241  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Windows client does not start after update on: March 29, 2024, 04:51:55 PM
Have you tried to check the task manager and maybe Electrum is stuck and running in the background?
If you find it on the task manager just right-click and choose "end task" and then reinstall Electrum again to fix the issue.

If it does not work maybe the antivirus is blocking Electrum I suggest you to try adding the Electrum to Antivirus> settings >exclusion folder/software. Reboot the PC and try to rerun Electrum.
242  Other / Off-topic / Re: Aren't we getting hacked by unknown phone calls? on: March 28, 2024, 11:37:39 PM
I usually don't answer random calls unless they message me first and if I know him/her I'll immediately answer the call.

For safety purposes don't randomly answer a call unless you are using a phone number that is not connected to any wallet account or exchange account or anything with money involved because they can maybe able to trace you or hack your SIM card just for safety never answer them.
243  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s17 BM1397AG asic chip resolder - What to use as stencil? on: March 28, 2024, 10:12:33 PM
Honestly, you don't need to use stencils. Soldering iron, flux, and a bit of soldering lead should be enough to reball an ASIC chip and BGA hot air when you are going to resolder the ASIC chip to the hashboard.
You only need a stencil if you are in rush but for a single 2 or 3 chips for me, I don't need a stencil.

Ok, I found a video you can use on how to reball it without stencil check this link below.

244  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: avalon 1126 pro 68T hashrate drop on: March 28, 2024, 09:30:07 PM
Based on your logs it only detects 2 hashboards which is why the hash rate dropped and I think the reason why the 3rd hashboard is missing is due to overheating look at your chip temps it is more than 85c also notice that Tmax and MTmax it's more than 85c which is overheating. Try to run the miner at normal instead of running the unit at performance mode. If you keep running your unit at performance mode you just killing your hashboard due to over temp unless you can maintain the hashboard at 85c below.

You might need an extra fan to cool your miner a bit and it always happens in summer seasons.
245  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer - Frequency on: March 27, 2024, 09:22:49 PM
Do you mean switch boards with the rig showing only 2 working boards?

As for EEPROM, have you heard anybody doing without special tool - IE reading chip and using hex editor to re-code and re-write?

It might be just a connection issue try to swap those two working boards to a non-working one and then make sure it is connected properly.

If it doesn't work then make sure to check the logs it should tell you the issue as to why one of the hashboard is not detected.
The easiest solution for the mix board is by using other firmware like Braiins or Vnish as mentioned above.
246  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: coin on sha 256 algorithm less hot on: March 27, 2024, 07:58:20 PM
thx for reply

can i mine on other algorithm uses less energy

No, you can't this unit is created only for sha256 algo coins if you want to mine other coins you can mine them but the energy consumption is the same.

Use this link below and type this "sha-256" under the algorithm it should show all coins that you can mine with that algo.

247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon A4+ scrypt miner help on: March 27, 2024, 07:53:22 PM
What pool do you point your miner?
Have you changed the network settings from DHCP to static and changed the IP? it might be an IP conflict I suggest try to reset it to factory default by holding the reset button for 5 seconds then release.

Once it's done follow the guide from the link below

This is not the right place to post this I suggest move this to the altcoin mining section. I'm also going to report it to move it there.
248  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Avalon miner 1126 pro fans at 100% all the time on: March 27, 2024, 06:27:41 PM
Are you sure that the temps are 70c?
Check the API logs instead or share the logs here so we can analyze them for you.

It's not normal if you have 85c above it's not safe anymore but if you are running with 70c at full fan speed it's pretty normal for hot summer days.
If it is weird for you then you can manually reduce the fan speed using the FMS tool and use the command below.

[{"command":"ascset","parameter":"0,fan-spd,90"}]

You can replace the "90" with the speed you want.
249  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer s17e found block when solo ckpool mining but no transaction to wallet on: March 26, 2024, 10:20:39 PM
What block number?

Check carefully the status if it is still in the process of solving the block if the status states that you found a block but not yet solved then you need to wait for it until it solved and receive the 98% reward.

I suggest better ask this to their official thread to get better explanation here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5237323.4300
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade Faster, Trade Smarter with One Trading - Zero Fees, Lightning Speeds! on: March 26, 2024, 08:25:47 PM
I don't get it what is the purpose of one trading? Why would you give fast trading or instant trading? In exchanges like Binance all orders are instant I do not know how one trade will become instant or is one trading is offering instant exchange like an exch exchange?

By checking the website I saw the exchange it only has 10 pairs and most of the pairs are fiat. I don't think people will use this exchange it only has limited pairs and coins supported it doesn't even have unique features, and it is no different from other exchanges like OKX or Binance. I tested the site and I don't see how you called it fast but the chart is loading very slow.
251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Minimum deposit on: March 26, 2024, 07:57:31 PM
That's pretty bad they didn't notify you first about the changes and the bad part is they never warn their customers about the minimum deposit changes.
As the above said that's a legal way for exchanges to steal customer's funds.

Binance is way better because their minimum deposit for BTC is 1 sat why not use a better exchange like a local exchange or Binance if it's not banned in your country?
252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what would I do, if I paid for coin and the seller refused to release it. on: March 26, 2024, 04:15:09 PM
I think you talking about p2p in Binance?
Usually, if you are the buyer on the said Binance under p2p and you deal with someone you paid him already and you didn't receive any response from him you should report it immediately or open an appeal to receive the payment if you indeed need the funds or the coin immediately.

3 hours is too much you need to open an appeal right away if you need the funds right away Binance will release it for you without the seller/buyer's consent. It happened to me before the appeal took too long to solve the only reason of the seller was "he forgot to release it" but it's fine now Binance has improved it and the appeal right now is much faster due to time limit it should resolved immediately.
253  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: what tool/screen do you use to monitor actual power draw? on: March 26, 2024, 03:49:51 PM
I don't think there is software to monitor the power draw of any ASIC units usually we use a watt meter to monitor the power draw or use PDUs there is some PDU software that you can use never tested this. I usually use watt meter to monitor the power draw.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How easy BTC could be susceptible to computer security threats? on: March 25, 2024, 05:34:25 PM
There are lots of possible threats already mentioned above but you can avoid them and protect your wallet from any of these threats.
One possible solution is to protect your PC with Antivirus, Avoid accessing random sites that could lead to phishing attacks, also be careful installing random software into your PC.

The best way to protect the Bitcoin wallet is to install it into an offline device and never connect it to the internet or you can use tails OS because all possible threats are online so if you run your bitcoin wallet into a device that you never connect to the internet you are far safe from these attacks.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Staking Platforms - Best APY on: March 24, 2024, 10:05:48 PM
Honestly staking is not the best option unless you can stake with stable coins like USDT Binance offering staking for stablecoins which are safe compared to other staking coins like ETH or token or defi staking is a bit risky because we don't know if you will make a profit until the end of the lock-up period.

But if you still insist then check this link below I couldn't find other tools the same as this with a great list of staking coins/tokens.

256  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Privately check on: March 24, 2024, 07:26:56 PM
If you have all of the public keys of these you can use this tool below.

- https://www.homebitcoin.com/easybalance/

But if you don't have public keys then I think you can import this all to the Electrum wallet I don't know if it can handle 5000 keys but if most of the keys do not have transaction history maybe it can.
Or import all of them offline in Electrum(It won't use so much system resources compared to online) and then export all public addresses into CSV and paste all public keys into the balance checker above.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETC pools are shutting down one by one ... on: March 24, 2024, 07:03:01 PM
There are lots of options where to mine ETC if the pool you currently using is shutting down you can check ViaBTC pool.
You can also mine in f2pool or if you still looking for other alternatives you can check this link below.

258  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help connecting to Ebang Miner - need definite way on: March 24, 2024, 05:53:20 PM
BitMaxz your solution seemed to work, using https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Web browser as I dont support chrome/opera spyware
I can confirm firefox doesn't let me access the panel when gnome browser does

Although this solution isn't a complete fix as I do still have to restart the machine, but now 1 out of every 5 restarts makes it work, vs 1 out of every 100 or so like before.

thanks!

Ebang firmware or software is not updated they are no longer releasing any firmware so the program behind is outdated if you use the latest browser version sometimes its slow access sometimes not it's also the same on old or outdated routers most of them are inaccessible without using internet explorer or using old version of opera mini it's just base on my experienced and what I remember to someone who has the same issue before. So that's I think the reason why you can't access the IP sometimes or it's very slow.

Instead of accessing it via gnome why not use some tools like awesomeminer I don't know what is your current unit model but try to check on the following link if your unit model is supported

259  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help connecting to Ebang Miner - need definite way on: March 23, 2024, 11:05:31 PM
How about in another browser did you tried to access it through firefox or incognito mode?

I heard before that their dashboard is inaccessible if you are using the latest Chrome or Firefox browser they can only access the dashboard if you use an older version or use an old version of Opera Mini you can try it. Also don't forget to try accessing it through Internet Explorer.

If it doesn't work I suggest try to hard reset the unit by holding the reset button for 5-10 seconds then set up the unit again make sure to change the unit network mode from DHCP to Static with Google or Cloudflare DNS then update here if it works or not.

Just in case for reference and troubleshooting guide check the link below.

260  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Spot Trading on: March 23, 2024, 10:18:40 PM
I think the provided list posted by Dr. Bitcoin_strange is for the international coinbase exchange. Since you said spot trading I think the minimum for coinbase exchange is only 1USDT as a minimum.

If I where you better check the market minimum listed from the following link but almost all are 1USDT minimum
