@Juggy777, Swordsoffreedom & ene1980

Thanks for your replies. I understand your skepticism regarding the current form of the Irish cricket team. Actually, their performance seems to have gone downhill after they got the test status. But still, I am a bit more optimistic. From what I have seen, the Irish players have a never say die attitude. They have managed upsets, even during the most distressing times. I am just hoping that they will not end up like Kenya (after all the hype made when they reached the 2003 World Cup semi-finals).
If you ask me i really love the underdog winning the match but when Ireland defeated England in the World Cup they had a really young team and they had some really surprising players that are not exposed to the general population especially Kevin O'Brien was crucial for the win and i seriously do not remember them replicating that win against any top opponents after that but the present England team is the best they had as long as i remember watching cricket.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum (ETH) Price on Course to $300 on: July 21, 2020, 11:39:04 PM
It would be nice for ETH to rise in value as well, as transaction fees rise. The fact is that something is apparently happening, but I cannot figure out what exactly. I again recently transferred Ethereum from one wallet to another, with a volume of no more than $ 20, while my transaction fee was $ 1.20. Could this be due to the fact that I am using the Trust Jack app?
It is a strange point of view that you are expecting the price of ETH to increase because of its increasing fees Roll Eyes. If that is the case the price of bitcoin will also increase in a heart beat as the transaction charges are increasing in it too Tongue. The things you are not able to figure out is that the hyped ETH 2 roll out is delayed and the complaints they used to shower towards bitcoin is biting them back.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Elon Musk trolls DogeCoin and it’s prices rises? on: July 21, 2020, 11:06:08 PM
If you have been following Elon Musk for quiet a while then you may have noticed that he’s often trolled DogeCoin in the past, and this time he’s trolled it by sharing a image of DogeCoin eating the entire financial system. Furthermore what’s amused me is that his tweets made the prices of DogeCoin rise upwards, and if he continues with these kind of tweets then he alone can pump up the DogeCoin prices to record levels.
Is this a recent development from Elon Musk or is it the old tweet he did a long time back?. Now he might not be in the mood to do these fun things as he is battling the Amber Heard court case as he is also dragged into it and reports are coming out that will not be a good image for him. Elon Musk always had a hard on for dogecoin as his tweets in the past made a rally in the coin .
1484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO might soon become an history in crypto world soon on: July 21, 2020, 10:29:35 PM
Presently it's impossible because investors feels more safer using IEO, they know that to make profits from IEO crowdfunding they have to choose projects from top exchanges, gate, binance, huobi etc, in Security IEO wins over ICO, it's not gonna fade any time soon.
Feeling safe does not mean that we will see more projects using IEO as it will go down like the ICO market because statistics will not lie, just take a look at some of the projects listed in top exchanges and how many got their profit and if you check those statistics you will understand how safe these are  Tongue. In the initial period of the IEO craze many projects helped investors in making a good profit but it will not last that long.
1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tron's Justin Sun Offers $1 Million Bounty For Twitter Hackers on: July 21, 2020, 10:05:25 PM
Guys, I know there's a facade in this thread of Justin Sun just doing this for publicity and all that, but think about it, who wouldn't relish at the thought of earning a million dollars just by tracking someone down? Most likely it's going to be split among a group of people because cases like these require a team effort.
Not necessary to have a huge team, anyone who is having the knowledge about the hack and we know how it all transpired and how the media pinpointed it to a kid in the UK but he knew about all this from a discord channel and the hack happened because of the bad security practices of twitter as they were lousy in dealing with sensitive tools and when the back end tool is leaked you get these kind of situations.

It is better to sue twitter by the people who lost money because of this mishap.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 21, 2020, 09:17:24 PM
Watford took a hell of a beating, they will be hoping Aston Villa lose to Arsenal tonight which is probably likely. None of the teams down the bottom can win a game atmS
I was expecting a goal from Watford but that did not happen, either way i went with over 2.5 goals in the match and happy to see the flurry of goals even though Watford was not able to score but your expectation of Arsenal winning the match just went down the drains as Aston Villa was able to hold on to the goal they scored in the first half and i was expecting 1.5 goals in the match but luckily went with under 3.5 goals and i thought i was risking just before the match started but the entire match saw a single goal  Grin.
1487  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Life Insurance using Cryptocurrency on: July 21, 2020, 08:34:45 PM
1. Fast Claim Processing
In insurance, blockchain can simplify claims processing for the nominee. Once the insurer verifies the claim, it will be recorded on blockchain to trigger the right contract execution.
Introducing a blockchain will not change the verification process as it will be done manually and you are bound to get the right contract execution irrespective of blockchain.

2. Instant Fund Disbursement
The interaction between insurers and policyholders will become more direct during the claim process. With technology advancement backed by blockchain, insurers will be able to transfer claim proceeds directly into customers’ digital wallets.
Even now it s transferred in customers bank wallet, i do no want to see a situation where every company starts their own token because it defeats the purpose of bitcoin.

The only thing that will improve is the data quality but if they are using their own blockchain then there is no security on that aspect too as they can manipulate the data if they are the central authority powering the blockchain.

1488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 21, 2020, 07:23:57 PM
I read somewhere that broadcaster want to cover Diwali slot (14 Nov) as well, can't find report and BCCI want to conclude IPL season soon (7th Nov) due to Ind-Aus series ( Reasons : mandatory 14- days quarantine, practice games etc).
What is diwali slot, there is nothing going on during this period and that will continue till November as well.

He was facing 2 year ban but ICC reduced his ban to 1 year and he should be available to intl cricket from Oct 2020 so there is some chance.
Hopefully he has maintained his fitness during these time so that it will be easier for him to resume cricket once the ban is lifted, if not it is a struggle to resume anything in life if you are not doing anything for a year.

Shakib is banned so he can't play any domestic or international league. Just hoping it will happen becoz Cricket World Cup also got cancelled.
Since his ban will be over by that time he is lucky enough to play the T20 world which is postponed to next year.
1489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 21, 2020, 06:31:59 PM
People should have much more healthy approach to cryptocurrencies than "get rich quick" and should use bitcoin even if it was going to take 100 years to break ATH again.
Is it a bad practice to speculate, i do not think so, you cannot expect the bitcoin market to be like the stock market but it is exactly like the forex market, the more demand the price moves higher and speculation is one aspect of these rallies.

Only then the whole system makes sense, otherwise, even if Bitcoin was not meant to be a Ponzi Scheme and obviously is not a Ponzi Scheme, it is actually approached by many "investors" as Ponzi Scheme and they hope to be at the bottom of it. That is simply wrong.
No one consider bitcoin as ponzi and you can link both of these together. Giving higher benefit in a short period is not a wrong thing, every market in the initial phase will give a much bigger profit and bitcoin is a new market and anyone who invested in the beginning made a fortune.

If different crypto news stopped speculating about the price all the time it would be beneficial for the quality of the whole crypto sphere.
If people stopped being obsessed by the price, it would be good too.
If not for the speculation, you cannot call bitcoin to be a globally adoptable coin since we are far away from mass adoption because of the limitations and the confirmation time for the past few days are really high, so speculation during these times are not that bad.

1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting biggest winners. on: July 21, 2020, 04:34:04 PM
How would you do that guys? do you consistently bet on parlay with big odds
Looks like a dream, to get a huge parlay with good odds you need to be really lucky and i have seen many players hitting big odds in sports parlay in stake with small amounts and i have seen someone winning over 50 bitcoin a few months back with a small amount. I try my best to replicate some of the big odds but most of the time i end up loosing  Cheesy. I only wage on soccer MMA and cricket for over a year and my best odds i could get a full parlay win was over 160 odds but the amount placed was really low.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 21, 2020, 03:34:41 PM
All set and IPL is ready to go in around Sep-Nov in UAE. They are asking Gov permission, Plus broadcaster and BCCI arguing over schedule, dates. Stay tune for details..
The broadcasters will have a problem with the scheduling, may be they are not planning to give out the amount that is offered earlier, we have seen these sort of issues with Series A broadcasting where they were not willing to pay the full amount to the clubs citing schedules.

Shakib (Ban) should join as well, no reports yet tho.
Sri Lankan board recently denied NOC to players for CPL, so situation is not clear.
What is the situation with shakib al hasan will the ban be over by that time. When it comes to IPL the Sri Lankan cricket board might give the NOC as they might not be interested in having any battles with the BCCI.
1492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: July 21, 2020, 02:30:28 PM
However, I'm surprised that the Indian government decided to raise this issue again after they have supported bitcoin because India is also kind of centralized country but crypto related company CEO are already fighting against the new bill.
I am following cryptocurrency news globally and i have not heard about the Indian government in support of the bitcoin market and i think they banned the exchanges from conducting business by restricting the banks in dealing with them and the supreme court came up with a verdict that helps the exchanges after a long battle and not the government and with that being the case i wont be surprised if the government tries to ban the market altogether.
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina’s telecommunications hacked, demands Monero for ransom on: July 20, 2020, 08:41:11 PM
It's interesting that the hackers are now demanding Monero, instead of the usual BTC which is the mode of ransom for many such attacks. Its for $7.5 million, and that is huge amount, I don't know if the company are willing to comply though, so let's see how things will turn out.
Looks like the hackers have learned their lesson the hard way as you can ask for a ransom with bitcoin and expect to be anonymous and hence they are venturing into other coins that are advertising themselves as secure anonymous coins and if there is long list of hackers demanding monero then the developers will have a hard time with the authorities.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 20, 2020, 06:53:27 PM
I mentioned this before. They are a very inconsistent team especially in test and ODI formats. England would have won this one even more decisively if it wasn't for the rain interference.
We could not see a match like this if the ICC was to cut short the Test format to 4 days, England could have won the match easily if rain did not interrupt but with that interruption we saw a thrilling finish to the match and for anyone betting on the match or for the fans i would like to see matches like these rather than one sided domination. Final Test starts on 24 th July and i bet on England winning the series with that win and hopefully there will not be any rain interruption deciding the series.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 20, 2020, 05:11:45 PM
Breaking News: Its official fellas, T-20 world cup is cancelled. ICC start talking about 2021 WC window now. BCCI giggling and partying lol expecting some IPL related news soon.
Finally the ICC revealed their secret plan  Cheesy, not sure why they were holding this as if everything would be back to normal in a short period and now the rest of the franchise cricket tournaments can plan their schedule and resume their matches and after those tournaments the ICC might take a position on the future whether international matches can be conducted on the same model Grin.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 20, 2020, 03:43:15 PM
Okay 0.05 BTC on England.
Wish me luck you all punters :-D

If I lose this then this will be 2nd time losing a big stake while favoring England. Last time it was England Vs Sri Lanka in the World cup.
England just need to pick 4 more wickets to win the match and they have plenty of overs to pick those wickets and hopefully you will win the bet, but the odds were low when i checked so thought of skipping that. During world cup i had some disastrous picks as Pakistan won against England and Bangladesh toppling South Africa and it was a series of misses which i like to forget  Grin.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 19, 2020, 11:59:18 PM
I'm not exactly a fan of Whittaker but I'm interested to see how he will bounce back after losing the belt. Former champs don't usually have a good comeback fights. Darren Till is one cocky fighter but he has the skills to back it up. Coming off a win against Gastelum after back-to-back losses against Woodley and Masvidal, he must have gotten his confidence back. I bet they'll stay true to their fighting style and slug it out and this will most likely end in a KO/TKO.
I am not a big fan myself but he is a gentleman who just goes his way and does not talk trash and so is the reason he is not attracting the fans but skill wise he is a really talented fighter. I am expecting Robert Whittaker to bounce back in style and Darren Till will be under pressure to perform as this fight can determine the path to the title for both these fighters.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Projects Below Top 100 Coinmarketcap? on: July 19, 2020, 11:35:30 PM
This is just an idea. In the case of long-term investments, investments should not be made just because they are listed on a large exchange. Because you probably know how big exchanges delist coins. So without looking at the big exchanges, you should look at the project. The more a project develops, the better it will be in the project market. I have seen a lot of coins that are listed on big exchanges but are being dumped in a very bad way.
It is true, there is no point in looking at the exchanges it is listed, if you are investing in any projects then you should follow their development and be active in the social media channels to understand what they are planning to do and any project that is able to collect huge amounts can always spend money to list them in big exchanges but if they are not delivering in time the price will dump and the best part is to follow the developers wallet as i have seen many projects dumping their coins once they are sure that the project is failing.
1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 19, 2020, 10:58:29 PM
Just remember WestIndies were 242 for 4 before their batting line up collapsed. WI top batsmen are in good form so England need more overs to dismiss 10 WestIndies players tomorrow. Also first they need to score a 100 more runs to secure their place and give a target above 300 runs. I don't see so many things happening tomorrow and this test match is heading towards a draw.
The smart thing is to give West Indies a chaseable target so that they will try to chase the total down thereby picking up the wickets and then we the audience will have an entertaining match, if not we will see a draw and so England do not need to put up a lead of 300 runs to put West Indies to bat, if the England captain is smart enough he will come out to bat for one hour and then declare the innings and put pressure back to West Indies.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 19, 2020, 10:05:03 PM
Someone can confirm this - the next international ODI match will be played on 30th this month, between England and Ireland in Southampton. England seems to be struggling against West Indies now, and therefore I would say that there is a realistic chance of an upset or two. Ireland is not in great form for the last 1-2 years, but a win against England can be life-changing for them.
You cannot underestimate the England side in ODI, in the Test format it was a close match in the first game against West Indies and they were lucky as England was rusty in the field as they dropped many chances in the final day and in the second Test the weather was helping West Indies and one day was washed away and that will provide West Indies an advantage as they could draw the match from this situation but not expecting any upset from Ireland and that too in ODI.
