Thank you, I just ended up using imgbb instead of imgur and that worked
I also had this problem when I wanted to upload image with imgur the first time. It was imgbb that solved my problem.
Now that you have seen a way to upload an image. It will be fine if you can lock the thread now.
2303  Other / Archival / Re: Should the link to the source be visible or should it be present? on: February 04, 2022, 10:35:49 PM
If I want to reference somebody, it means I want to give someone credit for his or her works. But if I give such credit and hide it so that the person I am giving the credit and others will not notice that I have given the author the credit. I think the reason for the credit is defeated. Giving someone credit should happen in a simple and straightforward manner.
2304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congress Hearing On Bitcoin’s Energy Use on: February 04, 2022, 09:46:10 PM
"Cleaning Up Cryptocurrency" shows that cryptocurrency has being judged before the judgement. Anyways, let us keep the hope alive.
Yeah, I always get curious and even sometimes furious when all these narratives about bitcoin energy consumption. I sometimes feel all these are just a bid to destroy the reputation of bitcoin and have reason to keep it from soaring high, because we cannot compare the energy consumption of bitcoin and that of industrial energy consumption.
We are not denying the fact that bitcoin consumes energy. But my problem is why bitcoin energy consumption is always treated in isolation. While others are treated together and seen as normal, bitcoin is always singled out and treated as a menace.
It is because they want to drag the the reputation of bitcoin to zero and then they will kill bitcoin. But can they?
They cannot kill bitcoin. I know one day the last bitcoin will be mined and I will wait to hear their excuses again against bitcoin.

Another one is question about LoyceV and 10,000 merits. I can say that the question is not too correct.
From what I've seen, the question is correct. Hopefully it will no longer be correct when summer starts.
The question will be correct only when you fail it, the system will now tell you the correct answer by saying that merit Airdrop is not inclusive.
But in the main question, there is no indication of it.
"Which of these users exceeds 10,000merits" by this, whether it was through Airdrop or not, LoyceV has them.
2306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A little reminder why Bitcoin is necessary on: February 04, 2022, 01:33:55 PM
Bitcoin is in for many comparison and battle. We have Bitcoin vs institutions, bitcion vs banks, bitcion vs government, bitcion vs altcoins, bitcion vs PayPal etc.
We know of account restrictions of PayPal users when T&C I violated. I am saying that bitcion is liberty to the people, so liberty should not always be dragged to the mud.
Bitcion is in his own class.
Bitcoin = liberty
2307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investor Psychology on: February 04, 2022, 01:22:55 PM
There are many factors that cause that. It is not that the investors do it willingly.
One of the factors is that people used to invest in what they think is growing. People that bought at $69k was expecting btc to hit $100k but I failed.
People are also afraid to buy now because they think that bitcoin will go down the more. So that is why they buy as soon as the bull run starts so that they will run along side. But the wise ones are the ones that runs before the bull run.
2308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quiz] History of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk 🚩 on: February 04, 2022, 01:05:57 PM
It was a great quiz I confess. But there are some questions that were designed in such a way that you must fail. Example is the question about Theymos, Sirius  and cobra. If you are not careful you will fail. Another one is question about LoyceV and 10,000 merits. I can say that the question is not too correct. I don't want to go far in order not to expose the answers. The question about Grin aswell. Anyways, I am happy I was able not to guess Hhampuz's father as the first campaign manager Grin Grin

2309  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How hackers target large fund? on: February 04, 2022, 12:38:34 PM
The advice for not keeping too much funds on hot wallet is not that the more the funds the more likely to be stolen, no. It's because hot wallets are not too safe and whether you have 20$ or 20000$, they can be stolen in the same way. And then it's better you don't have 20k there.
I have learnt many things here. Especially the quote at above explained it all to my understanding. The advice not to keep too much fund on the hot Wallets is not that it is only much funds that are attacked. That it is better to always keep small amount. Thank you for this explanation.
This topic makes me remember a telegram channel that gives information on addresses that has huge amount of money in them, BTC, ETH, XRP and many others, they call them whales and I don't know how they are tracked.
I was thinking so, until Lucius gave his explanation above . He reminded us that the information are available for public seeing.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 03, 2022, 01:24:27 PM
Lewandowski is already one of the most rumoured players these days. This must be about the gossips about him to leave even in the transfer window last summer. He still has a contract with Bayern Munich running until the summer of 2023 now. It is still early to talk about a probable transfer for him this summer. But if he doesn't extend his contract until that time, then I will start believing that he would leave the team before the next season. But his next station may not be Real Madrid if they sign Haaland.
Looking at Bayern Munich also I think they still need Lewandowski in their front row. As we see today, Lewandowski is a scary striker for the opposing team against Bayern Munich. The record of 23 goals from 20 matches is a slick record for the Polish national player.
Yes Robert Lewandowski is one of the best players in the world right now.
No doubt Lewandowski is one of the best players now in the world. He is a danger in any team 18 box. Whether he is sleeping or awake, he needs to be marked. Talking about his transfer. I know Bayern will be willing to offer him contract extension at any time and will even review his salary if he wish for that to be done for him. But the real problem will only come if Lewandowski has interest to leave the club.
Please has Lewandowski said anything so far?
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Semi Finals. on: February 03, 2022, 01:13:31 PM
Much respect to Senegal. Reaching finals for two consecutive times means a lot.

This time again Senegal will still not take the trophy. Gradually the prediction that it will be a Senegal and Egypt finals is coming to pass. Today's match between Cameroon and Egypt will produce Egypt as winner. It will be a tough game because of the home support Cameroon will be getting but they will still lose out to face Burkina Faso for the third place. This cup is going to Egypt.
I only watch Egypt one time when they played my country Nigeria and we won them. They did not play well in that match or we can talk that Nigeria played more than them that is why it looked like they did not play well. Since them I don't follow them again. I am supreme they reach semi finals.
Egypt has fine history in the AFCON. I think they won highest number. But this time they will not escape Mane and his boys.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 03, 2022, 01:06:18 PM
Now that Barcelona have finished the deal with Aubameyang successfully, the exciting process has started for Barcelona. They would probably hope him to get accustomed to the team as quick as possible. Aubameyang can be a big goal source for them. Barcelona have had really serious problems about scoring so far. They have scored only 32 goals in 21 matches. This is not even equal to two goals per match. They need to make this statistics better to be able to fight for the upper positions in the standings easier. And I hope they can with the help of Aubameyang.
Aubameyang will be excited to join Barcelona and Barcelona will be happy to recieve him. Aubameyang did not shine very well in England clubs. I will not rare Aubameyang as a super star but he is a good player. When you say Barcelona has played 21 matches and score 32 goals. It is not poor with current Barcelona.
Unless you are talking about Barcelona of Messi, Neymar and Suarez. Those days are gone and it will take Barcelona time to get it back.
2313  Other / Beginners & Help / How hackers target large fund? on: February 03, 2022, 12:43:13 PM
I used to read the advice that if you are using a hot wallet, do not leave too much bitcoin there, that it will attract the attention of hackers.
My question
Is there a specific means that hackers use to know the wallet that has much coins in it and begin to target it.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why you will be left behind if you don’t learn NFT. on: February 02, 2022, 10:36:51 PM
Trends are always changing rapidly, currently the trend is not only NFT but metaverse, web3 and so on, this is what makes us always active to follow trends so we don't lose the moment to be able to get big profits.
I am not an artist but I love art. I have heard the nft for long now. Be it hype of whatever, I will like to learn it very well.
Many people are seeing it like something that will fade off very soon, but I am not seeing it that way.
I am seeing it that as long as blockchain exists and art exists, nft will also exists alongside.
2315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will u feel if the price of one bitcoin exceeds $1million by 2030? on: February 02, 2022, 10:27:56 PM
If the price of btc exceeds $1million by 2030 maybe I will feel regretful and likewise many people. This time I use to blame people that met bitcoin 5 years ago why didn't they hodl. But it is not easy to hodl unless you are wealthy. There must be needs to spend the bitcoin at some points.

About countries adopting bitcoin, many countries may not make bitcoin a legal tender, but many countries will make the use of bitcoin lawful in their countries.
2316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC/ETH trading pair Bot on: February 02, 2022, 10:21:26 PM
Now I would like to try some bots that do this, it's my first time trying trading BOTS so I prefer:

Exactly the question I wanted to ask you, how often have you used bots.
Again, in your strategy above, you have been winning, do you agree that there are some variations. If such variation occurs how will the bot be able to handle it?

I am no an expert here, but I had a horrible experience with bot. I will recommend you pay attention to this you listed:
Quote
- User experiences: want to know more personal experiences, has anyone traded this pair trading?
If you do not have a reliable feedback of this question, I'll advise you forget the idea.
I have used same bot with someone, while I was running on losses he was winning because he has a vast experience on how to manipulate the bot.
I was actually using automated means while he was doing semi-automated (50% bot, 50% manual)

02/02/2022  Sad

High inflation , high energy prices ,food crisis, covid crisis, climate change crisis, cargo shipping crisis, computer chips crisis...

Wars, coups, protests around the world etc etc ....at least no nukes for now.
02/02/2022... without seeing this post, I for miss this beautiful date arrangement.
I was calculating many things that are wrong in my country, especially after the Covid-19 effects. Maybe you missed something "high transportation rate". After I travelled a distance 3 times the amount I used to pay before I understood that all is not well. Seeing this post made me know that it is not happening only in my country. After Covid-19, the world has refused to go back to what it used to be.
2318  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor! on: February 02, 2022, 09:46:15 PM
Op just told one side of the beautiful story and did not consider the other parts in his post. We all know that fiat is good is loosing value over the time but you will not find recently any fiat that is not in use again because it has lost value to zero.
But in cryptocurrency, many coins or tokens die forever and people monies will be wasted. Your post would have been all fine assuming you said buy bitcoin
2319  Economy / Economics / Re: Dominance and Robbery, the money game of btc dominance (keep updating) on: February 02, 2022, 09:38:10 PM
Those self acclaimed experts are most times confused and thrown off balance by the market. Instead of them to say or expose their cluelessness, they will make some untrusted forecast. Because they have so much followers on social media, and are inter connected. The masses will like to follow their prediction, by this they create an artificial demand and supply.
About altcoins not falling when bitcoin suffered because of China ban. It was a fundamental analysis that interrupted the market. In a real market, when the king bleeds the altcoins bleed as well.
2320  Other / Meta / Re: Possible to know who locked thread? Mod/Author? on: February 02, 2022, 09:21:12 PM
Do you think it is important to have statistics like that?
I was reading through to see if OP was understood properly. Sometimes it looked like he was understood but sometime it looks the other way. It was when I saw this question that I was convinced that OP was convinced.
I think having a stat to show if a thread was locked by an author or the mod is important.
To me, if a thread is locked by a moderator at even the first page it will show that the thread is not relevant.
This is different when the OP locks the thread at the first page, we can say that the OP had gotten the answer or the reason he created the post.
