH will be good again.
Agree, our government here right now is not in stable right now, there are many problems happening and they can't even address it with good actions. So I hope that before fighting Golvkin, Pacman focuses first on the government, and besides our fellow citizens will hate him for prioritizing the fight than the health crisis. We, the Philippines, are still watching his war, but I think few will only help him if he succeeds this year.

If he will fight GGG for the Philippines, like, the winnings will be donated for the funds on the health crisis, it'll be a good idea but for personal that can be used for his political desires this upcoming 2022? oh c'mon.  Roll Eyes

The Crypto Market is far from being price in, as we know the US economy is barely holding on due to massive money printing and stimulus package to save their fiat currency from falling just like Oil.
I think if a financial crisis takes place, it would be worst and can kill the US Dollar.
That's Why the Chinese government now are trying to take the Number 1 rank country in the world because they
know that the US economy is really in bad shape and in this situation
the chance of winning over is indeed.
I don't think they're going to succeed, the US still has its people and tariffs, China just can't easily dominate the US economy.
China is throwing a lot of effort into this trade war, they have created a global pandemic just to destroy other countries' economies, which is a good step from them. (Just kidding, the 'cause is still not confirmed)

That's why our government sticks to China, they knew that after many years China will overcome more power and the exchange of that is our pride to be a country citizen.
Even as a lot will enter the crypto space some will leave. So don’t fall for the tricks. The downfall of the economy affects both crypto and fiat currencies. Except if cryptocurrency can be accepted during a pandemic else it’s the same
Nope at least those who are living the entering is much more now,we are increasing our users and investors
as the search Over google grows more than 100% and this is a best sign to trust how crypto is going the best on it.

Crypto users are growing day by day, people are becoming interested as there is massive advertising recently that is halving bitcoin so I doubt cryptocurrency will lose its users. If someone leaves the crypto market, definitely there are many will come.
1434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: June 19, 2020, 05:19:36 PM
It's still an advantage! Yes the crowd is gone but the players will still have a advantage knowing that the court or stadium is what players are familiarize with. The advantage will not be same amount as before but still, the outcome of the game will still be depends on the players on how good they are. Home court advantage is just taking a very small percentage on winning outcome of every game.  Smiley
There's a big advantage knowing that a team will play on their side. However, it's real that the performance will still determine whoever will be the match-winner.

That's the belief of most of us when we're younger. The home court is equaled to win already but that's part of my wrong belief.
We all know that psychological effect is also a factor in a competition, emotions are being considered too, it'll motivate and inspire you for the fans that's believing in you. Also, it's a shame if you lose on your own home, so it'll add spice and boost you up to make good gameplays. Everyone competing on sports tournament is a professional athlete, even a little factor like this, it still affects them.

It's not a belief tho, there's a statistic shows that home court will add a percentage on you winning the game. Then if you lose in a game, it means that you didn't make a lot of effort to win or it's just a bad day for you or there's a mismatch.

That is why we need to respect his decision to leave from here. I am sure that if he thinks that someday, he needs to come back to here again, he will come and talk with us, and maybe he will explain what he did so far to us. We don't need to chase him because I don't think we can find him hiding. Let him work with his project while we can use his creation for our benefit.
We have no idea if he's alive or not anymore. Many of us are not expecting him anymore to do some surprise comeback and accepts the fact that he's not going to back.
I guess we just have to embrace that and don't expect anything anymore.
Satoshi Nakamoto maybe is having a peaceful right now so I guess we shouldn't be bothered anymore by his personality. The fact that he created Bitcoin with a pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto, he don't want to reveal his personality. I guess he already knew that when the time comes, BTC rises, the government will definitely be looking for him to take control of BTC right now. Don't expect of a comeback, everyone deserves a peaceful life, and I guess he doesn't want to be involved in politics.

You must spend a lot of time earning knowledge before gaining money. Even though you receive free money, it's not constant but if you've learned a lot of things about cryptocurrency, you'll definitely earn a lot day by day. It's like the education system before you acquire a good job that has a good pay rate, you better study first to get the degree you're aiming. There's no easy way of earning money, sometimes we receive money by less effort but it will not happen every day, it's just a matter of luck.

First of all, I will make sure the site is old and legit.

$50 welcome bonus is good for me. But there are some that gives 100% bonus of up to 1 btc. That is good enough as well, I am deposit 0.002 btc to receive 0.004 btc.
Is this too much? I mean, many gambling platforms stayed on this category for almost many years and people already knew them. For starters, $50 is already huge money and I prefer $25 below for referrals. People will just take advantage of this especially when the bonus money for starters is very high. I guess the better rewards for a starter is to give them benefits for them to stay longer like daily rewards and free spins. Having a $50 bonus is just like a short-term investment, it's not worth it.
1438  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Food Shortage and Economic Decline Caused by Pandemic on: June 19, 2020, 01:44:28 PM
Boy scout motto "Be prepared!" I think it will be the right time to apply on our daily living during this time of covid-19 pandemic. A one good example of this is, if you have enough space on your home backyard, why you don't try to plant a sweet potatoes, cassava and a different kind of vegetables,i think it could help anyone during the food shortage.
I'm a former scout but this quote doesn't necessarily refer to everyone. Preparing needs a lot of things, savings, and a high-paying job for us to be able to save. When the wage of your work is not enough, more is spent on the bills, so how will they save? How about the people who live in the town, some of the lots don't have backyards and I guess if there's one, those foods How about those people who live in the city, some of the lots don't have backyards, and I guess if there's one, it's not enough to get you out of hunger for how many months. Yes, we always expect that crisis will always occur day by day, but this current crisis is different and it almost takes all of our earnings. It's not just about the savings and preparedness, it's about how you grind to have a good job with good pay rates for you to be able to save.

Some of the government officials right now in my country are very incompetent, meaning they aren't capable of the position they are assigned right now. The only thing that the people requested for the government is to have an early travel ban but look at what happened, we already have 28,459 confirmed cases as of this moment. People who have professions are suggesting what's the best for our country, but those requests are being rejected and they're still focusing on what's not essential during the health crisis. I'm not a political analyst but even a person who's studied well and has a good profession will definitely look at what's wrong on the movement of the government officials.

Idk why they're prioritizing the Anti-terror bill at this moment, it's very inappropriate and for me, the Bayanihan act is already a powerful law that can be used during the health crisis. Corruption is still ongoing, officials are going rich while the poor have no foods left due to quarantine. The implementation of quarantine is useless, they lift enhanced community quarantine to good community quarantine even the percentage rate of cases per day isn't slowing. So definitely our country will become poor and the president is still borrowing billions of money to the world bank and they aren't being transparent or breakdown on where did they spent it.

Small business is affected, some can't pay rent without and some people lose their jobs. The government can't sustain the needs of the people, they're paying tax for the development of the country but it is not what happening right no, higher-ups are prioritizing their own desires than the country. That's why it's important to have government officials that have professions and know what will do during a crisis 'cause they have a lot of experience. That's why I called our government as incompetent, many useless acts that brought the country into a downfall.
1440  Economy / Economics / Re: US is so poor that president trump constantly attack China. on: June 19, 2020, 01:06:18 PM
The US isn't that poor, they are a great country and have a good economy. It's normal for both of them to accuse and attack because of the trade war and China alone has a bigger demand than the US. Middle classes of US are decreasing while in China they're constantly growing and vice versa.

Recently, I've read an article that says, the US is the main source of the COVID-19 and I guess it's China's plan to overcome them. Since the US's confirmed case count is going bigger while in China, it already stops at 80k since then (and I doubt it's legit because it's manipulated by the Chinese government). They said that the diseases came from the American soldiers that came from Wuhan in October but it has no proofs. They hurt each other but they have a large and massive economy and tariffs that will not cause their economy to go down and the only countries that benefit from this are Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
