2481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to learn bitcoin trading? on: November 16, 2019, 04:46:41 PM
I have invested in bitcoin, and i would like to learn about trading bitcoin to hopefully maximize both my current and future investments.

Since i am completely new to the world of crypto i would appreciate it if more knowledgable people have any good resources or tips to share. Both for (hopefully) profiting from trading, and for practical tips on how to reduce fees, maximize security in a practical manner and anything else that is necessary and/or helpful in my quest to accumulate bitcoin.
Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency in thw world, most of those who are within the crypto space and even in the financial industry see it as something who would challenge fiat or the traditional currency. Referencing on its price history  there seem to be lots of volatility one will encounter along the way, but you can still trade it successfully.
Upon trading you need to follow four steps:
 1. Decide how you want to deal bitcoin, there are actually to ways. First is,
buy the cryptocurrency itself and hope to sell it for a profit or speculate it's value and never own one.
2. Learn the factors that moves bitcoin's price, while the latter's volatility makes it attractive, its also highly risky to speculate on.
3. Choose a bitcoin strategy. There are lots of it just do your reasearch about those.
4. Lastly, make your first bitcoin trade.

"Something one knows "or the knowledge factor (halimbawa PINs, password)
"Something one has" or possesion factor (halimbawa: Cellphone, Atm, token, PMI Certificates)
"Something one is" or the biometrics factor (halimbawa: Finger prints, Irises, behavioural analyses and voice)

2483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTERNATIVES MEANS IN CRYPTOCURRENCY JOBS APART FROM BOUNTIES. on: November 15, 2019, 06:02:27 PM
Can there be any alternative means of earning cryptocurrencies apart from bounty camapaigns, mining and staking. kindly share with us under this tread please. personally, i think th days of bounties are OVER due to scam projects that failed their ICOS. some even migrated into IEO and failed again.
we have lost most bounty companies here all due to the poor performance and scandalous nature of some projects that has no future
amazik ,bountyplatform, bountyhivo, all sidelined.
could their be an alternative to cryptocurrency marketing and if there is, can some shade more light here.
Cryptocurrency's scope is broad, so the means of earning it is also broad and not only limited  to these specific jobs thatbwe usually found on forums. Bitcoin boom created jobs tahtbare roited bybvariety of knowledge and skill sets even outside the line of work of crypto space. Thw listing of jobs thatare related to cryptocurrency, bitcoin, and blockchain have risen up to 194% according to CEB and Monster analysis. One of the job is Marketing development representative since cryptocurrency is creating new and different business opportunities accross various industries, you can also be a Data scientist bamecause of the nature of technology of blockchain, expertise in data science is in need.
Too many to mention but the following are the most significant among the listed jobs:
-Financial Analyst
-Journalist
-Machine Learning Engineer
-Marketing Manager
-Research analyst
-Security Architect
-Technical writer
-Web developer

2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not advance as a bounty hunter? on: November 15, 2019, 05:45:14 PM
Some people have been bounty hunters for a long time (e.g, for the past 2 or3 years) and till now, they are still on the act of hunting for more altcoins.
It is true that the reward hunters now get is so small compared to what was obtainable 2 to 3 years ago and not only that, it now takes more time to be paid than it was. So, instead of complaining, why not through some of the experience you have got, since your sojourn in the crypto space, explore other means through which you can earn more and fill your portfolio.

N.B:
This might be like  a vital information. There are lots of projects that did bounty campaigns (although not all), which have decided to extent the time of payment of tokens to their bounty participants. Whose tokens are growing tremendously after listing on exchange. Which means that traders and investors of projects like these get their profits before bounty hunters are paid.

DISCLAIMER:: Although, this is not an investment advice, but an observation, which i have decided to call your attention to.
Experience could really be of use, especially if you will apply and use it for something new. But since bounty hunters have only been bounty hunters for how long they might have been one, their experience might not have been enough to be of any use in entering other field. Although, yes, they can't just cry and complain about how big their income have decreased compared to what they had years ago, hunters might be on this dilemma of doubting what they already know, wondering if they could already use their experiences as their swords upon entering a new battleground metaphorically and that might be what stops them from doing so.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that you shouldn't rely on icobench and others on: November 15, 2019, 05:33:44 PM
This is a warning to all newbies that seek help from ico rating websites when they are looking for projects to invest money on..

Facts
- You have good money to pay? you will get good rating on the platform, this is the way of ico rating websites
- Good projects can get bad rating on them, and that doesn't mean they are bad project..

For example, you must have been hearing about how successful gowithmi project was right? check out the rating on icobench using the link below.

https://icobench.com/ico/gowithmi

The score is 3.3 where as projects that have better rating turned scam as well, all i am saying is its better to rely more on your own research and not rating.
We have all the resources and its free so we can check it out and do our own research about projects, but we still rely on platforms that would give us quick results since most of us wants everything on an instant. There are some that would say that we can read reviews and use it as references but sometimes its still unreliable, as of now companies, businesses, and projects would spend money for advertisements either they would pay people to do a positive review about their service or products, or invest in payingvprogrammers to make bots that will do it for them.
2486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALERT: Phishing Brave browser [Please Read] on: November 15, 2019, 04:39:56 PM
Its the same when you get some kind of emails from other services or platforms , like ebay , paypal etc.
The most of this emails when you click on it has phishing and Malware in it and also just for the future this kind of platforms dont send you emails to update your things.

Wonders me that they dont have written in there email send 100 Bat and get 1500 back.

All of the schemes are being identical and are being done the same way with the same tactics, I just don't get why according to statistics there are approximately £27 million that has been stole in the last financial year. According to the UK's national centre for reporting cybercrime, from the past period scams tripled in number mainly suggested that it was because of peoples desire to be rich quickly that even with the most blatant scheme they would fall. I do really hope that people would also start to want to avoid losing their money through scams because of their impossibke desire.
2487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid falling into a FOMO trap on: November 14, 2019, 06:54:18 PM
That was a good point, but to avoid them it to control your own temper and have you own research and studies. our own knowledge and research will get us out of any loss.
Though i know we can't avoid them 100 percent, but still it will always depend on us on how we will entertain them, if we have no brain to use we will always get the bait.
The last say is still really on us, if we can control ourselves and think rationally, we can guarantee that 100% of not falling into this FOMO since FOMO is not only being encountered here in the cryptospace but even in the real world, out of jealousy and desire to be "IN", that thing that makes you say yes into outings, shopping and anyyjing about spending evwn though you can't afford it.
Once you learn to question everything to ascertain the underlying motive you will be less likely to fall into a fomo trap.
Yes to this, its the intention of what are the current trend that should also count as one to be considered so that you will know if you're gonna let yourself getbswayed bybut, which is in the first place you shouldn't, to be critical about where you are spending and what you will do with your coins.

I have received a PM from user aRTyMK4 asking me to buy his Senior Member account which I have never asked him nor I am looking for.. Is it okay to create a flag for account seller? Also, can I publish the text/image here as public?

The Pharmacist already tagged him, I have done also.
There are claims that this same acccount had been tagged for doing the same thing, which is dm'ing members to buy his Sr. member account. This has to stop because its not being eesential and the members that has been dm'ed by this account won't find it fine and okay recieving one since not everyone is interested and allows this kind of flags.

It would be best if this account will be reported directly to the moderators so like what The Pharmacist said, he will get what serves him right which is to be banned. His actions is not contributing to the betterment of the forum and not helping to make it a healthy environment. But posting this here is also a good thing so that this account's behavior will be noticed and be reprimanded an appropriate verdict.
2489  Economy / Reputation / Re: A large farm consisting of bots. on: November 14, 2019, 06:24:15 PM
This cases are really growing and its not surprising since its that time of the year again where people needs to join bounties, and signature campaigns as much as they can for the sake of earnings. There are also cases where only one person owns several accounts and letting other use them then they will have partial parts of the money that will be earned, sometimes its just really one person operating more than one account and just uses VPN so their IP won't be traced.

Anyway, good catch on this, OP.  I clicked on a couple of their profiles and those weren't wearing any signature.  Are they currently enrolled in a bounty?  If so, you might want to bring this thread to the attention of the bounty manager.

Yes, I found them in the bounty of the company https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5194740.0 and in most others. I will inform the manager now. But I want to hope that managers themselves will be able to notice such a revival in their campaigns.
Their writing style is very similar and attracts attention.
if only the managers of bounties will check further, they could really find accounts that belongs to a farm bots. Its so essy to spot one noe since they are all just mirroring each others move and style in posting making them expose their shilling activities.
2490  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: November 14, 2019, 05:32:46 PM
What do you think, how many people are ready to sell their goods or services on crypto? Let's say that we have service which help quick and easy to build online store and sell for cryptocurrency. What kind of reasons can motivate people to start a crypto business?
Businesses, e-commerce, and major tech companies are already launching and some are already in it, accepting bitcoin and other alternative cryptocurrencies as their payment option. prefers to use digital currency as payment for goods and services and capitalizing for  the growing market demographics of the latter and it was said by the latest statistics of University of cambridge that small businessesnare the fastest adopters of cryptocurrency payment methods. What have convinced them using digital currency is the notorious volatility of coins such as ETH and BTC that increases up to 20% per day and the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency will offer a spectrum of advantages that would benefit small businesses.
2491  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: November 14, 2019, 05:12:03 PM
What if all those big corporates and businesses starts using crypto as a mode of payment just to avoid tax which will cause a direct loss to the government which uses tax for the betterment of the country. This might not affect corrupt countries as it doesn't matter because tax money goes to politician's coffers but what about developed nations?
If this will be the case, There are two sides of speculations. Some says that the global economy will surely boost and Financial stability experts has been telling that cryptocurrencies aren't a threat to the economy but actually has a great potential in boosting it and that potential should not be underestimated. But the European central bank is considering another problem, it is about how the prime monetary system would be affected and economy itself. The economy might be affected because the blockchain is designed to exclude intermediaries transforming the existing financial system. However. blockchain is being seen to still have a potential to be effectively used for banking system.
2492  Economy / Economics / Re: If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin on: November 13, 2019, 07:54:14 PM
If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin?
I personally think that people will take their money out and will invest it somewhere else.

Do you think that bitcoin will be a good alternative?
There had been many viewpoint about this topic and all ends up with the statement that means no one could still predict it correctly since such predictions are usually being based with historical events. The first thing to consider in answering in this question is, are the stocks and bitcoin correleted? If bitcoin happened to be of any correlation with stocks, a move by stocks also means an opposite or parallel move on the same time frame for bitcoin. But analysts says that there hasn't any data that have showed any clear correlation of the two. But if we will look at how it will affect each other with an attack psychologically, it might have an effect on bitcoin if a major crash happened. For instance, the major crash happened and the investors got scared for their assets and pulled out their money, thatbwill surely affect bitcoin.
2493  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Bankers Say Cryptocurrencies Do Not Threat The Global Financial Stability on: November 13, 2019, 07:41:24 PM
Members of G20 group of nations' central bamk governors and ministers  had a meeting about it in fukoka Japan, and their discussion touched cryptocurrency space, economoc growth and financial stability. Financial leaders aimed to align anti-money laundering and discussed counter the funding of terrorism so that money won't be used for any ill intended activities. In this meeting they've also discussed that cryptocurrency doesn't affect or not even stand as a threat, in the contrary they even see that it has a great potential. They even admitted that technological innovations like these that underlies to the crypto aasets can deliver financial benefits to the financial stability system. They even brought up the concerns about the loss of funds of some users of crypto due to hacking and urged the FSB to work on enhancing cyber resilence.
2494  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: November 13, 2019, 07:15:05 PM
Well I understand where Malaysia is coming from, the country is very counter reactive for every unpleasant activities such as this, to curb elicit activities and to  strenghten the country's financial integrity. Suggesting malaysian people to use bitcoin as an alternative payment method is a good idea, it will surely boost up bitcoin economy once people started following it especially if big businesses do as said since bitcoin's volatility is affected by how high or the demand is due to the limited supply of it. But the problem is, people could still use online transferring of money through banks and still use fiat in order to do so, This is why I don't think this act of malaysia is enough to push people of the latter into using bitcoin since there's still some way close to what they traditionally know they could still resort.
2495  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: November 13, 2019, 06:53:00 PM

Lately, there is a big buzz and fuzz on the introduction of the new cryptocurrency (some called it as fake) called as Libra which is under the leadership and influence of the people behind the Facebook social media conglomerate. What resembled like a circus, politicians and other known personalities expressed apprehension that what Libra can bring will put the global financial and economic system under jeopardy and control of a select few men which I assumed the public don't trust.

But I am wondering...is Libra really that potent that it can disrupt the currency financial system or are these people just imagining things which will never happen anyway? Are we ascribing power and influence on Mark Zuckerberg that can turn out to be a dud later?
Facebook is powerful, there's no question with that but Libra isn't that powerful and won't even be one since the crypto space won't give it that power. It wasn't even being released since only the experimental code of it was being out in the public. The big fuzz that libra has caused is mainly because of the criticism and whatever obstacles this project is facing because of the shuft of details and other legislators of it raising new ambitious plans. And if what the public are being afraid of is the fuzz it has been causing, I don't think it's something worth worrying because its fuzz will just stay fuzz.
2496  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 13, 2019, 04:15:02 PM

With so many controversies arising from this tech giant's ambitious actions, we never truly asked the most important question.

Would the people actually use Libra should it be approved by the congress?
I don't think there' s a need for that since I am not into doing transactions with facebook.  Plus, this project of facebook is very ambitious, they would just add up to the number of alternative cryptocurrencies that doesn't have a chance of surviving that long. Facebook libra will be facing lots of headwinds, because even now that the coin isn't even released and only the experimental was out, libra is already facing lots of criticism. So, I can't really imagine what would happen on its official release which is on 2020. I think its enough for facebook to be the largest and most used social media platform and stop dreaming about being also on top of crypto space.
2497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whet is the best marketplace to buy Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 06:18:32 PM
Hi,

 >:(I'm new but I'm looking trusted site to buy. Please help me. Angry

Thanks
There are actually lits of platform to use since butcoin has been evolving and companies are trying to catch up with the trend. The most recommended platforms are Binance, Coinbase, Bitrex, poloniex, kraken, Gemini, and bitsamp. You can also read reviews about these platforms and. see what suits your taste and skills well as a beginner.
Well!! Coinbase and binance are the best market place to buy bitcoins.
I also think Binance is the best among all the platform that has been around the crypto world. Binance is the worlds biggest bitcoin exchange, it has more than 100 supported cryptocurrencies for withdrawal and deposit, it offers the most competitive rates around. Binance is also a crypto only exchange so if yourbkooking for a crypto to crypto transaction this is the best and cheapest way to go. Another thing that makes it best is, it was recently partnered with Simplex so it could allow credit card premium purchases of cryptocurrencies.
2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 05:41:28 PM
According to this article , only 6.2% of a highly developed country like the US of America own Bitcoin , which seems unreasonable among the crypto community who rely on the Americans for Bitcoin to be mass adopted quite fast around the world. Here is the link of the news:
 https://www.tronweekly.com/bitcoin-advisory-founder-shares-research-that-shows-6-2-percent-of-american-citizens-own-bitcoin/
I've read the article and it shows that the majority of the respondents do not own any cryptocurrency, specifically bitcoin and also not interested about buying some anytime soon or later. The reason why bitcoin's adoption has been hitting the critical level of popularity index is because people hasn't even heard of it and barely know what bitcoin is all about, bitcoin is lacking in terms of the marketing that advertise it and make it to the mainstream. The popularity and the good image of bitcoin only circulates within the cryptospace, not reaching non BTC fans and letting them know the things that hooked crypto enthusiast's interests.
Also, people that are said to be 55 of age above increased the number of non-BTC fans, that article was right that this was probably because people of thatge is nearung the retirement age and would prefer investing in a stable coin rather than bitcoin which is very volatile and risky to even start.

2499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of bringing Bitcoin to non-crypto users on: November 12, 2019, 05:25:22 PM
I just ordered the Wirex card and hope to get it soon. The idea is to receive crypto (Bitcoin) by doing stuff that I would be doing anyway.

What other ways do you know to receive / earn Bitcoin for everyday stuff outside of the crypto world that could bring Bitcoin and other crypto directly to users for them to spend?
Well, there are still ways to earn bitcoin without doing trading and mining. Like what you said, earning outside crypto world is possible but you can't really detach your activity from crypto world since you are still aiming to earn bitcoin. No one in the crypto space starts ckean and good, they would need theuirr skills to leverage them in the decebtraluzed world so offering consultations and trainings could be a way to earn, since the demand for blockchain experties with traditional skills is on the rise, one could offer consulting and training servuces to newer blockchain projects.
The list of people that could earn bitcoin just by doing what they are supposed to do anyway goes on and on, best examples are accountants consukting on fund managements, lawyers specializing in blockchain and crypto law, stock exchange brokers consulting crypto related stuff and such. They could earn whenever they are since its easy to get oaid with bitcoin rather that traditional  way of payment but time consuming.
In terms of spreading bitcoin and getting non crypto users into using it, edicating the masses about it's advantage and how profitable bitcoin is could be a way or educate and persuade people to study crypto related things so they could offer services to businesses that needs blockchain and crypto expertise.
2500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the single most influential person in Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 05:01:40 PM
In other words:
If you had to choose one real person to represent Bitcoin (in the public or in a debate against other crypto currency representatives), who should it be?

(It's clear that Bitcoin isn't led or represented by any single one person officially, which is what makes that question so hard to answer. It's also clear that this is feature, not a bug!)
Many would say that Andreas is the most influential person in bitcoin universe, but for me its Roger Ver, from his dedication to advocate bitcoin and showing support to Satoshi Nakamoto's creation was known to be something no bounds, he's been one of the few people who's been a bitcoin evangelist virtually form the beginning. Ver is also the first angel investor of bitcoin and an outspoken advocate of it, now he is best known because of his support with bitcoin cash.
And if I were to choose someone who can be a representative of bitcoin in a debate, I would still choose him because of his youthful experiences with alternate currencies when his class during fifth grade invented a currency named after their teacher which is Lindyland dollar that is used tonoaybstudenta for their work. from his school up to now the point when he get to be bitcoin.com's executive chairman. He's entrepreneurial skill would be his edge in a debate.
