You are missing something here. You're mining bitcoin on your cgminer on a LTC pool.

Thanks for the update friedcat, but please still work on a "elaborate" report instead of us having to trail through previous forum posts to get a partial picture.
The elaborate report can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=49840;sa=showPosts  Tongue

Brag post Grin

  • Found out about Bitcoin about 4 weeks ago.
  • Bought some shortly after the crash.
  • Found out about BFL. Ordered one.
  • Did some *actual research* on Bitcoin. Bought more.
  • Did some *actual research* on BFL. Started to worry a bit.
  • Ordered some Avalon ASICs as a bit of insurance, which I plan to have made up into cards for personal mining.
  • Did more research on mining. Found out about ASICminer shares.
  • Canceled the BFL order. Used proceeds to buy ASICminer shares.
  • Feeling rather pleased with myself.

Busy month! Cool

Personal disclosure: I only hold AM shares currently.  Tongue

1788  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Buy Pieces of Bryan Micon @ WSOP 2013 on: May 03, 2013, 04:25:07 AM
Where do you see the scam accusation John?   I am curious because I cannot find it and you are the troll buster and this seems pretty trolly to me.

First sentence, and links he posted (http://www.pocketfives.com/f7/i-bought-micon-system-went-busto-67905/ etc) seems to imply that he is implying him of scamming.

Truth to be told, if I had my way I would just go around deleting Inaba's posts above (and some of his posts in custom hardware) AND Micon's responses there. They all has an air of trollishness to it. That's why I said in another thread here that Inaba is the greatest contribution to my moderating workload. (excluding the mtgix scam spam)
1789  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Buy Pieces of Bryan Micon @ WSOP 2013 on: May 03, 2013, 02:31:28 AM
Just saw these posts were split from my 2013 WSOP buy-a-piece thread.

odd that a mod moved these few posts to "scam accusations," as the 2013 WSOP hasn't even started, and there is no scam accused, just links to a year-old post of someone trolling me.

I have never scammed anyone on buying pieces of my poker tournaments, and have sold pieces of the WSOP and other tournaments for years.  [not that there was any scam alleged here]

Mods please move this to off-topic

OP is accusing you of scamming - that's why it's moved here.
1790  Other / Meta / Re: Implement a appraisals thread under Marketplace > Goods? on: May 02, 2013, 05:59:58 PM
Not enough threads/posts per day to warrant one, sorry.

This doesn't make sense, maybe because there is no thread like so, there are no post for appraisals. imo, doesn't make sense stating this above quoted.

Edit:

It's like saying, no one will buy this car yet, because it does not exist yet.

+1 I really don't see a fitting place to even ask for appraisal that wouldn't be deemed off-topic.

Exactly, this is what deterred me from getting an appraisal for my 5850's. No appropriate place to ask.
Hmm.. from what I gather, this should be posted in the Services subsection (if you want a professional/paid appraisal) or simply at the Computer Hardware subsection if you're asking around for what people would be willing to pay for it. Theymos prefers to have more existing posts on the issue before starting a new subforum for it - like when we added the Digital Goods subforum.
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Feathercoin just hit BTC-e on: May 02, 2013, 05:37:03 PM
Whatever, it seems my opinion is not wanted around here anymore. I'm always met with some snarky remarks just for sharing my opinion.

I'm done with this sub forum, I'll let you Feathercoiners and Chinacoiners pump your coins at will. Then dump them on the idiots that are willing buy them, because the idiots will run out sooner or later when they realize Feathercoin and Chinacoin are worthless copy cat bloodsuckers to the cryptocoin ecosystem.

Later,

Ch
Oh, don't feel that way.  Sad This is like bitcoiners complaining about litecoiners/terracoiners etc in all due sense.
1792  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades CHECK OP FOR PAYMENT on: May 02, 2013, 05:20:43 PM
Use the DHL page to sign up for shipment notifications and you get quite a bit more info in the resultant emails.

For example, I verified my address is correct (doesn't show that on the webpage) and also that it's 4 x "PCB SAMPLE" Smiley

Appreciated, I'll check it out.

Damn it, shipping address appears to be fubared in the email information. I pm'd friedcat and John.
And replied. (gave me a heart attack there  Cry ) . I checked the sheet I shared with friedcat - it is similar to the last character.

EDIT: I meant that I reproduced the address given correctly - maybe DHL did something wrong there, or just reformatting the shipping details themselves?  Huh
1793  Economy / Services / Re: Offering Free Escrow Service on: May 02, 2013, 03:35:41 PM
I am offering free escrow service. I have been a bitcointalk member for a while. My trade history is very solid. I'd like to help facilitate more transactions-so I'm doing this for free. Of course, tips are accepted, but not mandatory ; ). Don't pay .01 BTC or any amount for that matter, its silly. Usually members charging that are ones you should probably look twice at, anyways.

How reliable is a service i did not pay for?
And are you suggesting that proper escrow doesn't take any effort and should always be free of charge?

Well, here's my take on fully free escrows. Note that I run an escrow myself, but I'm phasing out the free part for bigger deals. You get cold feet when you realize that you've been holding amounts nearing (and sometimes exceeding) your reserve amount of coins - what if the coins get lost? Even cold wallets/fully offline Armory isn't much reassuring when you exceed a couple thousand of BTC held. The fees act as a sort of insurance fee for precisely such situations. Sad

As a rule of thumb, NEVER pay for escrow services. Tipping someone doing it voluntarily is something different. If someone wants to be paid (usually a small amount), don't you think they'd be happy to take your "escrowed" funds as an additional form of "payment"? I say escrow ONLY w/mods or users with an extensive blemish free-trade history. I've posted somewhere else, but I will volunteer my escrow services. Do your due-diligence on me before you take me up on it though Wink

I do require a fee for more substantial trades now (50+BTC) to deal with the extended risk. An escrow that requires no fees for bigger deals is either someone who's really good(as he is effectively looking at negative ROI with the risk) or someone who will run if any problems arises. (getting hacked etc)
1794  Other / Meta / Re: My IP is banned? on: May 02, 2013, 03:06:56 PM
Are you Swiss? Because I see you talking a lot of french and what I see very often in my forum is Swiss users coming in from the same IAP node (basically acting as a proxy), so if one banned that node's IP one would often also ban innocent users as collateral damage.
Yep, that could be the case here.

Are you suggesting flying ASICMINER USB Drives... honeybees Cheesy?

On Topic - It might be cool to pick up a few of these USB drives, but I'm assuming shipping would be more expensive than the actual drive... and assuming they are ready in about a month, might take 4-5 months to pay off (I threw random numbers in a calculator).

@Friedcat - would you consider selling bulk quantities to people and have them resell them from various locations around the world? Probably would be easier/cheaper in terms of shipping and logistics that way.

I like this idea -- having the first USB auction have a minimum purchase order (as in 10 units or something), this will make it easier to manage the auction, perhaps depress the price slightly but make shipping easier/cheaper.

This should be the plan AFAIK.

Any chance they'll be a separate auction or selling to shareholders direct with friedcat, not PT shareholders but friedcat ones? I'm sick of losing out to people who don't even have asicminer shares.

If I was a shareholder I would want ASICMINER to maximize profit by making the products available to all bidders, not just ASICMINER shareholders.
True. As a shareholder I agree to this.

Nah, I don't think so. It would be trivial to buy one share for example, and bid.
