i like this thign because it promote gpu mining and not stupid asic, but i think the value will not be higher than the bitcoin cash couterpart, and i don't like equihash as main algo, it's very minable by fpga and can be mined by asic in the future if bitcoingold become big enough

you need to allow the program via the firewall not just opening the port "allow a program through windows firewall..." etc and on config file you need to add rpcallowip=192.168.1.*

There is no way to limit a coin to CPU only - if it gets popular enough SOMEONE will write a GPU miner for it.
The best you can do it make it a "hard on memory usage" coin, like Monero, or make it something like BURST where the hashes are PREcomputed then stored on a HD, and are complicated enough it's difficult to impossible to compute them "on the fly" fast enough to matter.
not 100% true, you can make so that even if gpu is possible they will not be better than cpu but on par like with some algo that soem coin use you have hodlcoin, which is one and vericoin another one i think |

I still think Cryptopia is the best bet, even though i'm not sure if i like their behavior as of late. Yeah its 5 BTC to get listed (Not 9 BTC, afaik 5000000 DOT @ 100 sat = 5 BTC) its not cheap but i'm pretty sure the community can handle this fee.

If you can and have the time please share with me the steps I have to take to make a investment into a new ICO project. don't invest in ico they are often scam project copy paste from previous ico with fake face just to make them look more legit lol, invest in good coin with very good roadmap and serious dev that respond quickly to any question, there are notorious dev that are here from long time and make new coin after a while follow those |

i think people refer to the fact that the value is not very stable and it can drop very low making it very risky too hold for long term, there is a bit fo gambling in bitcoin like in any investment, so invest what you can afford to lose and no more, but it's true that bitcoin have more potential yes |
