About 1 hour left!  Grin

What is the deadline for payment? Is it 48 hours like last time?

Not stated, but everyone's expected to pay ASAP - hopefully below the 24 hour point after auction end.  Wink

1604  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: May 12, 2013, 05:45:55 AM
@ragingazn628

How are you going to deal with fractional chips? They sum up to 15 chips. I guess you could round down the number of chips and count the price of fractional chips towards shipping costs. Remaining 15 chips could be sold to someone in the group.

Also the developer chips that are shipping early must be disbursed and no doubt count towards the 780 chip total.
I would think that they would NOT be included.
A 10k chip purchase, and can't get a couple dozen gratis?

This is a critical point for people getting their expected share, it seems relevant to consider it.
I was under the impression that the dev chips were gratis.

John (John K.)! This splat44, you want to see actual proof on email address on both accounts? Here they are: -redacted- and -redacted-, See! email addresses match as well in here No I'm not trying shielding myself! Paraipan already confirm my suspicions in his post! Importanly, I'm one of the moderators at rugatu! Regarding report against shibaji, sorry about this! I'm just frustrate due to incompetences in here and if you John cannot have understandings then why are you here!

Undecided I remember that I said I will ask theymos to look into this. Your hostility is not helping you here. Also, if the accounts were hijacked, there's no sense why your email wouldn't be hijacked either.

1613  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: >>>>Warning scam to get your password>> on: May 12, 2013, 03:01:01 AM
Jokes apart, I would like John to use extreme caution here.

I did a quick search about splat44 (Phil Normand), and the writing style absolutely does not match between his twitter account (https://twitter.com/splat44) and here. Here is his Rugatu account, which mentions same name of Phil Normand (http://www.rugatu.com/users/871/splat44)

The twitter account has perfect American English, where as we can all see what it is here. It is plausible that the hacker himself is still at large faking actual Phil Norman's account.
Yep, that's true. Thanks for pointing that out - this is why we have reservations unbanning the spammers here as we do not know if the actual owner has regained the account or not.

Also, this might be another attempt here to shield himself - he can just claim to be hacked by another non English native speaker.

PS: Be careful outside - that report was for you.  Tongue Apparently  there's 'something else coming your way!'
1614  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 12, 2013, 02:52:46 AM
I think the Erupter Blades are probably fairly priced (they sell well enough) but at 50BTC they're beyond the reach of most people.

I think the slower-than-expected growth in the network hash rate has forced AM to adjust their strategy slightly. They have more stock than they need and they can get very good prices for it; so I expect more auctions (not constant, but at a steady rate) until the competition actually shows up.

They may need to adjust the price slowly downwards over time but at current prices (2500BTC per auction) a few of these will line the coffers nicely to fund any strategy they deem necessary.

i would not mind a 10 btc price for about 3GH/S. IF i buy 5 sticks i get half that hash. I want to upgrade from the gpu farm  but at a price that makes sense.

I second this, I'll buy these all day if they were cheaper, would love to see 6-10gh/s  for 10btc, for less than 3btc bfl has the jalapeno.  Seriously asicminer has a chance here to put BFL out of business
Nah, friedcat is having problems selling to the demand at 49.99 BTC each for the 10~ GH blades now.  Smiley No sense selling them lower for the decreased profit.

I have been getting angry reports from splat44 wanting to 'suspend that member! If he expect perfect english after reading paraipan post, then there something else coming his way!'.   Undecided I must say that this is quite in par with the angry scammer/spammer PM's I receive on a regular basis.
