1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 31, 2023, 09:17:05 AM
Donaire's retirement was postponed because Donaire feels that he can still box.

I think there's no plan for retirement Donaire even after losing to Inoue in his last fight. He believes he can still fight so he pushes for another fight. And it just happened that Inoue moved up weight giving him another opportunity to fight for the title match and fast forward, WBC ordered him as rank 2 and Moloney as rank 1 to fight for the title.

We will see in this match if Donaire can still fight on his usual and claim again another world title. If happened, he will be the older boxer to get a championship title.
Yeah, I agree, we didn't hear anything from him regarding retiring, on the contrary, he says that he will go doen to 115 lbs to fight Estrada. But that idea was obviously scrapped when Inoue moves up.

So this is another chance for him, he might chase history again as we want to be the oldest bantamweight against Moloney if they all agree about making this fight this year.

1443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: January 28, 2023, 12:41:51 AM
Based on the movement of the Bitcoin price this new year, showed that many investors will have a lot of incomes to achieve when the price of Bitcoin hit higher in the market which is the time many investors are waiting to experience in the community. If the price hit $25,000 end of this month or next month,

This is the first month of a new year and investors are looking forward to opportunity that they can invest in to have a profitable year by the end of the year so it wasn't odd to see Bitcoin pumping as many people would had bought. I bought some myself with the hope of getting something profitable by the end of the year and if it's over my expectations they I can sell some to take care of my needs while I keep holding the rest.
Perhaps what odd is that there are no positive news early this month that makes investors buy bitcoin.

It just suddenly out of nowhere go to where we are right now at $23k, although past history says that after a worst year, bitcoin will recover even if we are still technically in the bear market.

Let wait on the market to see what February holds as them we'll all know if this was a bull trap or not. If the market continues rising then it wasn't a bull trap but if it crashes without any reason been held responsible then we could concluded of this recent pump was indeed a trap for now we can't be sure it is a trap
If that is the case then we should be optimistic that somewhat the next stop will be $25k. Because I'm not seeing that this is a bull trap. The whole month was all green candles for us. Nevertheless if this is a bull trap then we can still buy again when the prices goes down.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 28, 2023, 12:17:08 AM
There's always been talks and intrigue about these 2 teams since the Mavs made an upset and knocked the Suns out in the playoffs in 2021. It seems like some Phoenix fans and maybe even Booker himself hasn't moved on yet.

That's why when these two teams meet again early in the season and the Suns won it after a big comeback, the celebration is like they truly got revenge on the Mavericks lol. They should really be bitter in their last year's playoffs exit as just imagined having the best record in the NBA and up by 2 wins in the playoffs against the Mavericks but still choking and losing it. And the worst, they allow the Mavericks to give them as much as 46 points behind, a literal choke.

I hope though that they will meet again in this year's playoffs to continue their rivalry, with no injuries and in a healthy lineup.
But this lost though, I mean no Luka but still the Dallas were able to escape and get that needed win against their rival. So this could be another huge lost for them mentally and it's worst for them.

Let's see about the Warriors hosted the Raptors, if the Curry incident is over now because as I have said, I didn't like this gestures here with his team mates and it might crack their chemistry this season.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rank positions on CMC changes every bull market? on: January 27, 2023, 08:52:15 AM
Because Etehreum is standing for how many years now and seems no coins that can break its position for another couple of years , though I still see some good projects that only needs support and investors to make its way serving users of its own blockchain.
but for now I must admit the the influence of Vitalik and its team is covering the whales support as it stays rank number 2 till now.
In order for ethereum to be replaced a major breakthrough will need to happen or a major flaw will need to be found on its code, if we discard stable coins then the closest coin to ethereum is BNB and ethereum has almost a 400% advantage over it, it is then not surprising so many people see ethereum as a coin which cannot be replaced, however given enough time it could happen but I suspect such a process would take 8 to 10 years, and that is if there was a big enough contender in the horizon already.
It's a prime mover, so I don't see any new projects replacing them, even if there is a major flaw in the code it will still maintain it's position. I will believed if this is 2017 because that time there are a lot of movement as far as position goes. But even that time wherein there are a lot of so called Ethereum killer, it still remain on top of the altcoin.

So I guess Bitcoin and Ethereum will continue to remain in the top.

And I believed that there are no projects that are going to replace them in the future.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 27, 2023, 04:31:26 AM
It appears that Oscar dela Hoya is showing his real agenda for this fight. It is not money, he wants a trilogy of fights between Tank and King Ry to collect the most money hehehe. This is something similar to Dan Larimer's ICO for EOS where the ICO was collecting money from the community for 1 year and became the largest ICO to have a token sale with $4 billion collected hehehehe.

“This is the best fighting the best, and I strongly feel that when you have a performance where you shine, where you look good, and you fight with passion, fight hard, there is no loser, there’s no loss.

“I see this fight as an even fight. Obviously, my boy Ryan Garcia is going to win, but I can see a trilogy taking place. It’s that type of fight because both guys are undefeated, both guys are young, and both guys are passionate about what they do. Both guys have a huge fan base. This is a trilogy.

Source https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/01/de-la-hoya-gives-update-on-gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-contract-issues/
I guess it's no secret though that he is after for the money with his current cash cow and that's why he is hurt when Canelo separate with him. And he even says that he wanted to fight Canelo, for what? yeah, it's all for the money.

Let's see though if a trilogy is needed, the fight should be close in the first one before we says that a rematch should take place. Otherwise it might not sit well with boxing fans if they will just have a rematch, also what is the story line in the rematch?
1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 27, 2023, 03:57:13 AM
I wonder why nobody is talking here about the Grizzlies-Warriors match-up where Poole put the game winning shot.

He is the reason why Curry got ejected because of his early shot with more than 10 seconds remaining, but on the other hand, he is also the reason why the Grizzlies are now on a 4 game losing streak. Dynasty?? Cheesy Dynasty in their dreams.

Stephen Curry had great support from Thompson and Poole. I thought the Warriors might actually lose when Stephen Curry was ruled out of this game after throwing his mouth guard which counted as a technical foul. This obviously happened because Poole did not pass him the ball when he was absolutely free. But in the end, Poole did the thing of beauty in the end which resulted in a win for the Golden State Warriors. I'm not going to lie. That was absolutely amazing what he did in the last moment of the game.
The game is tied if I'm not mistaken when he throw his mouth guard out of his frustrations for not getting the ball from Jordan Poole, and the shot selection that he had made or miss,  Grin.

Of course, Klay is really pump up when he is facing the Memphis Grizzlies and you can see his emotions after he made that big shot and looking at the bench of the Grizzlies. However, I don't like what Steph has showed in his team mates here, yes he is the superstar but he should acted like that as if he is blaming his team mates for the mistakes that he had made, not passing the ball to him.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 27, 2023, 03:25:43 AM
Keith Thurman is fighting Erroll Spence Jr. not because he wants to but rather because that's an offer.

As a former title holder and one of the dominant boxers before in his division, that is something a good opportunity and a big break he will have after a long hiatus since being defeated by a veteran Pacquiao and coming back later with a win against a not-that-big opponent.

If upset will happen, then let's see what's next for these two.

Thurman's career has been on a downward slide ever since he lost to Manny Pacquiao. So much so that his last year's win against Mario Barrios went almost unnoticed. Back then, he was the overwhelming favorite to win (although betting odds swung to Pacquiao's favor later as his fans rushed to make bets). After his loss to Pacquiao, he took a break from boxing, for almost 3 years. The fight against Spence is a chance of redemption for Thurman. He is 34-year old and this fight represents a golden opportunity for him to return to the form he once he had.
Yeah, and I think he is not into boxing anymore after that huge and humiliating lost to Manny Pacquiao. Because after that, he focuses himself to be a boxing commentator. And probably he has still a contract with PBC that's why he was somewhat 'force' to might Barrios at 147 lbs which is just a so so performance from him. And then he comes back again, and fighting the best version of Spence here. So this could really be make or break for him if he losses and probably he won't get the glory that he had, as he once dominated this division.
1449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: January 27, 2023, 02:27:11 AM
It's a funny thing that predictions change with the mood of the people who make them. When people see constant red on their charts they tend to predict red, when the y see a lot of green, they predict green and there's always a small period of denial in between.
When the price was at 16k they were predicting 12 even 10k. When it broke up to 20k they were in denial for some time saying that it must be a fakeout and we're going back to 17k, but now many analysts change into bulls saying that 25k is next. Sometimes I read them for fun, but 99% of them suck at predicting the price.

IMO 25k is not really a resistance. It was never a significant level both on the way up and down. It was never defended for a long time and it didn't have a lot of volume. 29-30k is much more important. Everything below 30k should be considered a depression and undervaluation.
It could be very significant right now as our lower lows is $15,000. So going to $25,000 is like $10,000 so that is huge and it could be a difficult task right now. But let's see if $23k could be maintain first, I see a lot of selling pressures right now and it might not be good to see the price going below it if we wanted to see $25k short term.

However, the game is still going to be long for us, we are in the bear market so a lot of things can happen that might go against the $25k prediction. Like some bad news as a whole bringing all market down.
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Vs Cardano on: January 26, 2023, 01:00:23 PM
Well, if Vitalik will reduce the fees as he promised, then Cardano has no chance.
This is only one reason i don’t like to use Etherum in the bull season, i think it’s a big problem for all the users who guys making transaction in eth network, even in the last bull market i spend 200$ gas fees in a single transaction you believe it or not. So here fee is crazy but i don’t think cardano will overtake eth because eth is number two coin.

Yeah and that's why they move to PoS already to solved that high fees, (similar to bitcoin network in 2017 bull run wherein the network is clogged). I think I can understand you reason because I have the same experience as well. But it seems that the market has settled down already.

As for Cardano, I think it shouldn't be look at a competitor of Ethereum in any way.

But a good project that we can invest as well in this bear market because it's cheap and in my personal opinion, should be one of those coins that will enjoy a good success in the next bull run.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 26, 2023, 12:26:32 PM
I almost hit my 6 teams parlay last night, I just lost on the 76ers game because I took the spread. They could have covered that already as they were leading with a decent margin, but I'm just unfortunate that they allow the Nets to come back a bit, just enough to cover the handicap.
Sorry to hear that mate, they are really in control of the game and taking double digits lead, but the Nets won't simply go away. Ben Simmons hit some of those shots, his right hook and instrumental in the comeback.

If I'm not mistaken, the spread is like -6.5 right?

I lost my bet because I took Sacramento, but they are really off in this game at their homecourt. As if they don't want to take this win because there are a lot of turnovers. There are stretch wherein Sabonis will have like 3 TO in succession. Very bad game for them at home.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tom Brady's Gambling and HUGE loss. on: January 26, 2023, 10:34:22 AM
I think whatever he does, of course he already understands the risks, so why do I feel sorry for him, while we also know that everyone when betting anything is of course conscious unless he is drunk, but I think that will be an important lesson for him  Wink
It's because we think that he wasted his money as far as his association with SBF and his failed project FTX. And it cost him his marriage too, he has a good life already, all he has to do is think about his future and his family.

But I guess that is too much to ask for a athlete or a personality like Tom who thinks he can always win in this game called life.

Now he is back to square one and thinking how he can bounce back financially.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 26, 2023, 02:38:42 AM
Terrible loss by the Chicago Bulls last night.  I just don't get it with this team.  They beat really good teams on a decently regular basis but keep loosing to teams they shouldn't be losing to, like the Indiana Pacers last night.  They had a 21 point lead at one point and completely squandered that.  Lavine only having 14 pts was pretty sad.  The guy was 0-7 from the three point line last night.  After missing 5 straight 3 pointers it's probably time to switch it up.  SMH, terrible loss.
That's happen to the best of them, unfortunately, even without Haliburton, the Chicago lost because they can't shoot the ball simply as that. They are leading, huge double digit, but the Pacers are not giving that up, even today if you watch their game in the road against the Magic, they have the same kind of mentality. But the Magic was able to withstood the rally of Pacers and won by just 6 points, when they have double digit as well. So it's a tough lost, but hopefully the Bulls can recover from this lost mentally in their next game.
1454  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 26, 2023, 02:09:53 AM
It's not a false bull or bull trap, as the tendency is already lasting for a whole month, and probably it will. I believe if it were a trap it wouldn't have lasted for longer than one week. Bitcoin is retaking its previous position from last year, before the time seasonal holidays started, that is usually when people cashout their funds to travel and buy gifts, consequently crashing BTC. However, there can be bull traps soon on Bitcoin's way towards superior price ranges, such as 40,000$ and 50,000$.
It's obvious that this is not a bull trap, this has been ongoing for quite sometime now and probably will continue till next month. And for those who have thought that this is a bear trap, they could have lost some money waiting for the price to decline, in my opinion.

And yeah maybe as we go to this crazy runs in the bear market, I'm also seeing that once we touch $40k-$50k there could be a huge correction. Probably the last one is this bear market before we enter next year for the block halving and then the real bull run. So we shall see.
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 25, 2023, 05:14:40 PM
I like Beterbiev to stop Yarde.

I've never been sold on Yarde.

I backed Kovalev to beat him and Yarde doesn't like to be pressured.

I'm confident Beterbiev with his aggressive and high pressure style stops Yarde late.

What is more interesting here is if Yarde will try to become the aggressor early or he will try to fight smart and outbox Beterbiev. Yarde may be a little faster here since Beterbiev is aging. If only Yarde is used to fighting full 10 and 12-round fights, maybe he can just focus on outboxing Beterbiev. But Yarde had been knocking out nearly all of his opponents in the past which leads to an assumption that he might be gassed out in the late rounds. Whereas Beterbiev may have KO'd all his previous opponents but his style is conservative and he is smart as well which may enable him to continue fighting at a high pace even in the late rounds.
Yes, that is going to be an issue with Yarde, if the fight goes to distance, and we all know that with that kind of body, regardless if you are a boxing, sooner or later you will have to tire and gas out. And that is going to be a problem for him as he will be vulnerable to Beterbiev's power punching. And to be fair, Beterbiev is also not known to last full 12 rounds because he usually knockouts his opponent early. But in his last fight he was extended but still deliver a win for him. So it's going to be a big test for Arthur to last longer rounds as well.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 25, 2023, 04:25:47 PM
I don't know who can win this fight because they have an approximate difference in technique and age of course Nonito Donaire is older than his opponent but he is also much more experienced than Jason Moloney so both experience and youth can play in this fight.

Moloney's age could be an advantage only if he would focus on countering Donaire's punches. However, Donaire's previous matches aren't that impressive. He had a lose streak and it really ruined his winning record. It seems like he wasn't well prepared in his previous matches. I guess it's time for him to notice the weakest spot on his previous spots and turn it into his strength. It will be a good chance for him to prove himself in the ring again.
It's hard though for Moloney to counter a counter puncher like Donaire. Not sure what you meant by Donaire's previous matches are not that impressive, it's all good for him after losing to Inoue the first time as he knocks everyone out, however, when face with the Monster the second time, he was then knockout because he admit that he make a wrong strategy of going toe to toe with Inoue. But in this fight against Moloney if ever this will happen, Donaire's chances are good because Moloney is not that of a knockout artist.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 25, 2023, 11:54:38 AM

I am losing interest in the Grizzlies as well. Ja Morant is acting too much for someone who has not achieved anything yet in the league. They are still a good team just a bit inconsistent and too much talk.

If they continued on like this I think there will be many fans that will be disappointed with their performance, Ja "Almost" Morant doesn't have great stats right now and has been missing some of the crucial games they need and with the recent Sacramento Kings game I think they truly busted their winning percentage and right now when bettors seeing the Memphis Grizzlies names they are already sure that it will be another losing streak for the Memphis Grizzlies,
A 3 game losing streak after an 11 game winning streak.
I don't expect the Grizzlies to play like this in their future games.

What I don't like with them is that, they are acting like they achieve something already like @jakelyson said. TBH, they're the same as the Suns who are acting tough in the league and yet, they can't even win a title. The Grizzlies even trash talked the Warriors last season and look where they ended up. Even that Brooks is acting tough and trash talking on different players, but he achieved nothing as of this moment.

On their game against Sacramento, Morant didn't play and his impact on the team is too much that you can feel it once he isn't playing. Their next game will be against the Warriors on the road. The Warriors are 17-6 on their home against the Grizzlies who is 11-13 on the road. I'm having a feeling that they might lose again. :X

They are playing on the road if I'm not mistaken that's why they had problems facing those home court teams. Yes, it has backfired on them bigtime now, with how they act, even Shannon Sharpe is at it as well. They can't take what Grizzlies is saying, dynasties etc when they haven't win a ring yet.

And then the big mouth leader of them, yeah, high lights dunks and stuff, but unless you are not winning a ring, you need to be respectful.

That's why they will never win a championship because they are very disrespectful, they think they are the best team but their stats say their real standing. I'm also thinking that they will never win a WCF case they'll be lucky to be in that stage because most likely the Warriors or the Nuggets will slay them.
Yeah, even Lebron James, they don't show any respect for him when they match against the Lakers. So we are not really sure why the Memphis suddenly become this kind of team. I guess they really think that they are good and just running teams.

But now they got their straight losses in the road, so that didn't look look for their image now, lol. They are still in the second spot though behind the Denver Nuggets team. And now they are going to face the Warriors next at Chase center, that is going to be huge.
1458  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Start of a Bull Season on Bitcoin? Or a Trap? on: January 25, 2023, 11:37:36 AM
I don't think these New Year's positives are a trap, it's the natural driver of the bitcoin trend.  I'm not sure if the winter bear market will actually dissipate, that's just part of the optimism about the market's recovery.  Next time will prove it but clearly the market is not in the bull season yet
Yeah, I think everyone is very positive with the movement this January, we have touch $23k already. So that is big jump from our lowest low of $15,500. But it seems that $23k is a big barrier that we have to break at this point.

But in any case, even if we remain at $22k, still very good price as the bear market might be over for now.

Let's just remain optimistic for 2023, and hope no events this year like the FTX or Terra Luna will happen so that the market will have a smooth ride to $30k and higher price.
1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shiba inu coin, now ranked 13th in cmc on: January 24, 2023, 08:07:36 PM
lately I always buy shiba inu coins in installments using the dca system and in my opinion shiba inu coins will have good potential in the future because looking at the rankings on cmc, what do you think about shiba inu coins, will they have the potential to increase in the future, or not? I want to hear an explanation from all of you?...
They are just trying to be the next Doge in my opinion,

a. it might have been pure pump and dump
b. there is no fundamental with this coins

Of course in the next bull run, maybe the price will go up just like the last time But I don't think it's going to be sustainable. And usually as I have mentioned, pumpers are just going to play with it to make money and victimized noobs in the market, just saying.
1460  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 24, 2023, 07:27:42 PM
Now bitcoin has started to increase again to $ 23k and there is a possibility that the price will continue to increase after yesterday's correction. Yesterday's correction turned out to be a small correction that had too much effect on the bitcoin price so that the price did not fall too deep and could experience another increase today. I feel that the next barrier for bitcoin price is at $25k.
Barely holding $23k, but I do agree that it's nice to see that price after a long time. But we need to hold and sustain this price, because from the looks of it, doesn't yet that sustainable. And if I'm not mistaken, we hit $23,500 before the correction. So we need to see that price again, if ever we can reach that in the next 5 days or at the end of this month.

Hopefully, the price of bitcoin will not have too much influence on the negative news that is experienced by countries out there. And even if there is a decline later, the price of bitcoin will not fall too deeply so that it will not cause panic in the market.
Depends on the negative news that we will hear. But for now, it's seem that the panic has subsided already. The last negative news is the FTX collapse but we are over with it and that is very positive news.
