1461  Economy / Economics / Re: Can blockchain replace the traditional banking system? on: July 28, 2021, 10:02:59 AM
In the traditional financial system, the regulator will monitor your operations in order to maintain the integrity of the system, and the process will incur large costs and may be full of fraud. But the blockchain system gains integrity by incentivizing the best interests of the system and allowing anyone to verify it.

And that will depend on how transparent, immutable, decentralized the Banks Blockchain would be. If you take away some of the most important features like transparency, immutablity, decentralization, you would be attracting stronger regulation from central authority/government. The best way to keep them far away is to have no reason to be regulated by them.
1462  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Keynes Plan on: July 28, 2021, 09:45:49 AM
Fortunately, the Bancor you mentioned was designed for that specific purpose but Bitcoin was designed differently and it's meant to be decentralized and used by anyone.
I guess the government can try the Bancor experiment on new crypto/token or something, and make it voluntary. Bitcoin should remain decentralized, permissionless, trustless etc

1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: July 28, 2021, 09:14:19 AM
Is United States anonymous? Or can people be anonymous in United States?
Ofcourse we all know the name of the Country is United States, so the name isn't hidden. Besides anonymity is typically used for human not a Nation. Same as Bitcoin(the Network and currency)... the name is Bitcoin, but Users can be Anonymous like Satoshi said.
1464  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto lead to the next financial crisis? on: July 27, 2021, 04:19:33 PM
The question is how much is enough to cause a financial crisis?
People who come up with similar questions or criticism like yours often forget how much Bitcoin or true crypto have contributed to nations and people's well-being.
All I want and care about is that we do things in moderation and sensible manner for the good people/society.

Fiat and Bitcoin/crypto stakeholders shouldn't feel too insecure about the progress of the other but instead work together & ensure that everyone/nation benefits from their good progress/development
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Game with hidden Bitcoin on: July 27, 2021, 03:43:38 PM
Interesting.
Well, I hope something like that is done in a manner that creates solutions to problems that are useful in real world... in solving crimes for example, so people who would spend lots of their time solving the problem but fail to win can learn something useful from the game.
1466  Other / Off-topic / Re: what do you do for a living? How much do you earn each month? on: July 27, 2021, 03:18:27 PM
Couldn't watch the video unfortunately. Will hopefully watch it later, but i think what matters the most is what work we do and how useful our work is to people and society.
I hardly judge by how much people earn otherwise I would be judging farmers, teachers, and those doing very useful work but earning little to nothing unfairly.
By the way, the more people your work have good impact on the better
1467  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you use deodorant? on: July 27, 2021, 03:02:50 PM
You can make use of the under listed as pure and natural remedies to using deodorant
Lemon juice
Baking soda
Alcohol
Essential oil

For further readings, you can click on the link source below
https://thompsontee.com/blog/deodorant-alternatives-that-keep-pits-dry/

Ofcourse, I'm aware that combining certain natural substances together like those you listed may help , but I try to limit this to one or very few safe substances for the sake of simplicity and to list things that are common or readily available in the countries of most/all readers.
I actually saw videos that recommended lemon, baking soda, plus multiple mixtures, I didn't consider them very much due to issue simplicity, availability and safety also.
1468  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another new phase of Convid-19 due to unvaccinated people on: July 27, 2021, 10:26:18 AM
Freedom of choice:

Wear a mask. Get vaccinated. Avoid others who don't volunteer to be infected by you.

Those are some reasonable choices to pick from. Freedom does not mean freedom to harm others and extend a pandemic.
I agree.

Just because we've got freedom, you're free to do as what your will wants. There's still a crucial and important situation that everyone has to consider during these hard times.

Those who are not believing the vaccine and wearing mask, please do not think of how lowly this virus is.

I consider mask safer because you are not getting  man-made foreign things into your delicate body.
By the way, I wonder what those who want everyone to have the vaccine think concerning the possibility of  cases where certain people are immune to the disease, or have strong immune systems that can easily prevent disease or  "soldiers"/defenses that are able to fight and easily defeat the disease? What if these offers better protection from the disease than vaccine? How about natural treatments and cures?
Well, if they are not sure, one of the alternative safety measures in place of vaccines can be mask

1469  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency? on: July 27, 2021, 09:46:38 AM
I don't mind getting rewarded with things that are safe and valuable. I actually prefer having substantial part of my rewards going to Bitcoin, due mainly to the nature of my works and my understanding of the importance of technology/currency like Bitcoin.
So the intention should be right and people have to make sure they use it the right way
1470  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help for what many are silent. on: July 27, 2021, 09:21:30 AM
As long as you do it correctly. Only through JESUS CHRIST (the MESSIAH/SAVIOR of this World) can anyone truely be saved from the hands of evil spirits, witchcraft, and other evil.

Once they accept the MESSIAH as their LORD & SAVIOR and be baptized they will be instantly saved. Those evil will have no power over them anymore.
Reading or/and listening to the Word of GOD and believing It can baptize anyone. People have to believe and obey the Words

Listen To the Word of GOD Here:

1471  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another new phase of Convid-19 due to unvaccinated people on: July 27, 2021, 08:58:35 AM
The important question is has that been proven? Does it mean that the vaccinated cannot spread the disease? It is better to be very careful with words. They can be used to judge and condemn the speakers in the future.
1472  Other / Off-topic / Re: A gift for a sportsman on: July 23, 2021, 04:24:54 PM
My favorite gift if cycling (or a different career) was my passion would be something I desperately need to help my cycling career. Or you could just secretly inquire from your friend's family to know what he desperately needs or what he will appreciate the most and get some for him.
1473  Economy / Economics / Re: What kind type of market player you are? on: July 23, 2021, 04:04:14 PM
Robert kiyosaki said on his youtube channel (The Rich Dad Channel)

"this is real financial education, what they don't teach you in school...so there's three kinds of people in the world when it comes to money, there's an investor, a trader, and a speculator"

- INVESTOR = an investor puts capital to use for long-term profit.
- TRADER = a trader seeks to make short-term profits by buying and selling over and over again.
- SPECULATOR = a speculator just gambles and hopes that other parties will dare to pay higher his/her tokens or coins later.

i'm an investor, not very trading savvy, just buy Bitcoin and some Altcoins for long-term.  How about you friend?

So, what do you call those who profit from price prediction without taking big risk (or gambling)? I think typical trading on regular exchanges mostly involves price predictions.... Traders buy and set a price target they hope a coin will hit in the future to sell and make profit. That is predicting/betting on price. Taking big betting risk would be considered gambling. I actually prefer investing and the typical price prediction

Has anyone tried myrrh? ...Myrrh is natural substance that is extracted from trees. Currently using it and it seems to be working... I'm not sure if it's something else though or just the myrrh.
One interesting thing about myrrh is that some claim it's edible. I learnt months ago that in ancient times people put them in their wine, use it for medicine etc. Will need to use it for sometimes to be sure it's the myrrh wrorking and not something else
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: Does studying Economics in School make one to be economical or what on: July 23, 2021, 03:07:50 PM
Your opinion is needed concerning the above topic.

...
However, it's also not always like that. The other side would be, studying economics would not really make you economical because it still lies in your personal preferences and the habits you built along the way. If you are undisciplined, then, being economical won't be one of your traits since you are used to not being frugal. The learnings taught to you won't be as valuable because you don't practice it before. You may also have a hard time being financially literate because like what they say, bad habits die hard. Although, it's just really up to you honestly. Some people who didn't study economics are actually very wise in spending and handling money.

Lots of the useful things taught in economics are knowledge people know "instinctively". They are just there in the knowledge store for humanity and other creatures. Once you need to know and ask, you obtain them if you are qualified.
That's basically how it's in other field of life. Every good thing that needs to be invented/created by the creatures is already there waiting for someone who need to know and deserves it. People just "discover" what has been designed and stored for them to discover. If this generation completely disappears, another one could arise and discover thesame thing, assuming it is destined for the generation to know otherwise they will never know.
1476  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Abortion should be banned. on: July 23, 2021, 10:39:48 AM
Abortion is a woman's right, it is her body and her business. And if she was raped and the child is a terrible and unwanted pregnancy. Or there is a chance that the woman will die in childbirth. Her life is more valuable than the life of an unborn and undeveloped child. imho

Both lives are important. One is not more important than the other. I believe if we start thinking this way, society will be encouraged to make provisions to save both lives. If you lose one while trying your best to do the right thing, it's not your fault.
Once you understand that an unborn child is like a sleeping human who wakes up once in a while in the womb and is not very aware of our world, you will be more careful giving such advice.
The unborn child is a human and deserves to live rather than sacrificed.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 23, 2021, 10:05:28 AM
Regularly spending 3-5% of your monthly income on betting games/competitions maybe consider gambling especially if it doesn't earn you consistent profits and if it's unsafe/bad games or competitions.
I would probably set aside less than that on games/competitions I depend on for luck to win or those I'm not skilled in until develop some strategies that earn me consistent profit.
I think a safe start maybe 0%—2% of your income and I will gradually adjust that depending on how well I do with my bets,.

I wouldn't advice anyone to take big risk or gamble with their funds or life.
Practice Safe Bets all the time
*it's equally a gamble to spend hugh amount of money on things you don't need or even spending on things that can cause you problems. Your intentions for betting should be good if you want to be lucky.

Bet but don't gamble.
1478  Economy / Economics / Re: knowledge and Capital which is Very important in Business or Investment? on: July 23, 2021, 09:27:21 AM
The right knowledge is more important. That should help you easily source for capital for your desired business.  If you want to do what is right, you need our CREATOR by your side always to protect and bless you with all things you'll need for the success of your business.
If you are doing it by your own power there is a point when you'll need to play by "their own rules" else they make things difficult for you.

So, what I need first is the right knowledge, capital will come when I'm ready for business.
1479  Other / Off-topic / Re: Share your reason why you started to play Cryptocurrencies on: July 23, 2021, 09:07:24 AM
Mine was mainly my preference for open source or community based projects. I have been involved in lots of Sci and Tech communities, and once in a while I see Bitcoin mentioned but I don't remember taking time to understand what it really means until I paid for a service with Bitcoin, since then I began to be exposed to more Bitcoin/crypto contents and stuff.
To be honest, lots of the good things I thought will be difficult to achieve can be achieved in Crypto/Bitcoin space. I have thought about developing a virtual nation in cyber space back then before I knew Crypto/Bitcoin, just didn't want to centralized it or have full control over it. I wanted it to be based on good laws. It's actually one of the most important projects  I have been talking about ever since I got into crypto space.
1480  Other / Archival / Re: El Salvadorans are not happy about accepting bitcoin as a means of payment on: July 22, 2021, 05:25:59 PM
Does the law really obligate businesses to accept Bitcoin? That will probably justify the protest if true.
Bitcoin is voluntary currency and no one should be compelled to accept or use it.
I hope the government takes the issues highlighted by the protesters seriously and help create a safe platform for safe use of Bitcoin.
I don't see why Bitcoin and the national fiat shouldn't exist together on the platform, and people can choose to use it or the other or both.
They could use Bitcoin mostly for international transfer and for storing some values while fiat takes care of mostly local needs
