PS: Don't take this loan unless you want to buy an overpriced and useless domain.  Roll Eyes
2422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any Exchanges Take 'Moneygram'? on: April 23, 2013, 10:43:21 AM
There's Bitcoiners in Malaysia you know.  Wink

Alternatively, you can use: https://dgtmkt.com/ or even https://www.fybsg.com/ .

2423  Economy / Auctions / Re: 5 BTC for PP [Starts @ $10/ea] on: April 23, 2013, 10:37:08 AM
The issue is most probably with zakoliverz who started that dispute and possibly locking OP out. Lips sealed

I can offer a free escrow for both of you here if you want to resolve this amicably - BTC4Amazon deposits the coin to the escrow address, zakoliverz closing the PayPal dispute, and I release the funds to zakoliverz.

Alternatively, zakoliverz can just release the funds to BTC4Amazon and have him send the coin to you afterwards...  Undecided I don't know why OP agreed on a random PayPal sale though - never trade via PayPal to untrusted members here.
2424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain.info wallet backups are worthless if blockchain.info is offline on: April 23, 2013, 10:30:11 AM
Google 'import blockchain wallet'.
Gave me this: https://multibit.org/help_importingPrivateKeys.html

Apparently multibit can also import blockchain.info's wallet - although I don't recommend storing anything significant long-term at blockchain.info.
2425  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Kansas car dealership also offering used and new cars for bitcoins on: April 23, 2013, 10:27:05 AM
This is in my backyard.  I just sent an email to the sales department... if this is true, I have found my answer to a car.

I will update as I get info.
Great. Please post a review if everything goes well.  Grin

I remember times when there were at least 2 people offering that kind of service... and now noone?
I believe they're still here. Try shadowalexy and a few others - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=91436.0  https://cryptcard.org/shop/
2427  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction for Avalon Batch 2 Order #1545 on: April 23, 2013, 09:36:21 AM
Ok, John is available as escrow for my auction, here the rules:

1. Winner sends BTC to the escrow address.
2. When I get the Avalon, I'll confirms to escrow and winner, and I will take photos/videos of unopened package.
3. I will pack the entire box (Avalon inside original packaging) in a new shipping box, taking care to not break the original packaging.
4. I will send the Avalon to winner.
5. Winner confirms to escrow
6. Escrow releases BTC to me.

NOTE:

A) Winner pay 2% fee for escrow
B) I Will pay the ship cost
C) If Avalon arrives damaged, buyer gets benefit of insurance
D) If Avalon mines, but is damaged afterwards, buyer deals with Avalon directly

Confirmed - please PM me when the auction is done. I will issue a complete contract including all details that will have to be agreed by both of you to prevent any issues afterwards. Happy bidding!
2428  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to do Dwolla Escrow on: April 23, 2013, 09:25:20 AM
I don't understand why anyone would do this, the flow of money would look like this:

Buyer -> Escrow Agent -> Seller

after the seller gets their payment it would be more like this:

Fraud chargeback buyer -> sucker -> seller
That's partly why I rejected OP's request to me too.
I only escrow Bitcoin/Liberty Reserve. (and sometimes: Bitstamp codes <$500)
2429  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction for Avalon Batch 2 Order #1545 on: April 23, 2013, 08:18:09 AM
Yes, it's true. So much people trying to steal and more when it's a lot of money.

If i think about the price of those machines... its so much that you really could hire a person that delivers it personally. Make a contract to film everything and set it up at the buyer so that the buyer cant claim it wasnt delivered. I mean what would that cost compared to the earnings?
And to make the buyer feel better let the escrow keep the money until he gets the vote from buyer. If he claims somethings wrong you have a video to proof.
Sounds safe for me... next step find a buyer...

I just sent a PM to john asking for his escrow service, I'll let you know.

Replied with details in PM.

2432  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just lost 6.4 bitcoins or 663 euros from MT.gox STOLEN on: April 23, 2013, 07:47:27 AM
A simple Google search reveals that this guy is a frequent thief. He apparently does not cover his tracks well, and he's most probably a member here....a simple taint search shows even I am connected to him somehow. He's probably behind the blockchain.info hacks involving whiskers75 and others too.

I can only remember getting in a keyboard fight with MysteryMiner over deleting his dank-suiciding-egging posts (but I don't think we are in hostile terms  Wink ), furry coat and his scammer alts, and countless spammers I banned/deleted posts/sent warnings. I like to think I'm pretty reasonable.  Grin

I thought you were Global Janitor? What happened; is Global Troll-buster a promotion?  Grin

=P I 'promoted' myself. It's a changeable title.  Grin
2436  Economy / Lending / Re: (WTS/T) 225.98 BTC of Bad Debt on: April 23, 2013, 02:00:20 AM
Should this be listed elsewhere?

Nah, it's quite fine here seeing that it's pertaining to loans anyway.
2437  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Pledge reached!! on: April 23, 2013, 01:25:12 AM
had to email reset my pw on mt gox (out of town) and now they say 'you recently reset your password, wait to make this transaction' or something like that

anyone know how long my account will be in this mode?

It should be around 24 hours.

2438  Other / Archival / Re: Small 0.2BTC loan on: April 23, 2013, 12:59:38 AM
Hi. I am trying to remain anonymous, so there's absolutely no way I can prove to any of you I'm not a scammer, so hopefully at least someone out there trusts me. I'm seeking a 0.2BTC loan in order to invest in merged/union mining. I will pay back 0.225 bitcoins in 5 weeks. If anyone out there is willing to lend me this, please send the bitcoins to 1EYhYbBKRSM85EaoUbgQmnCwQerQWL99so, with a transaction message if possible so I know, and post here.

Thanks!

If no collateral or solid past rep is provided, this is a deadbeat loan.

i'm glad you can't delete it as it gives me a great place to mention the same problem with my account
You're at 3 hours and 5 minutes.
