2441  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1246 network status not working. on: September 27, 2022, 02:11:55 PM
Hi guys, I have definitively find the problem but not the solution. Canaan made two types of asics:
- 1246 85th/s for non European market with A3201 chips
- 1246 N 85th/s for European market with A3200 chips

My problems is, I have buy replacement parts for 1246 and not 1246 N parts are the same but not the firmware.

So if anyone had a firmware for an Avalon 1246 with A3200 chips please contact me.

So you still have the issue without trying my suggestion above?

I don't know where you buy the control board but if you want to flash the control board then contact Canaan because their download page does not have firmware you need to contact them before they email you the firmware.

Or try to contact zeusbtc.com or try to contact the repair center near you check the list here https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/ scroll down to the bottom to find them.
2442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it dangerous if a phone used for crypto activity get stolen after formatted on: September 27, 2022, 01:57:31 PM
Yes, possible that they can recover files from the phone even if it is totally formatted. There is a tool called JTAG that mostly use for repairing phones and also use to recover files the process is a bit dangerous if you don't have knowledge of using JTAG it's direct to nand/memory IC and then can dump/recover your files instantly.

If you want to delete or erase them totally before you format your phone you need some apps called data eraser or shreddit to permanently delete files and then those files are irrecoverable. Now, you are safe to reformat your phone without worrying about sensitive files that you don't want to expose.
2443  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: XP Error on: September 25, 2022, 11:02:02 PM
@Bitmaxz, this is not possible with the new gen miners, the heatsink on the chip front is one whole large block attached with solder/thermal and screws, no way it would do anything like that.

If its different from the old s19 units then he can just point the blower or hotair on the front of the heatsink near on that chip just to give a bit heat because some parts is not fully soldered there some parts have cold solder joint. So giving them a heat can melt it and gives more contact from chips to the board.
2444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where are these payments coming from? on: September 25, 2022, 12:10:55 AM
I experience one of my addresses with balance but it doesn't break any privacy because I only receive it in my one address and I include it on my next withdrawal to Binance.

I don't see any effect receiving them if you only receive it only in your one address but if the amount is too small better you manually choose what coin you want to spend because it can affect the transaction size which could lead to a high transaction fee excluding it can save more fees.

I've had this happen to my Metamask wallet. I received a few thousand worthless coins/tokens that showed up when using services such as Yieldwatch and, of course, couldn't be sold despite showing having an X value due to them having zero liquidity. However, even after reading your article, I still don't quite understand how dust attacks are dangerous. Could you please elaborate? From what I've understood, it simply deanonymizes your address by creating multiple links towards it. Does it pose another risk? Addresses are not actually private, but if you don't publicly share them, like we do on our profiles, there's no way for them to be linked back to us. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The issue on Metamask with ETH network or Bep20 network is totally different it looks like a dust attack but it is more likely a phishing attack where newbies fall about these trying to get benefits by transferring or withdrawing them and then sell them to exchanges where it listed but actually, in the end, if you do allow them their other coins or ETH/BNB will be stolen.
2445  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Mining Softwares for S19J Pros on: September 24, 2022, 11:30:22 PM
I am running BraiinsOS on 10 S19 Pros 100Th and find it pretty nice.  Beware that you use smaller SD cards (not larger than 8gb) as they don't play well.  Also, if you get a low quality SD card, you will be pulling them out and replacing them, so in an immersion cooling situation, that is annoyingly messy.

Low-quality SD cards or fake SD cards shouldn't be used to flash units because there are lots of fake volumes when burning or transferring the firmware to the SD CARD parts of the file will become corrupted which is why it ends up failing/does not work or sometimes your control board will lead to fully bricked that you can't able to recover it through SD card flashing.

SD card like Sandisk is the easiest one to find genuine or authentic, unlike Samsung SD cards you need to manually check them using an SD card checker to know if it's authentic or not.
2446  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: XP Error on: September 24, 2022, 11:05:16 PM
Sometimes this kind of issue is due to fallen heatsinks if you can reattach it with thermal glue the hashboard will work again but if you check your hashboard physically without a loose heatsink.
You can try to repair it on your own by using a hot air blower or hair blower you can try to point it to where the suspicious ASIC you think busted/cold solder joints you need to check the logs like yours it only detects 3 ASIC so you need to point it there near ASIC 3 you can check the hashboard repair guide from this link below and look for hashboard diagram to find where is #3 ASIC is located so point your blower to #4 then test it again.

If it doesn't fix your issue then you need to hire a technician that site also has a list of repair centers just click the ASIC miner repair on the top of the page.
2447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Website bitcoin.org - owner on: September 24, 2022, 10:47:39 PM
Why worry about this domain not yet expired it seems there are 7 years more before it expires better check the whois for more info about this website.

I don't know why did you ask it here if you can able to read the https://bitcoin.org/en/about-us
It explain how it distributed from the Founder of Bitcoin to their developers one of them is Cobra who already mentioned above and I'm sure all you need to ask is already from that about us page.
2448  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Newbie to mining on: September 23, 2022, 11:11:03 PM
Before you dive into mining better check your current electricity rate since you are in the Bitcoin mining section almost all ASIC miners are power hungry you can't able to make any profit if you don't have a cheap electricity rate.

And actually, most of the ASIC units are Plug'n'Play you just need to set up the pool and it's ready for mining.

2449  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Where to see the seed on: September 23, 2022, 10:58:00 PM
This wallet I created in 2017. Then Im sure I copied the private keys but I think its saved in a hard drive that is broken.

If your wallet is generated from the same pc would you mind to try to check the Electrum folder and look for wallet folder if there are two files or more inside that folder?

Because if there are two or more wallet file under that folder one of them is your wallet that is not watch-only wallet. You can reopen it with your Electrum wallet and I hope thats the wallet you are looking for.
2450  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or Technical Analyst. Which one are you? on: September 23, 2022, 10:23:06 AM
Technical and fundamental analysis are two different ways to analyze the chart/market.
Most traders use technical analysis to analyze charts and movement of the price in short term not good for the long term basis they only read charts and look for a signal before they decide when is the right time to buy and sell.
Unlike Fundamental analysis, this one is only good in the long-term, and Fundamental does not use MACD or RSI or any indicator that use for technical analysis.

Binance already has an explanation for these two strategies I would suggest you read this "Fundamental analysis (FA) vs. technical analysis (TA).

Or if you are looking for more about these two analyses you can find more from this "Awesome Crypto Trading" it includes free tools, simulators, and guides.
2451  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hosted mining service for Bitcoin Mining on: September 23, 2022, 09:48:53 AM
Hello there!
We don't offer cloud mining services. Our main focus is on selling miners and providing hosted mining solutions. You can check out details of our Farms on our website, and read the reviews posted by our customers on Trustpilot. You could also look us up on Google and learn about our history and collaboration with ViaBTC. Make sure to conduct thorough research before making any decisions. Safe Mining!

Ok then? If it's not a cloud mining service where are your location and physical miner? Having a selfie of these miners with a fan sign make sure you use your current username as your fan sign.
If you can provide that thing I'm sure few people will trust you and about the trust pilot all reviews there can be easily manipulated we do not trust any reviews from them unless one of the users who gives a response/review is one of the trusted members here on the forum. Sorry but checking your website and some reviews can't convince me that you and your website are trusted.
2452  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Received Error When Installed Electrum on: September 22, 2022, 11:59:00 PM
Would you mind to try to install the visual redistribution C++ from 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 and see if the latest version of Electrum will work.
The last version of Electrum that I used before with Windows 7 64bit is 3.3.8 before I can't able to use or install it but after installing 2015, 2017, and 2019 redistribution Electrum work well.

Update: After trying to install Windows 7 and install all Microsoft .net framework and VC redistribution and several windows update the error is still the same it doesn't work the OP error is the same as mine.

What I would like OP to try if he wants to use the latest version of Electrum upgrading to windows 10 would be the best solution you can choose the home version of Windows 10 if you don't want more resources used in your system low-end PC should work with the home 32bit version.
2453  Other / Archival / Re: Current list of exchanges without KYC on: September 22, 2022, 11:36:10 PM
Why Poloniex is included in your list this exchange was a scam since 2017 and it must be removed from your list.

And take note of CoinEx exchange they are good site where you can trade without KYC but if you forgot your password and you are attempting to recover your account CoinEx will ask for KYC verification. I have issue recently with them all my mine coins are automatically transferred to their exchange(From ViaBTC to CoinEx) the problem is I'm planning to withdraw my funds from them but I can't able to login I don't know why but I'm sure my password is correct that is why I ended up using forgot password and it requires to pass KYC verification with your selfie including your fan sign that you are changing your password after giving them it changed and can able to login again.

So if you are using Coinex make sure that you are ready if this will happen to you the same as mine because KYC is required when resetting the password.
2454  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Help with the best Asic mining on: September 22, 2022, 10:42:57 PM
I am looking for the best asic miner I can order online, brand new and with 1500$ max price per one, I want two, I've seen Avalon and Bitmain with 50+ TH to 60+TH but I want to know which are safer for a newbie to avoid buying problematic one.
Bitmain doesn't have units with a price of $1500  or below, the current cheapest available units right now from Bitmain is s19 pro with a price of $1900.
So you don't have any other option than buying units from Canaan as suggested above the available cheapest unit they have is 1126 pro with a price of $882.

What do you mean you want two units? Do you mean that if you want 2 units with a maximum price of $1500 then you have around $3000 budget?
If yes then you can have 3 units with that amount with their cheapest unit(1126pro) from Canaan.
2455  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Lightning payments fail all the time after many attempts on: September 22, 2022, 02:27:15 PM
The most common issue from lightning network payment failure is sometimes no balance so do you have enough funds?
Also, if you open a channel with low-quality peers then you will also get this error based on this "Why did my network payment fail".

Would you mind to try to reopen a channel? It might fix your issue update here if it didn't.
2456  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: It's time to look into BTC miner on: September 22, 2022, 02:02:31 PM
I am from Africa and to get a Asic miner fixed if anything goes wrong will be hard that's why I plan to get the strongest and also I don't plan on doing overclocking, I want the miner to last for a very long time, thank you for the advice I will check the link out.

Be careful from the zionodes posted above they are not well-known here on the forum, there is someone who mentioned it here with the URL link to their subdomain but accessing the website is collecting data like IPs. Another thing is that their website looks like Cloud mining they design it as a marketplace but don't have a physical product.

About looking for most stronger or you mean has fewer issues then units from Canaan would the best choice according to this.
2457  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hosted mining service for Bitcoin Mining on: September 22, 2022, 01:52:12 PM
Looks interesting. Thanks, man.
Be careful it looks like a marketplace for selling miners but through online and it looks like it doesn't have any physical product so I believe it's a cloud mining site.

The website is not well-known here there is someone on the forum who mentions this check the link below and I tried to check the link and it ended Antivirus blocking it due to data leakage.
So be careful before you access their website and maybe they are collecting data from your PC like IP and do some hacking/hijacking attacks.

2458  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Name the biggest problem/reason why aren't there more folks coming on Web3? on: September 21, 2022, 11:56:00 PM
That's good point, people would like to move/sell their digital item even if they no longer can play the game. But if the online game is still centralized (e.g. server to handle interaction between player and host game asset), can't they just blacklist account/wallet address which use digital item from banned player?

They shouldn't have the right to blacklist accounts/wallets of their players unless it was from fraud and violates the terms of service of that centralized game if it happens it was only blacklisted on their platform but the digital item is still on their wallet and can be still transferred to another wallet. No one would buy this item, I'm sure because it's blocklisted/banned on that game however, you still own the item and anytime you can transfer it to another wallet.
2459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GINOXE.COM on: September 21, 2022, 11:24:05 PM
I am new to bitcoin. I have actually deposited over 25,000$ into this account. This is just the first time that I have tried to withdrawl from the account.

If you actually deposited $25k to this website why you didn't research and ask first to many people if this website is legit or not?
This is a big amount and I think it's impossible that you didn't research first and ask someone have knowledge about investing someone that you can trust.
If I were you I do research first and ask someone that I could trust and knows about them before I deposit.

Next time go here on the forum to ask if the website is legit or not before you deposit. I don't where you found this website but based on the backlinks checker(Ahrefs) it only has 2 backlinks with low DA which means it's not popular and not yet shared on blogs and social media accounts except on telegram there are many scammers on telegram be always careful if you receive a message to unknown people out there.
2460  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A general so bitmain can see the problem thread. on: September 21, 2022, 10:55:12 PM
Now you are going to pay an additional $20 if they rejected your transaction due to a price drop recently. That's a pretty bad habit for sellers to reject the transaction when the price drops a bit.
Why not, contact them directly on their support or through email support-cs@bitmain.com

Bitmain only has 30 minutes Payment time limit it must be clear within 30 minutes.
Recently mempool is pretty congested why didn't you increase the fee to speed up the transaction?
