2441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic People Are Selling BTC And Buying inflationary Fiat For Safety But They on: May 14, 2022, 12:12:38 PM
It's funny and sad to see all people panicking.
I think I would say that is normal, bitcoin investment involves a lot of emotion. So if you see that your portfolio is going down, you might think of selling it to stop the bleeding.

it Just Giving you a chance to Buy BTC Before it Goes to The Moon!

If you can see this in the long run you will be a winner. Of course

Just Don't Be haters.
Others might have experience it the hard way, specially if you have seen the bull and bear cycle in 2017-2021.For sure you know that it will take mental discipline to buy and hold for a long time before you sell it to make a good profit.
2442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 14, 2022, 07:27:40 AM
^^ True, main difference with Djokovic an others are his mental strength (Nadal and Roger has this one as well). So it's really hard to defeat a Djokovic who is focus to winning the game whatever it takes.

For FAA, great improvement from his game, but there is still some flaw and mistakes that he needs to be corrected. Of course this mental game comes with experience, so hopefully he will gain so much from playing against the best version of Djokovic.
2443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 14, 2022, 07:04:59 AM
The series is now finally over.

It was a very close game from 1st to 3rd quarter, but the Warriors knows how to win and they know how important the game is.
Klay Thompson came out huge tonight, he made 30 points and most of that points came from his efficient 3 point shooting, he was 8-14 (in 3 point area).

Klay is tough, the old Klay knows how to handle the business done and he showed it to us once again.
Game six "Klay" as what the commentators calls him, because historically he goes clutch on games 6 and produces 30 point game performance.

So it's over now, although the Memphis fought very hard and at times they make the game close, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson step up to sell the win for them. Now they will have to wait for either Suns or Dallas to meet in the finals.

And at the start of the year people are saying that Warriors will go the West finals if they are healthy because of the current lineup, a death squad, Curry, Thompson, Poole, Wiggins and Green. And that's what is happening now.
2444  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 13, 2022, 09:11:45 PM
Yeah many people got liquidated. Especially those who were holding Luna. You go to their Reddit you can see sad talks of losing everything and Suicide messages. And even those who held the stable coin UST.

The peg is getting closer to closing however many probably panicked and sold earlier at 50% loss because they were worried. This month will be a very volatile month for crypto and stocks .

Nobody knows when it will bottom out and make a new ATH.
It is very depressing that we keep seeing the same story happening over and over again, I hope no one takes the drastic decision to end their lives as even if their monetary losses were big at the end of the day is only money, if we work hard, save and invest in a good asset then people could always recover the money they have lost and earn even more than that, but if they end their lives then there is no way to recover from that, it is because of this that scammers really bother me, they may think they are only stealing money, but they steal the dreams, aspirations and sometimes even the lives of those from which they stole their money.
It just sad though to hear those horror stories about investors getting depressed and contemplating about suicide. I still remember the story of one boy who trade on Robinhood and then committed suicide later on when there is a glitch in the system resulting of money being lost on his end. So I do hope that we won't hear the same stories because of what happened to LUNA and it's stable coins holder. So all should learn from ours and others mistakes and move forward in our life.
2445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson learnt from the crypto asset failure on: May 13, 2022, 08:07:31 PM
Unfortunately we have seen one of the biggest scam/failure of the project LUNA /UST where people have lost million/billions of dollars invested in them. We can't foresee such incidents but one thing is that if we follow the best practices of portfolio management, we could have minimize the loss.

No crypto assets in our portfolio should be that big, that in case of a mishap, our whole portfolio get a big hit. Also this means not to put all eggs in one basket in our crypto portfolio.
For altcoins yeah? it's not good to have your portfolio to the majority. But I would say that there is nothing wrong with going full BTC, it has been proven already as compare to those altcoins that has been what like 2 years in the market and investors think they are safe? So in the case of Luna, from billions worth to mere millions and then the biggest exchange halting it because it went down almost close to 0, what a failure.
2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers - 2nd round (Let's discuss) on: May 13, 2022, 07:07:04 PM
After Embiid returned to the team, he led an explosion in his first game against the Heat, and from that moment on I thought the Heat was not able to handle it and the problems with the team in the regular season could be repeated. However, the Heat resisted and managed to win the series 4-2, which I didn't expect at all. I wonder if the 76ers would have wanted the Harden trade again if they went back in time.
The Heat had a hard time, losing back to back games when Joel went back. However, they adjusted already, made him work a bit in the next 2 games but still they lost to the Heat. You have to appreciate coach Spo strategy, not pushing Bam to his limit in the series and taking him out while Embiid is still on the floor and instead have Dedmon deal with Joel's physically. We don't know if they are going to trade Harden or not, he seems to contribute in this series is that they faces the top seed in the East.
2447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you thing about Terra team? on: May 13, 2022, 06:33:21 PM
In my opinion, the Terra Team is to blame for the entire bloodbath. They should have taken a more pragmatic and responsible approach. Things have only gotten worse for the holders.
Of course, there is no one to blame but the team itself. I would say that they become too arrogant and confidence that they think this kind of things are not going to happen to them. But look now, they brought the market down with their stupid move and now they are the one who officially brought the bear market. Anyhow, the damage has been done, rug pull or not, we should be very careful of our investments.
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 13, 2022, 01:21:46 PM
Jannik Sinner vs Tsitsipas game ongoing, Tsitsipas went to 3-0 but Sinner comes back strong and tie the score to 4-4, (now 5-5).

This will turn out to be another exciting game, up and coming Sinner against a clay court specialist in Tsitsipas and in the top 5 world ranking. I'm expecting that this might goes to a 3rd set win by Sinner.
Tsitsipas won the 1st set in a tiebreak, (7-5), and I thought that he is going to steal that set. Now he is down again, 3-1 but he is going to serve, so let's hope that this match will be extended because we will to see this kind of play.

Nadal's conqueror, Shapovalov, will be playing against Casper Ruud next. Let's see if his win against Nadal is no fluke or at least show good tennis against Ruud, and maybe he can duplicate his upset win.
2449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 13, 2022, 12:26:23 PM
To be honest, I expect we'll only see game 7 in the Celtics vs. Bucks series, while other teams will most likely finish the second round in 6 games.

Since I'm rooting for the Sixers and Mavericks to win their respective game tonight, I will contradict your statement by saying, there will be a Game 7 in both series. Smiley But honestly, I'm sure these teams that are currently downed at a 2-3 deficit will not just give up.

Game 6 is their decisive game and surely all the pressure to win is here.

I really hope both of these teams will even the series and force a Game 7.

I really like your enthusiasm about rooting for behind team. Mavericks beat Suns with huge game and force game 7 on Suns home while on the other hand which everybody not expecting, Philadelphia already losethe series against Heat with a close fight. Joel Embiid do his best effort to carry his team mate but it seems that his team mates didn't manage to help him to close the gap until the end.
Yes, the Heat finished it out and now moving to the Eastern finals. I also thought that the Philadelphia will play very good at their home court and specially how Joel has been playing. But Joel fell short and so is James Harden, another season ending for him without getting close to a NBA ring. They started the year with a big drama on Ben Simmons case but move forward, they just being unlucky I guess.
2450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 12, 2022, 11:37:02 PM
This is what we wait for, I guess. That time has come and I hope I expect a surge in buying demand than panic selling.
The market looks very interesting this time, we never know how long it reaches the bottom. I was thinking of $20k. But I don't think we have to wait for the moment before we buy? No, it is not necessary, it is rather to take this opportunity rather than lose it.

I am also hoping that the 26k+ wick a couple of hours ago would be the new low and that a good recovery would happen. But yes, just like you I also see bitcoin going as low as 21k-20k+ levels. If the selling pressure continues and the bulls still don't take action, we may really see these prices again. But, as unpredictable crypto is, I also am expecting a move upwards half way through the month. So being in this unpredictable market, continuous accumulation and DCA is the most hassle free and effective way to gain profits in the long run.

So far the selling pressure has stop, but I doubt that we have seen the floor price. There could be another triggering factors that will push the price even further in the next coming month. I would like to see the price to somewhat in the $20k level, our previous all time high in 2017. For me that is the big opportunity to somewhat fill our bags, if it goes down hard again, good, if not still a win-win situation for us.
I think we can say that the selling pressure has stop if we goes back above $30k. But so far we are having a hard time as it just fluctuates around the $28k border.

What a week for bitcoin though, just last month we have a good run, and not some factors affected it's decline. Nevertheless, if we as speculators have accepted that we are already in a bear market then definitely we won't panic at all and instead buy at this dip.
2451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful! on: May 12, 2022, 11:16:49 PM
You are absolutely right.. Although bear market can be an opportunity to invest in Great project.. If you have been following some great project before bear market and you noticed that the price is very cheap in bear market. I can say those ones can be safe to buy. Moreover, a good project don't really persuade people to invest like satoshi don't force people to invest in Bitcoin.
Of course, investors talks about making big money in bull market. But they never share their secret in a bearish cycle. It's because that is the perfect opportunity to fill your bags will a lot of cheap and solid altcoins and then hold till the next bull run. I have to learn this hard facts, specially ETH, when they where price <$100 2018 and then suddenly goes for all time high in 2021. So I will not repeat those same mistakes, so I'm going to invest while they are cheap and just HODL them.
2452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 12, 2022, 10:42:18 PM
Honestly, I don't see that big loss as a big thing though.

Warriors also beat Grizzlies in game 3 with a very huge margin, but game 4 was a very close one, Grizzlies started short, they are just short a bit in the 4th quarter as the Warriors come back to win the game.
Game 5 was a great game for Grizzlies, they prove that they can still play the game and win. The next game will be a crucial for both team but I think Warriors is still ahead to Grizzlies and have a higher chance here to advance in the finals. Placing my bet again for Warriors, Hoping to see them back in the finals.

If Warriors wins the series, they'll be in the WCF, not finals yet. However, they need to fnish the series in game 6, otherwise, things will be different when Memphis takes the serieson their home court, the crowd will go crazy and Memphis can play physical basketball and beat the Warriors inside.
I don't know about you guys but has it occurred to you that Warriors intended to drop game 5 so they could finish the series in their homecourt? It's really uncharacteristic of them to fall behind that many points in three quarters. I hope I'm wrong but they have done the same thing before against the Cavs if I remember correctly.
I think when they see that the game is slipping away specially in the 2nd-3rd quarter, they should have thought that 'what the heck', we can lose this game and then let them come to Chase center.

So most probably, but if they have the chance, and if this game is close, I think the Warriors though will go and close it out even at Memphis home court.
2453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 12, 2022, 10:19:15 PM
We can expect probobly Alcaraz and Djokovic at the French Open final . They are currently the best in the world and i think no one can stop them. Djokovic is finally picking up form and looks really good on the field and is winning now really easy against some solid opponents
Brave statement, to exclude Nadal from RG final Smiley Don't get me wrong I agree with your choices and based on current form Nadal is not title contender but it is RG and I just know he will show up there as totally different player. Those BO5 matches at RG just give him so much time to turn the match his way and I sort of expect him to prove once again who is the king of clay. Granted, this year he has a new contender and Alcaraz will have some say in the matter as well.
I somewhat agree, I mean we all know that Nadal is the king of clay and he really performed good during a 5 setter because maybe of his advantage to read the game and adjust in the middle to win. So it will be a good tournament for sure, we have a new rising star in Alcaraz, but I think Nadal or Djokovic will not be discounted as one of the favorites as well. If Alcaraz goes to the finals and eventually win then there will be no question about who is the next young player to take over.
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 12, 2022, 09:46:15 PM
Seems like the Suns are ready to move to the next round.  Luka got a little help here and there this series, but it's still pretty clear that without a dominant second scorer this team is going to struggle in the postseason.  The next game should be a good one as Dallas has their backs to the wall, but I think they're just overmatched.  I'm expecting a Suns vs Warriors Western Conference Finals, and with the Warriors healthy (more or less) this year, we'll likely see the series we should have seen last year.  That matchup will probably be the best of the postseason unless we get a Bucks/Warriors Finals matchup, which right now seems more likely than not.

The pressure is always on Luka since his team mates is very inconsistent on scoring. It's good that Brunson finally helping Luka but in exchange was the rest of the team is playing very awful on Suns home court. Maybe we can see some do or die game once the game fly back to Dallas since Mavs is strong when they have there home support. I notice how Ayton come bqck strong on this game. Suns is very strong when Ayton finally giving some contribution in offence and defence.
Yeah, Finney-Smith didn't have the usual good shooting night. It was only Brunson and Luka who did most of the scoring in this game. Finney-Smith 8 points and Reggie Bullock 0 and Dinwiddle 2 points. That is no support, they just had a bad shooting night overall. Booker exploded for 28 points and CP3 with 10 assists.

Dallas are good at home, but if they would remain like that, they would still lose in the series. Going back to their home court, they need to defeat the Suns by a huge margin so they will have the momentum in game 7 and they can match well the Mavericks.

In that case, I might wait for game 7 before I will place my bet on the series. Though it's a trend I don't trust the Mavericks will win and push the series to game 7 as the Suns would like to finish the series so they could rest early. CP3 has not exploded yet, both 2 games in the road are not good for him, so I'm expecting he will have a good game in game 6.
But it was enough for them to take the lead in this series even if CP3 after having a 'perfect' game seems to be struggling. Although we have to understand that he is guarding Brunson from time to time and that gets some of his energy.

So I yeah, why not wait if there will be a game 7, most likely though, the Suns wanted to end this series even at the Dallas homecourt, go back to Phoenix and rest.
2455  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t rush to buy Bitcoin on: May 12, 2022, 09:26:22 PM
Well it went to $3k'ish because of unforeseen circumstances and that is the covid-19 pandemic. Not sure if we will going to see such kind of events that will have a huge impact to the market to go and went to 2 digits again.

So the better approach will be like DCA, or if you really have a lot of capital to purchase in this bear market, then really buying in the dip.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 11, 2022, 10:10:56 PM
Actually, Warriors played better without Ja Morant. Look at game 4, it was Memphis who were leading in the game, Warriors just made a huge surge in the 4th quarter so they won, but in game 3, Ja Morant was the leading scoring and his teammates are just living in his shadow, so they are less effective.
I have a different point of view of what happened in Games 3 and 4, with and without Ja Morant. Game 3 was the start of homecourt advantage for the Warriors so the pressure will be there. While in Game 4 they are a bit calm although they played without Ja.
It's not that they are better without him, that's kind of disrespect for Ja. It's just that they had always been a better team with high chemistry and cerebral. But above that all, they will need their superstar to win a game, especially against strong teams like the Warriors.
That kind of rumor about the Grizzlies being better without him started in the season, but that's not true in my opinion.
Probably, they started to be complacent in their last time until the last 8 minutes of the game when they saw that the Grizzlies are not going away for good. And it just so happened that they are a solid team so they were able to come back and win. But that was a very difficult thing to do, what if the Grizzlies won that game? So it's better for them to really put the pedal early and build a huge lead and win with some to spare in the last quarter.
2457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin fall below $30k on: May 11, 2022, 07:54:26 PM
As we are all aware of the volatility of the Bitcoin/cryptocurrency market which give the industry the speculative tendency to allow for analysis of the market from various analysts, as the week started in an unpredictable wave of downward movement which is the lowest for a long time since 2021 many predicted thirty thousand dollars price as the bearish minimum for this season but as at the time of making this post Bitcoin price is already below 30k region and this make me think what the next limit price will be I predict $25k as the lowest Bitcoin can fall to.
It's the same as last year, bitcoin plummeted under $30k and it had recovered eventually. But this time, we don't know how long will it stay on that price.
Last year though was different because we are still in the bull market. That's why the chances to recover are very high. As compare to 2022 wherein the bears takes over the market now.

And if it's going to be lower for the next days to come. Just as what we're talking about buying at these certain times, it's typical to buy if you've got money ready to get in to the market.
Yes, we might as well take this situation to our side and buy bitcoin. It is cheap and we might not see this chances again. Goodluck to everyone though, hopefully we will make the right decision and learn from the 2018 bear market.
2458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What a bear market actually looks like on: May 11, 2022, 02:41:11 PM
conditions were dire to those who were beginners, and seemed normal to those who had experienced them. Since I experienced that in 2018, the bear market is not scary for me anymore. What's more for this year cryptocurrencies are very developed, even though the bear market is crashing but they haven't made a solid reason for bitcoin to collapse, so I would never worry about it.
2018 repeats itself!, absolutely unavoidable now!, past mistakes keep repeating,
I've been in the crypto world since 2017 and I'm following the bears, the result is that my capital is -80% in 2018-2019,
but in 2020-2021 i got high profit and the result now i am really very frustrated to see all those profits disappear in 2022
Experience wise, you should learn from your past mistakes already. Same as in my case, the bear market in 2018 is really hard to bear but I just sucked it up and keep it under my belt as experience. So the same thing is happening again, so we should be prepared for the worst and let it grind. For sure together we will get past this bear market, just patience is needed so that we can survived again.

Ja Morant's possible missing tonight's game is a big disadvantage for the Memphis Grizzlies. Remember that in Game 3, they were put by the Warriors in a big margin lead prior to Morant's exiting the game because of that knee-grabbing incident. Therefore, with or without Morant, they were really struggling against the Warriors in front of the Chase Center's crowd.

With that incident, I'm not sure how the Grizzlies will cover what Morant will leave.

For some bettors, the -10 handicap seems can be easily covered by the Warriors.

Unfortunately, it turns out the opposite, the Warriors just barely won the game if not for their late heroics, specially of Curry who doesn't want to lose this game as Ja Morant is absence.

And with this win, they inches themselves to win this series and possible to face the Phoenix Suns for the West finals. But for now lets wait for the Warriors to beat Memphis one last time.

They have to take care of the business tomorrow beause if they lose and Ja Morant will come back, it will not be easy for them to beat the Memphis. Curry has to start strong and KT has to show consistency on his attempts, that's very much needed as they don't easily win in Memphis.
They already win one game at Memphis backyard with Ja Morant playing. And they way they should their pose last game, Grizzlies will need a lot of help, someone will have to step up and have big numbers otherwise if Curry and Thompson and Poole started hot in the first quarter. It will be hard to do catchup because the team knows very well how to protect their lead in the closing minutes.
