1561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the cryptospace is threatened by this legislation backed by Sam on: November 13, 2022, 11:24:39 AM

2 days have passed and we're already beyond that.

Latest rumors:
Sam might be on the run.
The police entered his main office in the Bahamas
Sam sent 10 bln USD to Alameda and Alameda has none of that. CEO admitted to losing it all.
Alameda spent money on attack on Binance Futures and LUNA
Nobody knows where Sam got the money to start arbitrage.
Both Sam and His girlfriend Caroline had no idea how to run a company. They were lying to people and the business was made to be a scam from the start.
Caroline's father used to be Gary Gensler's boss at MIT. I guess that is going to raise a lot of questions about the lack of SEC's supervision over Alameda.

SBF is said to be planning to flee to Dubai but has been arrested by the Bahamas authorities, Caroline is in Hong Kong and most likely she will go to Dubai to hide. FTX has business registration in the US and Bahamas, so they have the right to keep him until the investors of these two countries are adequately compensated according to regulations. that's also why when FTX blocks withdrawals, only users in these 2 countries can still withdraw.

SBF silently transferred 10 billion to Alameda without notifying shareholders, and most of this money is investors' money, not the company's capitalization or himself. I believe it was he who caused Luna's downfall and then used his money to buy up other bankrupt companies.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding Whales and How Price Is Affected. I need someone who understands on: November 13, 2022, 11:11:20 AM
Of course manipulation by whales is happening and it is always "possible", but at the same time is it really that much possible for someone to pump and dump bitcoin? Unless they have tens of billions of dollars (Elon) then I am sure that not that many people would care. Look at Warren Buffet, dude is one of the richest in the world and he says he doesn't like bitcoin and the price doesn't change because of that, why would it change because of anything else?

I am guessing that people could do it with low level coins, the stuff that has very low volume and liquidity, but that is about it. They can do that with stocks too, go ahead and buy some pink slips and you could increase the price of it by a big margin.

I still believe whales can manipulate bitcoin, the market is very vulnerable just one big FUD is enough to manipulate the market let alone use money to manipulate. They can't manipulate for too long but enough to make a profit for them, Elon just tweeted that Tesla accepted bitcoin and the market reacted very quickly and when he announced that they don't support bitcoin it immediately dropped.

The stock market still has manipulation but not as much as cryptocurrencies, simply because it is regulated by the authorities, if any manipulation is detected, they should be caught immediately and held accountable, unlike cryptocurrencies, we are free here.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The bear market is your friend on: November 13, 2022, 10:58:42 AM
If I see someone selling their crypto because of being worried about the price dropping more, I don't stop them because I let them learn from their decisions. Of course, not really a big mistake but this helps them to know how to trust their investment.

This is why i rarely give newbies too much advice or stop them every time they buy shitcoins or sell bitcoin in a bear market. In my opinion, no piece of advice is really as helpful as experiencing it for yourself, I know if I don't stop them they will lose money but there is no free lesson as effective as a paid lesson. Sometimes just spending a little money in return gives us experience as well as lessons to help us earn a lot of money in the future, well worth it.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 12, 2022, 09:51:39 PM
Manchester city lost at home after a long time. Despite playing a dominant game, they struggled in front of goal. City had 29 shots during the match but could only score 1 goal. This worked in Brentford's favor and they managed to win with a goal in the last minute.
Chelsea continue to lose. They need to stop getting bad results in the league. Of course newcastle are a strong and in form team but they should have at least not lost.

This was a surprising result. Manchester City lost against Brentford by a 2-1 goal. And something more surprising is that if Manchester City did not have Ederson or if Ederson was in bad form or if he was not having a good day I think Manchester City could have conceded more instead of only two goals. And Gündoğan missed some easy chances in that match. Otherwise, the result of the match could have been different, but without Ederson this was certainly a lot more embarrassing for Manchester City.
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 12, 2022, 09:30:32 PM
Dortmund is not inform at the moment especially their defense line is full of errors which is punishable by the opposition. Borrusia Dortmund aways concede goals and they fail to maintain consistency in winning games due to their backlines which is supposed to be their backups, rather it turned out to be their worst weak point. In the game, Dortmund didn't earned their winning points rather monchengladbach work for it and had several shot on targets. The winning team will move a little bit upward on the Bundesliga table.
I really dont know whats going with Dortmund at the moment and why they have lost there last 2 games.
If they start again like this after the World Cup and winter break i guess i lose faith in them.
Maybe its the lot of games they got in the last weeks , but others also got this and they dont struggling so hard.
I never have expected that Gladbach win against them with this result.

i will tell you why Dortmund is losing. Dortmund is losing because they are not supposed to win. And a big reason for that is the owners of Dortmund do not want Dortmund to win. They just want to build up good players and then sell them for profit. If they actually cared about winning, they would have kept their most talented players that they have produced, but eventually sold for money.

I think Mönchengladbach is a capable uprising team. And I respect that they are trying to do the best that they can. This result is obviously going to give them a lot of confidence. now they are going to face Leverkusen in the next match. And they are likely to be really confident about that match.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 12, 2022, 12:35:13 PM
Lmao, Im what universe you are living right now that didn’t know what's the current market condition? Where do you think those money that will pump the market came from while retail investors is scared while VC is already fucked up big time due to Luna and now FTX messed up situation.

FTX and all project that has an exposure on it will surely go publicly announced an exit following this lose. They are just quiet now but surely they will be known on following weeks since the liquidity that loss on FTX is very huge which we don't know who really benefited on it.

I think the market is hovering around its bottom and it is likely to continue sideways for sometimes until next meeting of FED when interest rate will be announced which I think will remain unchanged because the cpi data report of oct-22 signifies that inflation is rapidly coming down and it should have initiated market recovery process, but FTX turmoil was so huge that it changed the sentiment of the market and triggered huge selling.

I agree with you that without the crash of FTX, the market would have had a significant bull run but not a sign of a true bull market. Lower-than-expected October CPI is a good thing, but let's not forget inflation remains high above 7.7%. That means that the fight against inflation is still very long, it is difficult to expect the Fed to lower interest rates soon because that is showing that their policy of raising interest rates is effective.
1567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Cash which is more secure on: November 12, 2022, 12:20:29 PM
Bitcoin and Cash both are different things. Cryptocurrency and Fiat both are usually using different method. Why you compare them?I Think, both are more secure their own way.So bitcoin and cash their security and facility of their own system. But i Think, which one you believe then this one is more secure for you.

To be fair, fiat has been around for hundreds of years and we have used it for so many generations, even though it has many problems, it is still useful in our lives. I know bitcoin has many advantages over fiat in many ways, I am a bitcoin investor myself but I have never compared them and brought the bad things of fiat to denigrate, smear it because I still use it every day. My life has changed a lot thanks to bitcoin so I am happy and grateful to be able to use both. As long as you know how to use them properly, you will find the two are worth surviving together.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celsius, Terra, FTX Crash All Are Prove That Bitcoin Is The Only Trusted Crypto on: November 12, 2022, 12:07:21 PM
I'm optimistic about bitcoin, but I won't ignore all the altcoin in my portfolio even though people tend to call them shitcoin. Bitcoin is the best, definitely true, and I also believe bitcoin is a store of value but when I want to make a profit then I also have some good options because in the market there are not only bitcoins that we can trade.

The crash that FTX is experiencing right now is proof that every current crypto asset always has the potential to fail and be replaced by others, so the first point in this investment is don't put all your money in crypto, whatever it is.

Yes, I always support bitcoin never doubt it but we are all here for profit and not just for the crash of a few altcoins we are ignoring a lot of other potential altcoins. Once invested there is always risk, can't expect an investment to always win, that has never happened even with traditional assets let alone risky assets like cryptocurrencies. As long as we know how to manage capital, allocate it properly and invest only with the amount of capital that can be lost. The crash of FTX does not mean that BNB or ETH will die as well.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 11, 2022, 06:36:55 PM
Yeah it's easy to get hyped witn Alex Pereira as he KO'd Adesanya in kick boxing with the bigger gloves.  So that speaks a lot for his powerrr.  With these smaller gloves, it won't take a whole lot for him to knock somebody out.  Watch him vs Sean Strickland.  All it took was mostly arm strength without a whole lot of wind up.

Buuut then it's Adesanya.  He'll play his own game and we'd end up saying:  What did everybody expect?  Of course it's gonna be Adesanya via unanimous decision...
Yeah, although Strickland didn't exactly make it hard for him. In fact, it was probably one of the most stupid things I've seen a fighter do, especially since coming into the fight he was talking about head movement, and staying out of range. That was quite funny, as I'm not the biggest fan of Strickland either.

Izzy has the skill set to do it, and like I said before in their previous fights Izzy was winning both up until he wasn't. That's how much power Alex has, but Izzy also dominates him in every aspect, up until he gets knocked out. If he has improved, which I think he has ten fold since then, he should be able to avoid getting knocked out, and have a dominant performance. At least, that's what I think will happen. Take a look at Izzy in those older fights, and look at his recent performances. He's basically always on his toes, and ready to get on out of there if required. It's what has made his performances look easy, but also somewhat boring for the fans.

It is my belief that every single person can be the best version of themselves when they are being themselves and are not overthinking or overdoing anything. I think that’s what Adesanya did in the press conference. The fact that a fighter is actually focusing on his craft rather than thinking about how to get the fans behind him is always a pleasant sight. It is my personal belief that Israel Adesanya is really motivated to win this fight and I am certain that he will give his maximum effort to achieve this goal. It is true that he was a lot more interesting at the start. In spite of this, he has now lost that special interest that people had in him before.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Will buy Binance? 🤔 on: November 11, 2022, 12:10:55 PM
Who will buy Binance 🤔  if they go to dust 😔?
Watch out for Elon, he can afford Binance and probably he will save that biggest crypto exchange and dominate the whole market again.
Binance is pretty solid though, they have back up plans and their SAFU are still intact, Binance going into dust is like having a whole bad faith against cryptocurrency. Binance will grow more as they continue to innovate and with the plan to buy FTX, probably the share of Binance in the market will grow more.

Elon Musk is not that almighty as people see him. He has bought Twitter with the help of other campaigns. He has spent those $44 billions not directly from his pocket. By the way, Binance invested $500 millions in Musk's Twitter purchase for example. In fact, Musk seems to be not much interested in cryptocurrency lately.
It's funny how people always think that Elon is interested in crypto, I never thought he bought twitter because he wanted to take doge to the next level like everyone thinks. He is a billionaire and his fortune is from his existing business, he is managing 5 different companies. Surely buying twitter would be a huge boon to his business and he had his plans in place before making such a big decision.

I dont think someone would really be interested in buying Binance. Because no one would consider selling or, if there is intention to sell it, then there is something shady with it. No one would sell such a profitable asset.

Yes, CZ is one of the monuments, makers in the market and he is also the richest billionaire in the crypto market. There is no reason for him to sell his empire, the market share of Binance is taking the majority of the market. The future is unpredictable, but now the remaining opponents are very difficult to beat binance.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: None active projects on social media on: November 11, 2022, 11:55:35 AM
Good day everyone, I want to keep this question short and simple.

If a project is not active enough on their social media account like Twitter is this a red flag or a reason not to invest in the project.

Social network as a communication and customer care portal of a project, where developers will make announcements and updates about the development progress of the team as well as a place to listen to the feedback of investors. I think it's extremely important and an integral part of any project. Honestly, no matter how good the project idea is, if they don't have any social media updates, especially Twitter, I'll tend to ignore them.
1572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts when all Bitcoins are mined? on: November 11, 2022, 11:41:02 AM

Indeed, collapse of FTX is a big issue which has shaken the whole crypto market and it will continue making headlines in news media until it is acquired by Binance or any other big investor, but I am pretty sure eventually market will digest it. Initially CZ was planning to acquire FTX but according to latest news reports he seems to be backing out now because he thinks that liquidity crunch is so huge which is beyond his control.

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/09/binance-backs-out-of-ftx-rescue-leaving-the-crypto-exchange-on-the-brink-of-collapse.html

This is not the first time the market has seen an exchange crash, we will overcome them all. About FTX and binance, I think this is a battle between two big players in the market, big fish eat small fish. no accident or trying to help as CZ claimed.

The FTX issue has already caused some panic in the market which I believe everybody has ready know ever since CZ tweeted about the silly decision of SBF will technically cause the bankruptcy of FTX and from what I read Tether law enforcement which will be the US has ordered USDT to freeze 46.3 million USDT owned by FTX.
After combining all this and the issue happening with the economy some people believe the CPI data could cause a risk occasion.
Tether has locked SBF assets at the request of law enforcement, I doubt that the government will use this as an excuse to impose crypto regulation faster than we think. The bad things will not stop at investors losing, we will be subject to government regulation.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 10, 2022, 09:50:01 PM
Manchester united needs new players especially the frontlines because it's not constant. Victor Osimhen been on united rader is probably one of the big transfer that will happen in the January transfer. Ronaldo is old and is no longer active as before, rather he misses big goal scoring chances. United needs young players that will also put their names in the history books. More time for Erik ten hag to look for Ronaldo replacement.
Although relatively old, Manchester United can still take advantage of Cristiano Ronaldo's abilities for the next one to two seasons based on a contract agreement. And recently Cristiano has start to be actively selected to play after previously spending more time on the bench. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford fully prepared as alternative strikers
A new striker might be considered next season or towards the end of Cristiano's contract
Manchester United can count on Ronaldo for this season in reaching their target of finishing in the top 4. Ronaldo is still quite physically strong but he seems to have difficulty finding his good form this season where in the 10 matches he has played this season ronaldo able contribute one goal of course this is a big decline in his goal productivity because last season ronaldo was the top scorer in the team manchester united. Now the news that he will leave in the January window will get a big question mark because with a large enough salary it will be difficult for other teams to get Ronaldo signature.

I think as long as Cristiano Ronaldo does not have any problems today in Manchester United, and as long as the Manchester United coach does not have any problems with Cristiano Ronaldo both of them can work well with each other.

But even though I am hearing that situation of Cristiano Ronaldo in Manchester United is improving. I do not feel that Manchester United actually believes in Cristiano Ronaldo. Even though they are trying to show that everything is just fine right now, I think Manchester United is actually trying to look for a substitute player for him. We trust Cristiano Ronaldo to be a good striker for Manchester United now, but in my opinion, Manchester United think otherwise.
1574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts when all Bitcoins are mined? on: November 10, 2022, 03:28:00 AM

Well said. Bitcoin is a very precious asset and no other asst asset can match its growth, it always bounces back stronger than it slides down during the bear run one like the one we are facing nowadays but it will not last forever. This bear run will end once world economy starts showing sign of revival. The first sign will be reduction in inflation, CPI data is scheduled to be announced today which is very important to determine the next direction of market.

Why should we care what will happen in 120 years? will we live until then? Currently, We have mined more than 19 million bitcoins and our mission is to own how many of the 19 million bitcoins are in circulation, that is the most important thing to think about and do right now.

CPI will be announced tonight but we are facing a bigger problem that is the collapse of FTX, if FTX declares bankruptcy will cause another panic in the market. It will be an opportunity or a risk depending on each person's perspective.
1575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coins on an exchange, any exchange, are never safe on: November 10, 2022, 03:07:41 AM

the traders keep theirs on exchanges because they are on the lookout to make money on opportunities like the FTX bankruptcy. you wanna sell fast when the price plummets going to $16k, that's the advantage but they are also risking when the exchange pauses withdrawals.

if you don't care of prices going down and you want to be on the safer side, take your coins out the exchange.

Exactly, people who leave their money on the exchange they are not holding but because they are looking to profit through market volatility but unfortunately things have gone awry, which no one can predict before can. After Binance announced it would buy back FTX, the market reacted positively but then they changed their mind and the market started to fall, everything happened within 24 hours. Everything happened so fast that investors did not have time to react.

Once we have joined the market, the risk is always lurking for us, if we don't lose when investing, if we don't get hacked, our account will be locked by the exchange. Always invest with money you can lose.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we see a huge rise in the price of Dogecoin ? on: November 10, 2022, 02:45:11 AM
Elon Musk is a big supporter of Dogecoin and has promoted it multiple times. Now he also owns Twitter where he has many times pushed different crypto projects and caused big fluctuations in the price of different crypto coins.

So is it possible that he will use the ownership title of Twitter to push the prices of Dogecoin also ? I have observed some increase in prices already but will it continue for long run ? Do you think one should bet on this event and spend good amount of money on dogecoin for reaping the benefits later ? Or we should not rely on a man like Elon Musk who has made contradictory statements about bitcoin is past? Which side are you ?
We don't know but if he really likes Dogecoin to the point of accepting it for his companies, he should have done that long time ago with Tesla and Space X and with any other ventures that he got.
I'm doubting that he'll be accepting directly payments with Dogecoin but it's likely that he'll allow some third party services that will be integrated with Twitter to accept payments in doge or any other crypto.

I don't think it's a good idea, it's good for him to hold the doge and use it to make money, but it's better not to incorporate the doge into outside businesses. I think he has yet to apply doge to his company payments, which is a really wise move.
Cryptocurrency is very volatile and if he applies it to his company sometimes it will be detrimental to the company, it is not an act of showing affection or proving to someone, with that action he got himself into trouble.
if the payment is via crypto doge, the ownership must always change the amount according to the usdt exchange rate. yes you are right with what you said because of the fluctuating nature of the coin. I like concepts like payments through crypto, this really supports the progress of crypto in the future, which I'm worried about, I don't want selfishness to damage this bad crypto environment, which must be anticipated

You see, the market is very volatile and unpredictable. Let's say if he accepts payment in doge and within the last 3 days the doge price has dropped by 43% in value and if those payments are not converted to fiat immediately they will lose a lot of money. As an investor, we probably won't lose anything if we haven't sold any coins yet but for a business where capital is constantly being rotated to make a profit, it is a serious loss. He has a reason not to accept crypto payments to his company.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 09, 2022, 07:55:56 PM
I think the problems between Christiano Ronaldo and Erik Ten Hag have been resolved and they are in good terms to work together and function as a team. I would have listened to speculations of Ronaldo leaving Manchester United in the January window if the sentiments remained but since the issues seem to be resolved I think Ronaldo's departure looks unlikely to happen and he might be willing to stay back and help the team through the season. It was why he came to Manchester United in the first place

So far, no more hot issues after the bench incident. Ronaldo has got playing time back as a starter, his relationship with Ten Hag seems to be going well.

I hope, if he has more playing time, his form will slowly improve. however, related to speculation leaving Old Trafford in the January transfer window. as you said, Ronaldo's departure seems unlikely for the various reasons that go with it. besides that most clubs are reluctant to bring him, in addition to a large salary, unstable performance. So yes, it's better for Ronaldo to stay with Manchester United.

If Cristiano Ronaldo is actually happy to stay in Manchester United and if he does not have any problems with the coach and vice versa I think he really should stay in Manchester United. Otherwise, it will be really hard for him to find a team right now. But what I think is that if he does not perform well probably he will be sitting on the bench again. I think as he understands he does not have to worry about too many things right now, his form will get better. I really hope that he will be able to perform well so that he can basically at least save his career. Otherwise, he is going to face a lot of problems if he does have to move in the end.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 07, 2022, 08:12:51 PM
Asston Villa's historic win over Manchester United didn't feature Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho. Unai Emery confirms he was unable to play against Manchester United due to injury. Having suffered a thigh injury in training, Philippe Coutinho has been ruled out of the Qatar World Cup. Instead of Coutinho's problems, the Brazilian team has a number of better players who can replace him.

Philippe Coutinho is someone who seems to always be injured. Players like him, Dembele, Hazard, and Bale could have been much better players, but they just got lost in time because of injuries.

Anyway, even though Philippe Coutinho is going to miss the World Cup. I think that is going to affect the team because they don’t have many players in the team as midfielders. I can safely say that the midfield of Brazil is probably the weakest link. So, losing Coutinho can be a bad thing for them. And I truly do not think that Brazil has a number of players to replace him. Brazil does have a lot of attacking players, but they don’t have too many attacking midfielders.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 07, 2022, 07:39:37 PM
Chelsea might be likely to lose Nkunku to Real Madrid now. Because there is some new update such as Real Madrid have started to monitor his condition also. It is claimed that this interest might have an affect on Nkunku to change his mind. Chelsea were actually really close to signing a deal with him. They were trying to agree personal terms as early as possible to finish the transfer next summer. But it looks like their job will be quite hard from now on.

Chelsea still need to improve their attacking line I think. I still don't see it good enough despite signing Aubameyang. They need a more reliable striker on the front to increase their effectiveness in scoring goals. One of the reasons why they are losing points is definitely related to this issue.

Right now, the way Chelsea is playing. I don’t think they are going to attract too many big players. They are in the seventh position on the table right now and also not in a good form at all. I think when a team is not playing well, and they are trying to get a big player in the team It is always better for them to make the deal without making too much fuss about it.

All the other clubs are also going to be interested in the player. That might mean Chelsea ends up losing that player to another club. It is already hard to convince a player to come to a club, which is not doing very well. and now they have a competition to think about in my opinion.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 07, 2022, 06:59:27 PM
Week 16 Chelsea will face Newcastle at St. James Park, from the last few meetings all have been dominated by Chelsea wins but now Newcastle are not a team like last season they have started to become a team that deserves to be reckoned with by strong teams, and again Chelsea will have a tough match.
Newcastle has the potentials to beat Chelsea who are not even in a good form, the only player in Chelsea midfied that was brilliant was Jorginho who contributed deeply.. Zakaria should have been used instead of Loftus Cheek last week which made Arsenal control full possession of the middle. Newcastle has the top four at sight it is a must that they get in, they are beating Chelsea, seem like Potter having confusing minds picking his squad no understanding among themselves

I know that Newcastle are currently playing very well. In my opinion, Chelsea are going to be a tough nut to crack. They are going to have to work really hard to beat Chelsea. Because Chelsea are looking to improve their standing in the table. And if they are able to beat Newcastle United, it is sure to give them a big confidence boost. Newcastle United are in good form. The only reason I think Chelsea might actually lose this match is because they are not in good form at all. They have lost a few matches back-to-back.
