1421  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auction of 50 shares of ASICMiner (12 hour auction!) on: May 22, 2013, 06:54:33 PM
No problem. TheJuice is paying later this afternoon as well, so presuming those both come in today I'm going to batch up those 2 requests for friedcat into a single PM request.

houseofchill's transaction is complete. friedcat confirmed the share transfer and based on my dividend satoshi count, it looks like he will receive his dividend directly from AM. I will pay all the other dividends myself after the share transfers are done.

I'll also PM John K again about getting the escrow setup if we haven't heard from him by tonight.

PS: Escrow contracts sent via PM, thanks.

The escrow address for t13hydra's Avalon Chip group buy is:

1PWvpmWZcE8TRKkuSzRqjJsby9qLtW86Jb

Please state and agree to the conditions (if item is received damaged, item lost with tracking, customs fee etc) beforehand.

If possible, GPG sign your agreement to prevent any discrepancies later on and please ship with tracking to prevent problems during delivery. GPG signing is not a requirement, and any verbal exchange in the form of private messages or posts on bitcointalk.org, or email is effective as a statement of condition.

In addition to that, I confirm the receipt of:

1) T13hydra's National ID
2) Scan of Bank statement proving T13hydra's address

The fine print:
This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which refers to the pseudonyms used on bitcointalk.org.
The escrow holder, John, assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the deal to the fullest extent he is capable of.  On the event that any problems arises, he will release the escrow to whichever party that presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others or theymos.
The verbal acceptance by both parties (or the failure to reject) and the sending of Bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated, and the activation of this Contract.

Please understand that I am assuming the risk of holding the escrowed Bitcoins, and I am using my own time to facilitate this transaction.
I am imposing a fixed and nonrefundable fee of 2% for this transaction, pre-paid or otherwise to 1NB1KFnFqnP3WSDZQrWV3pfmph5fWRyadz .

Thank you.

Hopefully you'll read my PM soon too.
Ah, I think I replied to you hours ago.  Smiley

Finally cleared my backlog of escrow releases for 2 days - about 20 escrows were concluded today alone for a sum of over 2k BTC.  Smiley
I feel lighter now, whew.

Please PM me again if I did not reply your PM, thanks!

Order #10317 made on May 22, 2013. Order status: processing.

From Avalon's own system, processing means that they've confirmed the receipt of the coins, and the order is officially done.  Smiley

Just drop me a PM to confirm your address and stuff, and I'll pop the order in ASAP after I get the key from the safe.

Why do I image opening a 5' tall gun safe fully stocked along with gold, silver and a folder full of printed QR codes?   Cheesy

Tongue That's about it I guess.

I've sent in the order and forwarded the order email to OP.

Awesome! So when is the order being placed?

yes, same question here. hope it was already ordered / order will be placed today.)

This is going to be one of those hurry up and wait situations. Direct from the Avalon website and also on the first page of this thread..."the lead time on the chips is 9 to 10 weeks."

IMHO, that's a conservative estimate. Still, entering the order a few days from now isn’t going to change anything.

The main factor is that this group buy closed fast - before the end of May. Major props all around!

I'm currently sorting out the payments, making sure everything is ok, processing refunds and passing everything to John to do.
Hopefully, i will finish in an hour and notify John to pay for the batch today.

Regards
Awesome - guess this just caught me when I'm back.  Grin Just drop me a PM to confirm your address and stuff, and I'll pop the order in ASAP after I get the key from the safe. The sorting can be done in the meantime as the amount of chips and total payment will not change anyway.
1432  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 21, 2013, 04:57:30 PM
We had shipped the first 200 USBs today immediately after they are out of the factory.

This is us?

Yes.
1433  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 21, 2013, 04:52:40 PM
Use a random number generator for shipping priority. Easiest and arguably most fair (everyones got their different reasons for getting their's first  Tongue)

However...

ok ok. no testing. and i'll ship the bulks out first, then everybody else. given that the bulk orders represent a little more then HALF to total orders, i don't think it'll make more then maybe one days difference what order i ship the rest in.

And if it makes any difference:

come on friedcat, accept payment...

Cheesy

The Cat hasn't even taken our coins yet.  They're still https://blockchain.info/address/186mfv3sPuQrzmpCgBmVzJBRYDg8HGH7Lx

Maybe there's no more room in the facility for more coins with all the mining.  After they ship out our order, the forklift can move our coins in.
Nah, we're the first in the entire world to get 200 of em now. Friedcat is only shipping out 200 as of this post.

ok guys, i've got a tracking number for the first package of 200. the second, containing the rest + some for warranty replace will ship tomorrow.

1434  Economy / Services / Re: John (John K.)'s escrow service (previously known as johnthedong) on: May 21, 2013, 02:44:52 PM
I'd like to use you as escrow right now.. if your available its urgent
I guess I'm too late.

PS: I'm just dropping in awhile and gotta go in a minute - I'll tend to the mountain of PM's tomorrow. (it's 11PM here)
1435  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMiner Share Auction - get your direct shares today! on: May 21, 2013, 02:30:36 PM
I know next time I participate to have the coins all ready and waiting to pay on the spot.  What's the normal lag time in receiving your shares?
It depends on friedcat's part. The first transfer went quickly as he was processing transfers that time, but the rest aren't confirmed so far yet... I'm holding escrows for a few other transfers that didn't went through too.  Undecided

1437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt Coins on: May 21, 2013, 12:32:23 AM
Whats the deal with these alt coins? Where can I spend them?

I see there has been a rush in new alt coins and was wondering what the point is if they can not be spent only traded.
Just quick get rich schemes by people pumping and dumping them.\
Honestly, I see a batch (read - 3-5) of new coins every few days I visit the alt currency subsection. Old ones die quickly.
1438  Economy / Services / Re: John (John K.)'s escrow service (previously known as johnthedong) on: May 21, 2013, 12:28:18 AM
Probably not necessary as JohnK is the go-to guy for escrow but I recently did a fairly large transaction and used JohnK, this man is as trustworthy as it gets when it comes to a stranger online, honestly I should just say as it gets I dont even trust people I know in real life with the amount escrowed

If I had them I would trust this man with my kids he will do you no wrong, I will only exclusively use JohnK as escrow why? simply because he is the best in the business,

thank you john and looking forward to future transactions,

Cry Thanks again for the good words - I'm honored. (and grateful as only a small handful of guys post here to confirm)

Oh, I see. You caught me when I was prepared to run to the local money exchanger.  Tongue

without wishing to unduly cast aspersions on the ability or intention to honor a personal insurance. I have requested some quotations from a number of established insurers for the premium (probably in $'s) to insure 100BTC.

If they are able to quote I will post it. If its not prohibitive then coinlenders/others may wish to include it as a paid option when depositing

If there's an insured way of investing, sure, I'm prepared to throw my cold wallet in.  Wink
