2121  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: March 22, 2022, 02:47:19 PM
I just check this page and I saw some careless talks about our football heroes based on say dem endorse Tinubu. People dey call them shameless and some say dem hungry etc. Make people wey dey involved try get respect for our icons. Okocha and Kanu for instance resemble people wey dey hungry?

Them say when elder no respect himself small children go use am play. Na the same thing weh deh happen with those our ex-footballers. I follow for people weh call them shameless and greedy. I no talk say them deh hungry but I talk say na greed deh worry them. People weh don make money like Kanu and Okocha no supposed to involve themselves in controversy with politicians like Tinubu, Atiku or those oldies them. No be the same Tinubu weh them take because of his Lekki tollgate kill many youths in October 2020. Abi you don forget that one?
I understand wetin you mean, but you dey reason am like say this we country dey straight. See nothing come out. For this Nigeria na individual race everyone dey run, infact you personally e get as your money go long reach you no go send Nigeria again and whoever wants to be president.
I no blame any of dem based on say dem endorse Tinubu, na the smallest thing wey suppose worry us. Na Wiwo wey dey understand me well when I dey talk about Nigeria politics. See if Tinubu finally enter game well and the game mature, you go see Obo and Baddo dem go dey sing song follow Tinubu go campaign. No surprise, nothing new again for Nigeria. The system don fail, and the highest failure na for person wey still put mind for the system.
If we youths wan make difference, make we fight for Vice president, Speaker, Senate and governors, so dat we go fit mature for the surugede dance. No be small dance be that o...and the old men no go fix you there. Even the small youth wey dem give chance, no be to drug and slap people wives dem do? Na the total system wey fail.

Dear Bitcoin forum,
I'm New to Crypto with no much idea about it
What are the logical materials or have you any logical materials that can explain the value of it fully.
I'm starting to grow Curiosity towards it.

I'm ready to read and learn from everyone and everything I see henceforth.
If you are ready to learn, make sure you are learning from the right source. Because when you learn the wrong things, it might be difficult to unlearn and correct yourself.
That is why I like the knowledge from this forum, once an information is wrong, someone will quote it and correct the information.
Since you have opened your mind to learning, I will advice you to learn how to use the search button on the menu, to search for any questions or information that gets to your mind. If it is discussed, you will read all. But if it is not discussed or you are having confusion, you can create a new topic for it.
2123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Saved Banking Stress. on: March 21, 2022, 07:42:41 PM
Apart from the charges you get on weekly basis, you will always be stressed whenever you want to deposit or withdraw money in the bank most times you will spend the whole day without achieving your purpose of going there but upon the arrival of Bitcoin, everything changed, the suffering of people reduced from 100% to 10% because they no longer have to go to the bank,
Banking stress and queueing to make withdrawal does not apply to many countries. Countries with good and working economy do not stress people for anything. Even myself, before I could know bitcoin, I do not stress myself in the bank, I don't even go to the bank. With the bank's internet services you could create an account, fund, withdraw, transfer, pay bills and lots more from the comfort of your home. So, bitcoin didn't solve any problem here.

The risk of attacks and arm robbery when going to the bank has been stopped since the introduction of Bitcoin because Bitcoin has saved us from carrying bucks of cash for transactions.
Countries have started operating a cashless economy before the advent of bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency generally is a liberation to people, in terms of fast payment transaction to another country and i understand that is faster than fiat currency if sending to another country, and that is the reason why people like sending money across another country with bitcoin.
This is one of the good things bitcoin did, by reducing huge charges and delays to send money across the countries.

I want to know if i missed some digits of bitcoin wallet address or when coping the wallet address and you fails to copy complete wallet and send Bitcoin, will it get to exact address you want? And if happens not get to your point of sending, can it bounced back to the wallet of sender?.

I want to learn.
It is your wallet address that shows bitcoin way to your wallet, so you send bitcoin address to people for transactions not bitcoin Wallets.

For the answer, BlackHatCoiner has given an answer. But to add to it, cryptocurrency is a world of precision, you have to be accurate and smart in this field always.
2124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcoin World. on: March 21, 2022, 05:05:17 PM
Keep in mind, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, not an investment project.
Is this point very necessary to be taken note of? Whether bitcoin is seen as a cryptocurrency or seen as an investment project, does any of the options pose threat to bitcoin or bitcoin users. It is true that bitcoin was proposed as a currency, but now bitcoin is different things to different people.
For a machant who accepts bitcoin for business, we can say to him that bitcoin is a currency. But for a die hard hodler who has not sold a fraction of bitcoin since 2010, to him bitcoin is an investment. So I believe we do not make bitcoin more unique or so by portraying it as only a currency.
Whether as a currency or an investment asset. Bitcoin to me is liberty
2125  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: March 21, 2022, 04:42:31 PM
9ja needs a futuristic leader. Leader that can set things right when we go get things right 2023 don come and na time to choose another leader which direction we dey go.

E get when I dey optimistic like you, I bin dey hope say good leaders go emerge, futuristic leaders like you said. But since I put body for politics matter I realise say most of these things na dream wey no go manifest or na for our grand children time e go manifest.
The system was laid on a faulty foundation, hence is faulty.
The system it's is corrupt.
The system has a way to recruit the corrupt to man it.
When a non corrupt eventually emerges, he must turn corrupt.
SEE make I shock you, if Buhari rule finish, all those men wey make Buhari win go still be president finish, and nobody ready carry him slot give youths. So forget am.
Unless na the process we produce bitcoin, go one day help us.
2126  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: March 21, 2022, 01:43:08 PM

I just check this page and I saw some careless talks about our football heroes based on say dem endorse Tinubu. People dey call them shameless and some say dem hungry etc. Make people wey dey involved try get respect for our icons. Okocha and Kanu for instance resemble people wey dey hungry?
Na because na Tinubu dem endorse? If say na Atiku, na una go come here shout Atikulated. I no dey support the politicians but make we try get respect for our image dem wey dey represent us.
No politician is good and I am not expecting any good thing from them, but I personally respect Tinubu because he is a leader. One man define leader as person wey dey empower others. Vice president of 9ja na Tinubu boy, Lai Mohamed na him boy, plenty senior men na him boys  including Fashola to the present governor.
I want make e clear for una eyes say we go need choose between Atiku and Tinubu unless na God interven. Make we no dey act like say we dey sleep
2127  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: March 21, 2022, 01:19:30 PM
This is a good statistics. I think I have come across this kind of local board statistics from a different poster or it can be this one.
I was looking at the first two most active contributors in every local board and it was beautiful and fun.
Many of them are popular and committed in the forum like: Ratimov for Russia, fillippone for Italy. Joker_josue, little mouse, and many others. For my country, I appreciate the effort of Charles-Tim who is always active and not tired and other members there. I will try my best to increase my own quota of contributions in the Nigerian Local Board.
2128  Other / Meta / Re: List of Meta suggestions for Bitcointalk Improvement on: March 21, 2022, 12:55:42 PM
I believe some of these suggestions would be implemented on the new forum; these ideas should be moved to the "New forum software" subboard for further discussion because I don't see why they should be implemented on this old forum while we wait for the new one.
Is there a plan to have a new forum? If yes, why?
What will happen to this forum we are using and its features. Will it be the changing of everything in the forum or will it be an update to the existing features in the forum or is it going to be only domain name change. But I like this forum as I have seen it. Although I have not been in other big forums I don't know how they look like. But I like this forum and the way it is designed to easily find any board you wish.
2129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 20, 2022, 10:00:39 PM
cut
That might happen at any point. Leverkusen has 4 hard games out of 7 against Frankfurt, Hoffenheim, Freiburg and Leipzig itself. Leipzig games aren't that easy too but they improved since the beginning.
Dortmund is expected to win with Haaland playing on the game but the result is still 1-1 against Koln in the half time.
really luck was not on my side, a draw made me lose the bet. I think with playing Haaland (full time) will increase Dortmund's attack power, but not really. It's a shame, even though if Dortmund manages to win then the difference between their points and Bayern will be smaller.
In football, some results are predefined or predetermined to go against a certain club. I don't know if the gods of soccer fixes some of the matches.  No matter how good your team or all your players will be, when it's a team bad day, it must be bad. I really thought that Dortmund will cover the gap with koln but I was surprised how the game ended in draws. After 8mins goal, Dortmund was unable to see koln net for the rest minutes. Well they should manage the second position because Bayern might not make mistakes again till the end of the season.
2130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 20, 2022, 09:45:01 PM
I feel that PSG has lost interest in any kind of football this season. This is caused by their crash out of champions league. They really hoped for it this season. If not that they have lost interest or lost motivation, I don't see why Monaco should humiliate psg in that manner. What psg need is break after the season, sell some players that want to go and retain the ones that want to stay and then change the head coach and bring in new vision to the team. They can be lucky by next season.

I was excited to go watch el classico because since Barcelona returned to good form after their bad performance as Messi left, now that they returned to good form I foresaw a very interesting el classico. But what I am viewing this night is so disappointing that Madrid has no single connection from midfield to attack.
Can we say that it I because of the absence of Benzema? I cannot actually say because Benzema is a striker and the absence of a striker should not make defence concieve so many goals. Honestly Madrid defence is so careless this night.

2133  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: March 18, 2022, 03:25:07 PM

I never see or hear wey this our present senators pass bill of wetin go benefit the masses.
The masses no be their interest ofcourse, dem dey present bill wey go affect them positively, bills wey go recycle dem for office for ever. Dem go pass bill wey concern elections, bills wey go elongate their stay in office, bills wey go increase their immunity and bills wey go encourage third tenor. Bills wey go assign police men give them. But when e reach common man, them go make bills wey go stop everyone from using generator. Make dem kwuntinue, the days of reckoning dey by the corner.
2134  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: March 18, 2022, 12:59:03 AM
I saw that news that the Senate passed the mean that all Banks report to EFCC, Nigerians economy and financial crimes commission, any deposits of money 5 million and above for an individual and 10million above for a group or companies.
All I can say is the country wants to bread a Nation of poverty, I don't understand why the people's thinking are different from those who are in power, omo 5 million is small for any bank to start putting call through to EFCC, the government had tried Crypto ban that one no work now this is their new format.
The other day me and Wiwo bin dey yarn this matter here based on say we know we government. Our government too tricky and selfish. See upon this law, you will get another law that will exempt the governors and senators sons from this nonsense. Later dem go twist am say dem no talk say make EFCC arrest and try to confuse us.
The law is for the poor and if no be for technology and Bitcoin, government for smoke us.
Twitter ban, we still use twitter.
Crypto ban we still use Crypto and bank.
This one we go still win.
2135  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time And Process on: March 17, 2022, 09:35:30 AM
A new account with vast knowledge of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency can have a thousand merits in two/three months.
Even with that, such account won't still be legendary until "Time" happens to it as it will have to wait out its activity counts for that rank. It takes time to make activity counts every fortnight. So, you see that time is vital?
Right said by Mpa, if you have thousands of merits you still need time to click the next rank. Time is of essence and when we know the essence of time, we will appreciate it.

The process is what you need to study. The process of how to be successful in this forum. The process of the kind of knowledge you need to have to be successful. I am happy that this advice is coming from a newbie, so be patient and study the process.
2136  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: March 17, 2022, 09:11:32 AM
Living like a king is relative to environment. Taking my country - Nigeria for instance. The largest city is Nigeria is Lagos. In lagos there is a place called Banana Ireland, in that area $1500 per week will only make you an average Nigerian. But in same Lagos, there is Sango, Egbeda, Idimu where $1500 per week will make you live like a king.

Looking at the general economies of the country, before last year the minimum wage used to be N18,000 per month which is about $30 per month. But it is now increased to N30,000 per month which is about $53 per month.
Saying about $300 per week, is good to live like a king only if it remains steady as you said.

Relocating to Nigeria is not difficult because the country is very hospitable and welcomes strangers as giants of Africa. In Nigeria, for residential purpose the best city to live in is Abuja which is the headquarters of Nigeria. But for business purpose you can choose Lagos.
But in all $1500 is rather the yearly payment of many unprotected labour and employees in the average cities of the country.
2137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Strict Rules and system. on: March 17, 2022, 08:32:02 AM
It will be good for you to understand that using bitcointalk as a case study for a group with strick rules is very wrong.
One day I applauded Theymos or whoever made these rules while reasoning how things work here.
First, the whole rules are called Unofficial.
Secondly, the moderators are given the opportunity to handle the rules on how they understand and feel.
Every rule in the forum is not new because it is seen in order forums or institutions. Rule like spamming and plagiarism is not new. Infact there are no strict rules in here.
Saying to grow, it is easy to grow because people in the forum are majority good people except some scammers here to reap people off their money.
2138  Economy / Reputation / Re: [REVIEW] 3 Bitcointalk unsung heroes. on: March 17, 2022, 08:03:07 AM
There is a list of Most Recognized Profiles that might also be good for you to know, they are also unsung heroes with different capacities and contributions to the forum and also bitcoin in my opinion. Check the list if you want to know who they are.

https://bpip.org/Report?r=mostrecognized
I am happy to have come across this type of list here. It is a list I need to view for more times, thanks!

You are wasting your time for a troll. You are a full member and earned 191 merits so far, account seems promising and you still do not know faketoshi bsv shiller. Most of the users have him in their ignore list. May be you give him a try too.
I can see, just by looking at the trust rating of his account, it might not be needful to take him seriously. I don't know how came about his name, was it because of the bitcoin civil war?

See the list here instead.
It will be good if he creates another forum and add people he wants because all these people are many for one person to blacklist.
2139  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: African Proverbs in Pidgin on: March 17, 2022, 07:45:30 AM
Proverb: person wey dey sell pepper no dey take hand scratch yansh

Meaning: in life one has to be extremely careful, always be careful!
Quintom, if you give your proverb then try and reason the meaning well and the right meaning. African proverbs are not like ordinary statement with denotative meanings. Though some of them might be mere but are deeply connotated.

Person wey dey sell pepper no dey scratch yansh means "He that goes to equity should go with clean hands" and not to be careful and extremely careful.
2140  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: March 17, 2022, 07:35:48 AM
Story never finish oh, this one shock me. For fuel station, dem no get POS but for manager corner Cashback dey available meaning say you gaz first withdrawal wey be another charge entirely and na #100 per #5000. When you finish that one you come buy fuel with cash where another charge dey based on your liter. NNPC dey sale normal sha but you fit spend 3hrs for line and you never move. This country dun finish, shey dem warn us about buhari governments we no gree hear, last time this man rule, the country surfer but people want change, shey God dun give them change na lol.
The story wey you talk about paying for the gallon and using the filling station POS to do business behind the scene, shey na Buhari send them to do like that ni?
This we country dey always look for small opportunity to inflict pains on the lives of the common people. Everyone is ready to make money at the expense of others.
The other time during Ukraine war, some needed to hold Nigerian flag 🇳🇬 in order to be evacuated. That was the right time to show that we are good people, yet Nigerians there amidst war was selling the almost free flag for big money.
In this country, the government dey knack our gbekus and we still dey knack one another join.
