A good trader will make profit more than a bad investor.
A good investor will make profit more than a bad trader.
Just be good. Anyone will work for you.
2422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fundamental goal of bitcoin on: December 16, 2021, 08:38:45 PM
But really, you can easily read the whitepaper. It's only 8 pages, very concise and not too technical.
I have read this carefully again. Thank you

Quote from: Satoshi Nakamoto
Abstract. A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online
payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a
financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main
benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending.
From Satoshi Nakamoto statement "without going through a financial institution " show that bitcoin fundamental goal is best describe as alternative to traditional financial institutions.
I am wrong?
2423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is the fundamental goal of bitcoin on: December 16, 2021, 12:56:39 PM
I have see in my research in many place that fundamental goal of bitcoin is to replace traditional currencies.

I am asking what is the fundamental goal of bitcoin. Is it
  • to replace traditional currencies
  • to provide alternative to traditional currencies
  • to provide freedom to everyone on how to use money

If number one is truth. There means bitcoin is deserving the fight is getting from government. Because nobody will fold hand for another person to replace him.
But if number two and three is truth. There means Bitcoin not deserve the fight is getting from government.
2424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will taproot upgrade kill coin mixing? on: December 11, 2021, 07:07:07 PM
Before now bitcoin is using ECDSA. Now is that taproot upgrade has bring to us schnorr signatures. This schnorr signatures now allow signature aggregation. So that signature of every signer in the network will be combine to single signature. This will make observer not to know single transaction and multi-sig transaction and who sign and who did not sign.

My question
Since we have seen this upgrade that is better privacy. If developers work hard and continue to improve the taproot upgrade. In the next four years or so do you think that technically is possible that bitcoin privacy problem will solve and coin mixing companys will not be needed again.
2425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I get my address back? on: December 11, 2021, 05:40:17 PM
Please what is XY problem?
o_e_l_e_o meant that, instead of answering question X, we should answer the question Y.

Question X: How to see previous addresses?
Question Y: Why do you want to see the previous addresses again?

Anyway, as already stated, previous addresses are still valid and the problem seems to be solved now.
Ok. Thank you very much for explaining to me.
Question X: is like general problem.
Question Y: is like personal problem.
2426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I get my address back? on: December 11, 2021, 01:50:40 PM
Thank you charlestim , findingnemo , hosseinimr93 and everybody. Is clear to me now on how it work and why I should not worry myself to have my address back.

As others have mentioned above, addresses do not expire, disappear, or anything similar, so if you've handed that address out to someone to receive some coins which you have not yet received before you generated a new address, then you will still receive those coins even if you are no longer seeing the correct address. You also do not need to worry about skipping that address if you never receive those coins, or handing out a subsequent address which you are still waiting for those coins. You can leave all the addresses you've generated empty and just use the next one without any issue.
This why I need it but am relax now. Thank you.

I have learn many things here. Thank you everyone. Everyone is saying the same thing and advising me. I have seen many good advice I will take here.
  • I will not give anybody my work to correct me
  • I will download grammarly application
The people here will not care too much for grammar. If I can write what people will read and understand. Little by little everything will be fine with me. Am happy everyone.
2428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I get my address back? on: December 10, 2021, 11:25:04 AM
Thank you nullama for seeing it. I do not want to hide the address. I just do it like that. I do not need to hide the address for any privacy reason.

Thank you Charlestim for your comment at going to the history of transaction to check for the address I use.

If it's a blockchain wallet then you can find an old used wallet on the settings or if you are using Electrum then you can find all use and unused addresses under the addresses tab it's hidden by default so you can find it under view>show addresses.
Is good to know that I can see unused address before I use them.
2429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can I get my address back? on: December 09, 2021, 11:44:27 PM

I use a custodian wallet for transaction and don't re-use any address.
Yesterday I decide to click the place I circle in the picture and different address was coming out. Then I was still clicking it so that the first address can come again but it did not come.
My question is
If I want to get my first address back. How many time will I click so that I will get back to the first address. Or had any address that past has past. If yes. What of If their is  matter that they want me to generate that particular address back from my wallet. What will I do?

Please don't be tire for my question. I rush bitcoin before and only know small theory but now I see this forum. I want to learn the practical well good because bitcoin as am seeing it will be with us for upto 50 years or 100 years .Now is morning for bitcoin

You may need to consider though why you are doing it to begin with, and how you will deal with answering questions and/or subsequent posts if you are currently struggling with your English
Is true. But I want to do it so that I can write long article like the once  am seeing in this forum.

Another thing is writing in your best English language and users here will gladly correct and even assist you then appearing well equiped in English when you're not
I will take this advice from you. Orders are talking the same thing too.

It is not a bad thing but it also show that you didn't give yourself a time to learn english. I know it sounds offensive in my opinion for saying that but it's what I think about what you do.
I am learning. My learning is working well. I am changing since I join this group.

uchegod: if I understand this correctly, you gave your post to somebody else for correction and they posted it as if it was theirs.
No it has not happen. It was what I am thinking to do. I want to know if is a crime first.
2431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a crime? on: December 09, 2021, 04:02:18 PM
There's nothing wrong with that if you ask someone to correct your article. In fact, there was a project by Jetcash and jackg back in the day where both offered to help newbie to write English perfectly and helped some newbies to correctly present there article. I think talkmerit was the project name but I'm not exactly sure, I have forgot the name.
Thank you very much. I will search it. And I will involve.

Having somebody else correct your English, is not that far off from using some grammar tools to aid your writing, and there should not be anything wrong with that per se. You may need to consider though why you are doing it to begin with, and how you will deal with answering questions and/or subsequent posts if you are currently struggling with your English.
The one I put in yellow color is a problem. My article will be too fine and another article will not be fine.
Is good somebody will teach me and I will be trying all by myself.

Are you referring to a post in this forum? or an article to be posted on a specific website?
Am talking about here in the forum.
2432  Other / Beginners & Help / Is it a crime? on: December 09, 2021, 01:25:04 PM
Is is a crime or a plagiarism if you know that your english is not very good. You write a long arricle and give it to another person to correct the english in the article for you before you will now post it in the group or forum.
2433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be the infrastructure of future human civilization on: December 09, 2021, 12:45:50 PM
You have knowledge about bitcoin and you love bitcoin too much. You can write too much article about bitcoin. And you can predict bitcoin.
I like your articles I am reading many. I want to write like you but your english is too much good.
Quote
In the last two months, I finished over fifty articles about Bitcoin. They may not be absolutely correct for lack of evidence, whiles philosophical questions contain not standard answers, they are for the inspiration of discussion and thinking. Debate makes things explicit. Victory belongs to the people.
When you check only work days of two months you will see that you write one article one day. What of time for resech. You do not work another work apart from bitcoin.
2434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Getting "Error opening block database" when opening Bitcoin Core. Please help! on: December 09, 2021, 09:09:01 AM

What should I do if Bitcoin Core isn't responding? Usually when a program doesn't respond I just force-close... Maybe that was the cause of the problem.
you need to see what to do to stop the bitcoin core not responding error. Not what to do when the error happen. Check the ram nc50lc said about. Also try to run hard drive test to see the speed if is upto.

Do you suggest I use a different bitcoin wallet that is more appropriate for beginners maybe?
more appropriate and not larger size.
2435  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Password requirements on: December 09, 2021, 08:17:36 AM
The archived page of blockchian(dot)info from January 2014 recommended a 10-character password,
When you start to type it, it'll display how strong or weak your current password is; but there's no restriction in using only alpha-numeric characters.

Archived Link: web.archive.org/web/20140122233151/https://blockchain.info/wallet/new

To add to this. I think you want to know the length of the password so that you will get the idea how long the password is. Can you try and remember the email you use that time and search for it. It can help you. I am saying this because I saw a space for email in archive nc50lc post.
2436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: what is data size of a transaction? on: December 02, 2021, 07:05:17 AM
Quote
and the data size of your transaction.statement 3
The size or weight of the transaction depends on the number of inputs in your transaction, the number of outputs in your transaction, the type of addresses you are sending to and from, and the exact script requirements (such as a standard transaction, a multi-sig transaction, etc.) This is what is meant by the data size. The actual amount of bitcoin contained within that data is largely irrelevant.
Thanks for remembering this for me. The article on Blockchain Support nearly confuse me.
This show why sigwit transaction is faster has less fee because the witness is separate from the 1mb block of transaction.

I have question.
If the mempool full or congested and miners start to add the transaction with high transaction fee. What will happens to the transaction with very low transaction fees if the ones with high transaction keep coming into the mempool after each one get confirm.
Will the ones with low fee need to wait until anytime or anyday the mempool will become empty. What of If the mempool stay very long without bin empty.
2437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / what is data size of a transaction? on: November 29, 2021, 02:07:30 PM
I was doing research and I read this from blockchain support.
Quote from: Blockchain Support
While the fee does not depend on the amount you’re sending, statement 1it does depend on network conditions at the timestatement 2and the data size of your transaction.statement 3

I separate the statements into 3 to be clear for my explanation.
If you check below you will see blockchain support how they explain data size of transaction.
Quote
Again due to the fact that a block on the bitcoin blockchain can contain no more than 1 MB of information, transaction size is an important consideration for miners. Smaller transactions are easier to validate; larger transactions take more work, and take up more space in the block. For this reason, miners prefer to include smaller transactions. A larger transaction will require a larger fee to be included in the next block[/green]

What is small transaction and what is larger transaction?
If transaction with small bitcoin is small transaction and the transaction with big bitcoin is large transaction. Then statement 1 is wrong.

2438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Best way for implementing a Bitcoin Wallet for my business on: November 29, 2021, 01:47:18 PM
I use a simple method but I don't know if is 100percent save. Someone should correct me if is not.
I use coinbase payment.
Code:
Coinbase commerce => create checkout => I put all my product information e.g description, price => I upload my product image => they generate code for me => I use it to embed in my website

However, if you work with one client at a time, you really don't need third-party payment services. You could just purchase a hardware wallet, connect it with Electrum, and send each client a new address to pay to. The hardware wallet safely stores the private keys for you, and you use Electrum's addresses tab to copy addresses were you will receive your payments.
This is what I was doing, but I do not use hardware wallet or connect it to Electrum. This method is good and secure if you want only you to control everything about your business payment.

As a crypto investor, I am also interested in generating wealth outside of FIAT currencies.
If you are crypto investor you are generating wealth outside of FIAT currencies already. Which other wealth you want to create.

Also if what people reply you above have help you. You can come back and comment and they will know that their comments help. But if you are finding difficult you can come back and comment and more help can come don't be silence.
2439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sending amounts > in wallet empties wallet on: November 29, 2021, 09:11:36 AM
This has happend twice now. I've sent btc to some one and the amount I send is sent in the right amount to the receiver but the balance of my wallet is emptied out in to another wallet address following the chain.

If you didn't make this transaction, your wallet may be compromised.

You can see this from this wallet to see what I'm stating The balance is not returned to any wallet I hold but someone elses

It sounds like TheArchaeologist is correct here - your wallet has been compromised, your deposits are being stolen by a third party, and you are mistakenly believing that they are being sent to a miner to cover the fees.

Immediately the poster say that the balance is send to another address that is not his own. Also he did not off the change address setting of his wallet. And even his transaction do not have change.
That means he is compromised.
2440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long do I need to wait between forum posts? on: November 29, 2021, 08:39:28 AM
The forum operates this way. It's advisable to make valuable replies on threads, this will help bypass the time intervals. If you just drop one sentence after sending one sentence previously on a thread this error can occur. But, when you make a full meaning of your reply, that is thinking through and editing your reply. Before completing this practice, the time interval between your previous post must have elapsed.
Many times it will be hard to write long sentence. If I write long sentence I will make mistake alot. English language is my 3rd language. That is why I type short ones. But I will be checking my reply before I post them.
