2461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin at a nuclear power station in Ukraine on: August 23, 2019, 10:47:06 AM
It's nice that people used clean energy to mine Bitcoin, I guess, but also sad that people keep trying to profit by cheating and using the resources that don't belong to them.
That is a good perspective to see that people stole clean energy to mine bitcoin and that too from a nuclear power station  Cheesy, i wonder how anyone could do such activities inside a nuclear power station, if anyone could do these illegal activities in a nuclear power plant how about their bloody security, it is a serious security breach or lack of it altogether.
2462  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade war Influences on cryptocurrency on: August 23, 2019, 07:03:19 AM
I just want to discuss with you guys, what influences it will pose on the cryptocurrency if the trade war between US and China continues and maybe even worse. And also, what can ordinary investors do to avoid losses?
As any other investment, people will find it hard to find enough money to invest in any financial market if the trade war escalates to a certain point there are many issues that will arise and jobs will be the first market that would get affected, in the short term you can see it as a boom for local manufacturers and production will increase and in turn the companies can increase their work force which means more jobs, but we need a free market to have a competitive price for the customers and with the worlds top economies clashing is not a good sign as it will slow the economic growth and it will have an impact globally.
Bitcoin can help overcome these restrictions and hopefully the world market will realize the real potential of bitcoin in these situations. For anyone looking for a currency to trade globally without any borders or restrictions they can embrace the magic of bitcoin.

AUS - 179 all out
Archer ripped through them, amazing bowling performance. AUS are up against it now, can England get a good 1st innings though, that’s the question.
I am really impressed with Jofra Archer with his pace and his ability to confuse the batsman with bouncers every now and then and as expected without Smith in the team the Australians are struggling to put runs on the board, Warner scored a half century but the team wants him to score big hundreds, but i am surprised to see a new face in the team Labuschagne who played really well, i am expecting England to take the lead in the first innings but i do not expect them to score beyond 300 runs.
2464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 22, 2019, 06:00:46 PM
Sri Lanka getting flopped out of such a try is due to the lack of sponsorship in my view. Maybe a good sponsor same as that of IPL will make SLPL a success one. These days leagues played within the country is creating more good players.
If a country needs a good talent pool they need to make some effort in grooming the players at a very young age and if any country is finding it hard to find a good replacement is because of their lack of vision of their sports body, major sponsorship might help young aspects to get attracted in cricket as it will be a viable option to make a career, cricket is a popular sport in Srilanka and all you need to have is a good selection process from the junior level.
2465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 21, 2019, 10:51:43 PM
Khwaja and Warner are both brilliant in tests and I am hoping that they could be a backbone for Aussies in 3rd test for a change.
It is time for Warner and Usman to perform in this series and pose a challenging total for England and for England it is the best opportunity to win the test match and level the series and if they are not able to do that then Australia will walk away with the Ashes with ease. Both teams have quality bowlers but Australia will have the upper hand if the pitch starts turning as they have Lyon who is a legit spinner .

Funny part is, some good people are worried about how I tried to make some honest money by hustling as a kid and calls me cancer. Yet they sit by, and do nothing when someone is clearly trying to extort someone.

And somehow my moral compass is broken?
Honesty and hustling cannot be coined together, hope you are aware what you are talking about here because you are still behaving like a kid by coining those terms together, if you are copying others work and claiming your work is called Plagiarism and it is not a kids playground when you are trying to skim off clients who are looking for legit professionals, i am not sure what morality you are holding if you are looking for legit experienced professionals and someone is lying on your face. Your history of moral compass is not that great with your cars sales when you were a kid, kids who carjack are sent to jail and i am not sure what the rules are if you lie when you are trying to secure a job but here in my part of the world they will be blacklisted and will be prosecuted for their crimes.

That being said i am not a fan of doxxing people and dragging their family members, have some maturity when you do that because India is not a bitcoin friendly country and that could get them in real trouble.

Doubt it, he knows that's where the big money is at. Anyone that knows Khabib or Tony knows it's the best fight right now, Khabib vs Poirier is going to be just another shitty fight for khabib, Tony, however, will be tough, probably the toughest fight for Khabib.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is a needle mover in Dana's terms after winning the belt mainly because of his religious affiliation and so is the reason Poireir v Khabib is being scheduled in UAE because they are paying a hell lot of money to host Khabib, Poireir is fighting really well and a good stand up fighter but everyone knows what Khabib does, no one can resist his take downs and he is the best ground and pound fighters in MMA, Tony fight might not be a PPV blockbuster but a hell of a fighter who can challenge Khabib on the ground.

Considering all of this I would say having a signature campaign cost would hurt their overall existence with unneccesary costs.
They are standing tall for a very long time for a reason, they have sufficient funds to run any campaign here but the irony is that they do not need to run one to have some exposure as they have built their reputation and exposure by including contents and updating their site what the users wanted and till now they do not have any scam accusation against them, i guess you understand what point i am trying to tell, the site you promote does have accusation by confiscating funds and yet they are running campaigns Tongue.
2469  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY 21 MILLION BITCOIN CANNOT SERVE THE WHOLE WORLD on: August 20, 2019, 10:31:53 AM
~snip
Did you believe Bitcoin will reach $20k in 2009? Or did you even believe that a Bitcoin could worth more than a gram of gold? I'd be really surpassed if you say yes, but now you don't believe that Bitcoin will reach that numbers.
I was not in bitcoin during 2009 and during that phase even Satoshi would not believe the price would catch up like that Tongue. For argument sake let the price of bitcoin reaches a million dollar and for that to happen the BTCitcoin market capital has to touch almost 16 trillion USD and do you think the technology has developed to include huge transaction volumes and how much transaction charges are you willing to pay if the price of BTCitcoin reaches a million dollar and hence i would say it is not a realistic argument now, if you have a better argument you can change my mind on that  Wink.
2470  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY 21 MILLION BITCOIN CANNOT SERVE THE WHOLE WORLD on: August 20, 2019, 03:34:18 AM
if satoshi is to be pegged to 1 cent and to be used as global currency, you see why it is necessary to have it expanded, because circulating money of the world will be short of about 5900 trillion satoshis.
There is the biggest problem with all your calculation, you cannot peg Satoshi to 1 cent but with all the speculation that the price would go to a million dollars then you can say that 1 Satoshi is one cent and for that to happen it will take a very long time, i really want to be optimistic about the price of bitcoin reaching a million dollars, but realistically it is impossible to reach those valuation.  .

However a good cricketer gets determined through the test matches he play.
Majority or all of the players does not have a secondary career and people are smart enough to make a good living when they are fit and are able to make the maximum amount of savings for their life when they are in good or decent form and majority does not care about some unknown people judging them, money rules everything and it is a small window that they have the opportunity to make good amount of money before they retire and if they go after that who is there to complaint and more over test matches are taxing for a fast bowler and it can reduce his prime playing days and therefore there is nothing wrong if they want to prolong their career just by playing shorter version of the game.
2474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 13, 2019, 05:29:32 PM
Without Roy England betting line up was a mess in the middle of the tournament. I think they had to bring back Roy early to save their WC mission even he was not fit 100%.
It was a fact that Roy was their lucky charm as England need him in the team for them to win and when he was out injured they were struggling even with a strong batting line up and lost a couple of matches which i was not expecting, you had some big losses betting for England with low odds  Undecided.

There are concerns in Australia's batting line up however I think they will win. I will go for Austral to win or the worse will be a draw.
Smith is continuing his prime form in test matches and he is the main stay for Australia and if Warner and Usman Khawaja returns to form then it is trouble for England, the problem with is that England does not have any classic test players who have the patience to stay in the crease for a long time.
2475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 13, 2019, 04:51:35 PM
Win or lose, I think a third fight between Jones and DC will still happen. None in the division can challenge Jones like DC.
The problem is that i like Daniel Cormier as a fighter and i expected it to be a really close fight when they fought, but Jon Jones dominated the first fight and even took Cormier down a few times and he was dominating every round, the second fight he finished him with head strike and ground and pound and it was interesting till that moment but it was not even a challenge for Jones, the only challenge would be if they fight in the heavyweight division as Cormier is not cutting weight and has knockout power too and that will be a contest for Jones.
2476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 13, 2019, 03:11:47 PM
I'm having a doubt that DIaz can pull this off because it's very hard to be in good shape and fighting mindset once again. I mean, we all knew that Diaz was gone for almost 3 years and that's not a joke. I think he should triple his effort if he really want to beat Pettis.
Pettis is coming off from a huge victory over Stephen Thompson and he is confident going into this bout again Nate Diaz who is coming after a long lay off and ring rust is a real thing, but he is a durable fighter and we might see a war as both are stand up fighers.

HW means Heavyweight? Why that division? Jones is on the Light Heavyweight, maybe it's just a mistake Grin. Anyway, DC vs Bones is not so special already, much better would be DC against Lesnar! What do you guys think?
Jones Jones moving up in heavyweight to take the belt from Cormier will be a much bigger fight that Cormier coming down to light heavy weight because we have already seen two fights and we all know the result. Lesnar will not be back until he gets any exception from USADA Cheesy.
2477  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain-based anti-counterfiet drugs made by Students from Cebu Phillippines on: August 13, 2019, 01:16:13 PM
The main goal is to integrate blockchain-based technology in the Pharmaceutical system to bust and prevent all the counterfiet drugs. It was amazing that these young minds think of a good way on how to stop the spreading of fake medicines. There are so many counterfeit drugs that are still proliferating and widespread in different pharmacy outlets.
It is a good initiative as counterfeit products are rampant in third world countries and especially if you are taking fake medicines it will cause adverse health issues and it is criminal to play with other peoples life to earn more money and if that can be crushed by these innovation then it is well and good and all the third world countries have to take initiative on this route to crush the counterfeit market.
2478  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC delays decision on ETF again on: August 13, 2019, 12:40:40 PM
Another delay. I reckon everyone does not care anymore and knows that bitcoin can Tom Lee itself to $25k without an ETF hehehe.
In any case, mark the dates mentioned in the article and expect another delay.
There was a time when the market would become active when the hearing date was nearing but now no one really cares whether they accept ETF or not as the SEC is dragging this for a very long time and everyone will loose interest if that happens and that is what we are seeing here, the final decision on the Bitwise is expected by October 13 and SolidX is expected by October 18.
2479  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Crypto not meant for humans’ says Anthony Pompliano on: August 13, 2019, 11:16:51 AM
That's exactly what I thought! Crypto will not make you rich if you do not study it, if you do not gain experience with each new transaction
To understand the true value of bitcoin you need to use it as a transaction platform rather than see it as a store of value, even if you study every transaction it will not make you rich, you need to have an understanding on how the market moves if you are planning to make money with any market Tongue.

Quote
The reason it is so hard for so many humans to understand crypto assets is because these assets are not for us. They are being built for the machines. Pompliano said.
I understood what he meant now, if you extract a content and then re-post it you could create misunderstanding and i knew something was fishy with the headlines.

But the fact is that you really need to know and understand machine language or how it works to start using bitcoin.
2480  Economy / Economics / Re: 🔵 Facebook Agrees to Pay $5 BILLION, BUT will they ever stop?? on: August 13, 2019, 10:26:09 AM
I don't think they will ever stop, Facebook needs data so they can work out and create data that they can offer to their advertisers because they offer targetted leads, they need location, preferences age and other vital information, without it, they have no way create targeted leads without it.
For a company to pay $5 billion as fines for selling sensitive data is not a small thing and if they continue that practice they will be penalized bigger amount which is not good for their business and at what point do you think that they will be stopping these bullshit. The fines that are imposed are not at all small amounts by any means for any business and they should stop their bad practices if not they will end up bankrupt in a few years time.
