2441  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 17, 2020, 10:27:30 AM
Today all we see is desperation & fear. most people don't mind buying the vaccine from dark or black market in course of trying to protect themselves and that of their love ones. It like an hungry person who does not really care about the  quality of food presented before him or her

The spreading of fear and panic especially when there is no need to is actually unfortunate. If those people who do this understand humans well enough, they wouldn't be doing it. It's more like an attack on people and society.
The situation should be handled in a safe and reasonable way that does create more problems for societies.
2442  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why hasn't anyone thought of this for Nose Mask? on: December 17, 2020, 09:03:03 AM
I have been wondering why no one is making nose mask rather than the typical face mask. Why not develop a nose covering that is as small as a human nose and transparent as well. The covering won't be that noticeable especially if it's transparent.   The nose covering could be made to fit or cling to the nose and have filter underneath to aid proper breathing and filtering of the air.  I think the current face mask are too large & obvious, and could be the part of the reasons why people don't want to put them on.

Mouth covering could also be constructed in this manner — small and transparent.
Why need to use separate cover when they can do it both and much safer?

and look how would be the outcome in our looks?only nose and mouth ?i don't want to look like an Alien or Mascot just because of following you advice, i would rather wear a typical mask than this idea.

Actually not for everyone. Everyone has different choices. If you prefer the full covering then go for it, I believe there are people who don't want their faces covered that way because of how obvious and big the masks are. They avoid face mask altogether and endanger their lives and the lives of other people. You could provide them this alternative and have them wear them than wearing nothing.

2443  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why hasn't anyone thought of this for Nose Mask? on: December 17, 2020, 07:57:16 AM
I think the problem is having something on your face everywhere you go. Simply making it smaller is not going to change that problem.

The important thing is to make the nose covering less obvious by making it transparent (probably as transparent as glass) and small.

But won't you have to put it on the same way as a face mask? Or do you have a different solution.
The nose covering won't need rope by the way... you just attach it to your nose and move on.

I can't imagine that type of face/nose mask. Do you have a sample illustration of how it looks like? the face masks that we are using for the protection of covid transmission are covering half of our face.

Transmission can be done through droplets which can pass through our nose and mouth. It is easier to reiterate the type of mask that you have in your thought if we can see it through an image.

Searched on the web for the exact model of what I described, didn't find anything close.

It can be somewhat shaped like human nose, covering from the top of a nose to the nostrils.  It needs to be transparent like glass with filters at the nostrils parts.

2445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot go as per your plan on: December 16, 2020, 04:26:56 PM
There has been many topics in this forum with open ended questions like why didn't Bitcoin reach $20k mark or why there has been a slowdown, what's the reason for the recent fluctuations and when is it going to achieve $50k or $100k?

We need to understand that Bitcoin doesn't go as per our expectations or predictions because here are numerous factors which steers the Bitcoin market and price like demand and supply, government's restrictions on Bitcoin or support for crypto currency then comes the whales. I couldn't answer everyone individually but I hope this will help users who have posted similar articles. Even I was one of them in the past.

Or simply put:    if more bitcoin is bought than is sold the price goes up,  If more is sold than is bought, price goes down. This should easily help anyone have basic understanding why price is goes up and down like that. Other factors still boil down on demand and supply.
2446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on bitcoin holder tax from Indian government Income Tax on: December 16, 2020, 04:09:38 PM
I guess that only affects people who use companies operating under the Country's authority/jurisdiction? If the taxes are high/unfair, people should probably use decentralized crypto platforms that are autonomous, or foreign platforms with fair taxes . I believe people should be free to do so.
2447  Other / Off-topic / Imagine a Ship in an Ocean heading towards a giant Hole on: December 16, 2020, 10:00:33 AM
When people onboard the Ship start getting drunk, sleeping, behaving badly etc, the ship drifts towards the giant hole quicker

The Ship is Earth, the hole is hell. We are currently in a "Giant Ship" drifting toward hell. The entity in the giant hole is encouraging those onboard the ship to behave badly and drift quickly into the hole so that he can get in and take full control of the ship
2448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Google down and out for 45 minutes on Monday- the perils of centralization on: December 16, 2020, 09:34:17 AM
Well, people seem to rely heavily on centralized companies and probably don't realize how dangerous that is... not only in the area of network outage, also in privacy, transparency, accountability, security etc.

You don't trust or rely heavily on any internet company that is centralized, not very Transparent, not Privacy-friendly, not Censorship Resistant, that can have important information/data deleted without trace etc. When I realized some of this fact, I stopped considering them for serious/long-term usage.
2449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 16, 2020, 09:03:15 AM
Ofcourse,  betting sites odds matter (they seem  reasonable and like what most people expect) but I'd try to make sure I win my bets by going further to research the teams to see if the given odds are even reliable/accurate. I'll likely use better factors to determine which team can really win a match or whether it'll end in draw. I wouldn't just assume the sites got the odds right.
2450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽The Best FIFA Football Awards™ - every year the same procedure⚽ on: December 16, 2020, 08:25:59 AM
Robert Lewandovski stands head and shoulder high above cristiano ronaldo and Leonel messi last season
If not bias, Robert Lewandovski is the the best FIFA men’s player, he worked for it and deserves to be the best.

Best men's coach for me is Klopp, I know bayern munchi and many others thinks that bayern coach deserves it although he deserves and most likely, but klopp built a team from the scratch to break a long standing jinx, Liverpool where exciting last season.
I will not choose Jürgen Klopp, Hans-Dieter Flick deserves it. Klopp really tried but Hans-Dieter Flick did not only try but helped Bayern to win the European Champions League, that alone deserved him over Klopp to be the best FIFA men’s coach.

When it comes to award winning prizes there is nothing like emotions or biases; This is why the award is vote based; Lewandoski indeed has more stats than Messi and C.Ronaldo; but the impacts of their performance over the year as judged by different club captains, coaches, etc will be the determining factor as to who will win the Best player for 2020. C.Ronaldo single handedly took Juventus to a scudetto victory, while Lewandoski goals guided Bavern to a treble trophy, Messi on the other hand carried the whole Barcelona team. The vote wins

Thought you'd say "Merit-based" here:
Quote
the award is vote based
I guess that's what they use in determining the winners. Wish votes are cast "with reasons", then voting participants could determine whether the reasons given by voters are accurate by upvoting/downvoting cast votes.

2451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggest the best strategy on: December 16, 2020, 07:56:31 AM
I suggests small odds and staking big amount the match will be selected carefully I call that sure game/bet, I choose one or two games and stake big amount. Let say 1.3 oddd into 2 places that will give me 2.4 odds in total if you stake big amount and you sure on the games winning. you will win a reasonable amount most of the times.

More like betting few big/medium amounts on bets you are sure of winning. That's probably one of the ways I would bet if I dont want to spend alot of time on betting sites. I'd choose few games/competitions and do a through research on them, then bet something substantial when I'm more sure of winning. I will likely reduce the bet amount if I'm not very sure after my research. .

I think pretty similar to you. Betting a few Medium size bets seems much better in my opinion instead of betting everything on one bet. Doing a massive all in bet always seems nice in movies because the hero ends up winning, but in real life the risks ads just too large for me.With more medium size bets we can minimise our risks while still having a decent upside potential from the bets.

Ofcourse.
People who wish to bet that way(multiple bet at a time or in a single day) should probably split the day's bet amount(the amount should still be within what bettors can afford to risk) into small pieces and spread them on games/competitions they are fairly sure of winning.
It's about minimizing risk while trying to be successful in your bets.
2452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: does it really make sense trading on Bitcoin? on: December 15, 2020, 05:08:32 PM
If by trading you mean buying and selling to profit from the volatility or fluctuation in price, then I'll say it's worth it and can be profitable.
I think you could Hold and Trade(bet on price with coins) as well. Both are OK.
Such trading could even be helping to keep the market somewhat balanced until supply/demand increase or decrease drastically.
2453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin regulations might force ETH nodes to comply with the government on: December 15, 2020, 04:15:45 PM
I guess that will affect only stablecoins backed by USD?
Anyway, Decentralized Crypto Projects should be built in such a way that regulation can be possible without compromising on ideals like decentralization, transparency, immutablity, censorship resistant, anonymity etc.
Coins/tokens should be well decentralized and you could have them regulated without centralizing them.
2454  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: December 15, 2020, 03:46:17 PM
I wonder if they use fiat currencies on the dark web.  How easy can those buying/selling illegal things there transact businesses with fiat currencies without getting caught?

In my opinion, you could as well buy things like that with digital fiat currencies... all you need to do is to go to the sellers directly, make purchases and send them money p2p to their local bank accounts(with some application that preserve privacy/anonymity). Fiat transactions are hidden from the public unlike on Bitcoin... this would make things hard to prove without real transparency
I prefer a financial system that truely preserve privacy/anonymity but is still able keep track of people who use it for dangerous things. Hopefully, this is possible in the future with Bitcoin/crypto.
2455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 15, 2020, 10:36:13 AM
Probably people who have successful or profitable trading strategies. Better to develop or use something that works consistently for you. If you find a strategy that works for you most time , you automatically become part of the few successful traders. I think they are few people who are consistently profitable in trading but am not really sure about the percentage
2456  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin for “Fake Rich”? on: December 15, 2020, 09:43:38 AM
.

YOU LITERALLY OWN A PIECE OF CODE, BUT YOU ARE BILLIONARE PERIOD

What is gonna happen once the post-apocalyptic scenarios come true? When/if there will be no electricity, computers, phones, etc.? People will value no US Dollar backed by state promise to pay off debt… your decentralized piece of code will not exist anymore (I do know about some offline-friendly cryptocurrencies)… only gold or natural resources will become valuable again.

While I do know many “Bitcoin evangelists” will probably hate me for the words above, but don’t you think that Bitcoin intentionally or unintentionally became the new asset for the “fake rich”?

A piece of code that's is used to represent value, same as paper. You can even use plastic, amber, stones etc as money. What matter is the value it represents and whether the material can't be counterfeited, is fraud-proof, will last long and can really work well as money

I think Bitcoin could be built in such a way that the full ledger can be printed and used completely offline. You'd will need to replicate the online Decentralization Model (or a better model) and features/principles on a physical level and have People with full Physical Ledgers (more like full nodes) verify transactions of participants in their communities.

The speaker In the video is probably trying to make money from the PDF without making it look like he's scamming anyone. As far as I can tell, he didn't promise to make anyone rich or make anyone earn that kind of money easily. He probably just enticed the viewers in the beginning of the video with what looks like he easily earned huge amounts of money with small amount.
He's intention is what matters in this case. Hope it's not deceptive because the title alone can make alot of people think they will be rich if they pay for the PDF
i havent finished the video and cant watch proerly because of super slow internet but you finished it arent you ?

I Watched it. It's a short video anyway.

what i dislike to him is that he begins the video with 20 btc and his caption is winning 1m dollars from 50 dollars .

i dont know about you guys but i have always a bad approach whenever i came across a business like that . why cant those people reduce the amounts and try to be more realistic but they can still be creative and attractive if they learn how

There are couple of things I really don't like about the video:
* he doesn't seem to have any fixed price for the PDF.  I wouldn't bother too much if he's selling it for maybe less than $1 or amount it's really worth.
* that specific title & the video content may have been used/designed on purpose to attract desperate people.
* etc

It's really interesting how many crypto Users/Enthusiasts/Investors are going into politics... This young one is more surprising to me.  Maybe they believe they can run the countries better than how they are currently run?
I wonder if he's a strong fan of all the good Ideals/Principles of true Cryptocurrency.  I believe the Ideals coupled with good rules can help make alot of countries to be run better and more honestly.
