Strict about that, aren't you?

Well, after ckolivas, brought it to our attention, Yes.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201748.msg2106260#msg2106260

Why, though? I understand this is a forum about bitcoin, but mining is mining, regardless of WHAT I'm mining. The process is mostly the same, excepting algorithm. Why be so strict about it?
Well, with this logic I guess if someone posted about mining gold or diamonds at the mining subsection it would be okay to leave it there?  Undecided

1) How is deletion of someone posting their personal hate speech against me not against the rules outlined in the thread?

Please be advised that any post that is not related to a specific transaction (e.g. off-topic posts, trolling, posts related to working relationships, personal opinions, requests for a date, etc) will not be allowed and will promptly be removed by moderators.

Dear Mr. Wright,

Please stop using my name and false, taken out of context, testimonies for promoting yourself.

I must say that I have this little shitlist that I maintain for my personal use and which is based on my personal experiences and opinions. On said ShitList you are prominently featured as a Butterfant, Scammer, Fraudster, and Liar. That is quite a good company you have there along with all the pirate lieutenants and other assorted fraudsters that I will not be doing any business with ever again.

It also must be noted that deceiving or bribing theymos into removing the Scammer tag on this forum does not make one any less scammer. I personally know at least two people who you have not settled your fraudulent pirate ponzy bet with, despite your claims to the contrary.

Faithfully Yours,

There isn't a *single* comment in there related to transactions. It's trolling, off-topic, related to a working relationship and a personal opinion. He literally broke every single rule except asking me out for a date.

I'm fairly sure the Mining section is for mining, and I find it a little irritating that if you are mining an alt, it gets moved to Alternate Cryptocurrencies. Yes, there is some overlap, but if your post is mainly about mining, no matter if you're mining SHA-256d, scrypt, or scrypt-jane even, it should go in the Mining section where people knowledgeable about Mining are. Alternate Cryptocurrencies is not the place for these threads.

TL;DR: No.

Long version: Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Mining

1547  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: >>>>Warning scam to get your password>> on: May 16, 2013, 05:17:36 PM
Some reports I've been seeing (and marked off by other moderators):

Quote
What's pornluver doing linking this here? Even you John (John K) after reading paraipan and I commentd when incident first happend and you still don't consider this as valid! Oh yes, did you know that I am a Christian? Which means that through the incident that God is my sole witness! There I think you have quite feeling what you need to be doing! Otherwise, fill God's and theymos's wrath! When it comes to any moderators who abused their power, I have ZERO tolerence at this point! Don't you dare demand some respect as this only one you get from me! God bless!

Quote
Remove such post! as the link was one of my question in hoping others coming here to shed some on research especially you John continuously show not interest in reducing burden on what you and few have unleashed! Scammer always a scammer now!! You obviously know what been taking as you read Paraipan & I as moderators at rugatu, this makes you without execuse! Again believe when I previously said that God is my sole! God help me if you're responsable in created such phishing link!

Quote
Comment made by shijaji "This is extremely offending, and this alone should keep this user banned! The moderator should "think twice" to ban an account that is trying to steal funds and hack into people's account ? Weird!" This is also extremely offending of my part! That comment is ground enough to suspend him! Not only this, He didn't even include paraipan's entire comment. If he would have done so, he would have realized is was my account at rugatu that got hacked! Suspend "shibaji" and don't you dare think twice John (John K)

Your gibberish and hostility isn't helping your case anyway - I speak more than 5 languages including dialects, and judging from your past twitter posts as Shibaji said, there's still a chance this account is compromised.

Also, as I said before, I've forwarded this issue to theymos for his judgement as only he can lift bans and give tags. His decision was to give you a scammer tag here - probably because you are an alt of a tagged account here, or proof has been found that you were the perpetrator.

I hereby declare that I have done my monetary part in this group buy, and my remaining part is the verification that Arklan finishes his part of the deal.  Smiley Now we await friedcat to do his magic.  Grin

my account got hackedxs
I would advise we wait for theymos to resolve this? I see that many people on bitcointalk have been getting hacked I belive it may be a security flaw. Or someone who worked in web design for Bitcointalk may be abusing the system.

The forum is not responsible for phishing scams/weak passwords/keyloggers etc... And yes, I suspected that he was hacked seeing that he 'vouched' for anyroll for 'paying' out the 10 BTC.  Roll Eyes

You're going to need fans blowing on these puppies...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195004.msg2153513#msg2153513

i'm really hoping he meant without the heatsink on, or got the wrong thread entirely and meant the blades...

but hey, if not, no big deal to grab some fans, eh? ...though come to think of it my usual stores for doing so don't exist in this state... hmm.

I asked Luke, and that was in fact without a heatsink.  The original Emeralds that went out to devs apparently didn't have the heatsinks yet.  Smiley

Emeralds do not have heatsinks AFAIK, but these we're ordering will have them on (Sapphire).  Smiley
1557  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 15, 2013, 11:57:13 AM
I said this earlier, and it's still true.

I'm interested in 2 at face value here, if anyone wants to back out or isn't able to meet their obligations.

M

Arklan/John

Mdude77 says that he is interested in my 7 units.  Could you please confirm with him that if I put my receiving address out here and he puts his sending address, that even if I dispute receiving the funds, that you will still be able to see that he sent them and change where the units are shipped too (for a small fee of course)?

If he is absolutely against such a solution, John would you be able to escrow this service.  He sends funds to address, Arklan switches shipping info, funds released to me. (assuming he will pay escrow fees since he doesnt like my first escrowless option)

i'm good with that, yes.

edit: also, the order has been submitted. refunds direct from john are no longer possible. but feel free to work things out among yourselves and i'll adjust who gets what.

Confirmed, and the order has been paid for.  Smiley
And yes, Arklan should be able to escrow this easily as the paper-miners can be changed ownership easily.  Wink
1558  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 15, 2013, 11:26:06 AM
Funds sent for 429 miners: https://blockchain.info/tx/c36ce498b4b4d9c75824f6a1f386b6d2d1185be6f72a52f4c3c15bebc748936f

The remaining funds (~13 BTC stored here: https://blockchain.info/address/1FFyoorSfwQC15Xv7zNZ4Lv5yZcM6WFKuF) will be released to arklan once Arklan provides the address to do so, to pay for the shipping and etc. Arklan, please provide your name, shipping address and phone number again for DHL to do its magic once friedcat is prepared to ship. Of course, I'll confirm the details with the previous data you sent me.

Thanks guys for the successful order - now we can be sure that we'll be the first few orders in.  Smiley

Whew, I confirm that I've received the address to make the payment for 429 USB sticks from friedcat. Will post TXID once I send the coins, and ask friedcat to confirm here.  Smiley

Order is in some time ago already, was only waiting for the poor address...
1560  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 15, 2013, 12:23:42 AM

You also said you did not mind paying more in fees, since it was a insignificance amount to you.

It was stated in the posting by friedat they would not be taking orders for 15-20 more days.    I always expected to now see my unit till June most likely, or end of May if very lucky.  This is why I thought it important to trim the costs since there was no way to get it faster

...

Where?  I missed it.  If you can find that statement, I stand corrected and retract most of my complaints.

Note that 'taking orders' is not nearly the same thing as 'shipping'.  Obviously shipping cannot happen until the items are done.  But I do expect a pipeline process where orders are shipped simultaneously with pieces being produced.  IOW, it would make little sense to get a batch of 10,000 built and tested, and only then start taking orders and shipping.

.....

Oh guys, relax.  Undecided

Friedcat is trying to get the chips on his hands before he will start the ordering process, and I have PM'ed him early to reserve a top spot for 429 USB's. If he decides to run this via a fixed-price auction (like the recent blade auction), I am confident enough to grab a top spot too seeing that I am running the auction. Friedcat ships within a day after the coins are received from my previous experience with him.

He has given his word here (Its lead-time is conservatively 15-20 days), and I fully expect him to go within his timeframe.
