I've seen several of these type of scam back in the days and if you have no idea what they were doing then you might fall for their traps. Scammers will always try something to let their victims/prospect to spend money or send it to someone by luring different type of tricks to their victim.

Best way is always not to entertain them if you don't know who they are and always put it your head that there are no free money in this world. Just think about it as hard as you can since in reality money won't come easy, unless of course if you are doing something illegal. Grin
I haven't got this experience but mine came as a WhatsApp message giving me link to click to redeem the money, I already new that it was a scam. I do not expect anyone to fall for the cheap scam. There no how a total strange person will give you phrase or private keys for you to redeem coin for him. When did you tell the scammer that you are a technical guru who solves wallet related problems for strangers?

What a sad night for Newcastle United

I have been watching the match between Liverpool Fc and Newcastle United. Newcastle first had a goal which their new signing Isak gave them. Later on Firmino got an equaliser. The ball had to continue without more goals. But Liverpools 90+8mins goal destroyed Newcastle. I wasn't so exited about the goal, the fairest result would have been draw.
I applaud Newcastle for playing well without their strong man St.Maximin who has Armstring injury.

I don't understand what you meant by Bitcoin business and networking. Do you mean a board that will be like an exchange where you buy and sell Bitcoin? There is service board where many people offer such services. 
Do you mean where to find help about trading, there is trading board. Are you saying about altcoins help there is also a board. What do you mean by Bitcoin business, there is goods board. I think every board that is relating to Bitcoin is complete in this forum.

I was trying to misunderstand the OP, but I had to refrain from that. In as much as a member of the forum is not shit posting, it will be difficult to determine if the person is posting to impress or to be rewarded. I am of the opinion that what OP meant by posting and not minding anything, is if a member can troll. Maybe I will have to troll theymos, moderators and staff to show that I am posting my mind.

But I have seen some people that will open thread and don't care to engage in the discussion, these are mostly newbies.

This is what i mean when i say bitcoin isn't loosing value but USD may be with time, inflation is the number one evidence to proof it, bitcoin cannot be a fixed value because all theories about volatility will come to an end and turn lies, after the whole blocks had been mined, quite alright miners will depend on incentives from transaction fees to earn profits but bitcoin will be independently controlled the more and everyone will tend to sell at his convenient prize, the network will still remain volatile and the price will continue to rise and fall just as it has always been, i believe volatility is one of the distinct difference bitcoin has over fiat as well.
We know that fiat not only dollar lose value punishing the savers, also bitcoin loses value and punish savers too. The only difference is bitcoin can decide to rise and give savers joy but fiat doesn't do so.
Bitcoin price will tend to stablize in the future when there is mass adoption and again when all the bitcoin has been mined. But before then we will continue with what we have. The volatility of bitcoin is one reason people are avoiding it.

Yes, one can earn livelihood only in trading. Many people I know are doing it and have been doing it. But it depends on the level you are trading. You cannot be trading with a few hundred dollars and want to make livelihood from it. You should have enough capital and understand very well how to trade. I mean be a pro in trading, you can make a living from it. If you understand the risk, remove greed and have good financial management you can do it and be successful. Anybody can earning living from anything, it depends on your level of commitment and determination.

Where I came from, gone are the days they see bitcoin as ponzi or scam, the stage they are now is that if they understand that you are into bitcoin genuinely, they will see you as an enlightened person who may be very rich in secret and they will like to associate with you. Since I notice the development I am happy.
If I travel in this Christmas period I will be able to organise any crypto awareness programme and try to educate some few persons I could educate. That will be with 24th of December, 2022  to 4th of January 2023.

What is also to be considered is that if many people decide to mine bitcoin even if there is no profit above just to buy a bitcoin, mining will be less and less profitable for all the miners in general. This will actually weaken the bitcoin mining community what could be a bad thing.
Such situation won't arise, because only the large scale miners will be able to sustain such situations. With home miners they need to spend on electricity, maintenance and addition of GPU to compensate the mining when the difficulty increases. As said, if people think of making a stable earning unlike the market situation mining is the best choice. It requires a large capital to set up and further depending upon the market will be the profit and it requires dedicated observation. So, it is upon the users financial ability to go for buying/mining.
There might legit ones in the early stage of bitcoin and it is difficult to see now if at all they exist. I have also asked and I received similar answerseas this. But coming from the OP idea of the thread. I have got some sats of bitcoin and I am not proud of it because it is not big. It is not like something that could make one rich in the future. But whenever I remember I owe bitcoin, there's this kind of happiness that ignites in my heart.
I have wanted to join the mining of a thing, not actually for the profit but for the experience but I have been discouraged everytime I wanted to. Reason because it is expensive or it doesn't worth my time, but I am confused because people are doing it and still earning living from it.

Plagiarism errors:
This is copy and paste errors. Some users copied an article from the net and edit it, paraphrase it and post it here to impress and have credit to their work. But ironically, that is unknown to them there is a fact finding software call plagiarism software and the experts in the forum use it to find out the copied work. Some users did this unknowingly while some did it unaware. Unaware in the sense that, they know that there is plagiarism rule in the forum so what they do is to paraphrase the article and post it here but the experts still detect it.


Plagiarism should not be considered as a mistake or error. Except in certain cases where it is proven that the poster or writer honestly forgets to acknowledge the source which is obvious that there is no way he or she was claiming ownership by way of not changing or altering the work copied as we have seen some members that have proved to have forgotten to paste source along with the post and hoping to come back to the post. For someone that has gone through formal education and presented project work or written thesis would have come across plagiarism as what is suppose to be credited. Not just on the forum but taking glory for another's labour isn't all that nice so not to be seen as mistake or error and when the words are largely changed, it may be proven as plagiarism.
Plagiarism cannot be a mistake or an error for someone who is aware of it. Because that moment you are lifting what is not yours, your conscience will let you know.
Plagiarism can only be considered as a error or mistake when newbies who think that here is like other social media they will copy and paste anything and go their ways. You can also notice some members from different local boards that does not understand English. They will manage to put together sentence that is difficult to understand. Do you think that such people know about plagiarism in their own countries? That is why everyone should try and put plagiarism rules of this forum in different boards.

Dele Alli was once a young talented player with a very promising future with the likes of Lingard, he performed brilliantly well for his former club, his movement to Besiktas is a welcome development, I believe he will be a regular player in his new club maybe he might pick up form and return to his very best and promptly return to EPL in no too distant future, it's unfortunate that Everton has to.release him with no contribution to the team in last season and this season, I think he still has a lot to offer in his new club
When I read the news of Dele to Besiktas, I wasn't impressed tbh. I remembered when Dele was a fighter, a warrior under Jose Mourinho. This boils down that different players has different pattern of play under different coaches. Dele was at a time I'm his career distracted by family issue and dating rumours but those are not enough to drag him down. It's good it's a laon, when he performs well, Lampard might see reasons to give him some chance.

Considering the draw results, I also think that Real Madrid have the most comfortable group now. Leipzig might be challenging in the match in Germany maybe but I don't see any other tough match for them.

From my own observations I can say that every club is in an easy group. The arrangement this season is perfect. There is no group of death in the fixtures or draws. My emphasis is on English teams, they should all be able to survive the group stage. All of them will likely survive the group stage . Has the date for the kick off been announced? I can't wait to start watching night matches, it give me joy and relaxation fun after work in the mid week.

In my estimation, one of the biggest mistakes Ronaldo made was in leaving Real Madrid for Juventus. And worst still, Juventus for  Manchester United. At least if he had stayed in Real Madrid, he would have won some titles. Or better still, if he had stay in Juventus, that would have still been ok because they manage to stay in the top 4 of the league and play champions league every year. But can you just imagine that Rockstar Cristiano Ronaldo at 37 is still amazing is begging with the club's to buy to play in the champions league. He seems stuck with Manchester United. I sometimes wonder if he ever have regrets about choosing Man United.
Currently Ronaldo conditions at Manchester United are very unfavorable, he has missed the chance to lift the title at the end of the season and missing the Champions League is the biggest downturn of his career. Ronaldo has realized his mistake to rejoin Manchester United, he has tried to move to another club, but unfortunately no club has been interested in accepting his presence. Ronaldo chances of adding to his collection of titles are getting smaller, apart from his old age, the club he is currently defending is still having trouble competing with other big clubs. Now Ronaldo is going through difficult times in his career, of course this condition will not happen if he stays with Real Madrid.
I am yet to understand the pathetic condition of Ronaldo you guys are describing here. Ronaldo's condition is not as bad as you are painting it. Atleast Ronaldo is arguably the best player in the world. He has almost every title and individual awards in his pocket. Even if he retires today, he is retiring as a GOAT. So what is the career talk all about. Ronaldo is a Manchester United legend, let us say that this is the time he is giving back to the club that made him. I don't actually know why you guys are thinking otherwise for Ronaldo and Manchester United.

I don't mind a "normal" locked topic on the Reputation board (for instance when the case is closed), but this feature has also been abused by people to create a thread on someone, bump it, and don't allow them (or anyone else) to respond.
Locked topics are frequently used on the marketplace boards, where scammers advertise in locked topics to avoid warning posts while they lure victims to their Telegram account.
And for that reason, I wouldn't mind if all locked topics drop off the first page instantly. But similar suggestions have been made already, and it hasn't been implemented.
You got the real point, seems that you are in my thoughts. Really skipped my memory while composing the post. It happens mostly in services board, why this point is so crucial, I rather based my suggestions on aesthetics. Thanks for the input. If nothing is done about it, who knows we could expect it in the new forum software when it's launched.

The current forum layout is obviously not what one can say is beautiful, but I don't want to join the queue of complainants  Grin.  I have read many suggestions for new forum software, I have seen a board created for new forum suggestions and I have seen a thread about Beta forum bla bla. So, I had to repect myself  Grin

The locked threads will sink down with time.
Before creating this topic, I waited for them to sink down, but as they are sinking, more are getting locked.

Who would decide the threads that people may not want to visit anymore, or that are relevant to stay in the first page or not, and who will be able to 'press the button' that will take a topic away from the first page to the second or down below;
When you lock thread or moderators do, who decides it???
Who locks thread? If someone can locate a thread to lock, is it to push down he cannot do?

The padlock icon in locked threads is very small and it is not in our faces at all
I already said in OP that some people might not see it as a problem, perhaps it isn't a problem because it's not stopping anyone from ranking up Grin

When a thread is locked it ends the discussion, but your suggestion will keep threads open and spammers may still spam in it and bring it back to the first page even when the discussion is complete.
Can you point out in OP where I said the thread should be unlocked before pushing it down?

When you go to some boards like reputation board, at the first page you will see many locked threads. They don't appear pleasant to my observation. It messes up the decency or aesthetics of the such boards. Many people might not see it as a problem and it might not be a problem. Then forgive me because there are people who would always want something to be 100% nice even if it doesn't matter to others. There are obviously threads that aren't relevant to be in the first page. I am suggesting that as there is a means to bump a thread, there should also be a button to push a thread down to second page or bottom. Locking a thread and waiting for other active ones to override it might take time to happen, or might not happen because more threads would be locked.

A thread like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5409141.0 should not occupy any space in the first page anymore because it's solved.
However, I am not suggesting that all locked threads should be pushed down, but some obvious ones that might not be revisited anymore should.

I think a first page like this;
